0:02 in this video I'm going to outline the
0:05 Practical methods you can use to raise
0:07 your IQ I've personally used these
0:10 methods to raise my own IQ from 100
0:14 points up to 153 points that's an
0:17 increase of over 50 points granted I did
0:20 that in about 30 years but I believe it
0:23 could be done in a year or two had I
0:25 known the methods you can use when I was
0:27 young it was believed that IQ was fixed
0:30 and you couldn't increase it at all well
0:32 I'm here to tell you that it's not only
0:34 very possible to raise your IQ but it's
0:37 actually very doable and straightforward
0:40 if you follow these methods firstly I'd
0:41 like to start with saying what you
0:43 should not do or what you should stop
0:45 doing if you want to raise your
0:48 intelligence level let's talk about this
0:50 idea of drugs being able to increase
0:52 your intelligence it seems like the
0:55 Western culture is deeply steeped in the
0:57 idea that drugs and medicines can not
0:59 only solve your problems but can help
1:02 increase and enhance your abilities such as
1:03 as
1:05 intelligence and I think Hollywood is
1:08 partly responsible for this it's amazing
1:11 how many movies that deal with increased
1:12 awareness higher intelligence higher
1:16 abilities are fundamentally associated
1:18 with taking a drug I'll give you a few
1:21 examples in the film Limitless starring
1:24 Bradley Cooper the hero is sort of
1:26 average intelligence or maybe he's a bit
1:28 brighter than average but he's a
1:30 bumbling loser and and he's got no
1:33 energy no ideas and then he takes this
1:37 drug nzt and overnight he becomes a
1:39 genius who can think clearly solve
1:41 problems and think his way to the top of
1:43 Life all because of this
1:46 drug and you've got the movie Lucy
1:48 although quite a silly movie it does
1:51 have some very good ideas and does deal
1:53 with this idea of raising your
1:57 intelligence to Greater Heights and the
1:59 heroine played by Scarlet Johansson
2:02 starts off as just an ordinary level
2:04 student then she takes this he ends up
2:06 with this drug inside her which takes
2:08 her progressively up to like a god level
2:10 intelligence and although it's
2:12 exaggerated and much more about
2:13 entertainment rather than to be taken too
2:14 too
2:17 seriously again the ideas there that a
2:20 drug will raise your abilities and raise
2:23 your intelligence even in the film The
2:25 Matrix there's this idea of a red pill
2:28 and a blue pill one of them takes you to
2:30 higher awareness and higher abilities
2:32 and the other one basically keeps you
2:34 asleep and I know it's supposed to be
2:37 symbolic but it's still deeply planting
2:39 the idea that it's only a question of
2:42 which drug you take as to whether you go
2:45 up or down in abilities or intelligence
2:47 the question is is there any is there
2:50 any truth to this can drugs raise your
2:53 abilities and raise your intelligence
2:55 I've heard various people talk about how
2:58 drugs like amphetamines and psychedelics
3:00 can raise ability
3:02 like um amphetamines can speed people's
3:05 minds up make them think clearly or more
3:07 or certainly faster and people have' taken
3:08 taken
3:11 psychedelics they tend to be able to see
3:14 the world in a different way and they
3:16 come up with unique and Brilliant ideas
3:19 but I think it's also strongly apparent
3:21 that people who do use those drugs
3:24 eventually become dependent on them and
3:27 their minds end up duller than they were
3:28 prior to taking the
3:30 drugs I've also o been told by people
3:33 who smoke cannabis that the drug enables
3:36 them to focus more clearly and think
3:38 more clearly a friend of mine and I used
3:40 to play chess quite regularly and
3:42 because I was naturally better at the
3:45 game I won most of the time but when my
3:49 friend started to smoke cannabis whilst
3:51 we were playing chess it was quite
3:54 noticeable just how much better at the
3:56 game he became and he claimed it was
3:58 because he could just think more clearly
4:00 he could concentrate he could focus over
4:02 time he was winning as many games as he
4:05 was as as he was losing because he was
4:08 smoking the Cannabis but one thing we
4:09 also noticed is that when he wasn't
4:13 smoking it he was even worse then so
4:15 although it may have been giving him a
4:17 temporary boost in an ability to
4:19 concentrate it seemed to be it was
4:21 reducing his overall level and ability to
4:22 to
4:24 concentrate this principle also seems to
4:26 hold true for legalized drugs like
4:29 caffeine people drink caffeine in the
4:31 form of usually coffee or energy drinks
4:33 and it gives them a temporary boost
4:36 makes them feel sharper more aware more
4:39 alert but it also seems to be they get
4:41 into a habit of doing this and then they
4:46 end up needing the caffeine just to stop
4:49 themselves from feeling doy or sleepy so
4:51 they start off at an ordinary level then
4:52 they start using the caffeine to take
4:54 them to a high level which becomes less
4:58 effective the basic energy level or
5:00 awareness level seems to drop and then
5:03 they need the drug just to feel ordinary
5:05 so my suggestion is why not just stop
5:08 caffeine completely stay at the ordinary
5:10 level and find another way to increase
5:13 your intelligence or awareness or
5:16 awakeness one very big thing you can do
5:19 to increase your intelligence is to stop
5:23 wasting your time your free time on
5:25 activities of the same intelligence
5:28 level as the rest of your life now many
5:29 parts of our life we you just can't
5:32 control the intelligence level such as
5:34 the job we do it requires a certain
5:36 intelligence level and that's that you
5:38 have to be at that intelligence level to
5:41 do and perform the job also when you're
5:43 out with friends socializing there's a
5:45 certain intelligence level required and
5:47 you can't really go above or below it
5:50 and stay in harmony with your friends so
5:51 that leaves just the free time you have
5:55 to yourself but what sense to happen is
5:57 we're on one intelligence level with our
5:59 job one intelligence level with our
6:01 friends and we tend to keep on exactly
6:03 the same intelligence level when it
6:05 comes to our free time and our
6:07 entertainment I have a bad habit
6:09 sometimes of just scrolling through
6:11 endless Tik toks or YouTube shorts
6:13 because it's addictive and I have
6:15 noticed that it tends to be on exactly
6:17 the same intelligence level as the rest
6:20 of my life that's actually quite
6:22 precious time so if you cut out that
6:24 habit it could it's not necessarily
6:27 mindless entertainment but entertainment
6:29 and distraction that's on exactly the
6:30 same intelligence level as the rest of
6:34 your life and seek out activities on a
6:36 higher intelligence level that's going
6:39 to help raise the raise the average of
6:41 your life because in a lot of
6:44 intelligence is actually a habit and
6:47 that's set by the average of your life
6:50 so you've only got a certain amount of
6:53 free time to yourself and that's the
6:55 precious time that you can control I'd
6:57 say it's more important than ever to use
7:00 that precious time to do or least think
7:02 in terms of raising your intelligence
7:04 level rather than staying on the same
7:06 intelligence level as the rest of your
7:10 life intelligence tests puzzle games
7:13 crosswords do these help increase your
7:16 intelligence well unfortunately there's
7:19 no evidence for it these activities can
7:21 be stimulating and they can make you
7:23 feel intelligent while you're doing them
7:25 but unfortunately there's just no
7:27 evidence whatsoever that they actually
7:29 increase your intelligence level they
7:31 just use what intelligence you already
7:33 have and if you're working off the
7:35 principle use it or lose it it can
7:38 certainly help maintain and maybe stop a
7:40 mental decline but I don't think you
7:42 should believe because there's no reason
7:44 to that they actually increase the
7:47 intelligence you have so if you're using
7:49 those things to increase your
7:51 intelligence I would say you're better
7:54 off spending your time doing something
7:59 else can affirmations raise your IQ in
8:01 neurolinguistic programming there's this
8:03 principle of a triangle where the three
8:07 corners are spoken words feelings and
8:10 actions and the idea is that whenever
8:13 you increase one of those three you
8:16 automatically increase the other two so
8:18 if you were to apply this to
8:20 intelligence you would start off with
8:22 the spoken words which would be the
8:24 affirmations and you could start off by
8:27 saying I'm a highly intelligent person
8:30 or I'm getting smarter and smarter every
8:33 day and these have to be spoken out loud
8:34 if you want your mind to really get
8:37 behind them not just thinking them the
8:39 idea is you say these out loud over and
8:41 over again and because you're increasing
8:43 that point of the triangle the spoken
8:46 words you end up feeling more
8:48 intelligent and you naturally gravitate
8:50 to more intelligent actions and when you
8:52 start performing more intelligent
8:55 actions you feel more
8:58 intelligent and you end up saying it
8:59 more you end up speaking speaking more
9:01 confidently and more
9:04 intelligently and it forms kind of a
9:06 cycle you increase one you increase the
9:09 others now I said before that just um
9:11 actions intelligent actions like doing
9:15 puzzles or crossword puzzles a have no
9:18 actual effect by themselves when it
9:20 comes to increasing your intelligence
9:23 but used in conjunction with
9:26 affirmations and if this triangle holds
9:28 true then yes they could be very
9:30 effective how effective they are in
9:32 practice though I couldn't say studies
9:34 would have to be done and you would have
9:36 to document it very very carefully and
9:38 observe very very carefully to see
9:41 whether it actually does raise your
9:44 intelligence can meditation and deep
9:48 breathing raise your IQ now I'm a fan of
9:50 meditation and deep breathing but I
9:53 would say strictly speaking no they
9:55 those activities do not raise your
9:58 intelligence level it stands to reason
10:00 if you're a nervous anxious or highly
10:02 stressed person you're not going to be
10:04 able to concentrate you're not going to
10:06 be able to focus nearly as well on
10:09 activities that require intelligence
10:13 compared to when you're calm and relaxed
10:15 So to that degree I would say meditation
10:17 and deep breathing are a definite
10:19 benefit because if they calm you down
10:21 and they make you feel your best you are
10:23 going to perform better when it comes to
10:26 something like an IQ test that's the
10:30 reason I've included them on this list
10:32 next we're going to move on to actions
10:35 that significantly raise your IQ
10:38 starting with the one that's most often
10:41 overlooked and that is getting your body
10:44 into great physical
10:46 condition in the western culture in
10:48 particular there's been this myth that's
10:52 been going on for decades about the two
10:55 Polar Opposites of Highly physical but
10:59 also very stupid jocks and highly
11:01 intelligent but complete weakling
11:03 nerds but if we look back to the the
11:06 Renaissance period it was well
11:08 understood that intellectual development
11:12 and physical development go hand
11:15 inand one of the best things you can do
11:16 to actually raise your intelligence
11:19 level is to get your body into great
11:22 physical condition why well believe it
11:25 or not your body has a great pull down
11:27 on your mind if your body is in bad
11:30 condition your mind is forced to put
11:32 attention on it so if your body's in
11:35 pain if your body is weak and feeling
11:37 threatened by the environment if your
11:39 body's tired out of shape doesn't
11:42 deliver enough oxygen to the brain all
11:44 of these are going to have a negative
11:47 pull down effect on the mind so it's
11:49 utterly vital to have the body in great
11:51 physical condition the next thing of
11:53 course you have to understand is what
11:55 constitutes a body being in great
11:56 physical condition and there are
11:59 actually three key components to this
12:01 this the first one and the most obvious
12:04 one is cardiovascular fitness fitter
12:06 your body is the less tired it's going
12:08 to be the more it's going to be able to
12:11 deliver oxygen to the brain and it's
12:13 just going to function better and your
12:15 mind is not going to have to think at
12:17 all about the exertion of your
12:21 body the next one not so obvious is
12:23 muscular strength and muscular
12:26 development now you might think how is
12:29 this going to affect IQ and intelligent
12:32 well if your body is physically weak
12:35 whether you like it or not it's going to
12:37 feel adversely affected by the
12:40 environment even if it's only in small
12:41 things like just moving the body around
12:44 going up and down stairs getting it up
12:45 and down from
12:48 chairs and on a much deeper level
12:50 because we are Bas humans are basically
12:53 animals in an environment a physically
12:57 weak body is going to feel threatened by
12:59 the environment so some of your mental
13:02 attention is actually on your body if
13:04 it's weak Because deep deep down there's
13:06 a survival Instinct you know your body
13:09 needs to be strong to survive so if your
13:11 body is physically feeble it's going to
13:13 feel threatened so some of your mental
13:16 attention has to stay on your
13:20 body the third component is
13:24 flexibility when your body is tense and
13:27 stiff it's because of pain and tension
13:29 that's locked in the body
13:31 and the only way to get rid of that pain
13:32 maybe not the only way but one of the
13:35 ways the key way to get rid of this
13:37 tension this uh locked in pain in the
13:40 body it's by stretching by doing
13:43 stretching exercises you unburden the
13:46 body of these tensions and your mind
13:48 does not have to fixate or focus on the
13:52 body one of the reasons intelligence can
13:54 drop in people as they get older is more
13:56 and more of their mental attention is
13:59 going on their physical body so by
14:01 getting your body into great physical
14:03 condition of Fitness strength and
14:06 flexibility your mind becomes much more
14:09 freed up and able to concentrate on
14:10 higher intelligence
14:12 activities staying on the subject of the
14:15 body another highly effective method you
14:18 can employ to raise your intelligence is
14:20 a full body
14:24 detox there are detox programs that are
14:27 designed to get rid of all the poisons
14:29 and toxins that get St in the fatty
14:33 tissues of your body and one very
14:35 effective method that I know of is by
14:38 going into a SAA and physically sweating
14:40 these toxins out now there are programs
14:44 you can find exact detox programs that
14:47 will completely Purge your body of all
14:49 the chemicals that they've absorbed over
14:53 time and these have actually a profound
14:55 effect on your ability to think clearly and
14:57 and
15:00 concentrate I personally L whilst doing
15:04 a SAA sweat program raised my IQ 11
15:07 points in just 3 weeks that is how
15:10 powerful a sweat detox program is for
15:11 raising your
15:14 intelligence one of the most powerful
15:16 activities you can engage in to raise
15:19 your IQ believe it or not is outdoor
15:22 walking yes I know as simple as that you
15:24 might think okay this is just a repeat
15:27 of the earlier method of physical
15:29 exercise no
15:31 that's not the point here the point is
15:34 not physical activity the point here is
15:37 being outside in a larger
15:40 space you might be frowning at this
15:41 point and thinking what the hell has
15:45 that got to do with intelligence well
15:47 quite a lot actually because the mind
15:50 actually thinks spatially it thinks in
15:53 terms of spaces and objects in those
15:56 spaces a few hundred years ago people
15:59 lived much more outdoor lives
16:01 where they were outside in large open
16:03 spaces and this was actually very very
16:04 good for their
16:08 minds these days we live in very very
16:11 small confined spaces because we went
16:13 from working on farms mostly Outdoors
16:16 then into factories which were large
16:19 indoor spaces then we went to smaller
16:22 indoor spaces like offices and then to
16:25 office cubicles even smaller spaces and
16:27 if you look at even our entertainment we
16:30 started off with with live theater in an
16:33 open space then indoor theater in a smaller
16:34 smaller
16:37 space and then flat Cinema screens which
16:40 are still quite large to smaller TV
16:43 screens smaller space computer monitors
16:47 smaller space again to smartphones even
16:50 smaller space smaller distance away from
16:53 the eyes what this has led to is a
16:57 shrinking mindset a mind that's full of
17:00 memories of conf find spaces leading to
17:03 very small confined space thinking this
17:05 is actually very very bad for the mind
17:08 and bad for mental health the antidote
17:12 to this is going outside and walking in
17:14 large Open Spaces the best way to do
17:16 this is to form a daily habit of
17:19 actually going outside doesn't have to
17:21 be for a long time but and actually
17:23 looking at the space around you at
17:27 distant objects and expanding your space
17:30 mentally this is more effective if you
17:32 go out walking by yourself because if
17:34 you're with someone else you tend to put
17:37 your attention on that person who's only
17:39 small distance away and again you're
17:41 back to the small space problem that's
17:43 the important thing here your attention
17:45 has to go outwards onto the space it has
17:48 to extrovert your attention don't listen
17:50 to music while you're walking listen to
17:52 the environment around you don't look at
17:55 your phone when you're walking cuz that
17:57 completely defeats the point put your
17:58 attention on the world around around you
18:01 onto the larger Opening space around you
18:04 if you get into the habit of doing this
18:06 on a daily basis and make it a
18:09 disciplined activity you'll be amazed at
18:10 the effects it has on your mind it
18:14 really will literally open your mind and
18:16 enlarge your thinking space and you'll
18:18 not only think a lot more clearly and
18:20 you will be brighter you will feel a lot
18:22 better this is a process that really
18:25 should not be overlooked it can be a
18:29 real life Cher If done regularly
18:32 one of the quickest and easiest ways to
18:35 raise your intelligence is to tidy your
18:39 mind so how do you tidy your mind well
18:40 it's actually a lot simpler than you
18:42 might think you start with your
18:44 immediate environment which is usually
18:48 the room you live in you tidy it up so
18:51 you think how is that tidying my mind
18:54 well what you might not be aware of is
18:57 your mind is basically a problem solver
19:00 and it perceiv Peres a disordered
19:02 environment as basically a list of
19:04 problems that need solving whether you
19:06 like it or not your mind is designed to
19:09 solve problems and put order into into
19:12 chaos so if you live in chaos your mind
19:15 constantly thinks it's living in a sea
19:16 of problems that
19:19 need that need solving so your mental
19:21 attention is going on your environment
19:23 all the time whether you like it or not
19:25 now you might choose to ignore this and
19:27 then wonder why you feel uneasy or tired
19:30 or late e or demotivated it's because
19:33 your mind is not freed up you can't
19:35 focus your mind on anything more when
19:38 you're in an in a disordered environment
19:40 so the very first thing you really need
19:42 to do is to put order into your
19:45 surroundings by tidying your room and if
19:47 you do this you will immediately start
19:49 to feel better your mind will feel
19:51 lighter and you will have more attention
19:53 freed up and when you've completely
19:55 tidied your surroundings you'll feel
19:57 restored you'll feel much calmer much
20:00 brighter on this subject you take the
20:03 idea of the Japanese dojo in which
20:05 martial arts were done and the idea was
20:08 a space as empty as possible the dojo
20:11 should just have the bare minimum of
20:12 what's needed to perform the martial
20:15 arts activities with no distractions
20:19 whatsoever so the mind is completely
20:21 focused on the task at hand in other
20:24 words a completely controlled ordered
20:27 tidy environment so the more tidy your
20:31 room is the less your mind will be
20:33 unconsciously distracted by all the
20:37 problems it perceives as need solving so
20:39 minimalism is another big Point here if
20:42 you minimalize your surroundings you may
20:44 notice the room around me I don't have
20:46 pictures on the walls because I know
20:48 they actually distract the mind even if
20:50 you don't consciously look at that
20:54 picture every day your mind is actually
20:57 registering it and it's going in there
20:59 every object everything in your
21:00 environment is triggering something in
21:02 your mind constantly it's stimulating
21:04 your mind and really you want your mind
21:07 free to focus on what you want it to do
21:10 not what it's triggered to do so the
21:12 tidier your room and the more minimal
21:15 your room is the better it is for your
21:18 intelligence lastly we come to the
21:21 biggest and what I believe is the most
21:23 important method that you can employ to
21:26 raise your intelligence and that is
21:29 reading and don't mean just reading as
21:31 many high quality books as possible I
21:34 mean reading with complete comprehension
21:38 of every single word that you read that
21:40 means being able to provide a complete
21:42 and precise definition for every word
21:45 you read now you might think that kind
21:48 of level of meticulous study is not only
21:50 unnecessary for most people it's
21:52 actually a waste of time but that would
21:55 be a hugely mistaken notion because
21:58 every word you read goes into into your
22:00 mind and if those words are not
22:02 understood part of your mental attention
22:05 remains fixed on those words and this
22:08 has been going on since your early ABCs
22:11 when you started to learn how to read
22:13 every word you've ever passed if you do
22:18 not have a full clear definition precise
22:20 definition of the meaning of that word
22:23 then part of your mental attention stays
22:26 fixed on it and as you grow through time
22:29 as you grow older the more words you
22:31 passed that you don't understand your
22:34 level uh your ability to learn drops
22:37 your interest in in reading and learning
22:39 drops as well and can drop to the point
22:41 where you're just no longer interested
22:42 in Reading no longer interested in
22:45 learning and at that point all
22:47 developments going to stop so it's
22:50 vitally important for you to not go past
22:53 words you don't understand so the best
22:55 thing to do would be to start with
22:56 reading material that you're pretty
22:59 comfortable with and make sure every
23:00 time you come across a word that you're
23:02 not fully sure of the meaning maybe
23:04 you've got a hazy definition or maybe no
23:06 definition or maybe an incorrect
23:08 definition of that word you should
23:10 Google it or look it up in the
23:12 dictionary and make sure you do
23:14 understand it before you go forward and
23:16 then you can progress to higher and
23:18 higher level literature if you think
23:20 this is not important and you just carry
23:22 on just absorbing as much reading
23:24 material as possible ignoring words you
23:27 don't fully understand ah it doesn't
23:30 matter you can actually study yourself
23:32 Dumber you can actually make yourself
23:34 less intelligent because more and more
23:37 of your precious mental attention is
23:39 getting stuck on Words that it doesn't
23:42 understand your mind you may think as a
23:43 personality I don't care about those
23:46 word your mind certainly does it works
23:48 like a computer and if there's too much
23:51 running that it doesn't understand it
23:53 just it clogs up it clogs up your
23:57 thinking power so i' strongly recommend
23:59 you you get into the habit of every time
24:01 you come across a word you don't
24:04 understand look it up get a precise
24:07 definition for it before you go forward
24:08 and if you get into the discipline of
24:11 doing this you will become brighter and
24:13 more alert and you'll feel better and
24:15 you will become more intelligent no
24:18 question this is not to be overlooked
24:21 it's not to be underestimated it is
24:24 extremely powerful and I would strongly
24:26 strongly recommend you get into the
24:29 habit of doing this finally I'm going to
24:31 end this list with a method to improve
24:33 your intelligence there more of a fun
24:35 bonus one this it's it's actually a
24:38 method for making you able to think more
24:40 quickly and it's the simple action of
24:44 watching YouTube videos at Double speed
24:45 now you may not be able to handle double
24:48 speed at first but if you look on the
24:50 speed settings of any YouTube video you
24:56 can set it to 1.25 1.5 1.75 or 2.0 speed
24:58 you can watch the videos at a much
25:01 faster rate and the funny thing happens
25:03 when you start doing this is at first it
25:06 seems too fast but very very quickly
25:09 your mind speeds up and it gets used to
25:12 it and then that becomes normal and
25:13 after you've been watching videos at
25:16 twice the speed for a short even a short
25:18 time when you try and go back to normal
25:20 speed it seems incredibly slow because
25:22 what's actually happened is your mind
25:24 has speed it up this is a very very
25:26 simple thing you can do the videos don't
25:29 have to be High stimulating they can be
25:31 anything but if you watch them at higher
25:33 speed your mind will speed up to match
25:36 them and you will become brighter one
25:38 practical application to this obviously
25:41 is the IQ test IQ tests are against time
25:43 so if your mind is working more quickly
25:45 you will get through the questions more
25:47 quickly and you will score higher on the IQ
