Hello and congratulations on completing
the 5day AI agents intensive course with
Google. On the fifth day, we announced
the capstone project where you'll have a
chance to apply everything you've
learned by building your own AI agent.
And by participating in this capstone
project, you will earn a badge as well
as a certificate of completion. Once
you're inside of the competition, this
is what you'll see for the agents
intensive capstone project. You'll see
there's an overview page, writeup
section, which we're going to talk about
in detail, and some other tabs.
So, this overview page is your guide.
everything you need to know in order to
be successful with this capstone
project, including the m the the
timeline, the description of the highle
work that you're going to tackle, prizes,
prizes,
features to include in your submission,
and the evaluation process.
This video focuses on two concepts. The
concept of a team and the concept of
writeup. So, as you start working on
your project, you will make a decision
about whether you're going to work by
yourself or you're going to work in a
team. So, if I jump over to the team
tab, you can see that right now the team
is just me. You can add three more folks
to a team. Um, anyone that you want to
add to your team, they will need to have
joined the competition. So, they'll also
have to receive an invite to join. So,
if I try to add say Polong Lynn cuz he
is awesome. Well, I can't add him yet.
He hasn't joined the competition. But
once he has, I'm going to go and try to
grab him and get him on my team. So um
very important point you as an
individual can only participate and
submit on one team. You can't work on
multiple teams. So um in this case maybe
it's just going to be me. I am the team
leader. I'm not going to invite anyone
else. So I'm a team of one. Um so now
what I want to do is then work on my
writeup. This is what you'll actually
submit for the capstone project. So if I
go into writeups,
you can see in work I have something
that's already in progress in progress
which is called agent shutton which is a
sample submission that I created. So for
you what you're going to do is you're
going to say new writeup
and then you're going to give it a title
agent whatever helps denote what this
project is about. And then you'll add a
subtitle up to 140 characters. And
you'll notice as I'm working through
each one of these sections, the
submission checklist is going from X's
and order to to check marks.
Super important. I could go ahead and
save this draft, but I cannot submit
this write up until I have all of these
um X's turned into check marks. So, I
have my title,
the subtitle, there's a thumbnail image
that helps um provide some graphic
information to your project.
You also submit select a track that
you're going to um work in. So, for my
particular submission, the sample
submission that I'm going to walk
through, I'm working on concier agents.
And then you'll see there's a media
gallery, project description, and some
attachments. So I can go and hit save
draft, but I can't submit right now,
right? So I'm just going to go ahead and
save my draft. That's what it looks like.
like.
Let's go and look at one that's nearly
completed. So here's my agent shutton
sample submission.
Um, this is what it looks like in
preview mode. If I edit it, here's its title.
title.
the subtitle. And then I've also added
this card and thumbnail image. I used um
Nano Banana to create this for me. You
use Gemini, whatever you want to use um
to create your graphics. Um I've also
added a couple other items to my media
gallery. So this is an architecture
diagram. Um your thumbnail also shows up
in here. And I also added a video that
helps explain what this project is about.
about.
You can see off to the side I've check check
check
on the submission track um I have
selected contair agents under project description
description
you have uh approximately 2,000 words to
describe your project this is all in
markdown um so you can preview I
encourage you to use some type of
markdown editor VS Code or whatever um
in order to do your work there and just
copy and paste it over preview and Um,
Um,
the details of what you need to put in
this project description are all
outlined in the overview page here.
So, I have title, subtitle, card,
submission, but you see down here
project links, which is an X. So, if I
come down,
you can add two types of project links.
you can add um notebook files uh that
you worked on inside of the notebook
environment um or and which is what we
uh strongly suggest is add a link to a
publicly accessible git repo. So here
I'm going to go and jump over to the
repo that I built for my project
and go ahead and paste this in and then say
say
shutton repo
and hit insert link. And then boom, all
six of these are checked. Title,
subtitle, card, submission tracks,
project description, links. I'm ready to
go. Now,
you can submit as many times as you want
up until the deadline on December 1st.
So, I go ahead and hit submit.
This is what it looks like, right? I can
see everything.
Now, if I want to come back, I can come
back and say, "Hey, I want to go ahead
and retract the submission." Um, retract
it, keep working on it, and then go
ahead and hit submit again.
So, that's what you need to do. Um, good
luck. If you have any questions, please
post them to the Discord. Be happy to help.
