0:02 What do you want to do right now? You
0:04 might want to watch Netflix or maybe
0:06 text your friends or maybe just sleep,
0:08 but you don't want to study. And if you
0:10 really think about it, it's this lack of
0:12 motivation that leads you to not
0:14 studying, which leads you to not getting
0:16 the good grades that you deserve, even
0:18 though you know studying is the thing
0:19 you should be doing now. It just feels
0:22 impossible to start studying. I know
0:24 that feeling all too well. I wanted the
0:26 results. I wanted the grades. I wanted
0:27 the prestige. I wanted to show my
0:29 parents my perfect grades and I wanted
0:31 them to be proud of me. And yet, even
0:32 though I wanted all of that, studying
0:34 would just feel impossible. As someone
0:36 who has battled this feeling so many
0:38 times, I'm going to be going through the
0:40 big secrets and tactics that I use to
0:43 get me studying even on my laziest days
0:45 where the last thing I wanted to do was
0:47 studying. So that right after this
0:49 video, you're going to want to study.
0:51 And so the first thing that I just need
0:53 you to do is to imagine the perfect
0:55 scenario. What is the end goal that you
0:57 want to achieve? Why are you studying?
0:59 For me, it's simple. I want to be able
1:01 to on results day, vlog myself opening
1:04 my results and get perfect scores. I
1:06 want to get into universities that
1:08 everyone around the world knows the name
1:09 of. I want to make my grandparents
1:11 proud. I want to make my parents proud.
1:13 I want to make myself proud. Prove to
1:15 myself that I can achieve anything if I
1:17 just put my head to it. And then using
1:19 that, make videos like this for you guys
1:21 as well as pursue my own passions. Your
1:24 ideal end goal, the reason that your
1:25 studying might be different or it might
1:27 be similar to mine. But what I found is
1:29 that the way to want to study and get
1:31 motivated is to actually understand and
1:34 realize your end goal is guaranteed if
1:37 you study. Because let's be real, no one
1:39 wants to study. No one likes studying.
1:41 But we all do want and like something
1:43 else. And that's the end goal, the thing
1:44 that I just described for me. Just like
1:46 how going to the gym will get you to
1:48 that end goal of a physique, right?
1:50 studying now and putting in the effort
1:52 is like the direct link. It's the cause
1:53 and effect that will lead you to your
1:55 end goal. So once you realize that the
1:57 actions that you do now dictate to your
1:59 future, why wouldn't you want to study?
2:00 Because I promise you that if you do put
2:03 in the work, the results will show. And
2:04 so make sure to always have that clear
2:07 end goal in your mind, your why. I'm
2:08 proof of that. I didn't want to study,
2:10 but I wanted all nights in my GCSEs. I
2:12 had the clear goal in my head. I studied
2:14 and I got the results. Because knowing
2:16 why you're studying is going to get you
2:18 studying on those days that you really
2:20 don't want to. Too many students fail to
2:22 grasp this very concept because the
2:24 future feels very vague. But what you
2:26 have to realize is that the future
2:27 version of you who's living the dream
2:29 life, who has gotten the results, who
2:31 got into the university of their dreams.
2:32 That's not going to happen by luck. You
2:34 actually have full control whether that
2:35 happens or not. But that all comes down
2:37 to what you do now. Are you going to
2:39 study? Are you going to make the correct
2:41 choice? Like I don't know how better to
2:43 say this, but the reason that I'm here
2:45 right now as a person is not because of
2:47 what I'm doing right now, but it's
2:49 because of what JSpark last year decided
2:51 to do. He decided to put in the hard
2:53 work. He decided to study and has put me
2:55 in a great spot. And I'm really grateful
2:57 for JSpark one year ago. And it feels
2:58 great. But I also have to realize that
3:00 the reason I'm able to enjoy the fruits
3:03 of the seeds that I had sewn because
3:05 younger me had planted the seeds. And so
3:07 if I don't plant seeds right now for my
3:09 future self, I won't be able to enjoy
3:11 the results, the achievements that I
3:13 want unless I do the actions now. And so
3:15 for your future version, are you not
3:17 willing to put in the work, sit down,
3:19 lock in, and study? Your action step
3:21 right now, pull up a piece of paper or
3:24 on your notion, literally write down in
3:26 extreme detail why you're studying, what
3:28 the end goal is. Make it as clear as
3:30 possible. Visualize it. Just imagine how
3:32 happy you would be, how proud you'd be
3:35 of yourself. and know that all of that
3:37 is down to you and what you do today,
3:39 what you do tomorrow, what you do every
3:41 day. Every hour you study is a brick in
3:42 the foundation of your future. And the
3:44 second way that I got my ass up to study
3:46 on days that I didn't even feel like it
3:49 was realizing that this is all a race.
3:52 School and life in general is not fair.
3:53 It's cruel. We are all sitting the same
3:55 exam really. And the grade boundaries
3:57 are literally designed in the way so
3:59 that only the top 5% of students that
4:01 year who took the exam get the top
4:03 grades. That means that there isn't a
4:04 spot reserved for you. If you just play
4:06 at your own pace, you take cute breaks
4:08 and you scroll for hours upon hours on
4:10 TikTok, someone's going to run past you.
4:12 I treat studying and exams like a race
4:14 because that's what they are really. If
4:15 you don't feel like studying and you
4:17 have a Netflix date, that's fine, but
4:19 someone else is going to study on that
4:20 day that you didn't feel like it and
4:22 they're going to overtake you. If you're
4:24 older like me, you're all going for the
4:26 same universities. We're all going for
4:29 the same course. Resting and slacking is
4:30 fine. Taking a rest when you need it is
4:32 absolutely okay. But what you have to
4:33 sometimes ask yourself is that on those
4:36 days like when you just bedro all day or
4:37 you just make the choice of doing
4:39 something else rather than studying even
4:40 though you know that's what you should
4:41 be doing. Is that worth it for you to
4:43 give up your place in the race? And this
4:45 might be a kind of toxic way to see it
4:47 but it worked for me. And if you're also
4:48 feeling a sense of motivation right now
4:50 and fire you also know if you're in a
4:51 race you don't run a race
4:53 half-heartedly. You go all out. You have
4:55 to realize that every single student
4:57 doesn't like studying. I hate studying.
4:59 I have days where the last thing I want
5:00 to do is study. I have days I that I
5:02 scroll like 10 hours. I want to play
5:04 video games. But what separates the
5:05 student that gets top grades against the
5:08 student that doesn't isn't removing this
5:10 desire, this urge, this wanting to
5:11 procrastinate, right? Everyone gets
5:13 that. What separates the top student
5:14 from someone who's not. It's the
5:16 difference in how you respond to these
5:18 urges. Studying is a silent battle that
5:20 everyone fights and wins one hour at a
5:22 time. And so the last way, the third
5:24 thing that made it so I wanted to study
5:26 more was that I made it easier for
5:28 myself. Making studying easier is going
5:30 to make it so that you want to study
5:32 more. Just like how in a race you want
5:34 to wear comfortable shoes, you want to
5:36 be well hydrated and well prepared. You
5:37 want to run with friends. Wearing
5:39 comfortable shoes is kind of like
5:41 learning how to study the same amount in
5:42 less time so that you start to view
5:44 studying in more of a positive light and
5:45 you end up studying more. And you can
5:47 check out these videos to learn how to
5:49 do that. Basically, my whole channel.
5:50 Staying well hydrated and being well
5:52 equipped for a race is like setting up
5:53 your study space to not have
5:55 distractions. have all your resources,
5:56 books, everything you need right next to
5:58 you so that the action of studying is as
6:00 frictionless as possible and you try to
6:02 make it a habit so that you rely less on
6:04 motivation. Running with friends is like
6:06 having a study group being held
6:08 accountable. And actually in my
6:10 community, the student accelerator, my
6:11 members write their goal every week
6:12 underneath the pin post. And then we
6:14 keep each other accountable. And that's
6:16 how we make sure we study. And people
6:18 actually stick to studying way more in
6:20 my program because of this way. And you
6:21 can actually find out more about the
6:22 student service if this interests you
6:24 and how you can surround yourself with
6:25 like-minded students with the first
6:28 link. And it's also the key realization
6:30 to not let perfect be the enemy of the
6:32 good. And what this quote means is that
6:34 you don't need to try and obsess to have
6:36 a perfect study session. Don't obsess
6:38 over that. Rather, just start now. Too
6:40 many times me and other students end up
6:42 not studying because we set the bar too
6:44 high. But just do two questions right
6:45 now. Just study for 20 minutes on the
6:48 bus. It doesn't matter. Just ingrain it
6:49 into who you are as an identity, as your
6:51 identity as a student, and show that in
6:53 your actions. Millions of students
6:54 around the world are doing the same
6:56 thing. You're not alone. Just look at
6:57 the view count on this video. Every
6:59 single viewer here is an ambitious
7:00 student. They all want the same grades
7:01 as you. You're not alone and it's going
7:03 to be tough at times, but remember the
7:04 end vision that you want and you know
7:06 that you deserve, it's all down to what
7:09 you do now. And lastly, realizing that
7:12 regret hurts more than effort. And I
7:13 promise you that it really does. And
7:15 anyone who's watching this can vouch for
7:16 this in the comments. When you open that
7:18 envelope, that results day or you get
7:21 the end result of however many years you
7:22 studied and you're disappointed. You
7:24 regret not having studied more, but then
7:26 it's all going to be too late. Then that
7:27 is the worst feeling that you could
7:29 have. It hurts right now. Effort hurts.
7:31 Who wants to stop watching their
7:33 favorite show and sit down and study?
7:35 But the pain of regret hurts way more.
7:37 But you can stop this by choosing what
7:40 you do now and making the right choice.
7:41 And so what are you going to do after
7:44 watching this video? That's right. You
7:45 know what you have to do. Oh yeah, just
7:47 in case you missed it, the exam prep
7:49 shortcut is now open. If you've been
7:51 struggling with mediocre grades, even
7:52 while studying for hours on end, then
7:54 pass papers might be the study tool that
7:55 can help you get straight A's while
7:57 cutting back your study time. Everything
7:59 you need to master it is inside of the
8:00 exam prep shortcut. And since we're in
8:02 the early stages of the launch, I've
8:03 cooked up something special for those
8:05 who get it right now. Just click the
8:07 link below to access it. But anyways, I
8:08 hope this really did motivate you to
8:10 study. And so what you going to be doing
8:12 after this? Studying. Yes, that's right.
8:13 Uh but yep, thank you for watching this
8:15 video and I'll see you in the next [Music]
8:16 [Music]
8:18 one. Yes. Lock it. Lock it. Lock it.
