0:01 Welcome back everyone. Today we're going
0:03 to be discussing five new features that
0:05 are being added to the Peterson Academy
0:07 in the near future, kind of towards the
0:11 end of 2025 and rolling into 2026. This
0:13 list was announced about about a week
0:15 ago. I think it came out the day that I
0:18 released my one year of Peterson Academy
0:19 video, which kind of sucks. I would have
0:20 liked to have covered this in that
0:22 video, but to be fair, that video was
0:24 long enough. So today we're going to be
0:26 talking about the five new features that
0:28 the Peterson Academy has announced. They
0:31 are rolling out in short order here. So
0:32 I'm very excited to talk about these
0:34 features today. A lot of them I've been
0:36 waiting a long time for. But um but
0:37 yeah, if you guys like this video, don't
0:39 forget to like, subscribe, share with
0:40 your friends to help boost this channel
0:42 and the algorithm. And with that all out
0:43 of the way, let's get into it. So, the
0:44 first feature that we're going to
0:46 discuss today that will be added looks
0:49 like in the third quarter of 2025, so
0:50 hopefully this is coming out soon, is
0:53 finally we are getting the mobile app.
0:55 I've been waiting for this for a long
0:57 time. It was announced that we were
0:58 going to get an app. When the academy
1:00 first launched and it's been about a
1:02 year now, so hopefully it's coming out
1:04 in the next couple months. I am really
1:06 looking forward to being able to
1:08 download my lectures onto my phone. I
1:10 have a job where I drive around a lot
1:12 and usually I'm listening to audiobooks.
1:14 Sometimes I'll go on Chrome, pull up the
1:16 Peterson Academy and try to listen to
1:18 lectures, but it's very difficult when
1:20 you're on the Chrome app. Um, with the
1:22 Peterson Academy app and the ability to
1:23 download lectures, it's going to be
1:26 much, much easier for me to listen to
1:27 lectures on the go. So, I'm probably
1:29 going to be cranking through courses a
1:31 lot quicker, which hopefully means more
1:32 reviews for you guys. So, I'm going to
1:34 read the little brief description that
1:36 the Peterson Academy has here on their
1:39 website. Um, the Peterson Academy mobile
1:41 app makes learning convenient and
1:42 flexible. we've submitted to the app
1:45 store and are weeks away from launch.
1:46 Whether you're watching lectures,
1:49 downloading for offline use, listening
1:51 as a podcast, testing your knowledge,
1:53 waiting to get notified of engagement,
1:56 or engaging with course discussions. The
1:58 experience is designed to be immersive
2:00 and on the- go. So, yeah, as I said
2:02 there, I'm incredibly excited to be able
2:03 to download lectures. I know I'm going
2:06 to breeze through courses a lot quicker
2:07 just having that ability and having an
2:09 app that makes it a little bit easier to
2:11 do it on my phone. Usually I'm watching
2:12 lectures when I'm at home with my
2:15 laptop, but when I'm on the go, I'm
2:16 usually I find myself sitting around a
2:19 lot a lot and uh just wanting to take a
2:20 lecture, but I don't have my laptop on
2:22 me. And like I said, sometimes going
2:25 through the Peterson Academy on your uh
2:27 Chrome app can be a little finicky. So,
2:29 I'm incredibly excited for this and I'm
2:31 looking forward to it. So, the next
2:33 feature that we have rolling out in the
2:36 fourth quarter and in 2026 is datadriven
2:39 personal insights. Now, so this I assume
2:40 is going to be much like Jordan
2:42 Peterson's personality test, the one
2:44 that he's devised and has on his
2:46 website. So, I know a lot of people
2:47 watching this video have probably
2:49 already taken that personality test and
2:51 they're wondering like, do I have to
2:52 take the whole thing again here on the
2:54 Peterson Academy? I'll let you guys know
2:56 as that feature comes out if you can
2:58 import your results from the uh
3:00 understand myself uh assessment that
3:03 Jordan Peterson has on his website. If
3:04 you have to redo it again, that would
3:06 kind of suck. But honestly, I like
3:07 answering those questions and I like
3:10 seeing how my personality comes out on
3:12 the scale. Where am I at in extraversion
3:14 and conscientiousness and all that is
3:15 always interesting to me. I know I've
3:17 posted my results before. I think I
3:19 posted them. I maybe I did in a video,
3:21 but I know for sure I posted my results
3:23 for my personality test on the quad.
3:25 This is going to be interesting though,
3:27 adding in this dimension of uh
3:30 personality assessment to try to better
3:32 equip people with the with the tools
3:33 that they need to find the jobs that
3:35 they want and hopefully to assign people
3:37 to jobs that are suited for them. So
3:39 that's kind of why they're rolling out
3:41 this datadriven person personal
3:43 insights. Leverage psychometric
3:45 assessments based on decades of research
3:48 by Dr. Peterson and his team to reveal
3:50 your personality, interests, strengths,
3:53 weaknesses, and more. Use scientifically
3:55 validated personality insights to drive
3:57 self-development, enhance your
3:59 understanding of yourself, your friends,
4:01 family, if you choose to share your
4:03 results, and help increase your chance
4:05 of employment. We'll be launching
4:07 personality testing first and building
4:09 further testing out more and more in
4:12 2026. So, I'm very curious of how this
4:14 feature is actually going to look as it
4:16 rolls out. I I will do videos covering
4:19 it as it comes out. I'll review um kind
4:20 of the process, but I think it's going
4:23 to come out as basically the understand
4:25 myself quiz. Like like I said, you might
4:27 be able to import your results from the
4:29 understand myself uh website, but
4:31 possibly you'll have to do it all over
4:32 again and get your base personality
4:35 assessment from there in 2026. The
4:36 further questioning that will help kind
4:39 of assess and place people where they're
4:41 kind of best suited to be employed. I
4:43 don't know exactly how that's going to
4:44 work out. I don't know if we're going to
4:46 be reaching out to employers or if
4:47 employers are going to be reaching out
4:49 out to us as students. It's a little bit
4:50 up in the air right now. I don't know
4:52 exactly how this is going to play out,
4:54 but like I said, I will be making videos
4:56 reviewing these features as they come
4:58 out to kind of help give you guys a
4:59 better understanding of what exactly
5:01 they're they're planning on doing here
5:03 with their personality assessments and
5:05 and stuff like that. So, the next
5:07 feature I think kind of branches off
5:09 from this. It should come out in the
5:11 fourth quarter and in 2026 and it is the
5:14 career paths f feature. So career paths
5:16 helps take your psychometric testing
5:18 scores and discover how your personality
5:21 strengths and interests align with real
5:23 career opportunities. You'll unlock
5:24 insights that can guide your career
5:27 decisions, add to your CV, and help you
5:29 get connected to employers through
5:32 Peterson Academy. Companies will
5:35 continually be added throughout 2026.
5:37 So, it's the last sentence there in the
5:39 description that really intrigues me.
5:41 I'm so curious to how this feature is
5:42 actually going to roll out and uh play
5:44 out. But, it seems like they're going to
5:47 be adding companies to the Peterson
5:49 Academy itself and you're going to be
5:50 able to apply to these companies through
5:52 the Peterson Academy. Now, now that's
5:55 quite cool. And I will say, um I know
5:57 there's been talk about are you going to
5:58 get a real degree from the Peterson
6:01 Academy? Will it be accredited? Uh what
6:02 employers going to take it seriously and
6:04 stuff like that. I know I covered some
6:05 of that in my one-year Peterson Academy
6:07 video, but to be completely honest with
6:09 you guys, even if I just get a little
6:10 certification, a little piece of paper
6:12 in the mail that says I completed the
6:14 Peterson Academy, that's good enough for
6:17 me. For me, an accredited bachelor's
6:19 degree isn't the most important thing.
6:21 If you offered me an accredited
6:24 bachelor's degree or a job opportunity,
6:26 I'm going to take the job opportunity.
6:28 And looks like with this personality
6:29 testing, I'm probably going to find a
6:31 job that I like, that I'm actually
6:33 interested, that aligns with my
6:34 personality and my interests and my
6:36 strengths. So, that's awesome. I'm
6:38 incredibly excited to see what jobs are
6:41 going to be offered. And as I learn that
6:43 information, I will, of course, share it
6:45 with you guys. And maybe in a year or
6:47 two years time, you'll see me applying
6:48 to one of these companies and getting a
6:50 job through the Peterson Academy. and
6:52 I'll cover my journey all along the way
6:54 to kind of help give you guys the uh the
6:57 stepping stones to follow along with me.
6:58 Um if you're interested in getting a
7:00 career out of the Peterson Academy, this
7:02 is exciting news. I'm I'm incredibly
7:05 excited about this and uh yeah, we'll
7:06 see how this actually rolls out. But I
7:08 also want to hear from you guys. Let me
7:09 know down below in the comments how do
7:11 you guys think this is going to play
7:13 out. Is this going to be better than
7:14 traditional universities and how they
7:16 typically assign students to jobs and
7:18 stuff like that? uh you guys let me know
7:20 down below in the comments because I
7:21 only have as much information as I'm
7:23 sharing with you guys today. I don't
7:24 work for the Peterson Academy. I don't
7:27 have any insider knowledge. So um this
7:29 is as much as I know and we'll see kind
7:32 of how these features work as they are
7:34 released and as they play out over the
7:35 next year. So we have two more features
7:37 to cover. The next one is coming out in
7:39 the fourth quarter of 2025. So it should
7:40 be out before the end of the year. And
7:42 I'm incredibly excited for this one.
7:43 It's the curriculum planner. So,
7:45 Curriculum Builder gives you the power
7:47 to visually plan your education across
7:49 interests, difficulty levels, and
7:51 disciplines. Map your progress from
7:54 beginner to expert with branching course
7:57 trees that grow as your knowledge does.
7:58 And you can kind of see a picture here
8:00 kind of at the bottom where you can see
8:02 kind of an example here of uh what
8:04 classes might be considered beginner,
8:06 which ones might be considered
8:07 intermediate, which ones might be
8:09 advanced, and how do they all play off
8:12 of each other? So, I know I talked a
8:13 little bit in my one year of Peterson
8:16 Academy about the uh course variety. I
8:17 think there is a great course variety
8:19 right now and uh especially for them
8:21 only having about 60 courses. I feel
8:22 like a lot of different sciences are
8:25 covered, but as I said in my video, the
8:27 academy does lean a little bit hard
8:29 towards psychology, philosophy, and
8:31 history. So, those are going to be kind
8:33 of the main subjects I think that people
8:35 are going to be mastering or getting
8:36 degrees in or getting their
8:39 certification in at least. So, it's
8:41 going to be very interesting to see how
8:44 this uh curriculum planner um plays out
8:46 and how you're able to use it. Uh do you
8:48 have to complete certain courses to get
8:50 your degree? Do you have to just
8:51 complete a certain amount of courses?
8:53 Maybe you just have to do a 100 courses
8:55 uh completed and then you can get your
8:57 certification or maybe you have to
8:59 complete certain specific courses. Maybe
9:01 you have to have a finance course. Maybe
9:02 you have to take an economics course.
9:04 Maybe there's no option. I don't know
9:05 how it's going to play out. Maybe you
9:08 have full control. Maybe you don't. Um,
9:10 like I said, I'll review that fe feature
9:12 as it comes out, but I'm excited that we
9:14 have a little bit of a little bit of a
9:16 way to plan in which direction we are
9:18 going here because uh it was a little
9:20 bit chaotic at first. You know, you kind
9:22 of take whichever course you want. You
9:23 don't know which course is going to
9:25 build off of another course, which
9:26 course is going to get a part two, which
9:28 course is more important than the other
9:30 course, like which course is is
9:31 necessary to get my degree, which ones
9:33 are a little bit more optional, stuff
9:35 like that. So, I think the curriculum
9:36 planner is going to help clear a lot of
9:38 that stuff out and it's going to help
9:40 people to better plan um their education
9:43 journey. So, curriculum planner um
9:44 coming soon. I'm incredibly excited for
9:46 that. And the last feature that we'll
9:48 talk about today is a pretty simple one,
9:50 but I've been waiting for it for a long
9:51 time because it makes it a little bit
9:53 easier again to plan your education
9:55 route and plan which lectures you want
9:57 to take in the future. And that's to um
9:59 that's just basically a feature where
10:01 you can see the upcoming courses. Now,
10:02 this should be coming out in the third
10:04 quarter of 2025, meaning that it should
10:06 be out in the next couple months here
10:08 and uh with it, you will be able to
10:10 discover just a handful of the upcoming
10:13 courses debuting this year with many
10:15 more in development. So, we have a
10:17 little bit of a sneak peek here. Uh we
10:18 can see the next two months worth of
10:20 courses. So, on September 3rd, the
10:23 corporation with uh Dr. Jarren Brookke
10:25 came out. Uh, I haven't taken any of
10:27 Brook's courses yet, but I am interested
10:30 because finance, economics, this is
10:32 stuff that my cousin's more interested
10:34 than me, and I need to push myself in
10:35 those departments. You know, I'm very
10:37 naturally interested in psychology,
10:39 philosophy, and history, but I need to
10:42 push myself to diversify my knowledge,
10:43 right? So, I want to take some of those
10:45 courses by uh Dr. Brooke. They look
10:47 very, very interesting. So, the
10:49 corporation has been added to my
10:50 courses. We'll see when I get around to
10:52 covering it, but you guys will
10:53 definitely know cuz I'll do a review for
10:56 it. September 10th, uh, that's tomorrow
10:59 by the time of recording this video. But
11:01 the psychology of wealth with Dr. Keith
11:02 Campbell, another Keith Campbell course.
11:04 Very excited about that one. I've
11:05 enjoyed every single course that I've
11:08 taken with him so far. So, very excited
11:10 to take another Keith Campbell course.
11:12 On the 17th of September, we will be
11:14 getting the philosophy of education with
11:16 Dr. Steven Hicks. Again, you guys know
11:18 that Hicks is one of my favorite
11:19 professors on the academy. He's so
11:21 smooth with his words. It's very easy to
11:23 listen to him and I find him to be one
11:25 of the best philosophy instructors or
11:28 teachers I've ever had in my life. So,
11:29 um, incredibly excited for that one as
11:32 well. Then on September 24th, we have
11:34 Nietze, Further Down the Rabbit Hole
11:36 with Dr. Jordan Peterson, and I'm very
11:37 excited for that one as well. Obviously,
11:39 I'm a big fan of Nichze. I really liked
11:42 Jordan Peterson's Nichze course. I know
11:45 not everyone agrees with uh N or Dr.
11:47 Jordan Peterson's analysis of Nichzche.
11:49 Some people think that he misreads him.
11:51 I find his analysis to be very useful. I
11:54 don't use it as the end all beall. I I
11:55 like to, you know, go across different
11:57 thinkers, what different people think of
11:59 of Nichze and what different people have
12:01 gotten from him. Um, I kind of pull
12:03 everything together and then develop my
12:05 own thoughts. So, um, but I do find
12:07 Jordan Peterson to be very, very useful
12:08 for understanding Nichze. He's helped me
12:10 a lot to understand his ideas. So, I'm
12:12 excited to go further down the rabbit
12:14 hole with that one. A nice little Alice
12:16 in Wonderland reference there, too. It's
12:18 my favorite favorite animated film of
12:20 all time and maybe my favorite fairy
12:22 tale ever. So nice to see that Jordan
12:24 Peterson shares the same taste. And then
12:26 on October 8th, we have an economy
12:28 class, the history uh the history and
12:30 economics of money with Dr. Year and
12:32 Brooke again. Seems like he's going to
12:33 be doing a lot of courses on the
12:35 academy. I believe he already has three
12:37 and then two more scheduled. So we're
12:38 going to see him on there quite a bit.
12:40 And from what I've seen from the
12:41 trailers, he looks to be incredibly
12:43 knowledgeable and very interesting. So
12:45 I'm excited for all of his courses. I
12:46 just haven't gotten around to the
12:48 economics courses yet. I've been a
12:50 little bit more um centered around the
12:52 like I said philosophy, psychology, and
12:54 history courses. And then the last
12:56 course that we have announced so far is
12:59 on October 15th. We will be um getting
13:02 logic from Dr. Steven Hicks. So another
13:04 Steven Hicks course. The logic course is
13:07 a 101 course. You can see that the uh
13:10 philosophy of education is a 250 course.
13:12 Um the NZEA course is a 304 course. So
13:14 So we're starting to see some course
13:15 numbers there. We're starting to see,
13:16 you know, the different difficulty
13:18 levels and it's starting to look a
13:19 little bit more like a university now.
13:22 So, that's cool to see as well. I I'm
13:23 glad that they're starting to kind of
13:25 number the courses and do the little
13:27 color coding. The philosophy courses are
13:30 in purple. The economy courses are looks
13:32 like in green. Uh psychology is in blue.
13:34 So, that's nice. It helps to keep things
13:36 organized, help to know where things
13:37 are, which courses are associated to
13:39 other courses and stuff like that. So,
13:41 very exciting that we have the upcoming
13:44 courses feature coming soon here. I I
13:46 like to be able to plan which lectures
13:47 I'm going to take, which ones I'm going
13:48 to do reviews for. Obviously, I make
13:50 videos for all the courses I take. So,
13:52 it's going to help me out a little bit,
13:54 too. So, that's awesome to see. We got
13:56 five new features rolling out towards
13:59 the end of 2025 and into 2026. I'm
14:00 incredibly excited for all of them, and
14:02 I will be doing videos reviewing every
14:04 single one of these features as they
14:06 roll out, giving you guys my thoughts,
14:08 reviewing them a little bit, and uh
14:09 seeing where the academy goes from
14:11 there. It's exciting to watch it grow.
14:13 It's exciting to see new features added,
14:16 new professors added. Um, all of this
14:18 stuff is very, very exciting. It's um,
14:20 my journey's been great so far. I shared
14:22 that in my one-year video. Uh, I've
14:24 absolutely enjoyed it. But yeah, I think
14:25 that's all that I wanted to cover today.
14:27 I just wanted to share with you guys
14:28 this uh, this announcement that they
14:30 made about a week ago and talk about
14:31 some of these features. And you guys can
14:32 let me know down below in the comments
14:34 what you guys think of them. Are you a
14:35 little bit disappointed? Were you
14:37 expecting more? Or are you extremely
14:39 happy and excited about these features?
14:41 Are you um itching to start using them?
14:43 I know I am. I really want to start
14:44 downloading lectures. That's something
14:46 that I've wanted for a year now. So, I'm
14:47 very excited about that. But, let me
14:49 know your guys' thoughts down below in
14:50 the comments. I love discussing with you
14:52 guys. Don't forget to like, subscribe,
14:53 share with your friends. It help boost
14:55 this channel in the algorithm. Thank you
14:57 guys so much for watching as always. It
14:58 means the world to me. I'll catch you
