0:50 there's actually no equivalent word in
0:52 English to describe what is going on
0:54 here but basically it's a Spring
0:56 Festival custom here in fuan where the
0:59 deities visit the human world for a few
1:00 days each day day they're taken through
1:02 different sections of the village so
1:04 locals have a chance to see them and give

1:14 offerings definitely the coolest way to
1:16 get a village tour pretty we're the only
1:19 non-locals In This Crowd no one has
1:21 kicked us out of the procession yet so I
1:29 everybody for those of you who haven't
1:31 seen seen the other videos in this

1:34 random guys I'm traveling with they are
1:36 my friends ASA John and meti from
1:38 kashkar shinjang we've been traveling
1:40 together for the past few days exploring
1:42 spring festival customs here in fuen and
1:44 I have to say this morning has been the

2:21 the daies don't just want offerings they
2:23 also want a good time this isn't
2:26 supposed to be an auster event groups of
2:27 men from the village rotate to take the
2:29 deities on a fast ride through the
2:31 street and it's believed that the faster
2:32 you run with the throne on your
2:34 shoulders the more blessings will come
2:36 your way wherever it's too crowded or
2:39 narrow to run the dieses are carried at
2:41 a leisurely Pace to enjoy the scenery
2:44 the perfect balance of relaxation and [Applause]
3:07 I didn't realize just how big this event
3:09 was until we got out of this Main Street
3:11 we're in all these little Alleyways the
3:12 whole time and you just don't get a
3:15 sense of the scale of this parade until
3:18 you're out on a whole four Lane Street
3:20 and I'm like whoa this is really big I

4:12 this has been going for like 45 minutes

4:28 little Alleyway this is so cool obsessed

7:43 so apparently the whole point of
7:45 bringing the dieses out on the street
7:47 here is so that everyone can see them so
7:48 everyone living in this neighborhood
7:50 gets a chance to get up close and
8:13 apparently there is a little tulo in
8:15 this Village and they're not that common
8:17 in urbanized areas they're more thing
8:18 like out in the mountains but there's
8:20 apparently a little one in this Village
8:46 here it is everyone it's pretty wild to
8:49 be able to see this in any capacity this

9:02 so people are still living in the tulo
9:06 kind of but it's really just more like a
9:09 really really tall yard
9:14 wall living in a modern house within the
9:17 crumbling walls of this old hulo
9:18 fortress apparently this thing has been
9:20 around for about 2 or 3 hund years and
9:22 in the 1960s it started kind of
9:24 crumbling into disrepair and nobody
9:26 really went out of their way to fix it
9:27 and a little bit of the inner wall is
9:29 still here look at this puppy she is
9:31 made out of [Music]
9:54 dirt here's some more old dirt walls
9:56 here and as it disintegrates it's being
10:17 it's hard to visualize this thing
10:19 holding over a 100 families when all
10:22 that's left is crumbling bits of an old
10:24 wall if you guys are interested in tulo
10:26 fortresses don't worry they are coming
10:29 up in two dedicated videos in a week or
10:30 so for now we're headed to the city of
10:33 janjo for lunch and then we'll be back
10:34 here in the evening for a little bit

10:42 had a very chaotic very exciting morning
10:44 we just finished lunch and now it's time

14:21 here I'm really not sure because I heard
14:23 several different versions of the story
14:25 but anyway whatever the d were looking
14:27 for they didn't find it so better luck

14:57 there's something a lot less ceremonial
15:00 about pushing it on wheels as opposed to
