Hallelujah. First chapter of Colossians
verse 24. And today I want to preach
about the anointing. How many know we
need the anointing of the Holy Spirit?
>> And I'm going to read these passages of
scripture and pray the Lord. This is not
going to be very sermonic. I want to
share with this house this just this
very simple but I believe necessary and
powerful revelation regarding the
anointing of the Holy Spirit. And I'm
going to tell you why I'm sharing this
with you on the last Sunday as we ease
into this message in just a moment.
First chapter of Colossians, verse 24.
Let's read this together.
Now I rejoice in what I am suffering for
you, and I fill up in my flesh what is
still lacking in regard to Christ's
afflictions for the sake of his body,
which is the church. Say, "His body,

>> is the church. One more time. Say, "His body,
body,

>> is the church."

>> I have become its servant by the
commission of God gave to gave me to
present to you the whole word of God in
its fullness. Next verse. That the
mystery that has been kept hidden for
ages and generations, but now is now
disclosed to the Lord's people. How many
know there are a people that belong to
the Lord? How many are glad you are part
of the Lord's people? Next verse. To
them God has chosen to make known among
the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery
mystery
which is underline it. Get it in your
spirit and hear this phrase. It's
powerful. Which is Christ
in you. The hope of glory. The hope of
glory is Christ in you. It's Listen to
me. It's not what's just coming on you,
but it's who's already in you. There is
someone, not something. There is someone
living in you. And that revelation is
the hope of glory. How many know that
there's somebody living on the inside of
you this morning? If you believe that,
say, "Amen."
>> Last. Keep going. Next verse to them.
Uh, next verse. Can you go to the next
verse? Yes. Verse 28. Him we preach,
warning every man and teaching every man
in all wisdom, that we may present every
man perfect in Christ. To this end I
also labor striving according to his
working which works in me
mightily. To this end, I strenuously
contend, the NIV says, with all the
energy Christ so powerfully works in me.
I want to preach this morning on the
need for the anointing in the people of
God. And I want to preach about the
anointing of the Holy Spirit. How many
have ever heard about the anointing?
Lift your hand. Okay. I want to teach
and preach on this and and I wish this
would be able to be and maybe later in
this year the Lord will uh release and
allow us to talk about the anointing for
several weeks in a row. But on the last
Sunday of this year, I want to teach on
this and I I began to ask God why I was
feeling something about the anointing
for for the last several weeks. And I
really believe this. The Lord spoke to
me and said, "I want you to end this
year with a fresh anointing." And you
say, "Well, I think we'll launch into
the new year with a fresh anointing."
I'm not waiting on the new year to come
into a revelation of the anointing. I'm
telling you, there's not one day we
live. We need to live without a fresh
oil resting on our life. And some of you
won't be ready to step into what God has
for you until you step into a fresh
anointing. And you may have been
anointed before, but I want to tell you,
God loves you enough and he loves me
enough and he loves us anoint enough to
anoint us a fresh and a new. If you
receive that, say, "We need the
anointing." Father, help us to teach and
preach the word of God today. I'm asking
you for a clarity and a grace and a
gift, the the the the revelation of the
Holy Spirit, the wisdom and the
revelation of God in the knowledge of
Jesus to rest on this house today that
our eyes would come open. As a teacher,
may my subject matter be all about you, Jesus.
Jesus.
a as a destination, may we end up at
your feet, Lord Jesus. As a matter of of
of consequence and what you're wanting
to do, may we come into to a revelation
that brings us not just to an
understanding, but to a place of manifestation.

So that that which we hear is not just
something that is abstract, but it
becomes something that is tangible,
something that we put our hands on in
our life in Jesus' name. Amen. And amen.
You can be seated in the presence of the Lord.
So
I I am under um I'm under a an understanding
understanding
as a as a leader uh in our church and
and and someone who does have the
privilege at times to travel and to see
what's going on in Christendom. I'm of
the opinion
that there are a lot of people who are
all right with Jesus
and they're not and there's a lot of
people who are not all right with Jesus.
First of all, how many can testify
there's there's there's a lot of people
who are not all right with Jesus, but
there's a lot of people who are actually
okay with Jesus in the church. There are
a lot of people most everybody in the
church would tell you they love Jesus.
But I'm concerned that the church is
falling in love with a version of Jesus
that leaves people in bondage,
that leaves people in sickness, that
leaves people in depression, that leaves
people addicted.
And I want to tell you this morning that
he's not just Jesus, the empathetic one.
He's Jesus, the freedom giving God.
And he doesn't come just to teach us how
to cope with sin. And co that this is
this is the farce of what's happening in
today's church is that Jesus is just
coming to teach you and I how to uh cope
with sin rather than seeing sin and its
patterns conquered
>> in us. And and there is a very very
uh powerful revelation in the person of
Jesus Christ.
Jesus is not his first name and Christ
is not his last name.
>> You you you and I have to catch this.
Christ is actually a designation
and a title given to him to describe and
articulate the ministry and the why in
which he came to earth.
John the apostle says it like this in
first John 3. For this purpose was the
son of God manifested that he being
Jesus Christ would destroy the works of
the devil.
Jesus did not come to start another religion.
religion.
>> Jesus didn't come to start a denomination.
denomination.
Jesus didn't come to start even just a
spiritual movement. Jesus came because
the devil had set up his kingdom and his
camp on planet Earth. And in the
fullness of time, this God man came
through the virgin womb of a girl named
Mary and was born not to stay a baby,
but to become a conquering king who
would put the devil out of business.
>> Jesus Christ. Everyone say Jesus Christ.
>> Now, I'm not trying to be semantically a
smart elo today when I say uh a version
of Jesus. I I'm thankful for Jesus.
Don't misunderstand what I'm saying, but
the Jesus of the Bible is different than
the Jesus some people are preaching.
>> That there are people who are preaching
a version of Jesus that is not found in
these gospels. There are people
preaching a version of God that is not
found in this holy book. And I want you
to know that we cannot create a version
of Jesus in our mind that leaves people
in complacency, that leaves people in
bondage, that leaves people in a place
of defeat, that leaves people in a place
of hopelessness. And and what we have to
do when we abandon this whole idea of
Jesus Christ and we've embraced this
version of Jesus that that that has no
power is that we have to put programs in
church that that help people sympathize
and limp along in their defeated life
rather than stepping into the dimension
of victory that seems to be promised in
the scriptures of this book. I do not
find a God who is disconnected and
DEFEATED AND FIGHTING IT OUT WITH THE
DEVIL ON THE BATTLEFIELD of earth till
one day we're going to find out who the
true champion really is. I THOUGHT THAT
WHEN he rose from the dead, he conquered
death, hell, and the grave. AND THAT IS
NOT A FUTURISTIC EVENT THAT WILL ONE DAY
SETTLE THE MATTER. PAUL SAID HE
TRIUMPHED OVER DEATH. WHEN HE NAILED THE
SINS OF HUMANITY TO THE CROSS AND WHEN
HE ROSE, HE DIDN'T RISE AND SAY, "WE'LL
SEE." WHEN HE DIED, HE SAID, "IT IS
FINISHED." AND WHEN HE ROSE, HE
[screaming] SAID, "I TOLD YOU I AM WHO I
SAID I AM." HALLELUJAH.
And I I don't want us to fall in love
with a version of Jesus
>> that doesn't confront my sin,
>> that doesn't confront sickness, THAT
DOESN'T CONFRONT DEMONIC POWER. THIS
JESUS IS NOT JUST ANOTHER MAN. HE IS
indeed the Christ.
>> That's why we call HIM JESUS CHRIST.
IT'S not his last name. Christ is
literally the designation and the title
for the Messiah. And what it literally
means is the anointed one.
>> Now, let's talk about the anointing.
Everyone say the anointing.
>> When I was raised, the anointing,
first of all, I my association with the
anointing, I associated everything in my
life. If it was anointed, it had oil on it.

>> Some of y'all didn't go to that kind of church.
church.
If you go to the church I was raised in,
the banjo had anointing oil on it. I'm
not kidding. You couldn't find a
doorpost in my church that didn't have
fingerprints with oil on it. There were
Bibles with oily fingerprints on it. The
the bathroom handle had oil on it.
Everything in the church I was Anybody
know what I'm talking about? I know that
not everybody does, but let let somebody
near you know I'm not crazy when I talk
about it like this. We anointed
everything. The tambourines had oil on
it. The organ had oily fingerprints on
it. Why? Why did we do that? And what
did that mean? Why did we put oil on
things? And why did we anoint people
with oil? Because when we read the Old
Testament, the Old Testament TALKED TO
US AND TAUGHT TAUGHT us about the the
tabernacle in the Old Covenant in the
book of Exodus. And God told the priest
and Moses, I want you to make anointing
oil. One day I'm going to preach a
message about the composition of the
anointing oil because the anointing oil
only had one recipe. There weren't
multiple recipes. There weren't a bunch
of different recipes for the anointing.
Listen to me. There's a bunch of
different ways TO MAKE FRIED CHICKEN.
There's a bunch of different ways to
make corn casserole. There's a bunch of
different ways to make chocolate chip
cookies. But there's only one recipe for
the oil of the spirit that God used to
anoint things in the Old Testament. And
I want to tell you, and you say, "Well,
that was the Old Testament." Remember
this. The Old Testament is simply a type
AND A SHADOW OF the thing that is to
come. And when God told Moses in the
book of Exodus, I want you to make this
holy anointing oil. And here's the
recipe that the apothecary or the
perfumer is to follow for making this
anointing oil. They would mix cinnamon.
They would mix calamus. They would mix
they they would mix these different um
spices and they would put it in a hen of
olive oil and they would stir it up and
they would take that oil that smell
smelled aromatic. It smelled fragrant.
It was a beautiful smell. And and you
say, "Well, uh if you were like me, we
didn't have the money for that kind of
anointing oil when we were growing up in
church. So, we had this olive oil
bottle. Come on in here and talk to me, Pentecostals.
Pentecostals.
Pompean olive oil. Nobody put any
cinnamon in it. And there was no
frankincense or myrr. And after a while,
it got rancid and it got old. But they'd
keep that oil and they had put it on
everything. I promise you, I know what
I'm talking about. Why did we do that?
Because in the OLD TESTAMENT, WHEN GOD
GOT READY TO reveal himself, he said to
Moses, "Moses, I want you to build this
tabernacle. I want you to put an outer
court, an inner court, and a holy of
holies. I want you to have altars. I
want you to have a table with showbread.
I want you to have a brazen a labor. I
want you to HAVE A HOLY PLACE. AND ON
THAT HOL IN THAT HOLY PLACE, ON THAT ARK
OF THE COVENANT, on top of it, I want
you to put a a mercy seat. There are
going to be two angels made of beaten
gold. And between THOSE TWO ANGELS MADE
OF BEATEN GOLD, I want you to put blood
once a year. And the blood of that
perfect lamb that you put on that mercy
seat will expiate the the THE PENALTY OF
SIN. AND IT WILL HOLD MY JUDGMENT BACK
FOR A SEASON, for a year, I I'll
overlook the sin of the whole nation. AS
LONG AS IN THAT MERCY SEAT, ON THAT
MERCY SEAT, I see the blood OF A PURE
LAMB. WATCH THIS. I WANT YOU TO HEAR ME
TELL YOU THAT WHEN GOD GAVE MOSES THE
THE STRATEGY AND THE BLUEPRINT FOR the
for the uh the tabernacle in the old
covenant, EVERY SINGLE ITEM OF FURNITURE
IN THAT TABERNACLE WAS TO BE ANOINTED
WITH OIL. WHY? WHY DID THEY HAVE TO PUT
OIL ON THE UTENSILS? WHY DID THEY HAVE
TO PUT OIL on the curtain? Why did they
have to put oil on all of THE FURNITURE?
BECAUSE IT HAD TO BE CONSECRATED AND IT
HAD TO BE SET APART AND IT HAD TO BE
USED EXCLUSIVELY for the work of the
Lord. I'm going TO SAY THIS TO THE
CHURCH THAT IN THIS HOUR IT IS BECOMING
CONVENIENT FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO BE
USED BY GOD TO BE USED BY GOD ON SUNDAY
AND MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY. THEY'LL LET
ANYTHING ELSE IN THIS WORLD TOUCH THEIR
LIFE AND ANOINT THEM FOR ANY OTHER
WORLDLY PURPOSE. THIS SOUNDS
OLD-FASHIONED, BUT THE ANOINTING THAT
SETS YOU APART DOES NOT SET YOU APART SO
THAT THE WORLD CAN POSSESS YOU. [screaming]
[screaming]
GOD DIDN'T GIVE YOU GIFTS SO THAT THE
WORLD COULD PROSTITUTE YOUR GIFT AND
HAVE YOU. GOD PUT HIS HAND ON YOUR LIFE
AND SAID, "HE AND HER BELONG TO ME, AND
I'M GOING TO SET THEM APART. I'M GOING
TO CONSECRATE THEM AND USE THEM FOR MY
GLORY." I WANT TO SAY THIS ON SUNDAY
MORNING. GOD, GIVE US A CHURCH IN THIS
HOUR THAT IS NOT TRYING TO SEE HOW CLOSE
TO THE WORLD CAN WE BE AND STILL BE
SAVED. GIVE US A PEOPLE WHO WANT NOTHING
TO DO WITH THE SYSTEMS AND STRATEGY AND
THE WORKING OF THIS WORLD. MAY WE BE
CHRIST. MAY WE BE HIS. AND MAY WE BE HIS ALONE.
ALONE. >> [applause]
>> He put the oil on everything. And go
read it. It's in Exodus 25 through about
33. They put the oil on everything.
They were consecrating those pieces of
furniture in the tabernacle. They were
consecrating them for God's use alone.
And if it had the oil on it, God said,
"I'll use it for my glory."
Not only did they anoint THE STUFF IN
THE TABERNACLE,
but all three prophets, priests, and kings
kings
were anointed in the Old Testament with
oil. When David was anointed king, God
spoke to a prophet named Samuel. HE
SAID, "SAMUEL, GO TO THE HOUSE OF JESSE,
for the next king of Israel is in his
house." And you know this story when
they go to the house of Jesse,
Jesse brings out Shama, Abinadab,
Ilab, and all of his studs.
You know, he had multiple sons. And he
brings ALL OF HIS BEST AND MOST VALIANT
SONS OUT. AND SAMUEL, A GOOD PROPHET,
almost made a horrible mistake. He was
trying to anoint a new king and to put
oil ON ONE OF JESSE'S SONS according to
the flesh. Jesus,
A GOOD PROPHET, ALMOST MADE A BAD
MISTAKE. HOW? HE ALMOST anointed because
of what he saw with a natural eye. I
WANT TO TELL YOU WHAT'S HAPPENING IN
TODAY'S CHURCH THAT WE GOT TO BE VERY
CAREFUL we don't allow to happen IN OUR
HOUSE. THAT IS THAT WE ANOINT ACCORDING
TO THE FLESH. IF THEY'RE SUPER GIFTED,
IF THEY'RE SUPER STRAPPING, IF THEY'RE
SUPER WHATEVER, A AND WHETHER THEY KNOW
GOD OR NOT, IF THEY LOOK THE PART, THEN
WE'LL PUT OUR ANOINTING ON IT. I WANT TO
TELL YOU RIGHT NOW, IT'S NOT MY
ANOINTING TO GIVE AWAY. IT'S HIS
ANOINTING. AND IT DOESN'T COME ON FLESH
THAT BOAST IN ITSELF. IT COMES ON
SURRENDERED HEARTS WHO KNOW THAT IF THE
LORD DOESN'T HELP ME, I HAVE NO HELP.
MAY WE RETURN TO A PLACE OF DEPENDING ON
GOD. AND MAY WE NOT BECOME A PEOPLE WHO
ARE ENAMORED BY GIFTS AND IGNORANT WHEN
Samuel standing there and JESSE BRINGS
OUT ALL HIS BOYS. Samuel takes the horn
of oil,
puts it over all the sons, and the oil
will not flow on any of them. Samuel
scratches his head.
I know. I heard God say, "Come to this
house." I know. God told me the next
king was in this place. Do you have any
We do. Where is he? He's actually out in
the backyard with the sheep.
So, he goes to the back door, opens the
back door. That was a sound. Okay.
He opens the back door. He says, "See
him? He's out there with the sheep."
Yeah. The one standing on a rock
shouting to the top of his voice. The
one who comes home with hands that are
red from clapping. He comes home with
with a voice that is horsearo from
shouting and praising God. But you
couldn't mean he is the next king of
Israel. And Samuel said, "We won't sit
down until that young man comes in."
Now, this is what's crazy. He walks
straight in off the sheepfield and he's
smelling like sheep
because he's about to smell like a king.
>> Listen to me. There are people who
misunderstand. I feel the Lord here.
There are mis There are people who
misunderstand. They want the anointing,
but they don't want the mess of the
sheepfield. And God is sick and tired of
people who prance into pull pits and who
want to smell like kings but do not
first smell like sheep. I'm going to
tell you what qualified David when the
rest of his brothers would were not
qualified to walk in this oil. What
qualified David is that David did what
nobody wants to do when nobody was
looking. [laughter] And God said because
David loved doing what nobody wanted to
do when nobody was looking. I'm going to
give him the oil to do what everybody
wants to do while everybody is looking.
And y'all not helping me on this Sunday
morning, but I'm going to tell you, the
anointing will turn your life upside
down. THE ANOINTING WILL MAKE A CLARK
Kent into a Superman. The anointing WILL
TURN A NOBODY from nowhere. And when the
spirit OF GOD COMES ON THAT PERSON,
THEY'LL BE ABLE TO DO IN THE OIL AND IN
THE ANOINTING WHAT could never be
accomplished in the ARM OF THE FLESH.
AND SOMEBODY NEEDS TO TAP INTO THIS
TODAY. WE ARE NOT JUST SERVING A GOD WHO
HAS WOUND UP THE CHURCH. AND WE'RE
WALKING LIKE ROBOTS THROUGH THIS LIFE,
TAKING WHATEVER THE DEVIL GIVES. OH NO.
IF CHRIST IS LIVING IN YOU, THERE IS AN
AUTHORITY [screaming] ON YOU. AND WHEN
THE DEVIL HUFFS AND PUFFS, MAY THE
CHRIST IN [screaming] YOU, RISE UP WITH
AUTHORITY, PUT TO PUT THE DEVIL OUT OF
BUSINESS. I FEEL GOD [screaming] IN THIS
ROOM. WE DIDN'T COME JUST TO SYMPATHIZE
AND JUST TO COPE. WE CAME TO TELL THE
DEVIL GREATER [screaming]
IS HE THAT IS LIVING IN US
[screaming] THAN THE ONE THAT IS LIVING
IN THIS WORLD.
SHOUT AND PRAISE GOD IF YOU BELIEVE IN
THE POWER OF GOD. [cheering] [applause]
They anointed kings and priests and prophets
prophets
with oil.
There was only one recipe for the oil.
It wasn't like we do. It's okay to do
what we do. It's okay to do this.
Oh, a dab. And we put a little dab on a
person's head.
[snorts] That's great. That's great. But
that's not what they did in the Old Testament.
Testament.
There was one recipe. None of the oil
was to be wasted. They mixed the
composition of the oil and they took it
to the recipient of the oil and they
poured it on that person's head. This is
why in the book of Kings and this is in
all of these instances but in Kings it
it actually is is quite descriptive in
Kings Joo gets anointed with an
anointing that starts at the top of his
head and all of this oil flows down HIS
BODY. HE COMES OUT OF THAT room in which
he was anointed and all of his friends
see him and they say, "My God, what
happened to you?" And he he like so many
other OF US TRIES TO act like nothing
happened. And in IN THE WALLACE
UNAUTHORIZED TRANSLATION, HE SAYS,
"WHAT? WHAT?" AND THEY SAY, "SOMETHING
HAPPENED." HE SAID, "NO, nothing
happened." AND THEY SAID, "NO, YOU DON'T
UNDERSTAND. THERE ARE GALLONS OF OIL
THAT ARE [clears throat] ALL over you."
AND AND AND AND HE'S STANDING THERE
TRYING TO ACT AS IF HE'S THE SAME MAN,
BUT THERE'S an aroma on him and there's
A SATURATION ON HIM THAT ABSOLUTELY
TESTIFY OF THE DIFFERENCE THAT I HOPE
I'M NOT OVER THE HEAD OF SOME PEOPLE
THIS MORNING WHO ARE TRYING TO FIGURE
FEEL THEIR WAY THROUGH PENTECOST AND WHO
IS THIS HOLY SPIRIT. I'M TRYING TO
PREACH TO YOU THAT THERE IS A POWER.
THERE IS AN EMPOWERING. THAT THE GOSPEL
IS NOT JUST A BUNCH OF PEOPLE TRYING TO
GET TOGETHER AND MAKE EACH OTHER FEEL
BETTER. BUT THERE IS ONE WHO WALKS AMONG
THE SEVEN GOLDEN CANDLESTICKS OF THE
CHURCH. THERE IS ONE WHO HAS NOT BEEN
DEFEATED AND HE NEVER WILL. THERE IS ONE
WHO PUT ONE FOOT ON DEATH AND THE OTHER
FOOT ON THE GRAVE AND HE WALKED OUT WITH
THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD. AND WE
ARE NOT GIVEN THE PERMISSION TO PREACH A
VERSION OF JESUS THAT HAS NO AUTHORITY
THAT HAS NO POWER. HIS NAME IS ABOVE
EVERY OTHER NAME. [screaming] AND THERE
IS A NAME THAT'S ABOVE CANCER. IT IS
ABOVE DEPRESSION. IT [screaming] IS
ABOVE DIABETES. I CAME TO PREACH HIM. I
CAME TO LIFT HIM UP. I CAME TO TELL YOU
HE WILL PUT THE DEVIL OUT OF BUSINESS. [applause]
And so you're all in the Old Testament
>> cuz the Old Testament is preparing you
for the revelation of what it was really
all about
because the fulfillment of the anointing
in the Old Testament. It's the oil that
came on them. It was a tangible
visible sign of the approval
of the affirmation.
of the activation of God.
God said, "That's my prophet. Anoint
him." God said, "That's my king. Go
anoint him." God said, "That's my
priest. Go anoint them."
Everybody used by God was anointed by
God. Because no one anoint No one used
by God can do what God's called them to
You flip from the old covenant to the new.
[snorts] And there is this man named Jesus
Jesus
who was born through Mary's virgin womb.
And the Bible says in Matthew 3
that the Holy Ghost
came on him when his Nazarene body
pierced through the water of the Jordan
River and he came up out of that water.
The Bible said the dove, the Holy Spirit
in the form of a dove came. Uh-huh. and
rested on Jesus. Can I tell you
something about that? I don't read one
place where the dove ever lifted.
>> I'm going to preach right here cuz we
got a lot of people who think he's a
Sunday morning dove. I'm going to tell
you right now, this dove when he gets on
you, if you'll let him, HE'LL STAY A
WHILE. NOW, YOU CAN'T TAKE HIM TO PLACES
that doves don't live and want him to
stay. AND YOU CAN'T HANG AROUND DEAD
THINGS and want the dove to stay. BUT IF
THE DOVE MEANS SOMETHING TO YOU, THE
HOLY GHOST CAN COME UP ON. YOU DON'T
HAVE TO GRIEVE HIM. YOU DON'T HAVE TO
WISH HIM AWAY. YOU CAN HAVE THE DOVE IN
CHURCH. I PLAN ON CARRYING THE DOVE WITH
ME WHEN I GO TO LUNCH TODAY. I'M GOING
TO WAKE UP IN THE MORNING WITH THE DOVE.
I'M GOING TO GO TO BED TONIGHT WITH THE
DOVE. THE DOVE, THE HOLY SPIRIT IS NOT
SOMETHING YOU HAVE WHEN YOU COME TO
CHURCH. MY GOD, THIS IS NOT A SUNDAY
MORNING JESUS. THIS IS A WEEKLY. THIS IS
A MONTHLY. THIS IS ALL THE DAYS OF MY
LIFE I WILL KNOW HIM. [cheering] [applause]
>> And when we come into the New Testament,
Jesus is the prophet, priest, and king
wrapped up into one man. In fact, I
could take you to one chapter where he's
all three. I don't have to go through
all the gospels. In John 11, when
Lazarus died, the prophet in Jesus said,
"He is not dead, but he shall live." The
priest in Jesus wept because he's a
priest that can be touched with the

And the Bible says this in Acts 10:38.
How God
PETER IS PREACHING THE GOSPEL TO THE
GENTILE HOUSE OF CORNELIUS. AND HE'S
EXPLAINING WHO THIS MAN JESUS IS. And
here's what he says in Acts 10:38. How
God anointed Jesus
of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost who went
about doing signs
and wonders.
Glory to God. Do you understand this?
That Jesus being the son of God in the
He wasn't showing us what privilege
looked like.
He was showing us the protocol.
What do you mean? I am telling you Jesus
was trying to show us protocol. This
this is how we are to live. We are to
live anointed by the Holy Ghost walking
around in the name of Jesus doing what
Jesus did while he was on planet Earth.

Jesus did
because he was Jesus. And Jesus said, "I

passing it is such a loaded statement.
His body
is the church. Now,

I don't walk around saying or hearing
the body of Jesus.
I walk around hearing and saying we are
the body of Christ.

Because the body of Christ
is the body of the anointed one.
That's what Christ means. Look at your

means that since you are the body of the
anointed one,
and his anointing.
THEN THE OIL THAT WAS ON HIM IS NOW ON
EVERYONE WHO IS in >> Christ.

>> Why am I preaching this today? Because
John said, don't miss it. John said the
ANTICHRIST IS COMING.

VERSION OF JESUS THAT LEAVES THEM ALONE
IN THEIR DEFEAT. BUT YOU START PREACHING
ABOUT CHRIST
WHO IS THE ANOINTED ONE AND HIS
ANOINTING AND YOU START RUNNING demonic
powers out of business

>> I found this out. You can hold hands
with false religions and false religious leaders,
leaders,
sing spiritual kumbaya,
and everybody in the circle have their
little god. And there you are with your
version of Jesus
that is treating them all uh the same.
And I want to tell you, you can be kind.
There is no place in the kingdom for religious
religious jerks.
You don't have to be a jerk to be pro-
Jesus Christ. If you really have Jesus
Christ living in you, you have love for
people. So, you don't have to be a jerk,
but you can't get it mixed. You cannot
get it mixed up in your mind. You can't stand
stand
shouldertoshoulder with all of the
religions of this world thinking Christ
>> He is not.
I feel like preaching about Jesus Christ
today. I said he is not. There aren't
multiple ways to God. There aren't
multiple paths to the kingdom. There
aren't multiple ways to please the Lord.
The Bible said in the book of
Philippians that God hath highly exalted
him and given him a name that is above
every other name. I need to say this to
you. You keep and I keep and people in
the church keep trying to sound so unexclusive.

BUT I HAVE TO PREACH HIM [laughter] AND
THAT MAKES ME EXCLUSIVE BECAUSE IF I
STAND UP AND PREACH MUHAMMAD, [laughter]
IF I STAND UP AND PREACH BUDDHA, IF I
STAND UP AND TALK ABOUT THE SHRINE OF
KRISHNA, IF I STAND UP AND TALK ABOUT
COUNTING ROSARIES, I'M TELLING YOU,
PEOPLE ARE GOING TO LOSE THEIR SOUL.
THERE IS ONLY ONE NAME UNDER HEAVEN
GIVEN AMONG MEN WHEREBY WE CAN BE SAVED.
SAY IT WITH LOVE. SAY IT WITH
COMPASSION. SAY IT WITH TEARS IN YOUR
EYES. BUT SAY IT WITH A BACKBONE OF
STEEL. [screaming] BECAUSE GOD HAS ONLY
GIVEN HIM THE NAME THAT IS ABOVE EVERY
OTHER NAME. THAT'S WHY I DON'T
UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE GOT TO BEG US TO
PRAY, BEG US TO GIVE, BEG US TO WORSHIP,
BEG US TO PRAISE THE LORD. I'M NOT
SERVING A DEAD GOD [screaming] IN A
TOMB. I'M SERVING A RISEN SAVIOR WHO HAS
RISEN WITH ALL POWER. [screaming] [applause]

SHOUT AND GIVE HIM PRAISE ALL OVER THIS
CHURCH. [cheering] [applause]
>> He's not Jesus
the defeated one. He's Jesus the Christ.
So let me finish with this. I'm trying
to finish.
Paul says to Colasse, the church of
Coloss, listen. He says
If it's on him, he is the head
of all things.
If it's on the head of the body, then
the portion of it comes to the whole
body. That is why in Psalm 133, the oil
doesn't stop at the beard of Aaron.
It flows all the way down to the skirts
of his garment. What he's trying to show
you is a picture of a whole body that
has been anointed.
Now let me unpack it and I'm done. I put
I have become its servant by whose
servant? The church's servant by the
commission of God given to me to present
to you the word of God in its fullness.
Next verse, please. The that the mystery
that has been kept hidden for ages and generations,
generations,
but is now disclosed or made known
to the Lord's people.
You and I are to be in a possession of knowledge.
>> Well, I don't know what the answer is
I I make it a little more personal.
Elbow karate chop. Holler, scream in
their ear. Talk to your neighbor right
now. Come on. Tell them you're the answer.

>> Now you say, "No, I'm not the answer."
Jesus is the answer. He better be living

with the power of the Holy Ghost to manifest

Christ in the earth. If the church shuts
Jesus down and doesn't let

does, ready for this, who will?
>> You think that's coming out of Washington?
It ain't happening.
Well, there's a revival going on with
conservatism. I'm telling you, there
better be a revival going on AMONG THE
PENTECOSTALS AND AMONG THE AND AMONG THE
BAPTISTS AND AMONG THE METHODISTS AND AM
I'M I'M NOT INTERESTED IN A POLITICAL
REVOLUTION THAT IS HERE TODAY AND 3
YEARS WHEN IT EVAPORATES, PEOPLE ARE
GOING TO SAY, "REVIVAL'S OVER." YOU'RE A
LYING WONDER. MY REVIVAL IS NOT
CONNECTED TO A PARTY. MY REVIVAL IS
CONNECTED TO A RESURRECTED MAN. [cheering]

Y'ALL DON'T HAVE TO SAY AMEN. MY HOPE IS
NOT COMING [screaming] OUT OF
WASHINGTON. MY HOPE IS COMING OUT OF A
MAN NAMED CHRIST. [cheering] [applause]
>> You say that and four families will
leave and I'll get two emails this week.
And you know what? Save your time. I'm
not intimidated by it. I'm thankful FOR
WHAT'S HAPPENING. I'M THANKFUL FOR THE
CONVERSATION. I'M THANKFUL THAT PEOPLE
ARE WAKING UP. And I'm thankful Jesus is
coming into PLACES IN CULTURE THAT
SOMETIMES HE'S NOT BEEN WELCOMED IN. BUT
I WANT YOU TO KNOW WHEN THIS WINDOW OR
WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT IS OVER,
YOU BETTER HAVE YOUR HOPE anchored in
him. YOU BETTER KEEP YOUR FAITH ANCHORED
IN HIM. [laughter] AND IF YOUR JOY IS
CONNECTED TO YOUR CURRENT ADMINISTRATION
AND NOT CONNECTED TO JESUS, YOUR JOY IS
[screaming] TEMPORARY. AND I WANT TO
TELL YOU, MY JOY IS NOT PASSING. I LIVE
IN A KINGDOM THAT IS ONE-THIRD JOY. THE
KINGDOM OF GOD IS NOT MEAT AND DRINK,
BUT RIGHTEOUSNESS, PEACE, AND JOY
Here he goes quoting the Bible. God forbid.
Keep going. The mystery has been kept
hidden for ages. Uh, go back, please.
But it is now disclosed to the Lord's
people. Next verse. Sorry. to them God
has chosen to make known among the
Gentiles the glorious riches of his of
this mystery.
Do you understand? Now I'm done. Jack,
come help me. I'm done. Do you
understand that who you have living in you
you
is actually
a revelation
of something that was concealed
for ages.
It was hidden.
They looked for it. They tried to
understand what is this God that created
the world? What is this God that worked
through Abraham and his family? What is
this God that worked through kings and
priests and prophets? What is this God
doing in the Old Testament? What is this
God doing? And then Jesus comes and is
born. What is he doing? A a baby born
through a virgin womb in a manger in
Bethlehem. What is this God up to? I'm
telling you what he's up to. He's trying
where it's not just
a lamb who died on Friday.

But Sunday came
and Sunday came
and as a result of the resurrection on
Sunday, it testified that the blood he
shed was pure and spotless blood. And
now the sins had been forgiven.
And now we can not only live forgiven,
but we can be empowered.
And this man, Jesus Christ, ascended.

How many Come on, don't lie. You'll go
to hell for lying. How many like a good
wrestling match on TV [music] every now
and then? If you can't handle the new
stuff, go to YouTube.
Every now and then, I go back and watch
This junk you got now. People breaking
each other's ribs. No, no, no. You need
some shoulder pads with spikes on them.

And what happens? They're getting wore
out drift. They're beating him up and
and he just Hulk Hogan starts shaking a
little bit. And if he can just get to

he steps out and his partner steps in.
Can I tell you when Jesus [music] left
the planet on in Acts chapter 1, the
Bible said he stepped on a cloud and was
taken back up by a cloud to sit at the
right hand of the father.
Do you know what happened when he went back?

He said, "Let me tell you why I'm going
home. It's expedient, necessary, and
very important for you that I go home.
Because if I don't go back, there's only
one of me. But if I go back, another one
he'll come. Except when he comes, he
by this body of flesh. Do you
understand? As powerful as Jesus was as
the son of God, he could only be in Nazareth,
Nazareth,
he could only be in Galilee at one time.
But do you understand that when he went
back, he released another one like him?
Who who is that? The Holy Spirit. And
the spirit of God knows no such limitation.

He can be right here in Chattanooga in
you. Thank you, Holy Ghost. And he is in
a hut in the bush in Africa with our
brother and sister. There he is. He is
on the
on the coffee laden mountains of
Guatemala with my Guatemalan brothers
and sisters. He is in behind the but
behind the curtain and behind all that's
going on in Europe in dark places where
it looks like communism has taken root.
We we have one of our precious brothers,
Pastor Emil, right now. He and Sny,
they're over in Bulgaria. Yes, the
curtains come down. Yet, yes, they're
out of out of the bondage that they used
to be in. But he tells us all the time,
they're still bound in their mind.
[laughter] They they can't break out of
the years of bondage there in that
nation that they had. What do we do? We
just thank God that the Holy Ghost has
sent apostolic grace into places like
Bulgaria. And although the devil doesn't
want to give up, the devil IS A LIAR.
FOR THIS PURPOSE WAS THE SON OF GOD
MANIFESTED THAT HE MIGHT DESTROY THE
WORKS OF THE DEVIL.
This is as old-fashioned preaching as I
preached in a long time.
Does he scream like this every Sunday? Mostly.
the anointing is not in my volume.
But I do get loud because I feel that anointing.

What I'm preaching today is not just
another doctrine.
It's where we're living. The world
doesn't need a version of Jesus that is
a meek, humble, defeated, slain lamb. He
was every He was a slain lamb. But you
better hear me. He's coming back again
as a roaring lion
and he is living inside every born again
What is the hope of glory?
Don't get mad at me and when you leave,
don't go say, "Oh, my pastor turned into
a heretic." Just read your Bible. It's
in there. It's not Jesus in you. It is
Jesus. But don't forget Christ,
the anointed one, and his anointing.
It is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
I I thought that would be the end, but
go to the last verse. Go to the last
to this end. [music] Go to the verse
before that. Pardon me. 28. He is the
one we proclaim. Who? Jesus Christ. We
proclaim admonishing and teaching
everyone with all wisdom so that ma we
may present everyone fully mature in
who? In who? In Christ.
The body
is the recipient
Who among us in this room is the body of
Christ? Lift your hand. Lift your hand.
Do you understand that I totally botched
[music] this message? I had three great
points. All of them were aliterated with
the letter M.
He is the model. He is the means.
And he is the measure of the anointing.
He modeled the anointing. He's the means
by which we're anointed. Not one person
in here will ever be anointed outside of
living in Christ. And he is the measure.
What does that mean? Catch it. You're
the body.
Do you know that when he said in the
27th verse rewind, "Oh, I'm going to get
you a steak gift card for how busy I've
kept you up in the booth today." But go
to verse 27, please.
Christ in you. Everyone say you.
Everyone see the word yo U when it says
Christ in. Everyone listen to me very
carefully. Do you know what that word is
It is Christ in Sam,
But when Sam and Jeremiah and Michelle
all of them bring their measure, we plural
plural
corporately are the body of
Christ. His measure is in us
individually and not one of us have all
of his measure. It takes all of us with
our individual measure coming together
in corporate measure to demonstrate the
fullness of the body
of Christ.
This is why
the nose can't say to the armpit,

I hope. I mean,
There are some people in this room that
are so so and you're watching me online
as well. You're so sanctified. You say,
"Those cessationist."
I I I I feel sorry for them, but I do
appreciate their contribution in some
ways. I I'm not I I don't agree with
them theologically. I I believe the Holy
Ghost is still being poured out, but
there's a lot of great I have a lot of
great Baptist friends that are more
dedicated to the Bible than a lot of my
Pentecostal friends. Y'all don't like me
right now. I can tell. Well, we got the

to go. I don't mean that mean. I'm just
saying it's just part of the body. It's
an expression. And you are being
reminded sometimes that it's not about
how you had church or have church or
want to have church. Sometimes we're all
about him and not about us.
Should be that way all the time. What's
the point? I'm done. It's Christ in you.
And there are manifestations and
different ministries in the body. And
some people in this room need to get
bent out of shape and quit walking
