hi everyone welcome back and in this session
session
as you can see we will be having an
overview of minitab
which is the software that we will be
using in this
program or in this course for our data
analysis part
minitab is one of the famous statistical
tools that is being used by industries
and organizations
when it comes to data analysis
especially in lean six sigma projects
now let me walk you through on the basic
parts and
functions of minitab so as you can see here
here
i'm highlighting the columns the working
space is more of
a worksheet type but unlike excel you
cannot do
any manipulation inside this worksheet
so this works in columnar format
meaning for every column you should put
the same
type of data now in terms
of the other parts this is
the output session window the output
session window gives you
the results of any analysis graphical
and statistical analysis that you will do
do
inside this particular interface now
the basic commands in excel like
ctrl s for save control new for
new window or new worksheet
ctrl x to cut ctrl c to copy
and ctrl v to paste are still applicable
and executable
here at the minitab interface now
you can see here the file where you can
create new worksheets you can save your
workbook or your worksheet
you can see here edit the basic edit commands
commands
you can see here data so in the data
command or data tab what you can see is
more of manipulation of worksheets and
manipulation of
data including changing of data type
in calculator or calculator function we
have the
calculator itself and some column column
and row statistics and making pattern
data using random
random bases so you can do your
data simulation here uh we have the
major two functions
first is the stat where you can see all
the statistical tools and techniques
coming from basic stat regression
anova doe control chart quality tools
reliability and survival analysis
multivariate analysis
time series tables nonparametrics
equivalence tests and power and sample sizes
sizes
um and then we have graphical so
graphical tool will be the basis of
and the core function that we will study
inside the yellow belt module
this is the scatter plot we have the
matrix plot bubble plot marginal plot
histogram that plot and the list goes on
and on
but we have prepared some selected tools
that we think
are very important for you as a yellow
belt practitioner
and we also have the view function the
help and then the system
so this is how it looks like our meetup software
