it has to be deep and know deep moves
you tectonically and it's not a trivial
thing and but that's better than
happiness psychologist author podcast
host emotional volcano Jordan Peterson
is known for his deep thoughts and wild
politics but he's also known for
breaking into tears when least expected
in the middle of interviews mediaite
presents Jordan Peterson can't stop
crying number eight Peterson chokes up
while telling Morgan about what it's
like to be Jordan Peterson and what's
the best thing about you the best thing
about being me yeah it's overwhelming
really well the Deep appreciation that
people have for what I've been
doing it's stunning it's it's Soul
destroying but it's amazing is it not
Soul enhancing I mean I feel it when I
do interviews with you the reaction I
get from people just how much you mean
to them I I mean I can imagine it so
yeah well that's a bit much you know I
mean look when I go wherever I go it's
so strange because wherever I go it's
like I have friends there because I walk
down the street and people wave at me
and you know they call up my name
and it's a bit much you know it's a
strange thing to have far more than you
imagine what do you
mean well that's my life I have far more
than I could ever
possible I mean You' become somebody who
in the later stage of your life now you
did it again you got me again God yeah
it's it's very interesting I mean you
are you are an emotional person I know
that um but I think it's also
interesting to me what makes you
emotional it's you know imagine someone
gave you everything you could possibly
imagine and more well that's the
situation I'm in number number seven the
tears flow as Peterson waxes poetic on
pain Love and Truth the most fundamental
reality is
pain yes is there anything more
fundamental than pain
pain love
love
pain love and
truth that's what you got and you know
if they're more powerful than pain maybe
they're the most real things number six
Peterson gets emotional while telling
Joe Rogan about a father and son we were
walking down the street and this car
pulled up beside us and this kid hopped
out he good-looking Latino Kid 20 21
something like that he jumped over and
he said uh he's all excited he said are
you Dr Peterson I said yeah yeah and he
said I'm really really happy to meet you
um I've been watching your lectures for
like like a year and a half and uh I've
been trying to put my life together and
it's really working I'm really doing way
better I really wanted to thank you and
so it's lovely he when you're walking
down a kind of rough area and somebody
pulls up beside you and they jump out of
the car to tell you how much better
their life is that's a pretty good
morning and so but then that isn't all
that happened he ran back to his car he
said wait a minute wait a minute he went
back to his car and he got out his dad
and they came over together and his dad
was just smiling away like a real smile
you know and so was the kid and they had
their arms around each other and they
said look like we've really been working
on a relationship for the last year and
a half and it's going just great we want
to thank you and the father said
something like I'm really happy that you
got my son back to me it's like yes
that's what this bloody tour is been
like it's great you getting very
emotional about this well it's something
Joe Jesus I've seen like 150,000 people
in the last two months you know and this
is what it's well you'll have a chance
to talk to Reuben about this too this is
what it's been like it's so positive I
can't believe it number number five a
lecture is interrupted by Peterson's
lament over demoralized young people
that's no message for young people
that's no there's no excuse for that and
you think well you know we're going to
destroy the planet we have to do this we
have to demoralize the youth to be
ethical it's like yeah really that's
your theory you're going to demoralize
young people to be ethical that's your
theory it's like you should go and think
about that for like a year and I'm
because you have no idea how many people that's
killing you have no idea I see people
everywhere all over the world they're so demoralized
