Getting the wrong 3D printer can be one
of the most frustrating mistakes you'll
ever make. You might spend hundreds of
dollars, unbox it all excited, and then
realize it doesn't do what you wanted,
or it's way harder to use than you
thought. I've been there. Staying up
late trying to figure out why a print
failed halfway through, or why the first
layer just won't stick. The truth is, 3D
printing doesn't have to be that hard.
The key is just picking the right
printer for your needs. So, before you
click that buy button, watch this whole
video. I'm breaking down the top five
best beginner 3D printers for all
budgets. Starting from number five and
counting down to the one I think is the
absolute best choice for most people.
Whether you want to print in multiple
colors or you just want something simple
that works every time, this list will
make sure you buy the right machine for
your setup. By the way, my name's Chris
and this is my 3D printing sanctuary. If
you like 3D printing, you're going to
love this channel. Let's start with
number five, the Creity K2 Pro. This
printer is a monster. It's big, fast,
and has multicolor printing right out of
the box. What makes it special is how
far Creality has come. A few years ago,
they were known for budget printers that
needed lots of upgrades to work well,
but with the K2 Pro, they've stepped up
into premium territory. This printer has
a Core XY motion system, which just
means it moves smoother and faster than
the older beds designs. You'll get
cleaner corners, better detail, and
faster prints. The K2 Pro also has a
massive print volume, way bigger than
anything else on this list. That means
you can make helmets, armor pieces, or
full-size cosplay props without slicing
them into tiny parts. And one thing I've
noticed is how good Creality's mobile
app has become. You can resize your 3D
models, monitor your prints, and control
the whole machine right from your phone.
It reminds me a lot of Android. You have
tons of freedom, customization, and
settings to tweak. When I first tested
the K2 Pro, I printed this huge dragon
statue that took almost the entire print
bed. It came out great on the first try
and that's when I realized Creality
wasn't playing around anymore. For
people who want a large printer with
multicolor capability in a modern
ecosystem, this one checks a lot of
boxes. It's also great for people who
love to tinker since Creality's
ecosystem gives you a lot more control
than other brands. So, the pricing on
the Creity K2 machines is a little
spendy, but guys, you get every single
thing with these machines, but it's
around $1,000.
Coming in at number four, the Flash
Forge AD5X. This is what I like to call
the budget multicolor beast. You can
find it on Amazon. It's fairly priced
and it's surprisingly capable for what
you pay. It's not as polished as the
higherend machines, but once you dial it
in, it can produce some really solid
results. When I first tried this
printer, I didn't expect much. But after
setting it up and getting through a
couple test prints, I was impressed. I
printed a multiolor logo for my workshop
wall. Two colors, nice clean lines, and
it looked awesome. The AD5X has a big
print area, so it's great for people who
want to make larger pieces or
decorations. Now, it's not all perfect.
The software can feel a little clunky,
and sometimes you'll run into bugs or
small issues that take some trial and
error to fix. But, if you're willing to
put in a bit of time learning how it
works, it's a great way to get into
multiolor printing without spending a
ton. I'd say this printer is for people
who want to learn and grow with the
hobby. You'll make mistakes, but you'll
also learn a lot. And here's a little
tip for beginners. With printers like
the AD5X, your first few prints are
probably not going to come out perfect.
Don't let that discourage you. It's
completely normal. 3D printing has a
learning curve, but once you get your
settings dialed in, it's incredibly
rewarding. And the current pricing on
the Flash Forge AD5X is $359
on Amazon. And again, I'll throw links
in the description. Now, at number
three, the Bamboo Lab A1 Mini. This
printer has become one of my favorites
for new users. It's the budget version
of the full size A1, but don't let that
fool you. This thing is powerful. It's
fast, it's quiet, and it's capable of
multiolor printing when paired with
Bamboo's AMS light system. When I first
got my hands on the A1 Mini, I honestly
wasn't sure if it could live up to the
hype. But after printing a few small
models for my daughter, little toys,
figurines, even some keychains, I was
blown away by how smooth the prints came
out. The colors looked perfect, the
details were crisp, and I didn't have to
mess with any complicated settings. The
only real downside is the smaller print
size. Once you start printing more and
experimenting, you might wish you had a
bit more space. But here's the cool
part. You can always split large prints
into smaller pieces and glue them
together later. I've done that plenty of
times, and the results still look
amazing. The A1 Mini is perfect for
beginners who want a simple
plug-and-play experience. You can
literally set it up, load some filament,
and be printing within minutes. It's the
kind of printer that builds confidence
right away cuz it just works. And the
current pricing for the Bamboo Lab A1
Mini is $1.99 without the multiolor
unit. And yes, I know you're thinking
that's super super cheap. And yes, it
is. But guys, the multicolor, I promise
you're going to want it. The pricing for
that is $3.29 USD currently. Now, for
number two, the Eliguous Century Carbon.
This one's what I like to call the work
truck of 3D printers. It doesn't have
the fancy multiolor setup, but it's
built like a tank. It's enclosed fast
and incredibly reliable. I've had mine
running all day printing functional
parts like brackets, mounts, and tool
holders, and it just keeps going. The
enclosure helps maintain consistent
temperatures, which is a big deal if
you're printing materials like ABS or
PETG. It's a Core XY machine, too, which
makes it smoother and more accurate than
older beds printers. The biggest thing
to know is that it's single color only
for now, but Aligu has hinted that they
might release an optional multiolor
system later. If that happens, this
thing could be an absolute monster in
the budget category. I think of the
Centauri Carbon like a dependable pickup
truck. It may not have all the shiny
tech features, but it'll get the job
done every single day without giving you
headaches. I've run long prints on this
thing overnight, and when I check in the
morning, it's just done. Perfect layer
lines, no spaghetti mess. It's a
workhorse through and through. And the
current pricing on this Enturi Carbon is $279.
$279.
This is extremely crazy for a Corxy 3D
printer. Probably one of the cheapest
you can find, guys. It's It's absolutely
crazy. I'm going to keep saying it. This
is a true workhorse. And finally, number
one, the Bamboo Lab A1. This is the 3D
printer that changed the game for
beginners. It's multicolor, it's fast,
it's quiet, and it just works. The setup
process is almost too easy. You take it
out of the box, follow a few steps on
the screen, and you're printing in
minutes. No endless calibrations or
confusing menu settings. The Bamboo
ecosystem is what really makes it shine.
The printer, the app, the slicer,
everything works together like one clean
system. I remember the first time I
printed a fourcolor model on this thing.
I just sat there watching it switch
colors automatically, and I couldn't
stop smiling. It's wild how much easier
3D printing has become. The A1 gives you
that plug it in and go experience that
most beginners dream of. And for the
price, it's one of the best values out
there. Sure, there are cheaper printers,
but nothing gives you this level of
quality, color, and reliability
allin-one. It's the one I recommend most
to anyone just getting started because
it makes 3D printing feel effortless.
And the current pricing on the Bamboo
Lab A1 3D printer, the A1 Barebones with
Alta AMS unit, is $279.
And with the AMS unit, it is $379.
So, here's the bottom line. If you're
brand new to 3D printing, don't just buy
whatever looks cool or has the most
reviews online. Think about what you
actually want to print. If you just want
something that works perfectly right out
of the box, the Bamboo Lab A1 is your
best choice. If you're on a tighter
budget, but still want multiolor, go
with the A1 Mini or the Flash Forge
AD5X. If you'd rather have something
strong and simple that just runs
non-stop, the Elgu Centauri Carbon is
awesome. And if you want to go big with
full control and a huge print volume,
the Creity K2 Pro is a beast. No matter
which one you pick, the key is to start.
You'll make mistakes. You'll have some
failed prints. And that's totally fine.
That's how everyone learns. I've been
there. We've all been there. But once
you get that first perfect print, you'll
understand why people fall in love with
this hobby. It's not just about making
stuff. It's about creating something
from nothing. And that first time your
printer finishes a model perfectly,
you'll be hooked for life. Hopefully,
this video helped you figure out the top
five best beginner 3D printers and gave
you a better idea of which one fits your
budgeting goals. I'd love to hear from
you in the comments, so let me know
which printer you're thinking about
getting or drop any questions you still
