1:22 last week um but without further Ado
1:25 let's dive into the subject now to start
1:27 someone that has a faulty Doctrine
1:29 doesn't mean that they're a narcissist I
1:31 just want to make make that clear for
1:33 someone to have narcissistic personality
1:36 disorder they have to manifest at least
1:38 five of these nine following traits they
1:40 have a grandio sense of self-importance
1:43 they're preoccupied with beauty or
1:46 success or power or ideal love they
1:48 believe that they are special and unique
1:50 and can only associate or be understood
1:53 by other special unique High status
1:57 people they require excessive admiration
1:59 they have a massive sense of entitlement
2:03 and unreasonable expectations of people
2:05 and they want instant compliance from
2:08 people they exploit people they lack
2:10 empathy they are envious of others and
2:12 they believe that others are envious of
2:15 them they are arrogant prideful and
2:18 conceited so when it comes to a
2:20 religious narcissist you are dealing
2:22 with someone who is arrogant who doesn't
2:24 care about people deep down but actually
2:27 feels contempt envy and anger towards
2:30 the people God has called them to love
2:33 serve who can easily see people as their
2:35 enemies and believe it is their job to
2:38 punish them on behalf of God a person
2:40 who feels entitled to be treated like
2:43 they are a king or a queen who see God's
2:45 people as their personal servants and
2:48 slaves or possessions and not as God's
2:50 children Sovereign over their own lives
2:52 with their own unique god-given
2:54 Destinies these are people who are
2:57 addicted to honor and admiration and who
3:00 need to have fans and yes people around
3:02 them when you have someone with these
3:04 attitudes which are actually Antichrist
3:06 and anti- good and more aligned with the
3:09 devil then they will create their own
3:11 doctrines to suit their narcissism
3:14 narcissists deceive not by necessarily
3:17 heretical teachings or faulty teachings
3:19 the Bible says that the sum of Thy word
3:22 is truth so that means all of God's word
3:25 in its entirety is truth but a
3:27 narcissist has their pet teachings and
3:29 scriptures that they put a lot more
3:30 weight on
3:32 and that's the insidiousness of it all
3:35 it's the deception by omitting the whole
3:37 picture and by putting disproportionate
3:40 weight on some scriptures while ignoring
3:41 other ones
3:44 completely another way that a covert
3:46 narcissist deceives is through a
3:48 complete disconnect between what they
3:51 say and how they behave and insulating
3:53 themselves from any person that could
3:56 call them out or challenge them on their
3:58 behavior now they may actually have
4:00 sound teachings but the way they live
4:03 their lives and go about relationships
4:05 and the work they do is completely
4:08 diabolical and they insulate themselves
4:10 from anyone that can hold them
4:12 accountable like a drug addict a
4:15 narcissist is addicted to narcissistic
4:17 Supply what this means is that
4:19 everything they do is for the sole
4:22 purpose of getting their drug fixed so
4:23 understand then that a religious
4:26 narcissist is not a slave to God but a
4:28 slave to their drug addiction unless a
4:31 narcissist come comes clean before God
4:33 with their addiction their idolatry of
4:35 their false self their need for healing
4:39 and salvation unless they are sincerely
4:41 seeking to follow God with all of their
4:43 hearts which means purifying their
4:46 hearts and becoming more like Jesus
4:48 Christ if that is not their motive in
4:50 being in the faith then they are likely
4:53 using the faith to feed their narcissism
4:55 instead of feeding God's sheep out of
4:57 their love and reverence for God they
5:00 are eating God's sheep to feed addiction
5:02 to narcissistic Supply so how does this
5:06 play out in two ways number one through
5:08 their outward appealing Winsome
5:12 endearing image to others and number two
5:13 through their aggression through
5:17 narcissistic abuse but of course in a
5:18 spiritual Community with a covert
5:21 narcissist who professes to be a
5:23 follower of Jesus Christ these things
5:26 will not be overt they will be covert
5:30 subtle nuanced Insidious camouflaged
5:32 with all kinds of spiritual language and
5:35 covering so in this video I'm hoping to
5:37 hack into these things to bring
5:40 awareness and Clarity so let's get into
5:42 the ways a narcissist goes after
5:44 narcissistic Supply with their spiritual
5:47 camouflage so number one a religious
5:50 narcissist pursues narcissistic Supply
5:53 by presenting as a Pious Godly person in
5:56 order to get admiration and honor so if
5:57 you notice someone that has an
5:59 inordinate need to showcase their
6:03 godliness how much they pray and fast
6:05 how much they're giving to other people
6:07 or Charities how much Ministry they're
6:09 doing how much they're serving how much
6:12 God is speaking to them that could be a
6:15 red flag that they are creating an image
6:17 this kind of image for the honor praise
6:20 and admiration of others they may also
6:23 be looking for fans and followers and
6:24 have no interest to cultivate
6:26 relationships or have people close
6:28 enough to them to speak truthfully into
6:31 their lives and Jesus said be careful
6:33 not to practice your righteousness in
6:36 front of others to be seen by them if
6:39 you do you will have no reward from your
6:41 father in Heaven basically what Jesus is
6:43 saying here is that anything done out of
6:45 the motive of getting praise and
6:48 admiration from others cancels any
6:50 reward or blessings that God would have
6:53 otherwise given them narcissistic Supply
6:56 then becomes the cheap substitute to
6:58 replace the true riches that could be
7:01 had by solely seeking to please God it's
7:04 really like the sin of Esau in the Old
7:06 Testament uh that he committed where he
7:08 traded in his spiritual inheritance for
7:12 a bowl of soup number two another way a
7:14 religious covert narcissist pursues
7:17 narcissistic Supply is to preach about
7:21 honor talk about honor demand it demand
7:23 submission and utter compliance from
7:25 others while ignoring the parts that
7:27 they are required to bring to the table
7:30 to deserve the honor and compliance such
7:32 as becoming an honorable person or
7:35 leading others with a servant heart if
7:37 they are a male narcissist they may be
7:39 fixated on their role of headship and
7:41 their demand for respect and they may
7:43 demand to be respected and use marriage
7:46 as a means to dominate a spouse because
7:48 they think that being the head is about
7:51 control and domination but they fail to
7:53 take in the scripture where they are
7:55 called as husbands to love their wives
7:58 as Christ loved the church and Christ
8:00 died for the church sacrif offcially
8:02 they would fail to practice Mutual
8:05 submission according to Ephesians
8:08 5:21 or a female covert narcissist May
8:11 seek narcissistic Supply by making
8:13 herself look Superior spiritually who
8:15 may call herself a prophetes like
8:18 Jezebel in the Bible in order to get the
8:21 admiration and respect of others and use
8:23 that to control and manipulate people if
8:25 you are around someone like this you may
8:27 be dealing with a religious narcissist
8:30 who is after narcissist Supply more than
8:33 they after following Jesus Christ now if
8:35 a covert religious narcissist is not
8:37 getting his or her Supply through the
8:40 positive means which is by presenting
8:42 themselves in a Winsome endearing way
8:45 that wins people's favor and admiration
8:47 then they will get it through aggressive
8:50 means through narcissistic abuse and
8:52 this usually happens with the people
8:54 closest to them and that is because
8:56 those people have been around them
8:58 enough to see through their mask and
9:00 frankly they are turned off by the
9:02 traits of the narcissist so since the
9:04 narcissist cannot succeed in getting
9:06 admiration and honor from these people
9:08 close to them they will get their sense
9:11 of significance through their aggression
9:14 against them and they will weaponize
9:16 scripture and put a spiritual cloak with
9:19 spiritual language on their aggression
9:22 which plays out through narcissistic
9:25 abuse in order to justify it so here are
9:27 some ways a covert religious narcissist
9:29 will spiritualize their aggression to
9:32 get narcissistic Supply from you number
9:35 one they will use examples of God's
9:38 control and Punishment of people mostly
9:40 from the Old Testament to justify their
9:43 use of control and punishment or demands
9:45 of people they're most likely to teach
9:47 about Moses on the Mountaintop getting
9:49 the Revelation from God and everybody
9:51 else has to submit and if they don't
9:54 submit the Earth is going to open up and
9:56 swallow them alive or something along
9:59 those lines I mean lawlessness was qu
10:01 punish quite severely in the Old
10:03 Testament uh there are a lot of stories
10:06 about it stories about people like Kora
10:09 and the men who rebelled with him where
10:11 the Earth swallowed them up or Absalom
10:13 who rebelled against his father King
10:16 David or Noah's son who saw him naked
10:19 and was cursed so there is quite a few
10:21 stories where there were massive curses
10:23 That Came Upon people who were Lawless
10:27 or disobedient so a narcissist is more
10:29 likely to go and harp on the those
10:32 scriptures and those stories and use
10:34 them to justify punishing and
10:37 controlling people to operate with a
10:39 cous heart towards people but the
10:42 problem is they omit to mention that the
10:44 first attribute that God uses to
10:47 describe himself when he reveals himself
10:50 to Moses is compassionate abounding in
10:54 love and slow to anger if the narcissist
10:57 is going to talk about an Old Testament
10:59 God then they need to cover the full
11:02 picture the Old Testament God describes
11:05 himself as first and foremost as
11:08 compassionate gracious loving slow to
11:11 anger God and if a narcissist is going
11:14 to refer to Moses on the Mountaintop
11:16 then they also have to account for the
11:18 fact that God gave his authority to a
11:21 man who was incredibly humble who never
11:24 took any challenges criticisms or
11:26 complaints personally but brought them
11:29 before our God each time with his Fai
11:31 down to the ground if a religious
11:33 narcissist wants to use examples of the
11:35 Old Testament to refer to themselves as
11:38 someone who carries the authority of God
11:39 they should also talk about the
11:42 incredible humility that is required of
11:44 them to carry such an authority just as
11:46 Moses who got on his face before God
11:49 whenever complaints and challenges were
11:51 brought before him the Bible actually
11:54 says about Moses now Moses was a very
11:57 humble man more humble than anyone else
11:59 on the face of the Earth number two two
12:02 a second way that a religious covert
12:04 narcissist pursues narcissistic Supply
12:07 aggressively is to focus on rules
12:10 performance and obedience over love yet
12:13 Jesus says we will be known for our love
12:15 a religious narcissist omits to talk
12:18 about the main thing which is love they
12:20 don't know what to do with terms like
12:23 love and compassion because it is not
12:25 part of their vocabulary or modus
12:27 operandi so they will create their own
12:29 false religion that will omit those
12:32 attributes that are a main part of who
12:35 God is their demand for perfection in
12:37 performance is actually a sin of their
12:40 own idolatry of human beings believe it
12:42 or not a narcissist commits the sin of
12:44 idolatry when they demand Perfection of
12:46 people because they're basically
12:48 demanding people to be a perfect version
12:51 of God rather than extend the grace for
12:53 them to be human beings which God
12:56 created them to be number three a third
12:59 way that a religious narcissist aggress
13:02 ly pursues narcissistic Supply is to
13:04 replace God in your life instead of
13:07 representing God so they are forcing you
13:08 to idolize them and to put your
13:11 relationship with them above your
13:13 relationship with God and that is
13:16 idolatry and that gives them an excuse
13:18 to oppress you to silence you and become
13:21 tyrannical with you in a way like
13:23 Pharaoh oppressed the Israelites and
13:26 became tyrannical and abusive with them
13:28 and kept them in bondage a fourth way
13:30 that a religious narcissist pursues
13:33 narcissistic Supply aggressively is to
13:35 have double standards a set of standards
13:38 for you and a set of standards for them
13:40 they will expect that you are required
13:43 by God to forgive them 70 time seven
13:46 times and will be preoccupied with your
13:49 need to forgive them but they will give
13:51 no thought to their need to repent to
13:53 confess their sins to Humble themselves
13:55 and turn from their Wicked Ways in order
13:58 to be healed they pay no attention to
13:59 their part in it
14:02 or they may be up in arms if you cross
14:05 them if you slight them in any way there
14:07 will be held to pay if you cross a
14:09 narcissist but if you are hurt or
14:12 offended with them well they pay
14:14 absolutely no attention to the scripture
14:16 that says therefore if you are offering
14:18 your gift at the altar and there
14:20 remember that your brother or sister has
14:23 something against you leave your gift
14:25 there in front of the altar first go and
14:28 be reconciled to them and then come
14:29 offer your gift
14:31 so God is not fooled by these wolves and
14:33 sheep's clothing he actually addresses
14:36 such people in the Old Testament and the
14:38 new and there's a passage of scripture
14:40 that addresses this kind of spiritual
14:43 abuse really well in Ezekiel 34 I'll
14:44 share it with you in the voice
14:46 translation just to give it a bit of a
14:49 fresh sound and so these are the people
14:52 God calls false Shepherds woe to the
14:54 Shepherds of Israel whose only concern
14:57 is to protect and nourish themselves
14:59 isn't a shepherd's job to look look
15:01 after the Sheep yet you exploit them in
15:04 every way you devour their fat make soft
15:07 clothes and blankets out of their wool
15:08 and Slaughter the best sheep for your
15:11 table meanwhile you don't take care of
15:14 the sheep at all you have not sought to
15:16 nurse the weak you have not gone out to
15:18 tend to the sick you have not bandaged
15:20 the injured you don't bring back the
15:23 Strays or look for the lost you have led
15:25 them with neglect ruled them with
15:27 harshness shephered them with cruelty
15:30 they had no real Shepherd so they have
15:32 scattered the entire flock was prey for
15:35 wild beasts my sheep drifted aimlessly
15:37 through all the mountains and up and
15:40 down every Hill my flock was scattered
15:42 all over the world scattered like stars
15:44 in the night sky and not a single
15:46 Shepherd went looking for them God
15:48 condemns the shepherd rulers of Israel
15:50 for neglecting their duties and
15:52 exploiting their human flock heaven will
15:55 not remain silent at this Injustice A
15:57 change is coming now pay attention
15:59 Shepherds to my word
16:02 as surely as I the Eternal Lord live
16:04 because my sheep are without a Shepherd
16:06 because they have become prey for all
16:08 the wild beasts to feed upon because my
16:10 Shepherds have not gone in search of my
16:12 sheep but have only looked out for
16:14 themselves and not watched after and
16:16 cared for my flock I encourage you
16:18 Shepherds listen to the word of the
16:21 Eternal those self-centered shepherds
16:24 are my enemies as far as I'm concerned
16:26 they are no longer Shepherds they will
16:28 not help themselves to my sheep any
16:30 longer I will recover my flock from
16:33 these corrupt Shepherds I will snatch my
16:35 sheep from their mouths my sheep will no
16:37 longer provide milk clothing or meat to
16:40 them I will personally go out searching
16:42 for my sheep I will find them wherever
16:44 they are and I will look after them in
16:46 the same way one Shepherd seeks after
16:49 cares for and watches over his scattered
16:51 flock so will I be the guardian of my
16:54 sheep I will be their rescuer no matter
16:55 where they have scattered I will go to
16:57 find them I will bring them back from
16:58 the places where they are scatter
17:01 scattered on that dark and cloudy day I
17:03 will call them out from the Nations
17:04 gather them from the countries and bring
17:07 them into their own land I will feed
17:08 them in the high mountain pastures and
17:11 Meadows of Israel I will feed them on
17:13 good pastures they will graze on the
17:15 mountain Heights of Israel they will lie
17:17 down to rest on this good ground and
17:19 they will feed on succulent grasses and
17:21 bountiful pastures on the slopes of
17:24 Israel's Sanctuary mountains I myself
17:26 will watch over my sheep and feed my
17:28 flock whenever they are tired I will
17:30 leave lead them to rest on the cool
17:32 Mountain grass when they are lost I will
17:34 seek them and bring back every last
17:36 stray I will bind up the injured and
17:38 strengthen the weak however I will
17:40 destroy the fat and Powerful I will feed
17:43 them a healthy portion of judgment by
17:45 narcissists professing to be Christians
17:47 and twisting and omitting scriptures to
17:48 create doctrines to feed their
17:51 narcissism and divorcing their actions
17:53 from their words and creating double
17:55 standards for themselves and others
17:57 they're actually creating a new religion
18:00 it is their cult religion and not
18:02 Christianity it is an Insidious way to
18:04 intercept your relationship with Jesus
18:07 Christ and force you to worship them
18:09 instead and elevate your relationship
18:11 with them over your relationship with
18:13 God so if you are part of a church or
18:15 spiritual community be like a good
18:17 Berean and search out the scriptures by
18:20 the Holy Spirit check and see what
18:21 religion you are following whether you
18:23 are following the doctrines of Jesus
18:26 Christ or if you are being taken off
18:29 track to follow the doctrines of demons
18:33 2 Corinthians 13:5 says examine yourself
18:35 to see whether you are in the faith test
18:37 yourselves do you not realize that
18:39 Christ Jesus is in you unless of course
18:42 you fail the test Jesus said about the
18:44 narcissist of his day leave them they
18:46 are blind guides if the blind lead the
18:49 blind both will fall into the pit so I
