0:42 conversation changed from
0:44 congratulations to can you give me some
0:47 baby weight loss tips can you uh tell me
0:49 how to bounce back I've just had a baby
0:50 I need to lose the
0:53 weight they started to ask me are you
0:55 concerned about losing your body are you
0:56 concerned about losing your abs and the
0:59 impact of that on your business well if
1:02 I wasn't scared then I am really scared
1:06 now so I was pretty fit I was a
1:09 gladiator up in the air in aerial events
1:11 doing combat in the air with my angel
1:14 wings I was a coach on The Biggest Loser
1:17 many years transforming people to lose
1:20 sometimes 50% of their Bo body
1:22 weight I am a six Dam black belt cookie
1:24 onean certified martial artist in
1:27 Taekwondo one of the highest ranking
1:28 female martial artists in the world for
1:32 my age I thought jeez pregnancy I've got
1:35 this I ain't got
1:38 this no I didn't have it at all
1:39 all
1:43 I my body took to pregnancy at 8 weeks I
1:45 had to announce that I was pregnant cuz
1:47 I had such a big bump I could not uh
1:50 hide it any longer I was very ill as
1:52 many women are in their first trimester
1:55 very sick but for me the sickness didn't
1:57 pass I expected that I would be able to
2:00 continue to work continue to film
2:02 Fitness videos and do what I loved
2:04 continue to exercise and inspire people
2:07 but I was so ill I couldn't even drive I
2:09 couldn't exercise I had launched my
2:11 business 2 months before I got pregnant
2:13 and I had two months worth of fitness
2:15 videos and content to service my
2:16 business in the
2:19 can and my business was starved of
2:21 content and it was
2:24 dying and to make matters worse I was in
2:26 and out of hospital for the whole 9
2:29 months so ill it was the hardest time of
2:32 my life I put on 30 kilos and the only
2:34 thing that helped was this new food that
2:37 I discovered an exotic food some of you
2:39 may have tried called sausage
2:43 rolls and they taste
2:45 delicious especially when you're
2:47 pregnant and particularly when you have
2:50 three in a row so I was living on
2:51 sausage rolls perhaps it was the salt
2:53 content I don't
2:57 know and I have trained many women all
2:59 sorts of women women who are at home
3:04 with babies celebrities corporate women
3:06 and all of them had the same common
3:09 fear fear about their body changing in
3:11 pregnancy it wasn't about raising a
3:13 child and the responsibility there it
3:15 wasn't about the labor and how that was
3:16 this was going to come out or what was
3:19 going to happen there it was a fear of
3:20 their body
3:24 changing and I was fearful
3:28 too 11th of September my baby was born
3:31 his name's Arnold Arnold came out with a
3:32 shock of blonde hair and his daddy's
3:35 blue eyes and he is just beautiful and
3:37 the whole nine months of being so sick I
3:38 didn't care if my business never
3:41 recovered I had
3:44 Arnold day five I'm still in hospital
3:46 here I'm in that I'm leaking from
3:50 everywhere my milk's coming in I'm
3:52 feeling all the feels the hospital isn't
3:55 serving sausage rolls I'm not coping I
3:57 haven't slept for 5 days since the baby
4:00 was delivered and you know you're in a
4:02 lot of pain you're uncomfortable and I
4:05 thought I'm I have thousands of members
4:07 on my online fitness program who have
4:10 supported me for 9 months I'm going to
4:12 announce that Arnold's here I took a
4:14 picture I put it up on Instagram
4:16 Arnold's here the messages that came
4:18 back congratulations but we didn't
4:21 expect this from you all the messages
4:24 were about my body about a postpartum
4:26 body and how shocking it was to see a
4:30 postpartum body you're not bouncing back
4:34 you haven't lost your baby weight yet no
4:40 still I got
4:42 home I'm trying to
4:45 navigate what to you do with a newborn
4:47 my husband's gone back to work and I
4:49 started to think as a fog
4:52 cleared about the dangers of a bounce
4:55 back I'm a trainer an expert one of the
4:57 best in the world I know what it takes
4:59 to get physical transformation it takes
5:02 depletion and a deficit more exercise less
5:03 less
5:06 calories and time away from your baby
5:08 was I willing to sacrifice that time
5:10 away from my baby was I willing to
5:12 sacrifice less calories and my milk
5:14 supply my priorities were feeding the
5:17 baby and looking after myself and
5:19 preserving the relationship with
5:22 exercise I love exercise it's fun I knew
5:24 if I fugged myself punish myself deprive
5:26 myself right now that I would damage
5:27 that special
5:30 relationship I chose not to bounce back
5:33 I chose Arnold I chose our family I
5:35 chose my relationship over myself in the
5:38 fourth trimester I chose healing and
5:39 recovery and
5:42 self-care and that was hard because I
5:45 made the mistake 5 days after of
5:48 checking my email and on my email there
5:51 were already publicity requests for
5:53 magazine shoots bounceback photos
5:56 befores and afters when is the first
5:58 time we can book Tiffany we can book the
6:00 set photographer Wardrobe when will she
6:04 be ready for a bikini and I'm
6:06 thinking not
6:10 yet I don't want to bounce back guys and
6:13 women were contacting me I want to lose
6:14 my baby
6:16 weight I feel the pressure to bounce
6:18 back how are you going to do it how fast
6:20 are you going to do it and the pressure
6:23 was mounting and mounting and mounting
6:25 until one day I
6:28 thought I'm going to do something for me
6:29 my husband had been at work and be at
6:31 home with a baby and anyone who's got a
6:34 newborn nose days are long and it's 3:30
6:35 in the afternoon I thought I'm going to
6:37 treat myself I'm going to do something
6:45 shower so I feed the baby both sides
6:48 burp the baby calm the baby get the baby

7:14 building and I feel like I'm drowning my
7:16 husband comes home from work and I show
7:18 him the picture took a shower today
7:23 shaved one leg good D good good D took
7:26 this photo Ed I said this isn't someone
7:28 who's going to get a Fitness business
7:30 back it's
7:34 over my body is broken it was so weak my
7:37 pelvic floor my core everything I could
7:40 feel all my muscles I thought this is it
7:42 I don't see how I'm going to find the
7:45 time or even want to bounce back quickly
7:49 to get back on camera this is it and Ed
7:51 said well I think you've never looked
7:53 more beautiful look at the guy in the
7:56 background look at what your body did
7:59 and I thought yeah look at what my body
8:02 did look at my beautiful son and with
8:04 that confidence I thought okay guys
8:06 you're going to get your before and
8:08 after and I put this out on
8:11 Instagram before Peak physical condition
8:13 I was training all day and I realized
8:15 that's extreme but I wanted an extreme
8:17 contrast to show what your body's
8:20 capable of what matter can
8:24 do before and after I put it out there
8:25 there's your before and after I'm not
8:26 bouncing back deal with
8:31 it and women contacted me it went
8:35 viral TV radio Podcast everywhere I was
8:37 walking down the street people would
8:39 stop me thank you so much for putting
8:40 that picture out there I'm thinking when
8:42 did a postpartum body become so
8:45 shocking you know I was so sick of
8:47 seeing images during my pregnancy of
8:50 celebrities posting flat stomachs and
8:51 God knows what they were
8:54 doing 4 weeks after having a baby before
8:58 their safe six week check it really got
9:01 to me so I continued to put out
9:04 postpartum photos of me with Arnold look at
9:05 at
9:07 him we had a little hiccup at 6 months I
9:11 broke my ankle try weight not weight
9:13 bearing and holding a baby I got really
9:15 strong on one leg it was very hard at
9:18 that time but I didn't give up I just
9:21 kept going consistent consistent slowly
9:23 but surely and the pressures kept
9:26 mounting but I kept saying
9:30 stop at 8 weeks I got back on camera but
9:33 in my new body I talked to my members we
9:35 did some activations we did some
9:37 contractions and gentle stuff you know
9:39 this is where I'm at you can come with
9:42 me but yeah I don't look like I used to
9:44 this is me 15 months
9:47 postpartum I chose to take it slow and
9:51 it's not a sexy headline woman slowly
9:55 carefully takes her time to lose 30
9:59 kilos and prioritize self-care and
10:03 healing and recovery and her milk supply
10:06 and her baby versus woman bounces back
10:08 in 3 weeks and loses all of her baby
10:12 weight I get it but I didn't
10:15 care how do I do it I ate energy foods I
10:16 stuck to a breastfeeding friendly menu
10:19 plan that was on my business I shifted
10:21 my mindset from exercise to simple
10:24 movements activations contractions
10:26 connections feedback through the pelvic
10:29 floor all of this I took my time in
10:31 building building the foundation I knew
10:33 that if I didn't build the foundation
10:34 then I would do something one day and I
10:37 would get injured I focused on the fit
10:40 not the fat loss I threw out the scales
10:42 I said to my husband here's the scales
10:43 and he went and hid them or maybe he ran
10:47 over them I don't know what he did but I
10:49 ditched the scales and I started to set
10:51 myself little fitness goals let's try
10:54 and do a push-up one on your niece let's
10:57 try and activate the T-Zone I took my
11:00 time and I focused on self- Lov and
11:02 acceptance say hey your body's amazing
11:04 look at what you've done I know that if
11:07 you hate yourself to change it's not
11:09 going to last self-love it is
11:12 sustainable I found experts I connected
11:14 with them not only with qualifications
11:16 but with experience and I tried to
11:18 trigger that parasympathetic nervous
11:20 system as much as I could as a
11:23 mom as a working mom even you don't get
11:26 me time there's no time for me time but
11:29 I found me moments a couple of deep
11:32 breaths putting my feet in the grass in
11:35 the backyard a bit of sunlight listening
11:37 to a meditation when I could sleep these
11:46 through so did I get my bikini body back
11:48 well it was all about the bikini body
11:49 wasn't it are you going to get your
11:53 bikini body back yeah yeah like here a
11:55 few months ago I put a bikini on and I
11:58 went for a swim at the beach and I was
12:00 yeah in a bikini anybody fine but what
12:02 was most important to me was finding my
12:04 functional body being able to do a
12:07 flying sidekick again working my pelvic
12:09 floor so that I could do that a
12:11 functional body was so important and it
12:13 was never about the bikini body for me
12:15 it was about having my baby body and I
12:17 love my baby body and sure I've got
12:18 loose skin in my stomach it will never
12:20 be the same again there's nothing you
12:23 can do about that I've got wider hips
12:24 I've got stretch marks and my body's
12:26 changed but these are memories of my
12:28 baby that I want to carry every day and
12:31 I love it and I want women to take the
12:33 pressure off I don't want them to feel
12:36 like they have to bounce back fast
12:39 prioritize self-care and take your time
12:41 there is no
12:44 pressure this is me recently we're in
12:45 one of the most beautiful locations in
12:48 the world byon Bay and we're filming
12:49 with the global movie star Chris
12:51 Hemsworth and you can see that Arnold is
12:55 very unimpressed by both those
12:58 things and this is the moment where I've
13:00 just come offset filming Fitness videos
13:04 with Chris and I realize I didn't bounce
13:08 back I bounce forward I feel so much
13:11 stronger not just in my matter and my
13:14 body but in my mind I prioritize
13:18 self-care and I feel amazing so I want
13:19 to leave you with a quote from my
13:22 grandmother before she passed away she
13:25 said self- love it's like good bread
13:29 needs to be baked fresh every single day
13:31 and every single day I get up early the
13:33 time of a baker cuz that's when Anie
13:36 gets up and I put my apron on like a
13:39 cape and I start baking some days I nail
13:41 it and I get a fluffy baguette other
13:43 days I burn the toast but as the selflove
13:45 selflove
13:48 Rises I start to feel a little bit
13:51 better and if you prioritize that
13:54 selflove then every day is what you bake
