2:28 non-fiction books about history, but I
2:31 can totally understand getting lost in a
2:34 good story. That sounds so nice. My main
2:37 hobby, my absolute favorite thing to do
2:40 in my free time is playing the guitar.

2:45 you play the guitar. How long have you
2:49 been playing? Oh, for many, many years
2:52 now. Since I was a teenager. It's
2:53 something I started because I loved
2:57 music and it just stuck with me. I try
2:59 to play every day, even if it's just for
3:01 a few minutes. It helps me clear my
3:04 head. That's so cool. Do you play
3:07 different types of music like rock or
3:11 pop or classical? Mostly rock and blues.
3:13 I love the energy of rock music and
3:16 blues has such a deep feeling.
3:18 Sometimes I try to learn new songs and
3:20 sometimes I just play what comes to
3:23 mind. It's very relaxing. Do you listen
3:26 to music often, Emily? Oh, yes. I love
3:29 music. I listen to music almost every
3:32 day. It helps me focus when I'm working
3:35 and it's great for cheering me up. I
3:38 like many different genres like pop,
3:41 rock, and some jazz, but my favorite is
3:44 pop music. Usually something upbeat.
3:46 That's wonderful. So, reading and
3:49 listening to music, those are great ways
3:52 to spend your free time. Do you have any
3:54 other hobbies that you enjoy? Maybe
3:58 something more active. Yes, I do. I also
4:00 love going for walks in the park,
4:02 especially when the weather is nice,
4:05 like today. I enjoy being outside and
4:08 seeing the trees and the flowers. It's a
4:11 simple activity, but it makes me feel
4:15 very good. Ah, yes. Taking a walk is so
4:17 refreshing. It's a great way to get some
4:20 fresh air and exercise. Do you walk
4:24 alone or with someone? Usually I walk
4:27 alone. It's my time to think and just
4:30 enjoy the quiet. Sometimes I listen to a
4:33 podcast actually like our podcast Mr.

4:39 Yes, that's a great idea. Walking and
4:42 learning English. Perfect combination.
4:44 So, you enjoy reading, listening to
4:47 music, and walking. Those are wonderful
4:50 hobbies. My turn again. Besides playing
4:54 the guitar, I also really enjoy cooking.

4:59 good cook? What kind of food do you like
5:04 to make? Well, I try to be. I enjoy
5:07 cooking Italian food a lot. Pasta,
5:10 pizza, things like that. I love to
5:12 experiment with new recipes and it's
5:14 very satisfying to create something
5:19 delicious and then of course eating it.
5:22 Yes, eating is the best part. Do you
5:25 cook often like every day? Not every
5:28 day, but a few times a week, especially
5:31 on weekends. It's a hobby that I share
5:34 with my family sometimes, which makes it
5:38 even more fun. My kids love to help me
5:41 make pizza. It can get a little messy,
5:44 but it's always a good time. That sounds
5:47 lovely, Paul. Cooking with family is a
5:50 special way to spend time together. So,
5:54 you have guitar and cooking. Do you have

6:27 Yes, a shovel, too. I have a small
6:30 garden, and I mostly grow vegetables.
6:34 tomatoes, lettuce, some herbs like basil
6:38 and parsley. It's so rewarding to plant
6:40 a tiny seed and watch it grow into
6:43 something you can eat. It's very

6:56 lot of time gardening? I try to spend a
6:59 little time in the garden every weekend.

7:30 definitely. I love spending time with
7:32 friends. One of my favorite social
7:35 activities is playing board games. Do
7:38 you like board games, Emily? Oh, I love
7:41 board games, Paul. They're so much fun.
7:43 What kind of board games do you play?
7:46 Like strategy games or more simple ones?
7:49 We play a mix. Sometimes we play longer
7:51 strategy games that take a few hours
7:54 like Katon or Ticket to Ride. And
7:57 sometimes we play quick, fun card games
8:00 like Uno or Exploding Kittens. It's
8:02 always a good laugh with friends. That's
8:05 great. Board games are fantastic because
8:08 they make you think, but also you get to
8:11 laugh and talk with your friends. I also
8:15 enjoy board games and I also really like
8:17 going to the cinema with friends. Ah,
8:20 going to the cinema. That's a classic
8:22 and wonderful way to spend time. What
8:24 kind of movies do you like to watch at
8:28 the cinema? I love watching big action
8:31 movies or comedies on the big screen.
8:32 It's a different experience than
8:35 watching at home. And then after the
8:37 movie, we can go for a coffee and talk
8:40 about it. Yes, talking about the movie
8:43 afterward is the best part. It's like a
8:46 mini discussion group. So, we both enjoy
8:49 social activities. What about something
8:51 creative? Emily, do you have any
8:55 creative hobbies? H creative.
8:58 I sometimes enjoy drawing. It's not
9:01 something I do very often, but sometimes
9:03 I feel like sketching something. Maybe a
9:06 landscape or a simple portrait. I'm not
9:09 a professional, but it's relaxing.
9:11 That's a very nice creative outlet,
9:14 Emily. It's good to have something where
9:18 you can just let your imagination flow.
9:22 So, you enjoy drawing. Do you have a
9:25 favorite thing to draw? Not really a
9:28 favorite, but I often draw things from
9:33 nature like trees or flowers. Or
9:36 sometimes I try to draw funny
9:40 characters. It's just for fun, really.
9:42 What about you, Paul? Do you have any
9:45 creative hobbies besides playing the
9:49 guitar? Well, playing the guitar is my
9:52 main creative hobby, but sometimes I
9:56 also enjoy writing short stories.
9:59 It's something I do just for myself, not
10:02 to publish or anything. I just like
10:05 creating characters and plots. Wow,

10:12 stories requires a lot of imagination.
10:15 What kind of stories do you write? like
10:18 adventure stories or maybe something

10:23 Usually they are short adventure
