0:02 America
0:04 was built off of the success of
0:08 immigrants and we are so diverse. I want
0:10 to live in a world where the legal
0:12 profession actually looks like the
0:15 demographics of this country. And that's
0:17 why I created Legal Migala Law. My name
0:19 is Taylor Teeman. My firm is Legal
0:22 Migala Law PC. We're located in Los
0:24 Angeles, California. And I became a Cleo
0:28 customer in 2020. The current Latino
0:30 population in the United States is
0:34 around 19% but only 5% of attorneys in
0:36 the US are Latino and around 2 to 3% of
0:39 us are Latina. That creates a lot of
0:41 problems. Clients don't feel like they
0:43 can trust attorneys that maybe don't
0:45 look like them, don't understand where
0:47 they're coming from. Our clients are
0:50 firstgen business owners. They are
0:52 Latina and Latino business owners,
0:54 mostly femaleowned businesses.
0:57 traditional law may not see them, may
0:58 not be marketing to them. They are
1:00 clients that feel comfortable coming to
1:03 us because of how we exist. Oftentimes,
1:06 the reason a client can't work with us
1:08 is just price, which is why I created
1:10 the Legal Omega Library. an educational
1:13 platform for business owners to find
1:16 contract templates, workshops, really
1:19 get them access to a more affordable way
1:22 to legally protect their businesses as
1:23 they're working toward being able to
1:26 afford a lawyer. I know we need more
1:28 diverse voices in the legal profession
1:32 and by both hiring law clerks each cycle
1:34 and we also are part of a local
1:37 mentorship program where it is a
1:39 pipeline for underserved college
1:40 students to help them get into law
1:45 school. The program serves a community
1:48 where they may not have access to elsat
1:50 tutors. They may not have anybody in
1:52 their family who's gone to law school.
1:54 So, they're really getting a full
1:56 package. I know that's changing their
1:58 lives. Everybody deserves great legal
2:01 protection, but when you're a community
2:03 that historically has not had access to
