So Claudebot has taken the internet and
YouTube by storm and honestly rightfully
so. It's one of the first AI assistant
that can actually do things, not just
talk. But there's something very
important to understand right away.
Claudebot is not for everybody. This
isn't just another AI chat tool. It runs
on your machine. It connects to real
systems. And because of that, there are
serious security and responsibility
considerations you need to be aware of
before installing it or using it. So, in
this video, I want to slow things down
and explain this clearly in a very
simple way. What Claudebot actually is,
how it's different from Claude, the AI
model by Entropic, who this tool is
really for, what it can do, and why it's
such an important signal of where AI
assistants are heading. All right, let's
get started. All right, so I'm on the
website for Clawbot. It's just
claude.bot. I'm going to put the link in
description of the video if you want to
just click on it. It'll take you
directly here. By the way, this is an
open-source project. Uh, so you can
check out their GitHub. Again, feel free
to play around there. But right away, as
you can see, the first thing you see is
this line, the AI that actually does
things. And that's really the core idea
here because most AI AI tools that we
have used so far are really great at
talking. You know, they answer
questions. They help you think, write,
or plan, but it kind of stops right
there. Cloudbot is different because
it's designed to take actions, not just
respond to you. Now, here's where it
already starts to feel a little
different from most of the AI tools.
Cloudbot actually runs on your own
computer, whether that's a Mac, Windows,
or a Linux machine. So, instead of
logging into a website or a dashboard
like you would for chat GPD for
assistant, for instance, you're running
an AI assistant that lives close to your
files, your browser, and your tools.
That's why if you've seen other videos,
a lot of people are using Cloudbot with
a Mac Mini because they want to
basically run that as a true assistant
individually on its own machine.
Essentially, instead of learning a new
interface, for instance, you actually
talk it through the apps that you
already use. So things, you know, apps
like WhatsApp, Telegram, iMessage,
Discord, Slack. So you're not using
software in a traditional sense. You're
messaging an assistant almost like you
would message a coworker for instance.
Right? So now before we go a little
further, I want to quickly clear up
something because some people I think
they're a little confused uh about
mixing Claudebot with Claude, the AI
model from Entropic. So the way you can
think of Claudebot is it can use Claude
just like it could use other AI models
like models by OpenAI or even locally
run models as well. So you could think
of these AI models as the brain. It's
intelligence that helps with reasoning,
writing, and thinking. Claudebot is not
an AI model. Claudebot is the system
around the model. So, a simple way to
think about this is Claude can think,
and Claudebot lets that thinking turn
into action. That's why Claudebot can
use Claude or other AI models, but it's
not competing with them. It's giving
them memory, tools, and the the ability
to actually do work. Now, this is the
part where I want everyone to pause for
a second because this is also where
responsibility comes in here. Since
Clawbot runs on your machine and can
connect to things like your email,
calendar, browser, files or scripts,
security really, really matters here.
[music] You're deciding what it can
access. You're deciding what permission
it has. That's powerful, but it also
means that this isn't something you
should just install blindly just because
it looks cool on Twitter or AX, I should
say. At this point, this is one of the
reasons I keep saying that this is not
for everybody, right? So, if you're
comfortable with a bit of a setup,
understanding permissions, and thinking
carefully about what an assistant should
or shouldn't uh be allowed to do, then
this can be absolutely incredible. But
if you just want, you know, quick
answers, ideas, or writing help, a tool
like clog by entropic or chat GPT on its
own is more than enough for you. Now,
one of the reasons people are so excited
about Cloudbot is this idea of long-term
memory memory and skills. So, think
about it this way. Instead of starting
from scratch every time, the assistant
can remember context over time and build
up capabilities almost like a long-term
teammate instead of uh one-off chatbot
that you would have a session like uh
chat GPT. And this is also why some
people actually refer to Claudebot as uh
true Jarvis from Iron Man. Uh if you've
seen my Jarvis video actually where I
built an assistant using NAND and I did
this a while back. This is one of the
most popular videos on my YouTube
channel. I've done several version of
this versions of this. I'll put the link
in the description if you want to check
it out. So this is kind of the same
concept but taken further. This is
always on persistent and integrated
integrated directly into your day-to-day
tools. Because when I built the Jarvis
with naden which is a no code automation
tool, I had to basically manually
connect different uh apps like my Gmail,
my Google calendar, my CRM um together
and prompt the agent like almost one by
one to tell it to what to do. So
Cloudbot is basically that on steroids,
right? because you just interact with it
with natural language and because it's
connected to your local machine and it
has access to your the tools that you
use, it can do all of that
automatically. And this brings me to a
bigger point I want to leave you with.
So cloudbot isn't important just because
of what it can do today. It's important
because it shows actually where AI
assistants are heading. We're moving
away from these one-off chats towards
actual systems, right? systems where
models, tools, memory, workflows, and
guard rails kind of work all together.
Now, again, this is just the beginning.
More tools like this are going to come
out a lot more. And my advice is
honestly, if you chase every new tool,
you will stay busy, but not necessarily
productive. Now, the real skill is
learning how to design AI systems. So,
when a tool shows up, you know exactly
where it fits or whether you even need
it at all. But again, with that being
said, Cloudbot is absolutely incredible
and I think there's going to be a lot of
fun things that people are going to use
this to build. So, make sure you keep an
eye out. And of course, if you are
interested in building AI systems for
real use cases or businesses, check out
my community. I'm going to put the link
in the description. That's where we
teach you how to take these tools
whether it's NAND AI automation uh cloud
by entropic anti-gravity by Google and
combining them together to build real
system that businesses are actually in
need of and therefore you can monetize
these. So check that out. But anyways,
hopefully you found this video helpful.
