0:07 I'll make an example for you a couple of
0:08 them and then we will we will
0:28 chat
0:44 okay so I gave you a few examples
0:47 there the first example I would noo it
0:51 immediately
0:52 why yeah it was not it was not the pace
0:55 I want you to shoot so what we want to
0:56 do here is flip over and do reactive
0:59 shooting which which means every time I
1:01 see the site where I want so I just that
1:03 red dot flashes down back onto that
1:05 White Spot I'm staring it I react
1:07 immediately pull the trigger and send
1:09 that shot now the first example I gave
1:11 you that's what a lot of people want to
1:14 do is where they'll shoot the gun comes
1:16 down they settle the site make
1:18 everything look perfect pull the trigger
1:20 super carefully and then shoot try to
1:21 shoot as accurately as they can it's not
1:24 what I'm asking you to do I'm asking you
1:25 to shoot reacting to the site
1:27 immediately does that make sense to
1:28 everybody
1:30 all right now previously when we were
1:32 shooting doubles I would call that
1:34 predictive shooting meaning we're
1:36 shooting so fast you cannot see the site
1:39 come down for the second shot React to
1:42 what you're seeing and pull the trigger
1:44 like it's too it's happening too fast
1:46 all right you cannot consciously react
1:49 does everybody agree with that now why
1:51 would we shoot that
1:52 way get two on the target
1:55 is yeah right so yeah it is faster for
1:59 sure somebody says selfdefense yes like
2:01 a lot of times guys shoot very quickly
2:03 in those situations and for competitive
2:05 shooting you yeah you have to shoot that
2:07 fast um the reality is predictive
2:10 shooting like that is a very very good
2:12 Training tool like when you shoot really
2:14 aggressively you see what's happening
2:16 much much sooner is that fair to say
2:18 yeah that's why we started with that now
2:21 if you're I mean this is a competitive
2:23 shooting class as you went through that
2:25 drill you'd get some idea of what your
2:28 capabilities are how many of you would
2:30 feel comfortable doing aggressive
2:32 predictive shooting in a match or a
2:34 scored setting from this red line I
2:37 would say yeah the whole group probably
2:39 and then what about the Blue Line in the
2:42 back that would be like yes for most
2:44 guys are like ah I don't love that
2:46 anymore exactly that's why you go
2:49 through that so you understand what your
2:50 capabilities are and it's like when you
2:52 look at whatever the shooting scenario
2:53 is you know what you can do I'm totally
2:55 comfortable with you pushing past what
2:57 you're push past what you're capable of
2:59 and be like oh okay that wasn't good
3:01 like that's fine like maybe you run out
3:03 of steam 10 yards further back that's
3:05 fine too the predictive shooting is a
3:08 very very good Training tool so you can
3:10 learn how to shoot better like I said
3:12 and now we're flipping on to reactive
3:14 shooting Okay now what's going to go
3:16 wrong with reactive
3:17 shooting same [ __ ] exactly the same [ __ ]
3:20 yeah stare at the site they ride them up
3:23 you flex your hand or push down on the
3:25 gun they're going to go left low low
3:26 left whatever it's the same the same
3:28 stuff will be wrong this is again this
3:30 is why we started doing the predictive
3:32 shooting like way faster you can see it
3:34 way
3:35 easier right yes
3:37 sir your split time between predictive
3:40 and
3:41 reactive is there like a a fair
3:44 percentage what what it should be I
3:46 don't know about percentage but I'll say
3:48 um like let's say you shoot 15 16 yeah I
3:52 would say there's no way that that's
3:54 reactive so no no way that's your
3:56 predictive speed let's say let's say 15
3:58 16 split don't it won't it won't really
4:01 work out cleanly like that because it's
4:03 like depending on the this the gun
4:05 you're shooting and how fast your finger
4:06 is like there's some guys that just have
4:08 very fast fingers and or guns with very
4:10 little travel so they can essentially
4:12 like bump fire the gun and get it to
4:14 shoot very quickly um I would say
4:17 reactive shooting is like a quarter of a
4:18 second a third of a second it'll look
4:20 more like that and that'll and it that's
4:22 not dependent on how fast you shoot the
4:23 predictive shooting does that make sense
4:26 like they're they're not really
4:27 connected in that
4:28 way is a good
4:30 that' be that'd be pretty quick and if
4:32 you're we watching what I was just
4:35 doing uh I think these splits are right
4:37 in
4:38 that yeah these were a third of a second
4:41 third
4:42 yeah anyway does that make sense to
4:46 [Music]
4:51 everybody
