knowledge about your
audience or your learners. This is very
important in the sense that uh knowing
the people whom you are going to be teaching
later on or whom you are going
to facilitate learning would uh make you
would make the job of planning their
lessons become easier because you are
now familiar or you are aware of the
things that your uh that your
learners actually possess. Why we need
to uh at least be able to know what to
expect about our uh learners. Okay. So
you have you are done with the design of
your lesson plans and uh I have emphasize
some of the things that you
need to be uh except for one I think
there is one group from among the three
sections I am handling that uh I commend
because they really did their job of uh
of brainstorming how they can present
their lesson plans well. Okay. Like
what I mentioned about uh a while ago,
if you will be able to understand your learners
better, you are going to be
assured that the training you are going to impart
to your learners will be
achieved. at the same time the delivery
of the of the topic would be uh easier
for them also to understand and remember
later on because the reason why they
would be asking you for your expertise
in uh in sharing your knowledge to them
is that they do not know how they can uh how
they can solve that uh problem that
you are going to be uh facilitating by imparting
your learning. Okay. So, this
is going to be the content of your
module 3. And my dear students, I hope
that you have a pen or maybe you if in
your gadgets, you can uh you can jet
down the three questions I have in mind
and uh these three questions are uh
my class is actually a Thursday so I'm
going to be giving you until Tuesday to submit
. There are three activities I'll
be asking you to work on. I don't
because the first two sections I told
them to submit it this Friday. But in
your case because my class with you is
actually uh happening every Thursday, I
will be giving you also until Tuesday of
Okay. So, uh jut down then or take the
take or you are to write down instead
the questions. There are three questions
that I am going to be dictating. This is
going to be uh answered by using a
yellow pod. So you my class
representative from your section may I
ask your indulgent son to collect and
then alphabetically arrange the ah
the submission of your classmate so
that uh it will not be difficult also also
for me to uh to check and at the
same time record later on the
activities. Okay. So in your paper, I
want you to be writing here or answering
the three questions. The first one is
why should you find out about the audience?

And then number two, were you able to
get that?
Okay. Number two,
how can you find out about the learners?
How can you find out about the learners?
And then the last one is what rewards
can be gotten from knowing
the audience. what rewards can be gotten
from knowing the audience
so those are questions that are actually guiding
it will guide you on how you will
reflect uh with regards the
audience that you are or the learners
that you are going to teach later on
okay so uh that would be the first task
and uh all of this will be uh will be submitted the
deadline for this is until
Tuesday So you can have uh enough time
to reflect about the three questions I have
given you. Now uh the next task to
begin our module 3 my dear students can be
answered now because what you're
going to do here is only to uh to
describe what you feel. There are
emoticons in your graphic organizer. You
can actually tick. There's no need for
you to uh explain except for some
because there are four questions here
and uh I know there are some questions
that would also be needed. Maybe a
sentence would be enough to uh respond
on the graphic organizer. But as I
mentioned this can be submitted until
Tuesday okay so we now be moving on with
the content of your module 3.
Why do I need okay as a as a future
teacher or as a future facilitator of
learning what are the things that I need
to know for me to understand my audience
or my learners? Okay. So uh in the uh in
this particular module there are 10
topics or there are 10 things that I
believe is very important for a future facilitator
to learn. The first one is
that you need to remember that your
learners are adults and that they have uh
they have already experienced so much
in life
because knowing you need to know what
particular experiences did they have already
already
say for how are you going to do that
in your in your
lesson plans which you submitted for
module 2
you have uh you have designed or you have
crafted your
objectives so I do not know if the
objectives I cannot remember now the
objectives if they are really uh
conceptualized for a particular for a
particular age. Although I would say
that even if uh there is uh there is
really what we call the age that is
going to be always put on top whenever
you design a lesson plan, I know that there
is an idea of how you are going to teach
your learners. Okay? Remember that
these people whom you are going to teach
later on are people who already have
varied experiences. Say for instance
what I think if I'm not mistaken one one
situation there is that your
learners are working in the business processing outsourcing
area. Okay. So you everybody knows that
people who works in BPO
actually are coming from different ah different
different
how do you call this different uh
programs different vo some of them most
probably uh graduated with uh with
masters already others are all uh others
have PhD or most probably they are
working they they have uh completed
their medical
and so and so forth. So you have to uh
you have to think what particular people like
for instance this BPO is from I'll think
of uh what are the different BPOS
that we have I
can uh wait one is teleperformance say
for instance so who are the who are the
employees of a teleperformance company
so you need to know okay and then the
second one is that your learners have
skills they have developed their skills
because they are already adults. So what
are the skills of your participants?
That way when you will be presenting the
lesson plans to them uh the plan that
you have designed for them it will be valuable
okay because you do not just
teach simply because you wanted them to
listen to you. is not pedagogical
learning it's undragogical okay so you
just have to remember that then the
third one they have already uh they have ah they have uh
they have instilled in them certain
attitudes you know our parents are
actually instilling uh within us
behaviors at home and then we develop
the attitudes outside. Okay. Once we are
we are uh once we are plans into the uh the
environment the attitude also
changes. So you must understand that
your learners possess attitudes. Okay.
And then the fifth one I already
mentioned this a while back they are
knowledgeable. That's why they are
working. Maybe some of them have uh have
achieved something in their lives. Okay.
Because uh if if uh the learners are now
adults, uh it means to say they have
already achieved something for
themselves. Okay. You look at
yourselves. My my students most probably
are age at 20 21 something like that.
And I know that my students are already knowledgeable.
knowledgeable.
And then the sixth one that you have to
consider is that your learners are
having their own jobs or maybe they can
they are already uh having positions in
the companies that they are working with
or even CEOs of their own companies.
Okay. So knowing that these individuals
are uh are stable when it comes to their uh
occupational status then considering
that particular aspect of their lives would
be would make your uh your
presentation of their lesson become
easier also because it will not only be
for the uh for the learners that you are
preparing your uh lesson but also for
yourself because you know if you are uh
if you are not going to be looking into
this particular area or aspect of their
lives you might be lost uh in a way in
the sense that you you might be caught
off guard on how uh on how smart these
people are because of the things that
they have possessed due to their years
of exposure to the things that I just
mentioned about. Okay. The seventh
uh thing to consider is that they have
they are educated.
Okay. I mention the while back some of
them most probably do not just I did not
settle for the bachelor's degree only.
Some of them may have uh may have added
uh more laurels into their cup by by
completing their M or their PhDs or even have
enrolled in skilled in skills or
certification uh courses. That way they
can also uh they can also become better
as individuals so they are educated.
The next one is that this is the most
important one.
since they are now adults meaning to say
they have uh new responsibilities unlike
if you are a student the ordinary student
because for the ordinary student
their responsibilities the prime
responsibility is to is to do the things that
the teachers are asking them so
that they are going to be given a mark of
of
But for theult
responsibilities would vary from
instance some of them are already
married or they have chosen to be to singlehandedly
singlehandedly
raise a child or uh maybe they are also
individuals who have uh decided not to
have their own children or
commit to a partner. Aside from that,
they also are responsible on the things
that they need like say for instance
they need to ensure that they have roof
on their head they are cloth they eat uh
at least three times a day and also uh
some of you would would always say
because they are young maybe they can they can go on traveling
because you
know when you are uh when you get older
uh there are a lot of things that would uh
that would pain you. Okay? Like say
for instance uh uh ache in your back,
achee and so on and so forth. So those
are things that would most probably
deter your uh your learners. So you have
to also look into these particular
things. However, your learners have
needs. What would be the first need that
they have? They need training. They do
n't know anything about that. That is
why they want you to facilitate learning to
them so that when they are going to be anchored
into this kind of burdens
they would know how they can face the
challenge. Okay.
you to make that the skills that you are
going to impart
to your learners would be
supportive of the assistance that
they need with regards to the skills. Okay.
And then uh I think the last one the
last thing to consider when you when you
would be uh listing down because with
the activity here is that you are going to
create at least five profiles
individually okay make sure that the uh that
the audience is already mentioned
in your uh lesson plans. you have your
of you actually have a group and I want
you my dear students to be thinking of
the audience you have in mind okay I
already mentioned of say for instance
the people would be coming from the uh
BPOS so uh think about the different
learning styles. Okay. So in the
profiles what could be the uh what could be
the profiles of these respondents
based on their experience based on their
skills and so on and so forth. So I want
you and also make sure to consider what would
be the training need that they uh
that you must impart to them based on
the topic you have chosen for your
group. Now since the lesson plan is
designed by
at least five or six I think in the
groupings so all those individuals
included in the group must have at least
five profiles per individual you must
design your own uh profile and then individually
individually
share the profile. Okay. Uh so this is
not going to be done by group but it is
going to be done individually. Bear in
mind there must be five profiles.
Meaning to say there must be five
learners you have in mind. Like say for
instance I'm not only from the BPOS
maybe people who are from uh who are
from Farflang area something like that
how are you going to teach them? Uh like
say like say for instance the topic here
is brushing their teeth. So how are you
doing? Just remember these are adults not
kids. Okay. So because to them what they
will do is that knowing or learning from you how to
properly brush their teeth
can be imparted to their children or to
the people who are who need the
training or the skill that you are
Do you understand my dear students?
Okay. So I have also discussed with you
the different learning styles that is
kinesthetic, we have the visual and then
the oral. Now my uh my advice my dear
students is this.
It would be better if uh in the lesson
plan that you have shared already you have uh
you can specify what are the uh what are the
things that you would do. I
mean to say what are your plans to teach
for instance the visual learner, the
kinesthetic learner and the oral
learner. Okay. That way because in the
profiles that you are going to share
later on I want to know I want to see the the
differences of these individuals
that way I will see if the lesson plans
you designed will be uh will be useful
will be valuable to the students. Okay.
So those are the things I want you to
remember. So each of you must have your
own copies of uh the lesson plan. I know
you almost everybody has already
submitted their uh their revised lesson
plans. I already saw the submission on
my uh on my dashboard. Just remember my
dear students that uh what is this that
just remember that your
uh the thing that you will be submitting
the M2 M2 L M2 activity 3 correct that
is your right after the plan because the
last uh the last that I have uh that I
have included in the prelim is M2
activity 2 for uh for the for the lesson
plan module the revision will be
included for the midterm. Okay, let me
repeat. What are the things you need to
consider uh when you will be uh
preparing for the profiles of your uh of
your students. So, one is looking into
their experience. What are the skills
they possess? What about their attitudes?
attitudes?
How old are they? Because definitely
they will not have similar ages.
Just like what you see in your teachers
some of us are already well in my case I
'm already more than 50. I'm nearing my
60 because I'm I'm 56. Others are still
young. Some are 23. [Music]

He was under my care 11 years ago.
That was 2007. So you can just imagine
the differences of your of the ages as
well as the sexual preferences of your
uh of your
uh learners. Okay. Uh some belong to the
LGBT, others are straight female,
straight male, so on and so forth. Okay.
So you have to consider that. They are
knowledgeable. Uh they have uh they have
jobs or they are already having their
own positions education qualified. They
have responsibilities that are new for
the people who are uh who are already
considered adults. They need training and
they also have varied learning styles.
Okay. So those are the things you need
to consider when you when you would be
submitting your module 3 activity 1. Do
you have any questions? That would be the
third activity for this week which I
want you my dear students to be submitting.

You have any question with regards to uh
with regards the different things that I
shared with you especially upon knowing your your
uh learners you just have to
remember what are these things what do what do
I expect from my uh from my
would be students so that the plan that
you are going to be uh to be doing will
really be valuable to the uh to the
learners. Okay. So, I have to stop from
module 3 activity 1 because in module 3
activity 1 what you're going to do is
you are to create profiles of your audience of
your learners. Okay. And uh
always return to the list which I
mentioned about a while back. They are
having their own experiences. They have uh they they
need training. They have
varied learning styles. Uh they are uh
they are now having their own jobs. They
also have uh they also have skills. They
process skills. They would be
different when it comes to their
attitude. They are educated.
What else? They they belong to different
ages also with regards to their sexual preferences
preferences
and uh what else? I think I mentioned
already of the 10 things you need to
remember for you to be guided on the
writing of the profiles. So individually
you submit five profiles. Okay. I would
be looking forward to the submission of
this until Tuesday. I don't know if I'm
correct. Wait, let me check. I know
I put this on. Due date for them is
September 26 but in your case it will be September.

even if the due date here is September
26, don't uh don't be uh rushed. Okay?
