0:12 ever made for Disney Fine Art it's
0:14 called Walts of the Fab Five and it
0:16 features all the characters as
0:19 nutcrackers but what I want to show
0:27 here all right so recently I did a video
0:29 on the brand new Wakka moving tablet
0:31 which I'm showing here and at the time I
0:32 kind of commented that one of my biggest
0:34 gripes with Wacom over the years has
0:37 been kind of just the real inability to
0:40 to kind of make the Palm rejection work
0:41 they kind of make some progress on it
0:44 but it always seemed to be a problem so
0:45 I've got a little bit of an update on
0:48 that so I used to use a glove like this
0:49 one right here and this is just a
0:52 standard huon glove that you can find
0:54 all over Amazon um I think I paid 10
0:57 bucks for it and I I used to think that
0:59 a glove like this was going to kind of
1:02 stop that because it was going to break
1:03 that sort of electrical interaction
1:05 between your hand and the surface of the
1:07 tablet it turns out that's not true you
1:09 can have a glove like that and still
1:11 have that happening and so I always
1:13 would blame that on the tablet and that
1:15 there was just no you know solution that
1:18 was going to work however I came across
1:20 this glove recently and it's from a
1:22 company called animon or or animon if
1:25 you're Italian like me and uh what it's
1:27 got is a little bit something different
1:30 here it's it has like a some reinforced
1:32 stitching and padding at the very bottom
1:34 down where your pinky would go if you
1:36 can see that here and what that padding
1:40 does is it's a does a really good job of
1:41 separating your hand from the surface
1:43 and stopping that sort of you know
1:46 electrical connection between the two so
1:48 here I've got that uh Wakka moving
1:50 tablet and I'm going to first uh turn
1:52 touch on so I come over here to the menu
1:54 turn touch on and as I mentioned before
1:56 you know inverting you know marks with
1:58 your finger just like that with my pinky
2:00 uh will cause a mark there so I'm going
2:04 to put on this huon um glove first and
2:07 I've got it on there and you can see as
2:09 I do it I can get those marks to happen
2:11 just by touching it and now let's try
2:15 this new animon glove with the extra
2:17 padding on the bottom I wish they had
2:19 some larger sizes this is sort of a one
2:21 siiz fits all but I wish it was not as
2:24 snug and if I just kind of rub my hand
2:27 over like this you can see there's no
2:28 there's no marking happening the only
2:30 marks are going to happen with the pen
2:33 surface I cannot get it to happen with
2:36 any part of this padded area now they do
2:37 make a point of saying that the
2:39 fingertips here have this sort of
2:41 capacitive touch support so basically
2:43 there's no padding here on the end so if
2:45 you were to kind of touch on the end
2:47 with it there we go you might get some
2:49 marks like that but that's intentional
2:51 in case you wanted to just use your
2:53 finger to you know activate some of the
2:55 the on screen menus or something like
2:56 that so I'm doing all that and trying
2:58 one more time and you can see I cannot
3:01 get any any marks happening down
3:04 where where my palm is which is great so
3:06 now I can draw like this with my left
3:07 hand and use the pinch and zoom and
3:10 rotate features and not worry so much
3:12 about getting those marks and like I
3:14 said I'll link to it below but basically
3:17 you're looking for a glove that has this
3:20 reinforced uh padding and stitching that
3:22 runs the whole length of of your palm
3:24 down to your your pinky finger and
3:25 something else I wanted to briefly
3:27 mention that I didn't talk about before
3:29 was that this tablet will support the
3:31 express key remote that that Wacom cells
3:32 and and that works by way of a little
3:34 USB dongle that plugs into the back of
3:36 your computer and I have it plugged into
3:38 the um the back of the Mac Mini here so
3:40 here I've just programmed one of the
3:42 buttons to invert uh in Photoshop and
3:45 you can see it's working great so that's
3:46 great if you have a scenario where
3:47 you're on the go and you want to have
3:49 some additional you know support for
3:52 Express keys but not want to carry
3:54 around a a full-size keyboard or you
3:56 know just want to have the tablet and
3:58 the remote and nothing else sitting out
3:59 on your desktop all right so it wrap
4:02 this up yes you can apparently get some
4:03 really good Palm rejection with a Wacom
4:06 Tabet if you use a glove that has the
4:07 extra padding and stitching underneath
4:09 it and not just the generic one uh that
4:11 you might find in a search on Amazon in
4:13 fact some of these gloves come in around
4:14 the same price so the one I bought I
4:17 think was a two pack for $10 which was
4:19 right up there where the the huon was
4:21 like maybe 7 or 8 and so for an extra
4:23 dollar or two more you get an extra
4:25 glove and the ability to have good Palm
4:26 rejection but I like to know what your
4:28 experiences are so if you found some
4:29 particular glove or system that works
4:30 even better please let me know in the
