0:08 recently being renewed praise C I've
0:10 compiled some of the most compelling
0:12 insane and wild theories out there was
0:14 that actually Helena at the end and is
0:17 the entire town of Kier severed we're
0:18 going to look at these theories using
0:20 all the evidence we have to determine if
0:23 they hold some weight or are complete
0:25 feculence I've also left timestamps

0:40 least might have been at one point in
0:42 their lives first let's take a look at
0:44 the Town itself it feels very much cut
0:46 off from the rest of the world or
0:48 severed if you will it has its own
0:50 license plates and state abbreviation of
0:53 PE and aside from Salt snck we really

1:03 from time and space and that bleeds into
1:05 the town a bit too we wanted the town to
1:08 feel like an extension of lumen in a way
1:09 here may even be where Lumen dumped
1:11 early test subjects of the severance
1:13 project and there's no better example of
1:15 this than ricken and his friends these
1:17 guys are highly intellectual yet at the
1:20 same time wildly childlike for example
1:22 there's this scene in episode 101 where
1:24 Patton questions why World War one
1:27 wasn't called World War I at the time no
1:30 one would have called it World War I cuz
1:33 World War II hadn't happened yet or how
1:35 about when baby Eleanor is found he
1:37 yells that he was the first one to find
1:39 her like a kid winning some sort of
1:42 competition I found her I found your
1:45 child I'm the one who found her but
1:47 these strongest piece of evidence is
1:50 when rebec tells Mark in 109 that she
1:52 has sores on the back of her head and I
1:53 have some sores on the back of my head
1:55 from my bird you might see the but what
1:57 if they're the result of several
2:00 attempts to put chips in her head now
2:01 this part is really going to blow your
2:03 minds you know how every severed
2:05 employee has their first name followed
2:08 by last initial like Mark s or Dylan G
2:11 look at ricken and his friends we have
2:14 Patton who could be Pat n ricken ricken
2:18 Denise Danny C and rebec rebec A or
2:20 Rebecca rebec's name is especially
2:22 interesting I've never met a rebec in my
2:25 life it's possible when she was severed
2:27 she was known as Rebecca but when her
2:29 brain got scrambled she defaulted to the
2:32 way l refers to in ditch the last letter
2:35 of her name and simply goes by rebec a
2:37 uh Rebecca rebec this leads me to my
2:40 next the that ricken is an early Lumen
2:42 test subject or even the Audi of one of
2:45 the goats found in maman's nurtural let
2:48 me explain in the book The U are rickan
2:50 discusses his childhood and how his
2:52 parents were arrested for a bank robbery
2:54 not much is known about where he grew up
2:55 but he would have had to have been put
2:58 in some sort of foster care I think he
3:00 was picked up by Lumen what better test
3:02 subject than an orphan plus we learned
3:04 that he interned at a honey Factory
3:06 which might have been run by Lumen
3:08 there's lots of be imagery at Lumen like
3:09 the be ever marry poster in the
3:11 breakroom and the Beehive cold word in
3:14 the security office we know Lumen has
3:16 internships too such as Miss Hong
3:18 interning on the severed floor ricken
3:20 also has a special connection with the
3:22 enies and perhaps that's because of his
3:24 severed past or how indoctrinated he is
3:26 the enies gravitate to the profound
3:28 words from his book which for us normal
3:31 folks seems ridiculous but the thing I
3:34 find most odd are Rick's connections to
3:36 goats and shout out to user plain room
3:39 7681 on Reddit who created a list of
3:41 connections between ricken and these
3:43 goats these include Rick's Bell app
3:45 which is similar to the Bell Laur uses
3:47 for the goats goat statues surround
3:49 Rick's house and at Rick's dinner
3:51 everyone except Mark and Devon are in
3:53 Earth toned Brown outfits and check out
3:56 the sun god imagery of his book cover it
3:58 matches the sun blaring behind the goat
4:00 during the sacrifice scene ricken also
4:02 loves to climb mountains like a goat
4:04 often times without any gear now I have
4:07 no idea how this would work but what if
4:08 you could take all these severed parts
4:11 of a person like the 25 parts of Gemma
4:13 and implant them into an animal so when
4:16 you do experience moments of trauma it
4:18 transfers to let's say a goat Drummond
4:20 even says of the goat to be offered that
4:22 it will be quote intuned to a cherished
4:24 woman who we assume is Gemma the
4:26 connection between Rick and his friends
4:28 and goats is further shown when people
4:30 like rebec chew like a goat and
4:32 according to Devon smell weird the
4:34 overtime contingency in the season 1
4:36 finale may have even triggered something
4:38 in ricken as he suddenly gets flustered
4:40 and starts saying things like hamburger
4:42 waiter they sound like a sad old
4:44 hamburger waiter but if you want to look
4:45 more into this I've left the links to
4:48 plain rooms posts in the description an
4:50 often overlooked aspect of the season
4:51 was the brief clip of a man in the
4:54 hallway watching Mark as he returns to
4:56 MDR at first I thought this might be a
4:58 replacement to Mr Greener the former
5:01 security guy but IMDb shows a different
5:03 actor credited as man in hallway this
5:05 same actor is credited a few episodes
5:08 later as Shadow Mark the mysterious Mark
5:10 lookalike we see during Oro this isn't
5:13 to be confused with Mark Watcher that's
5:15 a different actor the question then
5:17 becomes why include him here what
5:19 purpose does he serve I think we barely
5:21 scratched the surface of just how
5:23 labyrinthine the Lumen hallways are I
5:25 mean just look at the directions in
5:27 order to get to the export hallway then
5:29 there's P's map which has areas we
5:31 haven't scen yet like the coil of Doom
5:33 heck we didn't even know there was a
5:35 choreography and marryt Department until
5:37 the season 2 finale I think this guy's
5:39 from somewhere on the severed floor we
5:41 haven't seen yet he definitely is tied
5:43 to Mark and might be in charge of
5:44 physically keeping an eye on him just
5:46 like this guy monitors mark from a
5:48 computer one of the most talked about
5:50 theories and one I personally believe to
5:52 be true is that heli is pregnant with
5:55 Mark's child the two have had sex twice
5:56 and I'm guessing there aren't any Lumen
5:59 condoms lying around the show is hinted
6:00 at Mark being being a dad with the foo
6:03 signage outside zuu Chinese which means
6:05 father and that cryptic endline by Miss
6:08 Casey in Episode 205 in which he says
6:11 your Audi is going to be before it cuts
6:13 off I think she was going to say a
6:15 father we know that Helena has this
6:17 infatuation with Mark and even stalks
6:19 him at the Chinese restaurant joking
6:21 that she's going to take him home and
6:23 introduce him to Dad but in my opinion
6:25 the most compelling evidence to suggest
6:28 that she's pregnant is how much drama it
6:29 would create on the show it's it's a
6:31 writer's biggest dream to put a
6:33 character in such a weird situation
6:34 where we essentially have two
6:37 consciousnesses fighting over one child
6:39 like whose baby would it be and because
6:42 Marcus had sex with both heli and Helena
6:44 you can't really tell also Audi Mark
6:46 never engaged in this sexual behavior
6:49 with heli yet he's always wanted a child
6:51 what would happen if he found out his
6:53 innie has a kid does he have any claim
6:56 to that child it's technically his sperm
6:58 so it's a giant glorious mess of drama
6:59 that I'm sure the writers would want to
7:01 sink their teeth into speaking of heli
7:03 many have theorized that the heli who
7:05 meets Mark at the end of the finale is
7:07 actually Helena in an interview actress
7:10 Brit lower who plays hel confirmed that
7:12 this is not Helena however this wouldn't
7:14 be the first time an actor has lied to
7:16 keep up the mystery of a show the
7:18 evidence to support her being Helena is
7:21 very thin and open to interpretation the
7:22 first thing I'll say is that the heli
7:24 who is with Mark as he completes Cold
7:27 Harbor is heli I say this because she
7:29 talks about Delaware the same thing she
7:31 answered on her first day of work as
7:33 heli in episode 101 I mean you could
7:36 argue Helena watched the security camera
7:38 footage and remembered it from all those
7:40 months ago but that's a stretch in order
7:42 for this Theory to work then sometime
7:45 during Mark's escape a Glasgow block
7:46 would have had to have been performed
7:48 maybe Jame initiated it so that his
7:50 daughter could stop Mark a lot of
7:51 proponents of this Theory use this shot
7:54 of heli looking at Gemma as proof it's
7:56 Helena they believe it's kind of haha I
7:58 one look which would go against Irv's
8:02 opinion of heli hel was never cruel so
8:04 no I don't think this is Helena at the
8:05 end but if you do want to know more
8:08 about why Mark chose heli over Gemma I
8:10 go over it in much more detail in my
8:11 ending explained one of my good friends
8:14 Alyssa said to me way back in 201 what
8:16 if the board isn't an actual group of
8:18 people but is actually a motherboard and
8:20 I haven't been able to get this idea out
8:22 of my head what if Lumen has found a way
8:24 to store the consciousnesses of past
8:27 Lumen CEOs onto some sort of computer
8:29 where they could live forever and guide
8:31 the company as the board the ultimate
8:33 goal would be to find a way to upload
8:35 these consciousnesses to new vessels so
8:37 they could be reborn now you might be
8:39 asking herself think story we've heard
8:41 the board talk before and that's
8:44 partially true in episode 108 when coel
8:46 asks if the board is there a muffled
8:48 man's voice says
8:52 yes yes I think this is Jame Egan he
8:54 would be the only living person on the
8:56 board and considering the conversation
8:58 in this scene is all about Lumen finding
9:00 out about hel's suicide attempt it makes
9:02 sense that he would be on this call in
9:05 episode 203 Helena tells coobel that
9:07 they can go inside and call the board to
9:09 discuss her employment at Lumen but I'm
9:11 like what board can be assembled at a
9:13 moment's notice on a week night and what
9:15 if the board is connected to the
9:17 revolving this is a term we first heard
9:20 in the season 1 finale when Jame Egan
9:22 tells heli that one day she will sit
9:24 with him at his revolving I believe this
9:26 occurs when the current CEO dies and
9:28 their Consciousness is uploaded to the
9:31 board h would then take over as Lumen
9:33 CEO of course the biggest flaw in this
9:35 theory is that the technology needed to
9:38 perform such a Consciousness transfer
9:39 wouldn't have been around for the
9:42 earlier CEOs if you've seen my episode
9:43 209 video you'll know the show's
9:45 connection to an episode of The Twilight
9:47 Zone in which a woman finds out that
9:49 she's part of a group of mannequins who
9:51 all take turns becoming real for a month
9:53 the perpetuity Wing has the entire
9:56 collection of lumen CEOs as mannequins
9:58 what if they all take turns as some sort
10:00 of vessel in the real world one of the
10:01 more radical theories out there is that
10:04 Mark is the bastard child of Jame Egan
10:07 and Miss coobel episode 208 gave us a
10:09 glimpse of coel's childhood in which she
10:12 won the Jame Egan winter tide Fellowship
10:13 we also know James stole her schematics
10:15 for severance and I can't help but think
10:16 the two of them would have had to have
10:18 worked together in order to develop it
10:20 into something that works we also know
10:22 that Jame has a history of fooling
10:24 around with other women even those he
10:26 works with and that he sired other
10:28 children in the shadows coel knows this
10:30 as she used uses this knowledge to get
10:32 Devon and Mark into the birthing center
10:34 is that just a known Lumen secret or
10:35 does she have firsthand knowledge of her
10:38 former boss's indiscretions I think Jame
10:41 got coel pregnant when she was underage
10:43 and she was forced to give up the baby
10:45 this baby would be Mark in fact it may
10:47 even be Mark and Devon if they are
10:49 indeed biological siblings for this
10:51 Theory to work Mark wouldn't know he is
10:53 adopted as we learned in episode 203
10:55 that his mother's name is Fern and just
10:57 as an aside it would be crazy because
10:59 that would mean Mark and heli are half
11:02 siblings Mark being coel's son might
11:04 explain her weird infatuation with him
11:06 in season 1 she keeps an eye on him next
11:08 door and does motherly things like BAC
11:11 them cookies she also plays the role of
11:12 a wet nurse teaching Devon how to
11:14 breastfeed so it's possible she had a
11:17 kid or kids for some time before giving
11:19 them up coobel might have been the first
11:21 Severance test subject it makes sense if
11:23 she's the one who created it that she
11:25 would put her mind on the line to test
11:27 it it might also explain why she
11:28 exhibits signs of being two different
11:31 people there's the loving nurturing Mrs
11:33 Selvig and the cold and calculating miss
11:35 coel the greatest example of this is
11:37 when Miss coobel tells Mark her mother
11:39 was an atheist while Mrs Selvig says her
11:41 mother was a devout Catholic if she was
11:43 the first to be severed it probably came
11:45 with a lot of problems and her mind
11:46 might have gotten jumbled she herself
11:48 may not even know that Mark is her child
11:51 but some sort of motherly Instinct draws
11:53 her to him we still don't know how Gemma
11:55 wound up on the testing floor especially
11:57 considering she is supposed to be dead
12:00 in fact Mark tells us in 202 that he saw
12:02 her dead body if we're to believe The
12:04 Narrative of the show gemma's car slid
12:06 on the ice and she got into an accident
12:08 in fact I think she drowned this is
12:10 evidenced by the wet hair in this quick
12:13 flash of her in 205 the sinking car
12:15 found in the intro credits as well as
12:17 the fact she tells the nurse she'd be
12:18 more afraid of drowning to death in a
12:21 Mudslide than suffocating with Lumen
12:22 being part medical company that's
12:24 involved in things like collecting blood
12:26 and even fertility clinics it isn't a
12:28 stretch to think that Gemma was saved
12:29 from this drowning and brought to a
12:31 hospital run by Lumen there they could
12:33 whisk her away however this still
12:35 doesn't explain Mark seeing her dead
12:37 body that's the part of this Theory I
12:39 can't wrap my head around her ashes
12:42 which Mark keeps in his basement can be
12:44 explained simply as not being hers but
12:45 Mark seeing that body would mean either
12:47 that was gemma's real dead body some
12:50 sort of cloning took place or Mark's
12:52 memory has been manipulated and all
12:54 these seem a bit farfetched in season 3
12:56 I think we'll see Gemma escape from that
12:57 Lumen stairwell and hook up with Devon
12:59 and coel where we'll learn learn what
13:01 really happened the night of her
13:03 so-called death perhaps the biggest
13:04 indicator that Irv will be back in
13:07 season 3 is this loose thread of him
13:09 talking to a mystery person on the pay
13:10 phone in the past I theorized it could
13:13 be someone we know like rabi or coobel
13:15 but with how his character ended I think
13:17 we're looking at a new character for
13:19 season 3 IR storyline is the perfect
13:21 starting point to explore more of the
13:24 outside world and specifically the anti-
13:26 Lumen movement the person he's talking
13:28 to is likely someone who is both former
13:30 Lumen and part of this movement remember
13:32 that rabi told Mark there are anti-
13:34 Lumin groups out there far more powerful
13:36 than the whole M Collective the only
13:39 real anti- Lumin group we've seen thus
13:41 far how else would Irv's Audi know about
13:43 the exports hallway unless someone was
13:46 feeding him inside information he tells
13:47 this mysterious caller he thinks his
13:49 innie got the message this message was
13:52 ir's attempt to subliminally implant the
13:54 export hallway in his in's mind which
13:56 was done by painting the export hallway
13:58 over and over again while drinking
14:00 coffee and inhibiting sleep so that is
14:02 any would be tired and dream or
14:04 hallucinated but now I turn it over to
