Always expect the unexpected, like three
rain delays during the second round and
a rookie leading the charge here in
Boston. Let's run down what happened on
Saturday because this week has been
eventful. I'm Hope Barnett and you're
watching LPGA Now presented by Surfpro.

I never played in college, but I'd
imagine any kind of team setting or otherwise
otherwise
>> Wow.
>> But not for
>> Yeah. So, the pot on number seven, the
par five. Um, I was really just trying
to get close to the hole. I didn't
expect that one to go in, but uh,
apparently this week I've been reading
the greens pretty well and the speed was
good. So, it just happens, you know,
like happens to us out there like some
sometime it happened you make a super
long putt and it's just it's just a
really great timing cuz um, I was trying
and her last on this hole. She just
keeps rolling.
>> So, this is your rookie year and you are
leading by three going into the final
round. You haven't been in this position
before on the LPGA. So, tell tell us
that aren't professional golfers. How
does that feel and what's the mindset
going into Sunday?
>> Um, I really like what I did today. I
was uh focusing on my game and do the
basics. um get my swing right and uh
read the green, get the speed right. I
was really zoomed into doing the little
things and I uh I hope I continue to do
that tomorrow and uh just focus on the fundamentals.
fundamentals. >> Yeah,
>> this is a well struck shot. It's a
pretty good line slightly left of the hole.
I think coming out of winter quarter,
you know, I took 22 units um kind of
took a toll on my body and then I had
neck spasms on both side of my
shoulders. So, um as a result, you know,
I just I was 2 months immobile, barely
moving. Um obviously that doesn't help
your golf game cuz you can't even walk
properly. Um, but I will say like I
think the the patience and the
dedication that it takes to come back
from all of that. And then also I
expected myself to play well right out
the bat of post injury. Um, obviously
that's very unrealistic and it kind of
messes with the mental a little bit. Um,
but that's kind of the the struggle that
I've kind of endured. Um, but I think
now it's like, like I said, as simple as
it is, sticking to the process and
making sure you're getting little bits
of positivity in there. Um, it's
something that's kind of new to me. Um,
but I feel like I've been at a really
good trajectory and I'll be able to keep
late in the day. They'll be able to
watch the group ahead running along
trying to finish Ken Park second at the

>> Oh, slingshot engaged. Hey,
>> and that is how it is done.
>> A great start is now a perfect start.
Oh, she did pay that off. Really beautiful.
