out if I can do what this can do but for
free or at least as close to free as
possible I'm going to put this thing up
against a 000 Flagship all the way down
to a $100 phone to see what are you
really getting for your money in this

it all right so the plot AI possibly the
thinnest Tech I've like ever seen this
is actually pretty cool what you can do
with it you can either use it in a MAG
safe case or just like raw doging it if
you really want to how it works is you
record your meetings lecture whatever
and it will automatically generate a
transcription and a summary in the app
the transcription and summary is
surprisingly accurate possibly the most
accurate I've seen so far it also tags
speakers pretty flawlessly as well now
with the subscription you can select a
bunch of different templates for your
summaries so it's a perfectly
appropriate format for whatever the
recording is the subscription also uses
chat gbt 40 the latest greatest version
instead of the free version which is 3.5
it also has a mind map which I find not
useful at all but it's it's there it's a
pretty seamless and simple way to I
don't want to say not pay attention but
to make sure you don't miss anything all
right so this is a pixel 8 Pro you can
pick it up for around
$900 yes oof indeed yeah I have a review
for this 8 Pro on my channel if you want

pixel can do transcription and summary
so um I guess the video is over I
figured it
out okay but it's not like it's not that
simple though it can do transcriptions
and they're pretty accurate there is a
summarized button yes but this 20 minute
recording it said it was it was too long
and it couldn't do it I tried with
shorter recordings and it also said it
could summarize it so apparently there's
just this magical length that's just a
perfect size
all right so copy paste the
transcription into your AI of choice
this will be the method for all the
tests going forward in the video and
boom you got your formatted summary now
this bad boy is the Galaxy Tab S8 plus

the standard recorder app has
transcription and what do you know a
summary that actually works I mean for a
free app that just comes on your Samsung
device this is pretty it's pretty
spectacular and even more spectacular
actual Pro tip the Galaxy s22 which you
can pick up again on back Market renewed
for around 200 250 bucks has the same
app so so no it's it's not perfectly
formatted like the plot you can just
copy and paste it into the AI and then
boom you'll have your summary okay so we
got a $400 tablet $200 Galaxy Fun what's
even left anymore this bad boy is the
OnePlus Nord N20 I actually have a
review for this on my channel a couple
years ago
$100 renewed back Market again this is
as cheap as a decent phone can be so
there's no excuses at this point okay so
there's a recorder app I can record
audio there's no transcription there's
definitely no summary so how do I get a
recording of audio
transcribed well you don't all Android
devices come with a live transcribe
accessibility feature that you can turn
on now on this phone it can't record
audio and transcribe at the same exact
time so you kind of have to choose but
that's not a problem here just
transcribe it copy paste that into a doc
copy paste that into your AI boom summer
read now Gemini and chat gbt are both
free but there are paid versions for
both that are both 20 bucks a month
which is $240 a year you could just go
this free route and pay for the premium
chat gbt to get you know the better
summer I guess but I wouldn't recommend
that 240 bucks a year is kind of a lot
but for me personally it's not free
enough all right so I waited this long
to do the actual Deep dive of the pla um
pricing model because it's a mess and it
genuinely uh pisses me off so the plot
Hardware is $150 right the subscription
is $155 a year or $13 a month you can
use this without a subscription but
without it you'll only get 600 minutes
or 10 hours a month of transcription
minutes subscribing gives you double
that 1,200 a month or 20 hours of
transcription right sounds weird you
still with me cool it gets worse you can
also buy minutes like a prepaid phone or
AOL discs where instead of minutes or or
access to the internet it's
transcription minutes like it's 1998
again actually insane I mean yes you
could just buy the thing and then never
subscribe but I mean it depends on your
use case let's say you're a full-time
student and you want to record your
lectures every day every month for the
whole semester that's going to add up in
price and minutes all right so now what
I set out to achieve what this plot AI
can do but for free now to reiterate I
say free meaning using your phone which
is something you already have which is
why I tested everything from a flagship
down to a $100 phone I can't just say
yes you can do it for free just get
yourself a ,000 phone it's not it's not
realistic most people can't afford this
all right so is it possible absolutely
um there's a workflow to it but it's
free every Android phone has live
transcription copy paste that into your
AI Choice boom summaried is it going to
be as accurate as the
pla probably not there's a notable
difference between plots transcriptions
and summaries and even Googles and
Samsungs am I still going to drop 150
bucks on this thing and
$155 a year on top of that to do what I
can technically do for free in this
economy nah no I I'm sorry I'm not doing
that does that mean it's not right for
you though of course not you may need 20
plus hours of subscri sub transcriptions
that need to be 100% accurate you may
need that you may need a transcriber
that's separate from your phone you
might not be able to take your phone
into these meetings cuz they're super
super Hush Hush who knows that's totally
valid do you for me though I like free
free is nice Free's good really good I'm
also very anti- subscription so uh
there's that I think the real hero here
is actually that recorder app on Galaxy
devices truly incredible and it's only a
onetime purchase and you don't have to
buy minutes anyways what do you think
