Asalam alaikum. Tonight we honor a star
who turns every camera into a friend and
every stage into a story. She began as a
presenter and an RJ radio jockey bone
hurts on television and then claimed the
big screen. She added music to the
journey and now connects with her
audience in theaters on streaming and in
playlist as well. Please join me in
welcoming the brilliant and ever
Thank you for having me.
>> Thank you. You look beautiful. Thank
you. You your eyes looks beautiful.
Other than that, I can't see anything.
So I just I guess I have to appreciate
the beautiful eyes and the voice. But
yeah, thank you for having me.
>> Welcome. Welcome. May I please know the
meaning of
So came up with an idea that you know we
will make so make it short so that easier
but
proper meaning of course it's an Arabic
name. Yeah, I think uh shor
I'm not sure but who is an achiever that
that's I know that's that's the proper
representation of my name you so tell us
about your family a simple family but
was very fulfilling. I would say I had a
wonderful childhood especially
was everything.
So that is like one of my core sweet
almost
She used to be a teacher first. After
that she turned into entrepreneur
because I think we started clothing
I am one of those very few people
but we used to do it and it was pretty
Good. Then we took store
which is
that's completely belonged to my sister
and brother-in-law but yes she's an
entrepreneur and now she's a full-time
schoolmerce
college Rajuku College Commerce. Then I
finished LLV from University of London,
Bangladesh LC.
So yeah graduate but I always wanted to
40% 60% I was like in extracurricular
activities but I was a good student
finish studies. So because I always
wanted to finish studies no matter what
that's a good that's a good thing and
you also that's called balance actually.
Yeah, absolutely. I mean like there is
nothing to do. It doesn't mean that even
if you're successful or you're earning
money, end of the day why we are working
so hard. It's because we need to have a
comfortable living. We want to earn
money and we want to do what we wish for.
So just
so I think for that you also need to be
educated inside. Definitely. Yeah, definitely.
As a familiar face to many. So, how do
you think the public views your
personality? People think I'm very rude.
I think that's how I want people to know
because so that I feel less
approachable, but I'm not very kind.
You're beautiful from heart. You're very
you're very down to earth.
>> Yes, I am. But not to everyone.
very selective participation.
If I gel with someone, if I like
someone, I'll be very nice and humble.
because I feel that it's too late and
it's very unnecessary pressure on our
self because you can't be loved by everyone
everyone impossible.
But make sure that you don't disrespect
anyone. you don't create enemies and if
you don't like someone it's okay you can
keep your opinion to yourself so that's
the simple method I follow but when it
to specifically answering to your
question I think people see me as a like on
on
she's a multitasker she does a lot of
things and also people think that some
people I think they think I'm a good person
person
you are and undoubtedly You are
beautiful. Okay. So, Mr. Faria, your
journey from you you're from Bishal,
right? Like you're no where where is
your hometown? >> Kuma.
>> Kuma.
>> Kumla. So, from from Kumla to like
becoming this one of the boundest most
recognized face, right? So, what do you
what do you think that fooled your
ambition and like you know you being
I think my my family has been living in
so
it's of course
Nanubari is very sweet. It's all about
good food and pizza. That's the core
memory I have from Nanowari. But I never
thought that I will be someone someone
I'm dancing. I just realiz I had it in me.
The right place to go. The right place
to go. And that's what I felt. And when
even if you try so hard,
still that will happen. That will happen
for your best. So
We're having this conversation. Even
this have a some kind of a reason we
So if if you could tell your younger
self one thing like before her very
first audition what would
I think on my very first audition first
movie I mean I think I gave audition for
almost 6 and 1/2 hours but we audition like
like
and one of the biggest thing is like
no acknowledge I'm very sorted in my
head. I know what are my good sides
which are my non good side bad side I
would not say as a not good side. So
when I entered first in that room and I
because I'm talking about 10 years back.
This year I stepped into 10 years of
flow. So yeah and when that happened I
was just enjoying the process. I didn't
thought much and still I would say to my
younger self and the future self please
don't take pressure just enjoy. So actually
I think I worked on myself.
I spend a lot of time with myself rather
than with people. So that's like one of
the best thing I have done in past four
That's beautiful.
You have achieved so much in your career
mashallah. But where does faith fits
into your success story?
>> Everywhere. I think faith in say I'm a
very religious person and it is
different. I usually don't talk about
this on camera because this is my
relationship with my God and I feel
there's nothing to discuss about it
because people will have a different
point of view and they will you know put
and my faith is that strong 99%
99%
I would say
before I do one person
but 99% time it's just me and him we are
talking whatever it's happening even the
small thing big thing small decisions
big decisions I'm always looking for his
sign like
give me a sign if this is good keep it
if it's not good
you know take it away so this kind of
very clear my my everything is very
simple clear complex
complex
Even my faith with him as well.
when you are really connected with the
divine power, you actually don't you're
not scared of anything in front of you,
any situation. And because you're not
answerable to anyone other than him, >> right?
>> right?
>> So as long as you know it, he knows it.
Your job is to feed your stomach. That
is a different thing. Your is completely
all but other than that your equation
should be the divine power needs to be
Sure. Okay. So when the lights are off
and the makeup is gone. So who is Nusra
Faria really talking to herself? Like
>> mostly I am watching Korean drama,
eating lot of ramen and enjoying a good
comfy I love my bed. Trust me. I made
So I literally spend a lot of time with
myself when I'm not doing anything and
mostly I'm watching a lot of stuff. I'm learning
next two three month 2 3 months research
I'll get to the bottom and then I'm over
it and move on to the next topic. So I'm
very curious which is another thing I
would say that keeping me alive every
day that I'm very inquisitive that I
like to learn
that's whatever that's that's beautiful
you know you get into the root and you
understand why this is happening but
gain some knowledge
so you know you you'll feel good and
alive as
>> yeah you you have to be curious every
day. Like if you stop being curious,
right?
Okay. So,
if I ask you about love? >> Mhm.
>> Mhm.
>> What is what is the definition of love
to you? I think I've just turned 30. So,
maybe 10 years back, 20 years old,
love would have been completely different.
different.
It would have been like oh nice gifts
every day kawa cute messages good
morning good night holding hands and
stuff but 10 years down the line
definitely that's not the case that
those are important of course those are
also important because I am a very
emotional girl
brain stimul becauseed
doesn'tffect like yeah affect me. So I
need the stimulation constantly which is
a part as I said I'm very self-aware.
So that stimulation it is love. Okay.
Okay.
>> So let's say for example you're talking
good morning
>> that gives you a dopamine hit
>> mental stimulation
>> and we call them love
>> right but
momentarily for a time being. Next phase
that is responsibility, respect and also
accepting each other the way they are.
Yes. Perfect. That's the best way to
We are just focusing on all those
sectors rather than the spiritual and
emotional connections because in the
closed door once you get married to your
loved ones when you're in a one room
under same roof if you don't have the
same values same belief system once like
But honestly, it's all about accepting
the way it is. Very true. Very true. So
what do you suggest like
what do you suggest then?
>> I cannot suggest so I cannot suggest to
them. I think I'm too young for that
What's up? You know that feeling when
you talk to your friend, you don't think
much. You don't actually like look left
or right and think. You just say overink.
overink.
If you can be yourself with that person
and the person accept you, the way you
she's so loud. You know what I mean?
They accept you the way you are. And
You know, all those sweet things. If you
can do that with your partner and if you
have a growth mentality
like let's have today we have dashtaka
we will make ashotaka together if you
have that mentality I I think then you
should go for it because growth is
important because financial freedom is
important and if you have that you know
coolness to your relationship love and
physical attraction will automatically come.
come.
>> Mhm. Very true. Very true. So talking
about your career, can I can I ask you
something like
>> how do you enjoy your like this
versatile lifestyle like you know once
you're a once you work in a theater once
you work in cinema once you work in like
a you know like ads and all like the
different sectors you're working in how
do you actually manage or like or how
would you explain this lifestyle?
>> Well honestly I think I've been doing it
for quite a long
>> No I love it.
Is very important to be and stick to
something. It could be my job. It could
be a person. It could be passion. It
could be my animal. Anything that
>> Do you have a pet?
>> Yes, I have a pet. I'm a full-time cat,
mom. Oh, wow. I have two cats. So,
everything has to be like related to my
and I do it. It's not that I'm only
acting or dancing or singing. I'm also
behind the camera or behind the
microphone telling my thoughts and you
know like ideas and sharing what we can
do better and we are implementing when
creating magic on screen. So that's the
money.
Don't do this. But oh yeah, I think I
left home because of my profession when
I was really young. I think so many people
stubborn right and all and then I
started working full time
whole family was against it of course
because we belong to very conservative
family still they are very conservative
My whole family is very conservative. We
But I said like you know this is my
passion I want to pursue and to be very honest
rather than focusing on that. So back in
that time when I was really really young,
So my mom was like a we'll give you some
time if you do good we will allow
otherwise no.
So then I started working and it's since
then it's a it's a whole thing and
initially they weren't happy with it
around I think how many years
almost like 6 7 years 6 7 years we were
respect and of course on top of that I
am helping financially to the family I'm
helping to growing business I'm helping
to you know every other aspects. Soon
they were very nice and
>> I see you often very close with your niece.
niece. >> Yes.
>> I mean Fala is I would say just mini
Oh, she got my attitude. She got my
everything. And I I think
age difference
we have the similar brain. We process
things like similarly like suddenly we
will schedule with each other. Let's
have a ramen session. Let's watch this
today we kept this for you. So
I woke up and then it's Friday. So
Friday we roast.
So it's a feast day. Friday all the
and then we'll have that pulao with it.
and I was spending time with myself
watching Netflix and then I got ready
came. But when I'm when I don't have
How do you like recover it or what do
you do actually on that? Well,
you're so
no. I'm very chilled but also I have
anxiety and depression. It's normal. And
because some of us
get anxiety and depression or trauma
You'll grow up with mommy issues.
We will attract those people.
So you I'm just actal.
right? So of course I have I I became
sad. Life is all about happiness and
optimistic
I cry. I cry. I cry my heart out.
Sometimes I pray and I go to gym and I
lift weight.
normal. I think I'm way normal than any
You're a beautiful human. Oh, thank you.
No, I think you would see my social
media you will see 89 person post or sad
post. I'm always sharing quotes even
I've shared a quote. It's about being
kind. doesn't matter what you're getting
in return. I also wrote about keep your
ego and offer kindness because as our
let my heart out because it's also good
and overflow.
I think it would be not good for
yourself because I had lot of lot of big
incidents in my life which I would say I overcome
overcome
very smoothly because I was very
optimistic that I can do it.
like you have to keep going and
but still there is a noise a noise that
we can't hear. It's in our head.
Yeah. Like only you and I talking but in
whatever in my head let's not even go
there. So I'm just saying for example so
in our head it's very chaotic already.
So if we take everything very seriously
because I used to do that a lot. I think
I'm became very thick skin.
Have you ever crossed any narcissistic personality?
personality?
>> Oh yes. I've always dated a narcissist then
then
cuz you know a bit about naric personality.
personality. >> Okay.
>> Okay.
>> Not the man like how did you face it?
Actually what is your thought about that?
that?
>> Because I'm exactly opposite of
narcissistic personality. That's what I
think but I'm a narcissist because there
is something called narcissistic trait
that we all have generally a bit of
percentages there in our personality and
p and narcissist personality is
>> it's it's it's absorbable
>> it's a narcissistic personality actually
I think I would not even blame them
either because they also have some kind
of childhood trauma
getting to the root why the person is
acting the way she is or he is. I think
that's that's one there. But yes, I have
been a victim of a narcissistic
relationship which I think uh was
relatively bad but it could have been
Because
the kind of abuse we go through on a
regular basis is kind of two. One is you
physically abuse someone, then you love
bomb them.
>> Second, you mentally abuse someone. My
god, that's that's dangerous. Mentally
abusing someone could be manipulating
that person's. And if you know that
that person is pulling the strings as
per that person's convenient. So that's
the most last stage of having that kind
of relationship or crossing with a
person I think. So once I figured it out,
Yeah, it took me it took me a lot of
time to figure it out that I want to get
out of it and also when I was thinking
of getting out of it, I was thinking can
I do all these things alone by myself?
No dependency because they'll make sure
I was so naive. I was so dependent on a
person but I took time and I that time
when I was talking that I spend a lot of
other than that what he's offering me on
but it took a lot of time still recovering.
recovering.
Yeah. Because
I didn't even know how to get out of
I just got the strength and I just ran
it's following me or not.
Exactly what you said. Yeah, that kills
you. Yeah, I know. But honestly once you
decide I think once we anyone it could
we
that whole intention has to be pure and
straight straight line you can do it I
think I've seen so many girls around me
so many women around me even men were,
you know, fighting this whole battle.
They got themselves out and they're
Determination and also I would tell you
one thing,
terms to make it sounding it more
glorified, knowledgeable, you know,
fancy, but it's good people, bad people.
you know 6 month is a pretty good time
to understand if the person comes with a
good intention or a bad intention. If
you think that person comes with a bad
intention, just leave.
>> I think it's about what is stopping you.
What is stopping you? Like
So if you're seeing like what he's
pouring into you rather than just
because of the fear of divorce if that's
never that's not a healthy environment
for the kids either either you work on
yourself either you if you're domestic abuser
I have zero respect for that man loud
and clear even if that person is my
relatives I would not sit with that
person on the same table like literally
never and ever hellocally
you have no
you're not a anymore and you have zero
respect. So I would not that
conversation like end leave.
I know it sounds extremist but this is
how that's
>> that's how it should be. husband
husband
as a woman just leave.
You will find way better person in your
life. Maybe you can do for yourself
better. Allah will take care of you if
there is no one else doing. Your parents will.
will.
God have plans for everyone. Just
believe that and leave. Now here comes
emotional abuse.
Emotional abuse. I think the first thing
they can do is like talk communications. Communications
If you talk, if you're a good listener,
if you're a good talker, sit with the
They used to have pan to have sweet
chat. So I think a good chat is always
very healthy.
>> Oneon one, right?
>> Just oneonone. That's it. No one else.
Oneonone good food always works. So if
with peace in her heart. Like right now
I can tell I have peace in my heart. I
might not have a lot of money but I have
a lot of peace in my heart. I have good
good and healthy environment around me.
Nothing toxic around me. So
I had a lot of money but the environment
was toxic. So of course I choose this
any day. So it's your decision what you
want to do.
>> Beautiful. So do you think it's truly
possible to love freely when the whole
world is watching?
>> No, not at all. I mean if you're asking
not far. So they mix it
like you know in their head they mix the
whole idea of like
you know seeing Faria or seeing fire
there's a huge deal.
on top of that always just thinking what
if this person comes with a motive? What
if this person puts me into trouble or
and maybe this person goes and it to the
rest of the world and what if my privacy
is violated. So a lot of things are there.
because the way we have represented the
idea of being an actress in our country negative
negative
which I'm really sad about because we
work really hard harder than any person like
But rather than pointing out a female personality,
personality,
actually they work really hard. They
sacrifice their whole life. They really
love what they do. So we are here for
it affects our love and relationship
life as well. They're like oh every day
we are seeing newses about you what this
happened if this rumors is true or that
is true. Are you doing everything for
fame or image?
You lose the interest on that person.
>> Yeah. or no the whole idea of love
it's like how many times I will explain
myself you know why do I have to
it's okay if I have to I mean I will 100
times if my partner want me to ask me
200 questions like okay what do you eat
for breakfast what you eat for dinner I
want to know everything these are fine
I have always
dated people from outside of the
industry. So never they were not part of
the industry. So they don't know what
what is how it works. So insecure too. Insecurity.
like because I'm a kind of a girl I give
reassurance like anything to my world
like I will give you reassurance even if
I'mhat I don't care if you need that
I'll I'll give you reassurance in front
of 100 people and yeah that that's
that's who I am so that's not a problem
for me but difficult
No, they think nice person.
>> No, I think I'm not I'm not complicated
in it.
>> You are not complicated.
>> That's And if you have to stay with a
man, you have to be complicated. Yes.
Yes.
street smart
but as I said earlier beginning like I
am a firm believer of a concept being a
best friend first. Mhm.
>> than forming a relationship. So mindset direct.
direct. >> Yeah.
>> Yeah. True.
True.
>> You know what I mean? Because once you
share everything, you're just becoming
an open book to a guy. And if he wants
to use them as against you, it's very easy.
It's not like like let's say what's his
intention is to be very honest if he
just wants to have a fling or if he
wants to just have a good religion or if
he wants to wants to marry you because mostly
So we function differently.
>> Yeah. More emotionally actually. And
Yes. Mostly that's how their brain works.
works.
>> Yeah. That's how their brain works. Very.
Very.
>> But it's okay. They're also
so we also love you and forgive you for
Okay. So, it it's a fun segment right
now. Fun game. So, we'll just have I'll
just ask few questions and you just
answer it. Just one word or two word or
maybe a small sentence. So, who's the
first person you call after good news?
Good. Yeah. Like any good news. Any good
I believe in him. You know that's very
good. Allah actually set us to do it
this way. Sure about you know whatever
you're doing end
is real. That's what I said. I believe in
Yeah. Keep it to myself. Who's your
>> I just liked him the way he looked. I
saw him sh I posted BPL.
Soon he came here to perform. I saw him
shan like my taka childhood crush.
>> He must be very handsome, right?
>> In person. Oh yes, he is. >> Okay.
>> Okay.
I a movie line. You secretly love to act
out in the mirror.
>> Movie line. >> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> I think everything Karina Kapoor did in
job we met. >> Okay.
>> Okay.
>> I think every girls love it.
>> Yeah, we do. We do.
Okay. So
And these days I'm obsessed with air fryers.
I was thinking I'm going to make a
cheesecake in air fry.
we making this or don't make it. So I'm
a foodie and a big time. I love food. I
love food and I work out. I was about to
ask you like do you have this fantastic physique?
physique?
>> I I work out a lot. I've been working
out. It's been almost 11 years now.
>> Do you heard about this recent incident
of a makeup artist who died because of anorexia?
anorexia?
>> Is it?
>> Yeah. Or health issues?
>> I don't know. I just saw it. But I'm
just I'm just asking because the whole
thing was about losing weight, body
shaming. The whole thing was about first
and we just have to embrace embrace the
whole thing like
has to look beautiful. So I worked on
my midsection was a bit heavier because
we genetically were different.
I wanted to have that whole flat stomach
and everything. immediately. I started
noticing some some kind of like health
issues in me. Immediately when I did
that, I switched to another method. I
had flat stomach but I was healthier. So
you just have to figure it out that it's
might take a long time
but it will come. Like for me it's 11
years I'm working out every day. I'm
going to gym every other day without
skipping without thinking anything. I'm
sad I'm going to gym. It's raining. I'm
going to gym. It's hotel. I'm going to
gym. Anything happening, I'm going to
I'm in the gym. You know, it's not
because of that because I need to No,
It's because of my health and also muscles.
That's the biggest anti-aging secret.
You know all you have to make this up
habit and a part of your lifestyle. You
can't have a drastic overnight result
and overnight.
Yeah. talking to the topic like getting
Whatever it is, it's it's impossible because
our body is our biggest temple.
>> Definitely. And you have first
help. Absolutely. and tumar worship
worship
every part I've seen some of the actress
gave an interview and said like thank
you every part of my body and I think
that's a good ritual you're saying thank
so what's the point
I think we need to be grateful what you
have and also if You want to achieve
something, go for a consistency plan, right?
that thing,
we can't stop it, right? We can't We
can't stop it. And I'm in the show
business. Yeah, that's also part of my
royal routine, right? I would not say
directly anything to it because I don't
want to get into any controversy. But
suitable consult a doctor or expertise
and then do it. This will be my suggestion.
good, bad, not so good quality but affordability.
So
rather than blaming them who are
there is some events or whatever like
you want to look your best you work hard
and if you see that if suiting you
that's good if it's not then don't go
for it.
you don't have to be anything. And I
think that's the beauty of this
no matter how they look they are valued right.
right.
Alhamdulillah. So which was your most
memorable compliment you ever got?
>> I don't remember. I get a lot of compliment.
compliment.
>> Yeah I know. I know. But mah I get a lot
of compliment I think. Oh the best
compliment is like gives me 16.
16.
>> Yeah she called me Lala. So Lala, how
old are you? She says I'm eight. I said
how old am I? You're 16.
>> In her eyes I look young.
I think that's the cutest compliment. It
is. It is a habit that changed your life.
life.
>> Oh cutting out toxic people.
That's matter of huge courage. Yeah.
Just know
invisible.
I think I have a bit of this personality
as well like he or she is nowhere there
That's a very good quality. I would say
I think I enjoy every moment that one of
tried and applied on myself that I enjoy
every moment like I enjoy I'm enjoying
the moment I'm having with you in
between interviews and looking
>> you're a grateful person.
So, one thing you wish people knew about you,
Dad, you're very cute. Oh, yes, I am.
I want people to know like I'm I'm a
great host.
I have this the whole winter treat. So
not many people knows about it. So but
yeah I have that. Okay.
Nice. That's beautiful. A mistake you
are glad you made. Mistake
Mistake
that I'm glad I made. Ah interesting. H
I usually do not regret about mistakes
either. Getting out of
a relationship where I've thought I'll
found love. >> Mhm.
>> Mhm.
But then again, when I got out of it, I
>> You got more loved at this.
>> I mean, like, no, I felt like, how do I
say like on I felt loved in that
relationship, but that was a huge
mistake. Mhm. itself from the beginning.
>> Mhm. But you were glad you made it.
>> But I glad I made it because I fell in
love. I felt that love.
>> Oh, you know, very beautiful. A bit
but no, but I felt love like, oh wow,
the feeling of love
that Yeah. And I'm I was happy that oh,
I can still love a person.
But thank God I made that mistake.
>> Exactly. That's the answer I was looking
for. A mistake of glad you made.
>> Yeah. Yep. So what breaks you builds you
or breaks you more? Faria failure.
Any day I fail, I stand up. I work hard again.
again.
I'll stop. No, I won't stop. There is
This is a very beautiful personality.
quality.
Yeah, I'll not stop. I'll keep learning.
I will be disciplined. I'll keep
boundaries and I know how to do
invisible people I don't like. Well, I
think being humble I definitely that's
I have things to offer is my behavior,
Those are extras. So which I have
borrowed. If your life had a title, what
Oh, that's a hell of a biopic.
I don't know. Still yet to figure it
