0:03 i said it's the story of a rich man
0:06 who had a huge art gallery
0:08 and he had a terrific son
0:11 and the son would go into the streets
0:14 and one day he befriended a beggar
0:16 and he started to see this beggar
0:18 regularly and he'd describe his father's
0:19 big home
0:21 and the paintings and all that his
0:24 father did in business and his family
0:26 and the beggar really liked this young man
0:27 man
0:29 but one day the young man stopped coming
0:31 two days three days and the beggar found
0:35 out he had very suddenly died
0:37 so he went and got himself some paper
0:42 and some crayons and he drew a portrait
0:44 of that young man and he went to that
0:46 home of the rich man and gave it to the
0:48 watchmen outside and said would you
0:51 please give it to the man because his
0:53 son was very good to me
0:55 and i've drawn his portrait because i
0:57 hear he has an art gallery in that house
0:59 the watchman looked at it rather bemused
1:01 by it and said all right okay okay and
1:03 send him away but he thought this was
1:05 quite a gesture
1:07 so he waited for the right moment when
1:08 the rich man was driving out in his car
1:10 one day he said to him you know
1:12 a beggar came here
1:15 and gave this because he painted this as
1:18 a portrait of your son the rich man took it
1:19 it
1:20 nothing was hurt
1:22 some years go by and the beggar finds
1:24 out the rich man had passed away and
1:25 that they were going to auction his art gallery
1:27 gallery
1:29 so he decided to get some nice looking
1:30 clothes to see if he could squeeze in he did
1:32 did
1:33 and he walked through the hall to see if
1:35 the boy's portrait was hanging with all
1:37 the grandmasters and sure enough it was there
1:38 there
1:40 and the auctioneer came and all these
1:42 aficionados with their wonderful little
1:44 lenses and all studying all of this stuff
1:46 stuff
1:48 and then the gavel was pounded and the
1:50 auctioneer said we are going to begin
1:52 and everybody yeah yeah good good
1:55 he said except there was a condition
1:57 left in the will
1:59 the rich man said this portrait of his
2:01 son is the first one to be auctioned
2:04 and there was a moan underground
2:06 nobody bid on it
2:08 the beggar put his hand into his pocket
2:11 got a few coins and bid what he had
2:15 no no counter offer gavel pounded sold
2:17 he goes to pick it up and as he's
2:19 walking away the gavel pounds again
2:20 and the auctioneer says there was a
2:22 second condition
2:24 in the will it said whoever bids on the
2:26 portrait of the sun gets the whole art gallery
2:39 so i said to them
2:41 ladies and gentlemen
2:44 when you get the sun
2:46 you get all of the components of meaning
2:48 in life [Applause]
