9:04 1939 he changed his name a total of four
9:06 times in part to hide his Jewish
9:08 ancestry before finally deciding on
9:10 Robert Maxwell joining the Allied Forces
9:11 and participating in the Battle of
9:13 Normandy even being awarded a military
9:16 cross in 1945 though it wasn't until

9:20 parents grandfather and four siblings

9:32 he had lost to the Nazis even setting
9:33 out to have the exact same number of
9:35 kids as his parents nine teaching
9:37 himself how to speak with a proper
9:38 English accent through Churchill
9:41 speeches Maxwell's wartime resilience
9:43 had successfully gained him the trust of
9:45 his British superiors and after being
9:47 tasked with Gathering Intel on a
9:49 suspected communist Uprising in Paris
9:52 1944 Maxwell was then reportedly
9:54 relocated to Berlin and assigned to
9:56 carry out Espionage work for the British
9:59 intelligence agency MI6 after the the
10:01 war as written in John Preston's book
10:03 fall as a 24-year-old intelligence asset
10:06 stationed in Berlin Maxwell I guess got
10:08 bored he met a guy over there who ran a
10:09 German publishing company this guy was
10:11 sitting on a huge cache of scientific
10:13 journals that had yet to be published in
10:16 the west the problem was this guy was a
10:18 German National and at the time German
10:20 Nationals were prohibited from making
10:22 large overseas shipments for reasons
10:23 that well I don't think I need to State
10:25 Maxwell then took it upon himself to
10:26 secure the distribution rights and
10:28 translate those journals to English
10:30 before selling them to the West for a
10:32 handsome profit in an operation
10:34 reportedly allegedly maybe facilitated
10:37 and bankrolled by British intelligence
10:39 the only time as one former MI6 member
10:41 told Preston that the agency had ever
10:43 bought a business for anyone this placed
10:45 Maxwell at the helm of a budding
10:47 Publishing Company he named pergamon
10:50 press and went on to live a nice honest
10:52 life as an upstanding citizen giving
10:53 back to the community is what I would
10:56 say if I were lying Robert Maxwell was
10:58 pretty much the exact opposite of that
11:01 he was a pretty bad guy he's a bad guy
11:03 okay something also that I thought was
11:04 interesting is that pergamon press
11:06 apparently once had a dude named Brian
11:08 Cox working for it which is weird
11:10 because that's the actor who plays Logan
11:12 Roy on succession no relation obviously
11:13 but just thought it was funny there
11:15 aren't many people who get to say
11:17 they're a billionaire media magnet con
11:19 man and International Spy all at once
11:21 but Robert Maxwell sure did Maxwell's
11:24 alleged history of criminal Behavior
11:27 spans all the way back to at least 1955
11:29 when it came out he had been stripping
11:30 assets from his main company and selling
11:32 them to make up for all the loans he had
11:34 taken out according to Preston a fun
11:37 little illegal strategy he would employ
11:38 a different moment throughout the rest
11:41 of his life in fact but being reported
11:42 to the insolvency service wasn't about
11:44 to get in the way of Maxwell's Zeal for
11:47 power running for prime minister in 1959
11:48 Maxwell was sure to prominently place
11:51 his military rank of Captain next to his
11:53 name on the ballot which is a little
11:55 vain if you ask me it didn't work he
11:57 lost the election but this also wouldn't
11:59 be the last time he would run for office

12:02 while the Maxwells were still dealing
12:04 with the constant stress of their loved
12:06 one being in a coma Robert decided it
12:08 was a great time to join Parliament I
12:11 can personally think of no easier way to
12:12 immediately put your already anguished
12:15 family under even more stress than
12:16 pushing yourself further into the
12:19 formidable world of politics but he did
12:21 being elected labor MP of Buckingham in
12:24 1964 day before that election Maxwell
12:26 was also arrested for shaving while
12:28 driving which it doesn't sound that
12:29 insane until you realized he was going
12:32 in 90 mph not something you want to do
12:33 with a razor blade press to your face
12:35 honestly luckily the Mogul learned his
12:37 lesson though being slammed with a hefty
12:39 fine of
12:41 25b great Maxwell may have come from
12:43 nothing but he certainly wasn't
12:45 representative of the average working
12:46 class Englishman by the time he served
12:48 in Parliament becoming known as the man
12:50 who gets things done if by getting
12:51 things done you mean introducing
12:53 powdered milk to the cafeteria in the
12:54 House of Commons by the end of his
12:56 second term Maxwell had encountered some
12:58 new problems over at pergamon being
13:00 dumped from the board of his own company
13:02 when he was exposed for once again
13:04 artificially inflating his profits but
13:06 make no mistake Maxwell was just as
13:08 shrewd as he was corrupt the man who
13:10 ousted him from the company Saul
13:12 Steinberg failed to realize that Maxwell
13:14 still controlled an American subsidiary
13:17 of pergamon giving him a ton of Leverage
13:19 he then used to bleed the parent company
13:21 dry forcing Steinberg to retreat in
13:24 shame according to Preston back in the
13:25 captain's chair Maxwell spent the
13:27 following years of his life expanding
13:29 his business ventures Far and Beyond
13:31 what anyone could have imagined during
13:33 the 80s he owned an Oxford football club
13:35 and acquired a slew of companies
13:36 including Nimbus records McMillan
13:38 Publishers half of the British MTV I
13:40 mean this dude was all over one of his
13:42 most lucrative companies though besides
13:44 pergamon became a mirror group
13:46 newspapers which included The Daily
13:48 Mirror the second most popular magazine
13:51 in the country behind the sun owned by
13:53 Australian media Tycoon rert Murdoch
13:55 Murdoch had already stiffed Maxwell out
13:57 of at least three major business deals
13:58 at this point all of which Maxwell took

14:45 didn't officially visit Israel until

14:49 Preston asserts he was so moved he began
14:51 a business relationship with Israel's

14:58 donation he made to the state of Israel

15:37 the story would be published in the
15:39 Daily Mirror and blow the lid on the
15:41 whole operation unfortunately though
15:45 that uh didn't happen six levels below
15:47 ground the Israelis had built a
15:50 plutonium reprocessing plant a nuclear
15:54 bomb Factory to this day Israel still
15:57 refuses to acknowledge its existence as
16:00 the independent reports 2004 Maxwell
16:02 turned around and sent these photos to
16:04 the Israeli Embassy in London to quote
16:07 supposedly confirm whether or not the
16:09 story was true it seems likely that
16:11 Maxwell had motives other than
16:13 journalistic Integrity in this betrayal
16:16 of vunu as written by Preston this
16:18 resulted in vunu being quote snatched
16:20 off a street in Rome by Massad agents
16:23 injected with a paralyzing drug smuggled
16:25 on board a ship and taken back to an
16:27 Israeli prison where he spent the next
16:29 12 years of his life in solitary
16:31 confinement subjected to what vunu
16:34 called it cruel and barbaric punishment
16:36 so thanks Robert always looking out for
16:38 the Working Man hun these allegations
16:39 were brought to the attention of
16:41 Pulitzer prizewinning investigative
16:43 journalist Seymour hirs the man who
16:46 exposed the Meli massacre in 1970 went
16:48 on to publish the new news story in his
16:51 1991 book The Samson option while
16:53 Maxwell in the mirror sued HS for Lial
16:56 hsh was eventually issued an apology
16:58 from the paper and received substantial
17:00 damages which effectively ended the suit
17:03 in 1994 according to the New York Times
17:05 the mirror also did run a story about
17:07 vunu shortly after he was imprisoned but
17:09 it was one where they cast complete
17:10 doubt on his testimony and slandered his

17:15 was in jail being tortured by the

17:19 enemies during his lifetime though it
17:21 was rert Murdoch who Maxwell became
17:23 particularly obsessed with ironically it
17:26 was Maxwell's incessant urge to compete
17:28 and exist in the same Arena as murder do
17:30 that as Preston put it led to his
17:33 physical and mental disintegration his
17:35 downfall and ultimately his death in his
17:37 attempts to earn Murdock's respect
17:39 Maxwell ended up acquiring McMillan for
17:41 way more than what the company's own
17:43 directors thought it was worth borrowing
17:45 from over 40 separate Banks just so the
17:47 transaction could be possible buing a
17:48 bit of an Elon there I guess you could
17:50 say adding to the long list of financial
17:52 missteps Maxwell made throughout the
17:54 course of his career before long his
17:57 debts had reportedly exceeded $1 billion
17:59 the banks he had borrowed from wanted
18:01 their money back and as a result Maxwell
18:03 began siphoning cash from the Pension
18:06 funds of his pergamon employees some
18:09 763 million pounds were reported to be
18:12 missing from his many companies by 1991
18:15 which included over 400 million pounds
18:17 that he stole from pensions alone
18:19 Maxwell if you can't tell by now was
18:21 kind of in some deep Robert Maxwell
18:23 inhabited a realm of Lies many people
18:26 knew this but kept their counsel
18:28 cowardice or respect for the law of
18:30 to which Maxwell would resort with
18:33 apparently infinite funds to silence
18:36 those who would scrutinize his secret in
18:38 November of that year just weeks before
18:41 this Revelation became public Maxwell
18:42 boarded the lady galain for what was
18:45 supposed to be a few days of rest and
18:47 Recreation on the high seas crew members
18:50 recall his unusually cheerful demeanor
18:51 despite being faced with a mountain of
18:54 legal issues back at home the banks the
18:56 pensioners and the authorities were all
18:58 a breathing down his neck his son Kevin
19:00 recalled a tense phone call with his
19:02 father on the evening of November 4th in
19:04 which an argument erupted between the
19:06 two men over how a meeting with the bank
19:08 of England was to be handled the
19:09 following day the knives it couldn't
19:11 have been closer to the mogul's throat
19:13 by the morning of November 5th when
19:15 Kevin attempted to phone his father at
19:18 6:00 a.m. there was no answer then at
19:20 10:00 a.m. a New York Banker asked to be
19:23 put through to Maxwell State room again
19:25 no answer at 11: a vice chairman
19:27 McMillan called for the third time that
19:30 morning there was was no answer at first
19:31 the crew assumed he was still asleep

20:14 the day after it happened it stated that
20:17 Maxwell's body was soon found floating
20:20 face up naked over 100 Mil away from the
20:23 lady gain's scheduled route when asked
20:24 how the body could possibly get all the
20:27 way over there the island civil Governor
20:29 answered that's a good question after
20:31 what I can only imagine was a strenuous
20:32 experience trying to load Maxwell's
20:34 corpse onto a Spanish helicopter three
20:36 Pathologists tasked with carrying out an
20:39 autopsy were all unable to fully agree
20:42 on Maxwell's exact cause of death this
20:43 2001 article from the Independent
20:46 explains that the lack of water found in
20:48 Maxwell's lungs LED one British
20:50 pathologist to rule out drowning with a
20:51 different Israeli doctor concluding the
20:53 following day that no actually he did
20:55 drown and also he suffered a heart
20:57 attack the Third Doctor agreed with the
20:59 drowning but argued Maxwell did not have
21:02 a heart attack so which was it well I'm
21:04 sorry to say that to this day nobodying
21:06 knows what's weird is that Maxwell's
21:08 body was still soft to the touch by the
21:10 time his wife got to review it noting it
21:13 was weird that rigger mortise hadn't set
21:15 in after supposedly floating aimlessly
21:17 through the ocean for upwards of 12
21:20 hours mirror reporter John Jackson who
21:22 also reviewed the body remarked that
21:24 Maxwell looked to be in perfect
21:26 condition no discoloration or wrinkles
21:28 to be seen not even his hair dye was
21:30 running Preston also mentioned that a
21:33 test of Maxwell's bone marrow found no
21:35 trace of diatoms microscopic algae
21:37 commonly found in drowning victims in
21:39 neither his lungs nor the surrounding

21:44 had been found in so did he die before

21:49 is that he accidentally plunged over the

45:08 actual TED Talks gain was in full view
45:10 of the public while knowing that at any
45:12 time the feds could very well come
45:14 knocking she was even involved in a few
45:16 NOS including the time she founded
45:19 teramar a weird delusional project to
45:21 create a country out of the ocean kind

45:25 think anybody does even in the

45:41 when the socialite called her a liar
45:44 over claims that Epstein and Maxwell had
45:46 abused her according to Business Insider
45:48 this brought galain all the negative
45:49 attention she had tried to run away from
45:51 by distancing herself from Epstein years
45:53 earlier and thus she began to panic in
45:56 2016 she abruptly sold her town home for
45:58 $15 million and basically wi Off the
46:00 Grid believed to have fled the Country
46:02 galain Wasn't photographed at any other
46:05 event past the year 2016 and started
46:07 dodging various court summons as they
46:09 rolled in in 2017 her lawyers told a
46:11 judge they didn't know where she was but
46:13 they assumed her to be somewhere in
46:15 London for the next couple years galain
46:17 kept an extremely low profile barely
46:19 even going outside according to One
46:20 Source Clos to her at the time who told
46:22 the daily male that galain had quote
46:24 become a real homebody rarely ventured
46:27 out she's the anti of the woman who
46:28 traveled extensively and partied
46:30 constantly with Epstein that is until
46:33 August 2019 when galain was photographed
46:35 here at a Los Angeles in andout days
46:38 after her ex-lover turned up dead at the
46:39 Metropolitan Correctional Facility in
46:41 New York though shortly after this photo
46:43 made the rounds it she vanished again
46:45 which was of course to be expected she
46:47 had to have known this was coming one

46:51 Weinstein told Business Insider at the
46:53 time that his death makes her the top of
46:55 the food chain in terms of who you're
46:57 going going after she now gets put in
47:01 the Kingpin position now the hunt was on
47:02 The Daily Mail reported she was holed up
47:04 in Massachusetts with her new husband a
47:06 millionaire Tech CEO by the name of
47:09 Scott borgerson borgerson borgers I
47:10 don't give a who she had discretely
47:13 married in 2016 meanwhile Sky News
47:15 reported in October 2019 that she was
47:17 hiding out with longtime Epstein
47:20 associate Jean Luke Brunell in Brazil so
47:21 there were a lot of conflicting reports
47:23 but it wasn't until the FBI used a
47:26 stingr device to pin down her exact act
47:28 movements by tracking her phone signals
47:30 as The Daily Beast described it the
47:31 portable equipment which can fit inside
47:34 a briefcase simulates a cell tower and
47:35 forces mobile phones in the immediate
47:38 vicinity to connect to it instead of the
47:40 actual Tower once it connects the
47:42 stingray captures the phone's exact
47:44 location and the registered user's
47:45 identity information this brought
47:47 federal agents to her New Hampshire home
47:49 she had recently purchased under a fake
47:51 name where they discovered she hadn't
47:53 exactly been living in squalor the
47:55 tucked away Hideout literally named it
47:58 tucked away was a 150 acre multi-million
48:00 dollar cabin exhibiting the same hideous
48:02 taste and Decor we've come to know in
48:04 love I mean come on what what are those
48:06 chairs she was formally charged in
48:08 Manhattan federal court with enticing a
48:10 minor to travel to engage in criminal
48:12 sexual activity transporting a minor
48:14 with the intent to engage in criminal
48:16 sexual activity conspiracy to commit
48:18 both of those offenses and perjury in
48:20 connection with a sworn deposition the
48:22 indictment seemed to focus mostly on her
48:25 crimes spanning from 1994 to 1997 and
48:27 Alle she had exploited girls as young as
48:30 14 stating that quote Maxwell's presence
48:32 during minor victim's interactions with
48:34 Epstein including interactions where the
48:36 minor victim was undressed or that
48:38 involved sex acts with Epstein helped
48:40 put the victims at ease because an adult
48:42 woman was present because she posed an
48:44 obvious Flight Risk she was held without
48:46 bail at the Metropolitan Detention
48:48 Center in Brooklyn New York after all
48:50 these years of running and hiding from
48:52 authorities it was becoming more and
48:54 more apparent to both gain and the
48:56 victims she abused that maybe a
48:58 semblance of Justice might actually be
49:01 on the horizon at long at last gla's
49:04 trial happened in late 2021 and honestly
49:06 it didn't take too long in December she
49:07 was found guilty and convicted of
49:09 conspiring with the late Jeffrey Epstein
49:11 for at least a decade to recruit groom
49:13 and ab underage girls during the course
49:15 of her one-month trial the jury heard
49:18 testimony from four accusers only one of
49:19 whom used their full name who all
49:22 detailed their horrific experiences of
49:23 being served up to Epstein and his
49:25 girlfriend as written in the New York
49:27 Times times Annie farmer said in the
49:28 statement after the verdict that quote I
49:30 am so relieved and grateful that the
49:32 jury recognized the pattern of predatory
49:35 behavior that Maxwell engaged in for
49:36 years and found her guilty of these
49:39 crimes she has caused hurt to many more
49:40 women than the few of us who had the
49:42 chance to testify in the courtroom
49:44 gain's attempts to paint herself as a
49:47 mere scapegoat for Epstein's crimes fell
49:48 pretty flat she wasn't really doing
49:51 herself any favors when she started
49:53 drawing the courtroom sketch artist
49:55 right there in front of everyone
49:57 something that Charles Manson apparently
49:59 did it also didn't help that prosecutors
50:01 revealed Epstein had apparently sent
50:04 galain over $30 million to maintain her
50:06 lavish life and of course these photos
50:08 weren't a great look either which I
50:09 think I'll have to pixelate but this one
50:11 depicts galain pressing Epstein's foot
50:14 into her breast on the Lolita Express so
50:15 that's wonderful defense attorney Paul
50:17 applebomb told Reuters that if he were
50:19 in the jury he'd think the two were
50:22 siamese twins there was ultimately no
50:24 way the defense could argue they weren't
50:27 closely close ly intertwined an appeal
50:29 from galan's defense was also recently
50:30 denied meaning galain will continue to
50:32 carry out a 20-year prison sentence at
50:35 fcl Tallahassee well unless she gets
50:38 Abed first Maxwell for her part stood to
50:41 receive the sentence as is customary but
50:42 pretty much just looked forward and
50:44 didn't seem to have any sort of uh overt
50:46 emotion or reaction to today's
50:48 proceedings and I will note uh during
50:51 the course of the victim's testimony she
50:53 also uh did not appear to ever look at
50:55 them just kind of lean forward and
51:07 well to this day galain insists she did
51:09 nothing wrong even her siblings have
51:11 tried to convince us all of her
51:13 innocence but anyone who actually knows
51:15 anything about this case will tell you
51:17 that galain Maxwell played one of the
51:19 most critical roles in allowing
51:21 Epstein's international trafficking ring
51:24 to expand as far as it did the biggest
51:26 Injustice of all though is that right
51:28 now she is his only accomplice to
51:30 receive any kind of legal punishment at
51:33 all and she was originally immunized in
51:35 2018 if this story has shown me anything
51:37 is that the rich and Powerful will do
51:39 whatever it takes to protect their own
51:41 kind which is of course something we all
51:43 knew but the way in which Jeffrey
51:46 Epstein was consistently protected
51:47 combined with the lack of answers
51:49 regarding things like where he got his
51:51 money who he may have been working for
51:54 and the extent to which he was operating
51:56 exemplifies more than anything else the
51:59 most frustrating corrupt and ruthless
52:01 elements of the various institutions we
52:04 are supposed to trust I think I can say
52:07 that at this point I have truly lost my
52:09 mind I thought I knew the EP story a
52:10 couple years ago but lo and behold
52:12 there's still so much more we haven't
52:14 even dug into the full scope of
52:16 Epstein's operation can never be
52:18 adequately captured in three YouTube
52:20 videos it's depravity stretches beyond
52:22 what our imaginations can comprehend and
52:25 I have a feeling that we may never know
52:27 where The Saga truly ends the fact that
52:29 this story still gets written off is
52:32 just another q andon conspiracy or
52:34 something that isn't worth talking about
52:36 infuriates me there are real victims at
52:38 the heart of this thing who deserve to
52:41 see actual Justice in their lifetime and
52:43 with the way things are going we've only
52:46 begun to scratch the surface if you want

53:03 history that shouldn't be discounted

53:11 learning more about what these victims
53:13 experienced at the hands of gain and
53:15 Epstein and of course all of the
53:17 recently unredacted court documents that
53:19 came out earlier this year can be found
