0:10 resulted in probably one of my worst
0:13 video ideas ever. I built a secret
0:16 store. Like, what is this even supposed
0:18 to mean? This thumbnail doesn't even
0:19 make sense. And it never got posted
0:22 until today. So, I had the delusional
0:23 idea right now to expose my
0:26 neverbeforeseen video where I just
0:28 straight up copied other viral YouTube
0:30 videos and tell you everything wrong
0:32 with my approach. And just to challenge
0:34 myself, I'll have to say three good
0:36 things about the video. Spoiler alert,
0:39 it will be very hard to find three good
0:40 things. First thing wrong with it, the
0:42 thumbnail. Just a quick background,
0:44 these were the type of videos I was
0:46 copying. Let me show you real quick.
0:48 Today, we're building four secret rooms
0:50 in one color. Today we're building three
0:53 secret sports rooms in our house. Today
0:55 we're building 12 secret rooms you'll
0:56 never find. Today we're building four
0:57 secret rooms in one color. Today we're
0:59 building seven secret rooms in our
1:00 house. Today I'm building a secret in my
1:01 room. Today I'm building a secret movie
1:02 theater in my room. Today my secret
1:05 house. Today I'm going to build a secret
1:06 room in school. Today I'm building a
1:07 secret pool in my
1:09 room. Yeah. So the secret something type
1:12 videos, you know, secret 7-Eleven,
1:14 secret room, secret pool. A lot of
1:17 secret rooms. And if you just compare my
1:19 wannabe thumbnail with theirs. Yeah, it
1:22 Mhm. I would definitely rather watch
1:23 theirs. Next up, the concept in general.
1:26 Unfortunately, I am not rich enough to
1:29 demolish my floor and build a pool. So,
1:31 I resorted to an online secret store.
1:35 Two out of 10. Not as exciting as a pool
1:37 or zoo. Okay, now that the basics are
1:39 covered, let's go on to the video
1:41 itself. I had the delusional idea to
1:43 build a secret store so I can finally
1:45 feel like I fit in. And you might be
1:47 wondering, what do you mean by fit in?
1:50 The way I said fit in was just not good.
1:52 Fit in. Don't listen to it again. Let's
1:54 just move on. Yeah. So, you can see
1:56 there's a lot of secret building. And
1:58 you know what? I'll be honest. I'm
1:59 feeling kind of left out. So, to try and
2:01 fit in with my fellow colleagues. Get
2:03 it? Cuz you know, we're all YouTubers
2:05 kind of. Maybe that one. That was just a
2:08 terrible joke. I'm going to build a
2:10 secret store. Wait, no, I should say it
2:11 like them. Today, I'm going to build a
2:14 secret store in my house by myself. My
2:18 first major thing that I did wrong here,
2:19 I should not have mocked the YouTuber
2:22 accent because I think I literally now
2:24 sometimes have one. I talk in that
2:26 YouTuber accent. I'm sorry. Let's go.
2:29 So, here's the game plan in five steps.
2:31 Step one. Here's one thing that I do
2:33 like. I like how I was very organized. I
2:35 was like, "All right, everyone. Here is
2:37 the game plan. Step one, step two, step
2:39 three, step four. Very clean and
2:42 tidy." Listen, I've always loved
2:45 hoodies. I love hoodies. There's
2:47 something about like a good hoodie
2:48 design with like some nice fun text that
2:51 just gets me so excited. And I'll be
2:52 honest, I've been on Hopecore Tik Tok
2:54 recently. If you don't know what
2:56 Hopecore is, you you got to get on it.
2:58 But it's basically just like finding the
2:59 joy and positivity in the little things
3:01 in life and realizing how lucky we are.
3:04 I still do love Hope cuz our hoodies are
3:06 going to be Hope related. So, I was
3:08 thinking a great name for our store is
3:10 either Myora cuz it kind of rhymes with
3:12 Viora. Get it? Huh? Or Safe Space. I
3:14 don't know. They're both pretty cute and
3:16 kind of go with the vibe that I'm going
3:17 for. So, we'll see. I Right now, I'm
3:19 leaning towards my aura. Sorry.
3:22 Sometimes I just got to skip ahead of my
3:24 own videos cuz I'm like, "Wow." Like,
3:25 does she ever stop talking? Okay, step
3:28 two. Now, typically when I design my
3:30 merch, like my t-shirts, tote bags,
3:32 hoodies, and other stuff, I like to
3:34 personally draw designs for everything,
3:36 but this time I wanted to experiment a
3:38 little bit more with text, simpler
3:40 designs, cuz I just think text would
3:42 work better for this hope core kind of
3:44 vibe. So, here's what we're making. One
3:46 hoodie, two t-shirts, one zip sweater,
3:48 and one tumbler, cuz you know, I love a
3:50 good Tumblr. I still love a good Tumblr.
3:53 Starting off with a hoodie, I went with
3:54 a quote that I think is very important.
3:57 Thinking of the bigger picture. I'm not
3:59 going to lecture you on like
4:00 philosophical mindsets, but you know,
4:02 sometimes we we think a little bit too
4:04 tunnel vision. Let's think of the larger
4:07 image. Anyway, so, as you can see here,
4:08 it's really easy to just format the
4:10 design on the hoodie itself. Once you
4:12 get the format you like, you just put in
4:13 a quick description, a nice title, and
4:15 then boom, here we go. First piece of
4:17 clothing in our secret store is now
4:19 done. Another thing that I did right in
4:21 this video was using Printify to make
4:23 all the t-shirts and the hoodies and
4:25 everything. If you watch some of my
4:26 videos, you know that I've been using
4:27 Printify for a long time. They are
4:29 literally the best. The hoodies and
4:31 t-shirts always turn out great. I
4:33 literally buy them myself. This is from
4:34 Printify, and I'm not even kidding. I
4:36 use this every single day. Like, I am
4:38 being very, very candid with you. This
4:40 video is sponsored by Printify, but

5:21 alone and on a budget, we got to opt for
5:24 a budget friendly version in comparison
5:26 cuz your girl does not have enough money
5:28 to do major house reconstruction. So,
5:30 while we are waiting for our My Aura
5:32 clothing samples to arrive, let's design
5:35 our secret store. Here is the other part
5:37 that went kind of wrong. Well, not
5:38 really wrong, just straight up a little
5:40 bit boring. Because let's just be for
5:42 real with ourselves for a second. Would
5:44 you rather watch someone destroy their
5:46 house with cool hammers and saws and cut
5:49 holes into their walls and build a pool
5:52 or watch someone press connect from
5:54 their online store to their clothing
5:57 store? Yeah, I think the answer is quite
6:00 obvious then. Like, because it was so
6:01 easy to connect, literally all I just
6:03 had to do was press connect. Like, how
6:05 does that even compare to cool
6:07 demolition? Now, here comes arguably the
6:10 worst part of this video. If you thought
6:12 the beginning was bad, this part just
6:14 gets worse because I thought the best
6:16 way to show off my secret store was
6:19 through memes. Yeah, I'm not even
6:21 kidding. Like, what was I even thinking?
6:23 You know how these cool YouTubers showed
6:25 off their secret rooms and stuff? They
6:27 apparently hired like bounty hunters to
6:30 try and find them in these secret rooms.
6:32 Like, that is so cool. I I made memes
6:35 and this took up like 10 minutes of the
6:37 video. I'm not I'm not even going to
6:38 make you go through that, but just
6:40 imagine watching 10 minutes of me making
6:42 memes. Like, that was insane. Why did I
6:45 think that was a good idea? However,
6:46 fast forwarding to the best part of the
6:49 video, probably my favorite, which is my
6:52 mom modeling the clothes from my secret
6:54 store. And she's just so cute. Let's
6:56 just watch this part together because
6:58 this is the best part of the video.
7:00 Extra large for this one. So, it is
7:01 very, very baggy, very oversized. I
7:04 think a better oversized fit for her
7:05 would have been maybe large or even a
7:07 medium. But again, you can see the color
7:08 here. Fabulous. I don't know what she's
7:11 doing here. She's doing a lot of
7:12 spinning. I don't know why she keeps
7:13 holding her arm out like that. But also,
7:15 she does a one really weird modeling
7:17 move in like 3 seconds. She does this
7:19 weird star jump. I'm like, why? Why did
7:21 you do that? But yeah, here here she is
7:24 just I don't know, spinning around and
7:26 doing some nice poses. 10 out of 10.
7:28 Mother Vora is a model. Here's your
7:30 secret message. If you don't know, I
7:31 hide secret messages in all my videos.
7:33 Just comment mother Viora modeling
7:35 queen. And then we got the t-shirts
7:37 next. Again, we got an extra large. Very
7:39 oversized, very comfy, very cute. Mother
7:41 being a model again. I don't know why
7:43 she took out her arm like that. New
7:45 modeling pose right here. And I'll
7:47 admit, I was a little bit skeptical
7:49 because I was just like, okay, this is
7:50 actually really affordable. I don't know
7:52 if it's going to like print well, but
7:53 trust me, the print turned out so nice.
7:55 The I don't know why she jumped like
7:57 that either, but And new Oh, and she
7:59 stuck out her arm like that. Again, new
8:01 modeling pose, guys. Okay, what I was
8:03 trying to say, the colors and the print,
8:04 everything turned out really sharp, very
8:06 detailed. So, I was like, huh, these are
8:08 actually really good. But yeah, my mom
8:10 said the t-shirts are her favorite. And
8:11 I don't know. Ooh. Okay, this new
8:13 modeling pose is called self hugging.
8:15 Yeah, but these t-shirts again, extra
8:16 large, so they are very oversized, very
8:18 baggy, but she is kind of short, so the
8:20 extra large might have been a little bit
8:22 big for her. And the leg, okay, a true
8:24 model. And she's doing more jumping,
8:25 more jumping, and a lot more spinning. I
8:27 think she almost fell over. And here she
8:29 is modeling my favorite one, the zipped
8:31 hoodie. We got this one in a large
8:32 instead, so I think it fit a little bit
8:34 better in terms of the oversized fit.
8:36 Again, the print and the quality. Top
8:38 tier. 11 out of 10. Truly was not
8:40 expecting that. And if you know me, you
8:41 know I love anything oversized, cute,
8:43 and comfy. And this just hit every mark
8:45 on the criteria. And I don't know what
8:47 she's doing here. Some odd dances, a
8:49 thumbs up, some more dancing, and wow. I
8:52 don't know what is going on. And here
8:54 are all the photos of the t-shirts and
8:56 the zipped hoodie for our Pinterest
8:58 marketing promo. And lastly, I didn't
9:00 forget about the Tumblr, the very iconic
9:02 Tumblr. I was unboxing it, but the
9:04 entire time I was just like, "Oh my
9:06 gosh, oh my god, this is so cute." And I
9:07 was just like, "No one wants to hear
9:09 this." And this is me modeling the Tumbr
9:10 cup myself. I don't know why I'm holding
9:12 it up like it's the savior of the
9:16 world. But yeah, look at that clean
9:19 printing. I Okay, I guess I am as bad as
9:22 a model as my mom. Actually, no. My mom
9:24 is a great model. Stop. I'm bad.
9:25 Anyways, yeah, the color is fantastic.

9:31 So, I am very happy to move forward with

9:49 blatantly copied and sent them the
9:51 cringiest messages ever. Just like I
9:56 too, okay, I have no This is probably
9:59 like the cringiest thing I have ever
10:01 written. Hello Alan, I too am a YouTuber
10:03 of sorts and have also recently created
10:06 a secret something of sorts. Spoiler

11:22 over, what can we learn from my crisis
11:24 and the worst video I've ever made?
11:27 Number one, just just be yourself. You
11:29 know, be original. Clearly, we can see
11:31 here my efforts to copy other YouTubers
11:33 just did not work out because it was
11:34 just not really me. Number two, my mom
11:36 is the best model and she looks great in
11:38 these secret store clothes and she
11:40 should be the next it model and oh and

11:46 Number four, when having a crisis, do
11:48 not doubt your creativity and hop on
11:50 trends that you are not passionate
11:51 about. And lastly, number five, stay
11:54 organized. I feel like aside from the it
11:56 model mom, the only other thing I had
11:58 kind of going for me was staying
11:59 organized. So yeah, now I have truly
12:02 exposed one of my worst videos. And you
12:05 might be wondering why post this on a
12:07 random Wednesday when your normal
12:08 posting schedule is on Saturday. Maybe
12:10 I'm just going through another crisis
12:11 and this is me just telling myself, you
12:13 know, you just got to stick to your
12:14 roots. Or maybe it was just me seeing a
12:16 large influx of faceless AI YouTube
12:18 channels and just AI stuff in general.
12:20 That really just made me realize that
12:22 now is the best time to show your own
12:24 creativity and originality. And I know
12:26 this isn't like my normal type of videos
12:28 where we do a lot of fun challenges,
12:30 some delusional ideas, but I feel like I
12:32 just had to post this because it was a
12:34 good learning opportunity, a good
12:36 reflecting opportunity for me and
12:38 hopefully maybe to you. And I know I was
12:40 like really beating myself over for some
12:41 of the cringe things I did. And it
12:43 really like isn't that deep. And I don't
12:45 think I'm normally that harsh on myself.
12:48 I hope it came across more so as like
12:49 constructive criticism, but I still
12:51 tried to keep it somewhat light-hearted.
12:53 I don't know. It's hard to find that
12:54 balance, you know? But that is me when I
12:56 tried to copy other viral YouTube
12:58 channels' videos and ideas. It went very
13:01 wrong. As you can see, it just it went
13:04 posting this will hopefully allow others
13:05 to see that, you know, we all have ups
13:07 and downs as creatives. Times where we
13:09 doubt our originality and creativity.
13:11 So, after seeing that monstrosity of a
13:13 video that I did, hopefully we all just
13:15 get a little bit more confidence in our
13:17 originality. I feel like I said
13:19 originality like 30 times in this video.
13:21 But yeah, that was my very casual,
13:23 candid outro. Again, not my normal type
13:26 of videos. I know. I'm sorry. We are
