0:40 correction staff members accused in a
0:42 plot to beat up a state inmate and
0:45 covering it up. Clark appeared in Bon
0:46 Court this morning.

1:07 charges ranging from battery on an
1:09 inmate to failing to report a use of
1:12 force on an inmate to perjury. The
1:14 alleged incident happened back in April.
1:16 The victim, Christopher Castro, is an
1:18 inmate at Dade Correctional Institution
1:21 in Florida City. Castro was allegedly
1:23 taken from a shower to meet with
1:25 Lieutenant Clark, but was instead
1:27 brought to an area without cameras,
1:29 placed in a holding cell, and beaten
1:32 while cuffed. This is a photo of Castro
1:34 the day after he was beaten. Clark
1:36 allegedly got another inmate to clean up
1:38 the blood left behind and lied to
1:40 another lieutenant who was taking over
1:43 her shift. All but Clark and Anguin are
1:45 accused of taking part in the beating.
1:47 and all of them are accused of lying
1:49 about the day's events to investigators
1:51 and failing to report it. The Florida
1:53 Department of Corrections said in a
1:54 statement, "All of these staff members
1:56 were dismissed as quickly as
1:59 administratively possible. FDC does not
2:01 tolerate inappropriate conduct towards
