wake that ass up in the morning The
Breakfast Club morning everybody it's DJ
mvy Angela shamine the GU We Are The
Breakfast Club we got a special guest in
the building the go the legend 50 Cent
it got me up bright and early fif what
up what's going on oh man everything
good man no complaints how you feel to
be back in New York man man it feel good
man the city the city's good as long as
you ain't watching YouTube to see the
news clips about everybody that's true
things is going on out here M look like
you got back in gim heavy bro I'm I back
you know they say I was fat it was
superl perform performance that [ __ ]
bothers me man did it did it really
bother I didn't bother me yeah cuz I was
like what are you talking about I'm not
fat like I got I'mma show you a picture
I I took with Jamie Fox you know I guess
it's the angle CU I was coming up so you
see like it look a little wi and then
they got they got that and they ran with
it but you know like I'm look I'm
looking like not I I fluctuated a lot
throughout my my run you know what I'm
saying and it's just my body type I can
be security bro what be too big about
this mother and so I had to you know
start training and working out stuff
regular stuff but I just made sure I did
it every morning because they said that
to me now how's it back on the road you
know the last two three years you've
been doing nothing but movies and shows
and now you back on the road how does
that feel to be outperforming again
crazy like you know look hip hop is now
old enough for them to start to treat us
like we treated the uh real pop stars
you know like with with Prince and and
Mike and them when they was they would
just say I'm I'm performing today and
the show would go up and sell out that
day you know what I'm saying like and
then internationally I'm getting an ill
response to the things like everything
sold out like when I went out there like
and it's because I like the ground
workor like during get rich of die
trying and the Massa those projects was
taking two years for me to come with the
next album because I spent the whole
year after I released it touring you
know so because I was going everywhere
like Croatia mubai India like costavo
like I everywhere you know what I'm
saying like everywhere that they would I
wanted all of the flags that M had on
that martial Ms Al yeah that plaque so I
was like I know I'm going have to go
door to door to get it but I'mma go in
the association to him help you know
what I'm saying so I was like I went out
there and did all of that but now now it
feels good cuz I'm able to go out there
and do those things and people really
responded to it and I'm so season the
performance now it's like it's easy you
know saying like I'm running out and
it's like hold hold up boom I'm like
yeah I could do it again tonight if I
had to does it make you feel celebrated
and appreciated cuz fif you you a
different type of Legend like there
levels to Legends you're a different
type of Legend you got to change you
can't stay the same way you know what
I'm saying like I'm looking going the
things that I I I I got off on in the
beginning charl man it it changed
dramatically like now the look The
Simplicity in writing music is a key to
it so like go shorty it's your birthday
it's what comes what I'm feeling when
I'm hearing the record and then the
reasons where people have a specific
reason to want to enjoy themselves when
it's your birthday and we're here we
want to have a good time so I'll put
that in there but you when you think
about it in television is it's almost
never right the first time M like they
write it and then they get the notes
from the executives and it comes down
with different so it kind of morphs into
something different and it's choices so
creatively if you make if you go okay
I'm going left here and they go but you
could have went right and you say yeah
could have did that but it was a
creative Choice M but they that example
if they don't give you that example of
what you could have did they don't know
why they're receiving
their while they're being paid yeah so
they give you that example and then the
artist change it and it just changes so
it makes me not creatively want to be a
part of the the writing process cuz it's
a it's a very tedious process you got to
know so many details about the story
before you get started that it's like
I'd rather feed the writer in
and be a part of the you know the whole
creative idea but let them handle that
part because there's so many changes and
stuff until it works then you start to
see less and less notes gotta as the
project gets more and more successful
you know but do you feel celebrated fif
I a ask about TV fif don't like love fif
don't like to get love no that's a skill
that's a skill Char see you I've been
doing this for a long time I answer how
I want to answer then come back and I
come back and I say what I want to say
so you looking you go no I do feel
celebrated even when you see the new
versions like when you see like Dirk and
these these other artists that come out
they have that um like the element that
is coming straight out of the
environment you know what I'm saying and
then you look like and this pure Chicago
what you what you get from them you know
what I'm saying so I'm looking at I'm
like and I was turned on to them so
early cuz I I remember I was crazy about
Chief Keef in the beginning yeah yeah
yeah when Chief Keef first came they
thought Chief Keef they just didn't know
he didn't know what they was talking
about he was like yo nah like what they
talking about he he know the environment
how to survive and function there and it
was in a whole new world with this this
actual business you know what I'm saying
but once you get a chance to to kind of
know them you you start to like them
because they're not like the the music
what the music is saying is not who they
actually are like that's and it's the
same thing with me too or you wouldn't
be able to grow past those points you
would just look the guy who does exactly
what I'm saying and does
is is that is not successful are you
doing are you doing another album I
heard that you might be doing one last
album and I heard you working on is that
any true to that yeah I started working
on some things like and is the last one
though it may not be the last album it
may be broken up into something that
goes out with one of the television
shows you see what I'm saying like but
creatively I just say now I want to do
something and I got all the vehicles
that I need to do I 25 television shows
so I could just put here's the EP
connected to this and Let It Rock
without having the pressure of it being
a full album and and all of that cuz
like look if you look when the last time
you seen the actual numbers on the sales
of a record like you see Kanye say put
it on some
device so you can't see the actual
number see the numbers right and that
that's because if you see the number you
go oh wait a minute you ain't as hot as
you used to be yeah you know what I'm
saying especially when you have a huge
successful sales record so they're
avoiding that number by putting it on
the device or or putting it through
title or through somewhere else so you
can't actually see what's happening with
it but the record they're bigger Stars
within the culture because they've been
here longer right and develop their
brand I don't even think it matter no
more Beyonce did what 300 something and
people be like oh this our lowest sales
we got I'm like she 25 years in I mean
this how many kids she got four three
Mar mared three married with three kids
and it's supposed to be the same sexy what
what
like I mean it's a a different energy
there and then our audience is grown it
grown folks you got look and say I I'd
say between 2003 and 2005 if you was in
college you my cor audience you know
what I'm saying because that's when you
having your adult experience for the
first time where you party in every
available moment possible and those
those people the material impacted the
hardest because it's the theme music to
their life at that point when it's
smoking hot it's brand new it's it's
just happening at that point you look
love music don't get old so Beyonce she
ain't going nowhere like she'll there'll
be a reason for you to want to listen to
Beyonce like you know what I'm saying
like it's just when you look at R&B
music R&B music require buttons at some
point you had to be a gentleman now if
you look up they got the same tattoos as
the hip-hop artist got they're saying
the same they're singing the lyrics the
hip-hop artist would say in in the verse
and what about gunit I see Banks making
his rounds I see Yayo on tour with you
yeah yeah I'll do a project in a
documentary when is that happening I
probably won't do a project with them
I'm done with with carrying them around
my back hurts I see y with you on
to Y is a different animal like if it
doesn't you know what he SE if he does
something wrong I don't care what what
magnitude of it is he'll look and he'll
go my
bad and I and you
go all
right and we just keep going to the next
time he does something wrong
that's the relationship right right that
is our relationship now when you look at
the like with banks all these other guys
they they are they came in by way of him
and they have a different temperament
it's not like it's not the same
relationship so I don't necessarily go
back to carrying them all the time like
you know yay he's is
different do you do you watch hold on do
you watch gunit interviews do you watch
like Banks interviews interview I see
some of the stuff that come through I I
saw he did something with flex I saw uh
um so you see the clips yeah not the
whole interview but I see pieces like I
saw something he did with your butt yeah
he gave you big props on that he said
that you made him a better songwriter
you improved his craft at that point I
wasn't doing nothing but writing nothing
but songwriting like if you saying if
you going I don't think you should be
have the best verse at 50 years old in
hip-hop culture I think the H part of
hip-hop is youth coach and and that like
we we love things that are like the
culture loves things that are have been
damaged by the experience and and you
can see no matter how harsh the
experience has been how beautiful the
art is in it like it sounds perfect when
you hear cardi B saying it oh it sounds
like something different and you know
what the the experience has been like
prior to that it's been a rough road to
get there like you going if if you don't
think that I I picked up specifically
because of the the the strip club and
that experience
every single one of those girls like
let's say about 60 or 70% of them would
like to trade places withi right now not
90 right so you and her the dream
happened in and it's like a year the
record work met the got married yeah
yeah yeah had a kids the whole [ __ ] just
came together like like in in one year
so I was like I'll point to that because
it's the beauty of our culture like we
save people and what about the
documentary because I think a lot of
people would love to know how it
happened like they see fifth they know
what happened but they don't know how it
happened yeah I would do it I would do
documentary on it and I think the if
there would be surprise from from my
perspective what it is like cuz you look
at it and you say like we'd have
communications I come in I told them all
I say yo look under the table they look
under the table and they got on l V and
Gucci and all what I'm saying do not
expect your your jit check to
come at the time they were being paid to
wear gunit nigers for rbk so don't
expect that check to come in the mail
again you know what I'm saying and then
this like JZ didn't give his his shoe
deal to he didn't give the uh the other
guys that was on Rockefeller the shoe
deal he was with basketball players
right and I'm like I could have just put
the shoes on the court or because I I
took the Stan Smith Adida to kind of
create what the Jun shoe was I could
have just went to
tennis you know what I'm saying and then
and made that cool like while we was
doing everything else and instead I gave
all of them the check the that fund that
was their Finance was coming from rbk to
PID them to do it and they was just on
Trend with what everybody else was doing
style-wise M doing that so I'm like I
don't expect that to come but at that
point I was telling them that they
needed to focus on their brand extension
and stuff and everything else because
I'm not gonna do it for you like to just
do it for you and it's it's not look I'm
not that much smarter than these guys I
just the time period that I had between
like 0 was 05 the massacre cuz at that
period look 03 from 03 to'
05 I was on a whole experiment like if
the girls was excited about me we was
going I don't I don't care who it is I
wouldn't even know it's a fuzzy it's
blurry to me who was there at that point
right now but oh five I was locking in
cuzz I was trying to understand what was
actually going on so cuz get rich took
off so fast yeah so I was in in the in
the hotels I'm on the phone with the
lawyer I'm saying so what does this mean
cu the terms and actual contracts are
written within legal terms that I don't
understand everything that's there and I
went through everything until I can know
enough to use my gut instincts on how I
want to do the deal meanwhile everybody
else is at the party this this non-stop
party that's going on that that they
missed all of the information and stuff
like that so when it came time for them
to secure keeping things going they
didn't do the same thing I did damn do
you you talk about writing did you only
write for for gunit artist cuz yesterday
I saw a a reference track for high Elite
yeah and is you is you doing I did
what's her name uh
uh six songs on that album right
everybody knows that and I I did on
what's her name I did Paradise for LL with
okay Mar yeah I wrote that and then
Shain did the the reference vocals and
then from ton and poke because it was a
familiar Loop they needed to have the
chorus on that toell you know I track M
used to do all of the joints over so to
to pitch that to LL you got to have a
full picture for him to see it when he
come in or he not gonna understand why
he's doing that that loop again you know
what I'm saying and we did that then um
few other pieces that I did uh F next M
oh F next I did the R&B group yeah what
what song was that I forgot which one of
the joints but I got a plaque for that
did next and I did [Music]
[Music]
um I wrote for puff but what you for
puff wrote for puff huh what what song
did you write for Puff the uh uh not
guilty and a filthy come on got not oh
uh take this money this money oh the um
gep joint you wrote that you got a big
plaque for that yeah
yeah I saw y said that you were supposed
to sign the bad boy yeah you know what I
was going back and forth and he just he
just look they knew I was talented they
just looked at it and was like ah I
don't want all of the stuff that comes
with him you know what I'm saying and it
took for me to to go around until uh to
M stumbled over it but he didn't know
the trouble that came with it you see
what I'm saying so I was like yo no this
is perfect like I wasn't even going to
say nothing to be to be honest with you
I didn't even address
them directly until uh like J had said
something about Haley M and they had a
relationship cuz they was getting they
had hung out together and got high
together J and M yeah okay so from there
like cuz he he felt like there was
something that there was closer than
they was based on that this is J so when
he when they got into uh we got to a
point he he had fired off and he said he
said some stuff about Haley and that was
just it I seen them was upset I said all
right I can do it now and I went in the
Next Room I was in Detroit and I
recorded automatic gunfire that weekend
wow because the F the first tape 50 Cent
was the future was the all of those
tapes that was one photo shoot in this
dude garage wow all with the white with
the red white and blue the white shirts
it was all three shirts we had we had a
green theme the red white and blue theme
and white t-shirts so I I want to go
back so you wrote higher the game
higher you wrote six songs off that
album higher uh this I'm automatically
think him this is how we do but his
verse was on that so when you see the
writing credit you think it's his verse
hat it or love it you see the writing
verse what else they look they said all
kind of stuff about like he said he
wrote what up ganger what up ganger yeah
I'm like come on bro he wasn't even
around when we did that like that was
before you even came into the picture
like that's Get Rich D try he he didn't
even come to after that yeah we didn't
even know who he was to after but
there's a I know there's a point where
desperation where you say anything like
this is how how to rob me at how to rob
yeah yeah Colombia you know what I'm
saying I'm like yo cuz after big in in
the Tupac thing artist was kind of
staying away from saying everybody's
name this is when they doing 23 bets on
winning them threats some syy Lex three
TV sets the minimum that's
Nas about Jay-Z in my lifetime you know
what I'm saying so there it was all
subliminal say everything I got to say
about you without saying it's for you
and let the The Listener go oh he's
saying this you know what I'm saying so
they were still doing that and I was
like I okay I'm say everybody's name cuz
it looks like I'm going back to the
neighborhood I'm going be subjected to
what the hood got for you anyway so it
just didn't matter it was like whatever
I'm going back anyway look like what
caused more drama how to rob or holy
crown the how to rob that really okay
you know it's IL the Quran look and they
just I the documentary thing came out
and I don't care nothing about that cuz
I know n
his the connection to that is there was
God body mhm you know what I'm saying
like that is his thing other than that
there's nothing else there you know what
I mean and you look and I go well what is
is
the they when they put the Quran they
they mentioned how many times that their
name were in records in the documentary
and it was cool every time that their
name was in records but they was upset
with the version that I did you talk
about the team do yeah it's they went
through 10 different different now for
people that don't know what the Holy
Quran is is is you talked about a lot of
the the the hustlers and queens yeah the
neighborhood yeah and I don't know if
you know but you know DJs would get beat
up for playing the record I didn't know
that though all day like if you played
it call be like don't play that record
yeah that's that's how crazy was back
there and they wouldn't say nothing to
me though they go no no you know like
when I seen him he didn't say nothing he
didn't have problem with the record then
he had a problem later when law
enforcement started to hold on to the record
record
and they're not holding the record
because of what I said on it cuz they
already got a separate homicide that you
sitting in here on they already got your
tapes and in the dope that you got
caught with in Baltimore so what they
really holding you to is the fact that I
didn't say nothing when I got hit so
they're saying he's Associated to this
thing with this kid and and this is the
this is why they keep bringing that into
this actual case remember all of the
snitch you a snitch you this is s that's
the worst thing you can be in the
environment that I come up in right
where the snitch at in the
documentary I'm not in that case so
there's no snitch there right there
nothing about nothing all he says is he
know me he know what what that was about
and what it is what that was about was
he got an idea and it ain't the same
idea I got mine's work
obviously do you understand what I'm
saying you like his idea is yo leave
them alone they are are
food cuz he eating off them like when
the when the Fe is saying
yo W he saying yo we beat the F you
never beat nothing you wasn't involved in
in
nothing they really washed you up to
make sure that they got him so you
couldn't help him financially yeah they
only put you in the case to eat you
he'll tell you he was two million in the
hole in the thing I think I I think I
heard that he said that on drink Chan so
why you two million in the hole is to
make sure you can't help him he went to
trial with a legal a that ain't never
had a hung jury no nothing these words
out of his mouth
you see what I'm saying I go see Biz I
go see cat and and Clinton C go yeah he
[ __ ] that
up he go I don't understand he was
supposed to have
both why he
choose you see what I'm saying like
going y'all from you from it like you
from there that auto that's automatic
and he going I understand that these
kids are trying to make death
row this is cat saying they trying to
make death row that's what they trying
to do with this with that but why would
you go against that to do
that when you know I have the resilience
to go against anybody like there's
nobody that's too Hill those are the
guys that you would choose not to go
against at that point it's in the
environment they got and it's not him
individually cuz everybody's greater in
their absence than they are in their
presence his or is stronger than he is
he ask him about the when he go get his
arm broke in the joint then they miss
that part he going say He Slipped fell
on the
mop yeah is there anybody 50 Cent fears
ever historically in life all of the
situations if you don't have fear then
you not then you just not acknowledging
danger all right at point I learned that
in the 50th law no yeah but you just you
just not you stupid then you not you not
scared of nothing you watch that guy
that just has zero fear and say yeah we
can get him he tough we going to have a
hard time chewing on him but we GNA get
him we get him like other than that you
just you got to pay attention to your
surrounding and things that's going on
like and you say never never saying the
toughest guy sh man I just I'm going to
do what I want to do MH and then if I
die in the process I was doing what I
wanted to do even the themes look it's
power to Dollar yeah I get hit I come
back get rich or die trying yeah right
and the proc cuz that's already what I'm
feeling like I'm going to do it I'm in
the process it's the greatest thing is
to watch me because either I'm going to
get rich or I'm going to die in the
process and this is what I'm going to
call a record so was the massacre you uh
projecting all the pain you felt on
everybody else I was supposed to go but
that album was supposed to come out
February 8th supposed to be the St
Valentine's Day masc they pushed it back
because we was doing too good with games
record and I'm like yo like you got to
think in scope was when East Coast West
Coast was going on in the scope was the
West Coast yeah so there is some
uncomfortability with me being from the
East Coast yeah that I'm not even
conscious of initially I'm going like yo
they like yo they love that they're
doing extremely well like that but
they're going damn why we can't have one
like from
here you see what I'm saying like from
Dre's perspective is why why we can't
have one from the West Coast like that
and it's it's that's the assignment so
when game started moving he was like
wait wait wait fif to build that like
once that that record is out and it's
selling they're going wait wait we don't
want to cut the leg off of this MH and you
you
going but that's rearranging my
presentation what I'm doing so now I
wouldn't have uh I wouldn't have um
given him things that was so good if I
felt like it was going to alter what I'm
doing you see what I'm saying like I did
my first record so fast like the second
record my attempt at the first record
went was done in the weekend so this get
rich no the the second Massac the
massacre and that that attempt that was
done in the week turns in the games out
you regret giving game all those record
say do you regret hat it to love it this
how we do look look it's just the way
things are and when I look I don't I
um who hasn't helped other artists and
haven't had it reciprocated properly
like that's with every everybody like
you know what I'm saying even with Kodak
you see him jackboy the things that
these guys come together like I'm
talking to he go yo but I didn't know we
was going to go through that we it's too
hard like it's too hard to get here for
us to go through that I said but n
that's the same thing as what we
experience we looked out for like when they're
they're
not right under you because they're in a
different area it's easy to persuade
them like this is also how Jimmy
henchman felt this is what Drive what
what how game was behaving because he
also had his whole management team is
going yo you don't need them you from
you got a whole Coast you got the whole
West Coast like you don't got to be down
with them when he's I just gave him the
record yeah yeah yeah you know what I'm
saying and then they oh he flips out I'm
like oh okay but it is a reflection of
you see how the Jimmy henchman thing
turned out like it turns into real
Street stuff you know what I'm saying so you
you
going he was feeling that way long
before game said anything you know what
I mean and then then it just was like
yeah full on we could do everything
thing we want to do vice versa because
Chris really his issues was with Chris
with Chris Lighty that's why I don't
like James Cruz why I saw his interview
too yeah I don't like I don't like him
at all like CU he's a sucker like the
whole time he was like he was still
going to go see Jimmy hanging out
meanwhile Jimmy is getting mic Lighty
cut in the back of the head and
everything else and shooting and
everything else is going he's a punk
like when you see people that like they
just fearful of we said respect come
from admiration to fear MH one of the
other right his respect for Jimmy comes
from Fear so he's a sucker in my eyes
you know what I'm saying and then he
does all of this talk about things that
went on with Chris Lighty that I'm like
yo why you even talking about what I'm
doing or what came from me you you was
like you were in the meeting you didn't
actually make no deals Oh I thought he
said he managed you at one
point he was working for Chris
Lighty so you in there as Chris Li's
assistant why yall doing what you doing
in the deal and when did you
you ain't never had no agreement with me
to manage me in any way or any capacity
so when he say that it it it irritates
me MH you know what I'm saying and then like
like
later he's just he's a sucker I didn't
understand why Chris wanted him around
you know what I'm saying like when the
shooting happened with with uh Lil Kim
out front Dr he him yo come out from
behind the red car they got
us that's what he was doing you know
what I'm saying I'm like why is this s
around us get him
a and the Christmas was like like
dealing with him cuz he had a you know
like a background he because he had a
radio background he always looked like
he should get a a piece but if you
getting the best deal for me why you
feel like somebody should give you a
piece M that's the way I look at it I
look like if you go to somebody else and
say yo you should give me a watch or you
should give me this that's that was his
thing you know what I'm saying and I'm
like but if you asking him for a watch
then you feel like you gave him a deal
that then you didn't get me the best
deal if you if he owes your watch for
the deal
you see what I'm saying and then it's
like they they act like they don't
understand why I don't like it between
Diddy and Cruz I don't think you'd have
worked on Bad Boy F I don't think it
work think it been terrible but you know
look at that point I would have probably
did the deal see it was no other like at
that point look when I was when I
was Jennifer is who told puff to work
with me Jennifer Lopez Lopez okay cuz
she her first album on the six Cory
Rooney was the executive producer Cory
Rooney was my executive producer for
power of the dollar so we had the
relationship from Queens and everything
coming out that that put us in the same
circles and then Jennifer was telling yo
he is dope you work with him like he's
gonna it's gonna eventually it's going
to happen you know and then puff that's
what puff was calling me down the do it
but Puff can't even hear hit see I know
he can't he couldn't Puff can't hear a
hit that's kind of crazy fif he still
hear things from back then that time
period oh got you got you now okay okay
okay you he can't buy he can't you play
it for him right now and it's hot he
can't buy it this is why he fighting
Drake and he hit Drake cuz he used the
beat that he didn't actually use 100
right you see what I'm saying so if he
like he heard it and then he he Drake
used it but it wasn't a hit yet until
Drake put the thing the the lines on and
he's upset about that because you can't
hear it but he felt like he took
something from him and he you know did
something to him for that but that's
just did T Maria ever pay you owe your
money yet she still owe me my
money how much is left that she owe I
think it's like 50 something thousand
now I thought it was 25,000 yeah and it
keep going up because she keep delaying
and moving around like the she going to
feel like she went to college man it's
clearly the principal with you cuz it's
not the money so wa why but why though
because I have to set examples so people
don't keep coming to play with me see
look this is Lisa Bloom I don't see see
I don't think
you but I don't think nobody plays with
you they say me too I say not
me I tell people all the time you see
what I'm saying CH when they say me too
I said not me I'm not involved with that
so when she comes she was upset because
I said something about Trey mhm Trey s
had a situation that was going on one of
the girls that was around in the actual
house said nah he didn't hit her that
particular situation he didn't hit her
that he put her out the house but the
way he said it and he did it made her
feel like
she felt like he slapped her right and
that's wild later she she said that he
hit her and and I'm like because the
other female that I knew that was there
said that to me I was like N I don't
believe he did that and then she was
like don't be uh what she uh Shaman the
girl that um one of her clients or vitim
sham victim shaming one of her clients
and I'm like no no like I'm not victim
shaming I'm just saying I don't believe
her and then the next available thing
that she could come with she was oh yes
yeah jumped on tiarra Marie thing
because she GNA come she going to
service me right she going because the
climate is is all me too that when you
bring a female and you said that you've
done something you see what I'm saying
they feel like oh yeah he yeah you're finished
finished
buddy and then when it don't work out
they think it just goes away see you
can't say I'm p no it does not you see
you see when they say I'm that was a
great I understand I understand exactly
why he's doing that 10 times worse I get
it 10 times worse cuz they would hold it
to you yes and then you know what they
would do to you like just based on those
circumstances like you go it end your
entire career mhm and you go so that's
what you was attempting to do at that
point or you wanted she she said to her
friend I'm trying to get the bag you
know what I'm saying I'm like oh okay so
now I'm going to make you feel like you
went to college why K Osiris are you
going to help me get into acting he want
to do some acting what's name said he he
was up here he said you was supposed to
sign put him in power
asking you to put him in power or
something a good he a personality I
think it's bigger personality than than
artists like as far as a songr and stuff
like that cuz when you watch him like
when I see him on the the clips and
stuff like that no he like that in
person too it's a ton of Personality
there so you know we find the right
thing can get him in there he um EnV
tell him the story tell him the story so
we talking about rumors right and we you
know when you Google his name there's a
rumor that pops up that he was did boy
toy oh [ __ ] right wait so this is so
Charlamagne said it's not true but I
told after he bought up the stuff with
you I said you know what 50 going to say
when he meet you oh no I don't know that
that was going on you know I can't wait
to running into him again what you going
to say to him puy was playing with your
Miami you know it was in
Miami yo look that's what James Cruz
used to say all the time Miami Miami
he's like Miami I'm like what's what you
talking about Miami goodness what
happened in Miami we play the audio play
the AIO man I miss man wor with it
still you know we just been but come
here you know say to you when he see I
heard touched your
button yeah wait till I see
him wait till I see him I'm like yo yeah
you and you and Diddy got a good
relationship though right yeah I like
you see I got Quincy's in raising Canan
oh that's true oh yeah yeah yeah y y
that boy talented and and I want to get
uh Justin in something how did that go
do you and he have talks about that or
he stay out stays out of it n we don't
even talk about that we more it's more
that's about his talent though that's
not about like he read he read for that
he killed it you know what I'm saying I
think like and I called him to tell him
that like this ain't got nothing to do
with your daddy it's really about the
work you put in you know what I'm saying
it's right now now why did you pass on
jcole before that's before we get to the
new stuff why' you pass on jcole that
was so early bro like like this is before
before
like I think
look there's a difference you know I
think when at at that point we didn't
have a lot of representation on on the
street in like we were the
representation at that point and you
know they're they're cringing for
something else that's whatever it is
that is repr but to me
jcole um Kendrick Lamar
Lamar
um these artists existed early on when I
fell in love with hip-hop M but it was t
quality yeah it was most death trial
Quest yeah it trial Quest it was like it was
was
uh T most common
sense you know what I'm saying and they
really as dope as they are like they are
it's like it's smarter rap smarter music
the logic can sit down be
humble we supposed to already know to
sit down and be humble but when they
they put that there it's
it's almost the conscious side of mhm of
it and I looked and I'm like yo now I
was cool but I didn't really know if
everybody was ready for it because of
how strong they was embracing what we
was doing the street stuff that's all it
was I got a lot of people say that the
when you and Kanye went head up and and
that's what that was that shifted when
you sold when you sold more it shifted
from the street streets to doing when
you do look they just wanted that anyway
look look at the best new artist 13
million records on the first out you got
to have a double CD and die to go
Diamond Tupac All Eyes On Me Yeah prior
to my album coming give it to die try
you had to have a double CD and die yeah
big too I think life after to death
those are the only two albums that that
sold that many copies so when you come
and and and you having that much
success you would see
uh Diana Ross was on on the award panel
saying you don't have to be like this
like you don't have to be like like
they're afraid their kids going to want
to be 50 Cent if they acknowledge the
material so they don't give you the
trophies I got the checks I didn't get
the trophies like Jay got all the
[ __ ] trophies man that's cuz he
signed that contract what contract the
one with
Beyonce no if you don't sign you don't
give him a trophy she ain't
coming shut up they need them in the in
the seats now come on you know the
Beyonce r down on you once fif come on
she did she did word she jumped off the
thing off the ledge I was like oh [ __ ] I
didn't really know what to do and look
it was one of the situations where he
was like whoa now look if you say this
to Jay if you say this to Jay in his
face he'll look at you and
go n that that happened so Beyonce
jumped down on you she jumped down she
was like on a window sill right we was
in Vegas she said come on I'm talking to
her she jumped out she was like and I'm
like wait what is you
doing that's St that's me and JayZ stuff
this ain't got nothing to do with you
girl don't come so wasn't there me I'm
talking to Jay soon as I talked to Jay
she jumped down came over I said old
[ __ ] look at this they about to jump you
you lucky Salange wasn't theread yeah
you lucky was was there I would have had
reboot like she popped in that elevator
like it was nothing was some gang and
[ __ ] going on a so couldn't do nothing
huh what so what the be say or she was
just staring at you nah she came like
she was ready like so thought something
was going to happen and I'm like yo whoa whoa
whoa
whoa she throwing me off now cuz I don't
know what exactly how to responded
it you are still
Beyonce you know she brought all of the
sexy over with that jumping off and I'm
like what the [ __ ] was going on I
thought uh oh uh oh uh uh oh I'm seeing
all this [ __ ] stuff going she going what
is this gu I'm like wait what happened I
look at Jay he
go n you tell but y'all knew each other
for years you had you had the uh the
Thug's what I want yeah yeah the thug I
got chance to work with them that's the
caption you know that Beyonce Back 50
down you know that I thought people knew
that story people oh she did jump down I
didn't even know how to respond to that
I just looked at Jay he was looking he was
was
like I said y all right whatever I don't
know what the [ __ ] because we really I'm
just saying what's up M but she feeling
my energy come over cuz we do say things
about each other it's competitive nature
that's it hip-hop how you it's not like
you think I want to do something on we
don't want to do nothing to each other
y'all got a good y still got y' got a
good relationship right you Ando yeah
yeah if you look I think if you don't
have if you don't have people that
you're competing with I don't know where
you get your additional energy all right
all right no you're right now speaking
speaking of
Houston Tycoon we it's Renee Rene is
weekend when they Tex me 36,000 times
Tycoon weekend now break down what is
Tycoon weekend for people that don't
know Tycoon for it's really it started
in Atlanta a a did it the first time we
did it in Atlanta then we moved it to
let me break it down so in Atlanta they
rented a mansion and a residential area
and had about 5,000 people come in that
residential area white people walking
their dogs and we just brought the hood
to I mean I don't even know how you did
that yeah it was like a real a real show
that we did like a show everybody
Chrismas there everybody
came we did that then the next day was
the pool party thing and it went over I
we got away with that CU then nothing
really nothing bad happened resulted in
just a great time then in New York we
did it again but we did it attached to
the premiere the power premere so we we
sold the garden was sold out and we did
the cuz I had all of the everybody
coming out to to do some performance and
stuff at the same time time so we did
Tycoon around it and and that was at um
bar barold in Jersey and then um we
surrounded a bun tried to surround more
events with it like uh PF 115 and and a
bunch of other stuff and then the next
time like this time in Houston it's so
many locations that it makes it made
better sense to build out a whole
weekend M and so I took the Toyota
Center and um The Comedy Music Festival
I added the comedy show to it and then I
but um like musical acts in between each
comedian keep the room the Hoban going
and then the uh the same way the DJ
would play music in
between instead of that we're getting
the actual Live artist there and then
when the proceeds to that will go to uh
G unity and into uh HISD oh so you don't
even make no money off it that's charity
that's from entrepreneur the
entrepreneurship program in in uh
Houston I did three schools first is uh
Whitley Worthing and cashmir MH and um
I'm spanding it to six schools and then
the proceeds from the show will probably
fun uh me being able to do even more so
probably probably be nine schools but
that by at that point we out of the hood
because we don't GNA run out of the hood
spots and then we we in everybody else's
neighborhood with the after school
program the entrepreneurship program is
doing extremely well it's when you put
uh when you bring the kids together and
you tell them you got to come up with
your idea m to be successful because
it's their idea you see how much more
passionate they're about it and then
when they get to the point that they
sort out the because they're providing
the information for them how to develop
it and then they going so what you need
now and they said well we need money and
then they go well okay well here's how
we fill out your job
application when you do that 75 kids 69
of the 75 kids were
employed because it's not even your idea
it's my idea I need the money so I can
pay for my idea Wow versus you saying yo
go get a job they're like no I don't
know if I want a job
cuz it's too much you know what I'm
saying until once they put their thought
into what they actually want to do and
they become passionate about it they get
into it they actually want to make it
happen so it was able to get more of
them motivated to do do some different
stuff why you like Houston so much you
know what my experience in Houston it's
just been kind acts for people from
Houston like I've had a good time
several times that I went out there and
made me like it and then the taxes yeah
no state taxes yeah because I'm looking
in New York and all I is a Yankee hat
bro so all they gave me was a Yankee hat
what and they want 58% now you go so
more than your partner Lord have mercy
I'm like wait a
minute I could
have no wonder Puffy's touching that
butt in Miami he stupid see he's paying
those taxes he put He has more money
because this
Miami that's what
happens that's what happens bro now you
do think about it you like man you know
how much money we could be making if we
was in not New York yeah it's a
different thing like it it's just look
and and y'all syndicated so many places
that y'all can just move the show to
let's take the show to
Houston don't give us no idea to Miami
I'll be in South Carolina you know what
I mean up for real he said that straight
like that I'll go to Houston in a minute
for that when's the weekend when's that
weekend it's August 25th through the
28th okay a couple more questions you um
how how have you been able to maintain
relationships with people even though
you have said things about them like the
Dr Drees the Jimmy iin like like Dre had
you at the Super Bowl I don't think you
know Jimmy I will walk by you at a game
like he you know what I mean like you
know still look when you say when I say
things like I'm really talking about the
the true experience I'm not saying
anything about them that's a lot like
you know what I'm saying like then I'd
be upset you you know I mean then maybe
this person can't speak to you when they
see you because you said something and
you like you lied on them but if if you
you said f Jimmy aen on a record on a
mixtape yeah because he gave examples he
gave examples that it's okay as long as
it makes money oh got you okay to
disrespect you so it's okay for game to
say everything that he said because he
was still a earner he's still bringing
in money and this is the example that
you gave me because he brought me that
and said if can can you fix this if if
you fix it I I'll give you like break
the deal up and give you the the half of
the money and then when when the
disrespect comes in there and it's like
it's almost a Fear Factor because of the
association of the Jimmy henchman thing
add that to it because that kept them
from not not doing the project you know
what I'm saying and then there's a it's
a whole different different thing but in
that example of you saying he can say
all of that and look if he signed the
gunit direct like the other artist
was with that kind of disrespect you
don't have a record deal you don't have
music coming out
MH instead because it was a joint
venture there was still no control
factor and it continue to put the music
out so it was like you're letting me
compete with me so you can make money
right the artist that comes from the
material that I just created that that
made it sell 5 million pieces is now a a
legit comp for me when how about the
label when you're delivering something
that's Pro 50 c you're delivering
something that's anti aren't you telling
the DJ is okay to say whatever you feel
how about it but bro I heard you [ __ ] on
TV networks and then get a deal from the
same TV network because they don't care
about they're not one person the network
is a conglomerate there's multiple
people there like when you say this
person is an
idiot it's an idiot but you said that
before yeah like this person you're
talking about this person not the entire
organization and you go if you when the
project working on projects no this is
true like these people have issues like
you got people that have cool jobs that
weren't necessarily cool people on the
way there m and they get there and they
dealing with their own issues their own
energy there like H looking for they
want to be seen as the CEO like the guy
who actually made it happen and I get in
the way with that because people look
and say 50 mate that's 50 show M MH you
see what I'm saying so you get that
energy only is there if that's a
conflict anybody that doesn't doesn't
care about that is is going to be like
are we watching stars or not anymore you
you said I thought it was subscrition
yeah no 50 Cent programing for 6 months
that's what I thought it's get ready
come back ra all so I get my
subscription back I want make sure we
was off star you say off star so don't
think it's going to be what it was what
it where it was headed because I won't
be loading everything else on to it what
they have there would have be there and
then the new stuff that I have like I
took the the uh the massacre the snoops
or it was the case there the different
things off of the platform because it's
like n I'm doing too much for the
platform if you go look when I didn't
receed the aa's connected to the success
that I was having in music I focused on
the actual sound scan this is when
artist started talking about sound scan
correct and everything else because I
was like yo now look cuz this is the
actual stats the ACT actual this is what
shows you the general public actual
response to the material when I'm not
receiving the accolades connected to it
in television I started o marketing more
over marketing like I became the Stars
Network so it was more visibility and it
make I said I'm outperforming the shows
that they are giving the N to so they
see we're doing bigger numbers than
those shows right and then eventually
they have to look the the issue is a
tougher issue to work through because
what we working through is diversity and
be like they're looking and the system
does have this cookie cutter mentality
that feels like that this is the way you
make a hit yeah and you can put people
with different eth ethnic backgrounds
and Lead roles into do big numbers you
can't tell those stories and this is
what power proves and these other
projects when you see Empire at Fox and
then snowfall and stuff like that
whenever you just see people that look
like you in lead roles it's showing you
that that's their they're saying Fox was
saying this is our
power ire the same the other network is
saying this is our and and it's only one
at a time for them you know what I'm
saying you look look at how when you see
the the young Talent like uh Lil meech
or Michael Rainey or Mai Curtis for
raising Kanan when you see them out in
the on the in the club run like in the
nightclub you never seen actors on that
circuit that's right you know what I'm
saying like that was this is really the
first time that they're making a
connection and it's because they're
connected not only
to to having a hit show but they're
connected to music culture by way of
yeah I don't think us I don't think
people realize what you're doing at
stars like I don't think people I don't
think people realize how unprecedented
that is like how much programming are
you responsible for over there like 50%
well yeah they would say 50% of of it
and it's like probably 80% of what the
viewership is into wow at that point
youst they you supposed to get you
supposed to be an executive up there
something looking at like this two track
percentage look and they going if you
going with the confusion everything that
you see me talk about being upset about
are things you don't see anywhere else
like you don't see other networks having
the television show leak yeah you don't
see you know what I'm saying like when
they talk about a programming for
uh specific demographic then you go uh
like those Go premium women day mandate
when you do that you go okay well one
well that ain't what your hits
are cuz power wasn't premium woman and
all four the the spin-offs are not
premium women so now you're saying you
can't have the hit that you had to be
that's drawing people here because you
just created a new mandate that's away
from the success you're having right and
I'm going wait so it's this can you
explain that to me a little further so I
understand exactly what it is cuz I can
produce what you need I just just got to
understand exactly what it is because
what does when you see me in variety or
the rap or Hollywood Reporter and stuff
like that that does nothing for my phone
goes further than The Hollywood Reporter
in in Veri I could just post on
Instagram absolutely right so when when
you think about what those things do
those things speak directly to business
inside it says if you have this project
and you want to sell it you should come
to 50 so we can sell it and I get
additional things but but I can look at
these things and see if they work for
the network when you understand the
Mandate you know what I'm saying so I'm
going I can find what you need if what
you want and bring it in and produce it
for you if you don't if there's a uh on
this Clarity it's clear but they they looking
looking
and using it for their own identity I
don't I hate mandates especially when
you've given a network four or five
shows that work yep create more of those
type of shows yeah but they take common
sense it doesn't take it doesn't take
anybody to come up with some like
Einstein yeah to be involved say gotta
go too by the way oh my bad yeah but if
you make a hit you want more of a hit
you want more of that energy more that
that with service that base that would
keep them com and you see the network is
continuously growing but in in in
exchange I've seen them do things for
vanity like they'll pay more for look
first of all their premium woman mandate
is premium white woman because since
then the only thing that they've created
was uh the the Juliet Roberts gaslit and
and uh Courtney Cox was it uh I don't
even know the name of that joint that
[ __ ] watching pink
PE the worst [ __ ] ever bro like because
it's like oxymoron it's almost like a a
a horror comedy hard to make me laugh
when I'm
scared you know what I'm saying like
it's hard to do both at the same time so
I didn't know what really what they was
trying to do with that one but you know
well you better do the right thing cuz
you know I there's no reason to watch
Stars if uh if progam is on that's just
a fact we appreciate you for joining us
talk to fif forever August 25th out in
Houston I'll be out there host the

and we'll see you ra Kanon coming soon
that's right August
14th 14 right 14 and want is it true
they asked you to be on the murder ink
duck no they they want what's her name
who the uh to try and clear I get money
for the Supreme thing oh okay okay
somebody told me they asked you to be on
the dock the dock did you clear it no I
have I don't need that [ __ ] out of here
