0:00 What's up, YouTube? It's your boy AP.
0:02 Welcome back to patch 3.26. Today, I'm
0:05 covering how different variants of spark
0:07 have been impacted by the recent patch
0:09 notes. We'll start with poison spark,
0:11 move into archade spark, and finish off
0:14 with the possibilities of an
0:15 elementalist spark. I'll also lay out my
0:18 content plans and what you can expect
0:20 from me going into the new league. All
0:22 right, poison spark. Poison spark made
0:25 it through the patch notes completely
0:27 unscathed. We've got some nice power
0:29 creep with the free mercenary, the
0:31 option to use an animated guardian, and
0:33 whatever new crafting options pop up in
0:35 the league. I haven't released a league
0:37 starter guide for poison spark yet, but
0:39 that's going to change in patch
0:41 3.26. The next few days, I'll be
0:43 dropping a full league starter plan.
0:45 We'll begin as Pathfinder Peacon
0:48 Bouncing and transition seamlessly into
0:50 Poison Spark with nearly identical
0:52 passive trees and gear. Both builds are
0:55 strong offensively thanks to Poison's
0:57 ramping nature paired with two of the
0:59 best applicator skills. Defensively,
1:02 Poison builds scale so efficiently that
1:04 there's plenty of room to fit in solid
1:06 defensive layering. I've already tested
1:09 this setup thoroughly. Ran it through
1:11 three private leagues last patch. So,
1:14 here's the plan. First, expect a
1:16 standalone Peacon Bouncing League
1:18 starter guide. then a full guide
1:20 covering the transition into Poison
1:22 Spark for Endgame. All of this coming
1:24 within the next few
1:26 days. Let's talk about Boot.dev, today's
1:29 sponsor, and honestly one of the most
1:31 fun ways I've found to learn backend
1:33 development. It's basically a coding RPG
1:36 where your journey comes with XP,
1:38 quests, levels, achievements, and even a
1:41 global leaderboard if you're feeling
1:43 competitive. I've been diving into their
1:45 Python track myself, and the experience
1:47 has been awesome. The team behind it
1:49 took inspiration from modern game design
1:51 to keep you engaged and actually
1:53 progressing, not just grinding through
1:55 theory. The lessons are hands-on. The
1:57 challenges feel meaningful. And
1:59 everything is built to prepare you for
2:01 the real world coding interviews in a
2:03 legit backend dev career. And here's the
2:06 thing, back-end developers in the US
2:08 average over 100K a year. That's a real
2:11 highdemand career, often remote. And
2:13 boot.dev dev gives you the tools to
2:15 break into the industry the smart way.
2:19 You can try all their content for free
2:20 in guest mode, and if you upgrade, it's
2:23 100% risk-f free with a 30-day, no
2:25 questions asked, refund. So, if you're
2:28 serious about leveling up your skills,
2:29 check out boot.dev and use my code anime
2:32 princess for 25% off your first payment.
2:36 Now, let's talk Arkade Spark Hierofant,
2:38 which got hit with a number of changes.
2:40 The Ark Made's support gem was nerfed
2:43 slightly, 15% less damage, but that's
2:46 honestly inconsequential. It still adds
2:48 a ridiculous amount of flat lightning
2:49 damage. To put it into perspective, on
2:52 an endgame mana stacker with 6,000 mana,
2:54 which is very achievable, arch mage adds
2:57 960 flat lightning damage. Compare this
3:00 to awakened added lightning at level
3:02 five, which adds around 400. You can see
3:05 that it's still over twice as powerful
3:07 as the next best gem option. A lot of
3:10 support gems were also buffed, including
3:12 Spell Echo and its awakened counterpart.
3:14 10% more damage and 10% reduced mana
3:18 multiplier. Pinpoint 6% more damage and
3:22 10% reduced mana
3:23 multiplier. Arcane Surge support now
3:26 adds 10% more damage. Important to note,
3:29 we have to separate the support gem from
3:31 the Arcane Surge buff. Hierofant only
3:34 gets the buff unless you also socket in
3:36 the support gem. The buff itself lost
3:39 28% mana regen, but gained 10% cast
3:42 speed. So, it's harder to sustain mana,
3:44 but you do gain more
3:46 damage. Now, for the bad news, the
3:49 Sanctuary of Thought Ascendency node was
3:50 gutted. It no longer gives 25% increased
3:54 mana reservation efficiency. Thankfully,
3:56 this is not a big loss. It doesn't
3:57 affect the Arch Mage build at all, but
3:59 it also lost the massive 50% less mana
4:02 cost, and this is a big deal. Instead,
4:05 it now grants 1% mana regeneration per
4:08 second. That is a significant buff to
4:11 regen. We go from 1.8 to 2.8% base
4:15 regen. And all of our increased mana
4:18 regeneration as well as flat mana
4:20 regeneration is going to be 55% more
4:23 effective. But here's the issue. With
4:26 higher mana cost, inspiration support
4:28 becomes significantly worse. Inspiration
4:31 charges, which are the damage portion of
4:33 this support, expire after spending 800
4:36 mana. With our new higher costs, we burn
4:39 through that quickly, losing the damage
4:41 benefit. We're only left with the
4:43 reduced cost portion, which is no longer
4:45 worth it. So, if we drop inspiration
4:48 entirely, we're now losing around 85%
4:50 less mana cost both from the ascendy and
4:52 the gem, which makes archade spark way
4:55 more expensive to run. Can you still
4:58 make it work? Absolutely. You can lean
5:00 into something like Indigon, embracing
5:02 the high mana use, or you can use
5:04 Lavanga Spirit Flask to negate mana cost
5:08 completely. Alternatively, you can just
5:10 invest extreme amounts of mana regen to
5:13 compensate. There will be good arch mage
5:15 builds, but they're probably going to be
5:17 a little bit clunkier.
5:18 Now, smaller generic nerfs are the
5:21 elemental mastery resistance inversion,
5:24 which is now 15% was 25% previously. As
5:28 spark, you can still use a mercenary to
5:30 reduce boss resistances with Doriani's
5:33 prototype. So, this nerf is more than
5:35 compensated for in the short term. Leech
5:39 mastery instant leech is knocked down
5:41 from 10% to 5%. This affects a lot of
5:44 builds, but Spark handles it well due to
5:47 its frequent multi hits. I still
5:49 recommend taking it. It's overpowered on
5:51 Spark. As for crafting changes, the
5:54 hybrid projectile speed plus damage mods
5:57 have been moved from amulets to glove.
5:59 What did this mean? No more mirrored
6:02 focus amulets with 100% projectile
6:04 speed. However, thankfully, you can
6:07 substitute this mod with either cast
6:09 speed up to 80%. Or a whopping 280% mana
6:14 regeneration. So, there are some really
6:16 good alternatives here. It's more of a
6:19 side grade than an earth.
6:22 Have any of you guys watching the video
6:24 discovered any spicy new spark tech in
6:26 the patch notes? Drop your weirdest idea
6:28 in the comments. I want to see it. Maybe
6:31 I'll implement it myself. And I guess
6:34 that segus into the question, will I
6:36 also be making an archade spark league
6:39 starter? I do want to release some form
6:41 of elemental spark starter, but that'll
6:43 come after the peacon and poison spark
6:46 content. Will it be arch mage? Maybe.
6:49 But there's another option that looks
6:50 really interesting, which is
6:52 elementalist spark. This one's shaping
6:55 up really well. So, the buffs here are
6:58 Shaper of Flames now converts 40% of
7:01 enemy physical damage to fire on ignite.
7:04 This helps solve Fizz mitigation issues,
7:07 especially when we crit swap and apply
7:09 flat fire, which is easy to do with an
7:11 Abyssul. Shaper of Winter no longer
7:14 increases chill effect. Instead, enemies
7:16 chilled by your hits deal less damage,
7:18 equal to half the chill effect, around
7:21 15% reduced damage taken. It also
7:23 increases your damage to chilled
7:25 enemies, acting sort of like a 15% more
7:28 damage
7:29 multiplier. Transfigured righteous fire
7:32 gives us 25% more cast
7:35 speed. Golems, uh, you can run four or
7:38 more golems for some strong buffs. The
7:41 lightning golem is going to give us
7:42 around 30% cast speed. and a massive
7:46 flat 54 mana regen. Ice Golem gives 120%
7:51 crit chance and flame golem is going to
7:53 give upwards of 80% increased damage. We
7:56 could make use of a stone golem to scale
7:58 our defenses. There's a ton of potential
8:00 here and we'll dive into it on stream
8:02 once the peacon and poison spark guides
8:04 are
8:05 out. Now, a final note to leave you guys
8:08 with. If you're into spark, you should
8:10 join our Discord server. We've got more
8:12 than 5,000 members, most of them spark
8:14 enjoyers. Some seriously sick builds are
8:16 already being theory crafted, and
8:18 sometimes I'll share my stuff in there
8:20 first. Hope you enjoy the video, and I
8:22 will see you guys in the next few days
8:24 as the content starts rolling out.
