In my Beth video, I already explained
the Guardian Tales story from her own
perspective, including her plans, her
grudge against the knight, and most
importantly, her backstory. So, in
today's video, I'm going to explain the
story again, but from the Knight's
perspective. Not only that, I'm also
going to point out some [music] details
you guys might have missed or didn't
know throughout the story. So, let's
dive into it. The story begins when
Knight and Little Princess [music] fall
during their escape with Queen Camila
and Night Captain Eva from the invaders
attacking their kingdom. After the fall,
they're spotted by goblins who plan to
capture them for profit. Little Princess
notices them, so she distracts the
goblins to protect the unconscious
knight. When the knight wakes up and
realizes she's gone, he sets off to find
her. And that is where our journey as
the guardian begins.
On the way, he meets some interesting
characters. [music] The first is
Lorraine, a woman we find wandering the
forest who offers to help us find the
princess, though it seems she's hiding
her true intention. Next, we meet Mad
Panda trio, a group of greedy
mercenaries who will do anything for
gold, like scamming, stealing, and
kidnapping. They plan to kidnap the
little princess after hearing she fell
into the forest, but thankfully she
manages to escape. While traveling with
Lorraine, she suddenly leaves, saying
she has some stuff to take care of. But
in truth, she's also searching for the
princess on her own. And we'll talk
about the reason later. The knight
continues his search, meeting several
NPCs and side characters who aren't
really important to the main plot, but
still interesting. Eventually, he finds
Little Princess just as she's about to
be captured by the Mad Panda [music]
trio again. Without hesitation, Knight
rescues her and defeats the Bad Mad
Panda trio. Then, Lorraine reappears and
lures them into some place where a
mysterious sword [music] lies, seemingly
guarded by a statue of the legendary
hero Caden, the one who once saved the
world from destruction. When Knight
pulls out the sword, he and Little
Princess are transported to the realm of
Lily, the first queen of Canterbury.
Lily explains Knight's grand purpose.
That is to gain the blessings of all
champions and [music] defeat the
invaders threatening their world with
the sword he pulls, the champion sword.
Afterward, she returns them to the
ruins. But suddenly, Lorraine attacks
the princess and reveals her true
intention. She wants to steal the
champion's sword. But why? Who is she
really? What's her goal? And what does
she gain from all this? Well, let's talk
about that one by one because this woman
is hiding more than you might think.
Let's start with her identity.
In world 11, Lorraine reveals that she's
actually Labose, or more precisely, a
fragment of Labose that developed
self-conscious, fallen off hundreds of
years ago. Later in world 18, she
explains further. She's a scrap of Labos
that fell and merged with the nearest
body she finds, that is Lorraine,
effectively possessing her and becoming
the Lorraine we know today. This strange
phenomenon is the result of plague
doctor's experiments. He's a human who
studied Labose and successfully infused
it into himself. Some of you might
already know who he [music] is and what
his true goal is, but I won't go too
deep into that yet because I'm planning
on making a video specifically about
him. Now, on to Lorraine's objective. In
world 11, she says, "Laboose's purpose
[music] is to hunt and consume every
invader since each invader's body
contains fragments of Labose that allow
them to use magic. However, if we expand
our perspective to a much larger scale
to the level of the beings known as the
guides, we can see that the true purpose
of Labose is to reset the world. When
humans from Earth discovered Labos, [music]
[music]
a certain mad scientist became obsessed
with using it on humans, believing it
was the key for humans to evolve into a
higher species. [music] Unfortunately,
his action made most humans sick and
severally damaged Earth's environment,
eventually making the planet
uninhabitable, forcing humankind to
invade Tetris in search of a new home.
That's why they're called invaders. In
world 11, during the alternate cutscene,
after the invaders are defeated, Labose
devours not only them but also the
inhabitants of Tetris. Every living
creature that exists there is consumed
by it. This is further supported by the
dialogue between Queen Lily and Plague
Doctor where they reveal that Guardian
Tales universe is trapped in an endless
loop. In every cycle, the same fate
repeats. Knight and his comrades defeat
the invaders and the savior only for
Labose to consume everything once again.
So yeah, it's kind of like pressing the
restart button on your PC. Labose acts
as the system reset, wiping out
everything, erasing all programs inside,
and then restarting the world from zero.
After that, we just have to wait until
the system boots up again and brings
everything back to life. All right,
[music] that's about Labosa's true
purpose. Let's get back to where we left
off. After seeing all that, we start
wondering why did she [music] try to
steal the champion sword? Well, I have
two possible answers. First, she wants
to steal champion sword because plague
doctor told her to do so. He wants to
take the champion sword after presuming
the universe loop [music] have a
connection to it. So, he ordered Lraine
to take it and see what would happen.
And that was why Lorraine decided to
search [music] Little Princess on her
own because she wanted to keep her as a
prisoner. Second, Lorraine was simply
being nosy. She couldn't [music] resist
messing around with the knight and
princess for fun. Either way, her plan
[music] is thwarted by the knight and
little princess. After that, they get
attacked by the invaders, forcing them
to escape to Heavenh Hold using the
super advanced high-tech inn managed by
Lraine. Once they arrive there, the
sword guides them toward the next
champions they need to meet [music] to
receive their blessings. And that's the
end of world one.
All right, since I already explained
what happened from world 2 to 11 along
[music] with the person responsible for
it all in my previous video, this time
I'll just go over the main story points
[music] and a few details you might have missed.
missed.
World two, Titan Kingdom. Knight heads
to Titan Kingdom in search of the first
champion, but when he arrives, the
invaders are already attacking in an
attempt to cleanse Tetris. Luckily,
their assault is stopped by Knight and
Titon's combined power. That is the
simplified story of world two. One thing
that really caught my attention here is
when we offer the invaders half of the
world if they join us. As if Knight's
the one who owns it. To my surprise,
their commander actually takes it
seriously. He doesn't underestimate
Knight. He genuinely believes Knight
could rule the world. Wow, is Knight
really that powerful in his eyes? And
then there are these weirdl lookinging
NPCs. [music] If you don't know who they
are, surprise. They're the beings
outside the loop [music] observing
everything that happens inside it.
Basically, they're higher entities
watching what we're doing in this world.
Some want the loop to keep repeating
while others, well, their motives are
still unknown. The funniest part, one of
them is literally camping with the
Tatans to avoid the invaders. And we can
even see she's feeling cold just [music]
like the rest. Like, are you serious
right now? Get out of here, bro. You
don't belong here. World three, the
magic school. Knight goes to Magic
School in order to find the second
champion. Meanwhile, the magic school's
headmaster, Alphaba, [music]
secretly borrows an invader crystal to
summon ghosts and lure her students to
her room so she can sacrifices them for
her resurrection. Of course, the knight
and his friends managed to stop her. And
that's the story. This world also
[music] marks the first appearance of
plague doctor. World four, Dessert of
Madness. Same goal. The knight is
searching for the third champion in the
desert. [music]
The place is ruled by a corrupt priest
who's kidnapped Leila, Marvin's little
savior. Of course, we know what's going
to happen [music] next. Knight and
Marvin beat the hell out of him and
One thing worth [music] noting in this
world is that night captain Ava
unknowingly joins the chosen one sect
because of her amnesia. This sect is led
by arch priestess Veronica and their
goal is to find [music] the chosen one
who will bring them to salvation since
they believe only the chosen one can
save them from the suffering that awaits
in the future. You can learn more about
her and her sect in Heavenhold special
comic episode 5 and expedition
world five. Shen City. An evil dojo
master and his evil students gain power
from an evil invader crystal. They
absorb other people's life force into
the crystal [music] then transfer it
into themselves. Oh, such an evil
activity. Someone has to stop them.
Don't worry. Knight and his champion are
here. A little bit of this, a little bit
of that, and boom, they save the day.
Once again, there's not much else to say
about this world, so let's move on to
the next one. World six, the inn. A
mischievous fairy accepts a 100,000 gold
offer from the invaders to shrink the
knight down to gnome size. The invaders
hope this would stop him from
interfering with their plans. However,
the knight manages to break the curse
with the help of Big Jack and the
gnomes. There's not much else happening
in this world, so let's move [music] on.
World seven, Dungeon Kingdom. A
competition is held in a dungeon where
participants [music] earn points by
defeating monsters and kill Arch Fiend.
The one with the highest score wins. But
there's one problem. The invaders have
planted their crystal inside, making the
monsters way [music] stronger than
usual. But of course, Knight and his
newly found champion aren't afraid. They
crush everything in their way and
finally kill Arch Fiend. Unfortunately,
the praise that should have gone to
Craig, the one who actually defeated the
Arch Fiend, [music] is stolen by a fraud
who manipulates the scene. Craig doesn't
care, though. He says he didn't kill
Arch Fiend and save everyone for fame or
wealth. What an absolute giga Chad. I'll
be waiting for your myth, Evo, Craig.
World 8, Mount Shivering. The invaders
gift General Gast a weaponized creature
and he uses it to fake his own death
with red ice while holding the snow
prince's pendant. His plan is when
snowmen guards find his body, they also
find the pendant, [music] making it look
like the prince and Koko, who's the red
ice witch and also Prince's closest
[music] friend were behind it. He does
this to overthrow the snowman prince and
take control of Mount Shivering,
allowing him to eliminate Inuit race
from the mountain. His plan almost falls
apart because of this girl, but things
go back on track after Knight innocently
[music] shows the pendant he got from a
snowman kid. Still, Knight and Koko
managed to expose [music] the truth and
stop him. Unfortunately, Koko ends up
banished anyway because everyone has
learned she's [music] the ice witch.
World nine, Raw Empire. Finally, we're
in the world where the important plot
actually happens. Knight heads to the
Raw Empire to find his next champion.
But of course, the invaders are already
cooking up another evil scheme. They
hand invader crystals to [music]
Minister Duncan, who uses them to
strengthen the Empire's army by
sacrificing other races. Aisha, the
princess of Raw Empire, who's also the
champion knight, is searching [music]
for, opposes Duncan's action. So, they
starts a war. The invaders lead by Beth
know this will happen and they bet that
Duncan will win. But obviously [music]
he loses cause our MC has sheer
determination. [music] Therefore she
banishes the knight to a random time
dimension so [screaming] he won't
interfere with her plans anymore. It
[music] costs a massive amount of
invader crystals to do that by the way.
So hopefully this action will put an end
to night for good. World 10 unrecorded
world part one. Knight is thrown into
the future, the same world he was in,
but fast forwarded 10 years later where
he doesn't exist during that period of
time. Without him, everything [music]
has fallen into chaos. Dang it, Tedis
people. You really can't do anything
without the knight, huh? But now that
he's back, no more worries. He teams up
with the Tetis folks to defend against
the invader's attack. Through all the
struggles they've faced and the
suffering they've endured, they overcome
it all with sheer fighting spirit and
unity. Their unwavering resistance opens
the path for Knight and Future Princess
to confront Beth, the 13th core
commander of the invaders. [music] The
three of them engage in an intense
battle. But the winner is already clear
as we witness the overwhelming will of
the Tatis people. The invaders retreat
to Heavenhold Castle, marking the end of
world 10. [music]
Oh, did you know there's a hidden
library created by a cult girl from
world 3 and world 10? Inside there are
[music] records about Laura and most
importantly plague doctor revealing what
cruel experiments he's been doing for
centuries up until today. In world 11,
Knight and the remaining resistance
continue their fight against the
invaders in Heavenhold. Knight and
future princess eventually reach the
castle for their second battle against
Beth. Along the way, we see a lot of
heartbreaking moments that really hit
hard. Bob and Linda's deaths, Lana's
final race with Knight, [music] and
Koko's unwilling betrayal. When they
finally reach the throne, Beth is
already there, calmly waiting for them.
But before the fight begins, something
strange [music] happens. A black void
starts consuming everything outside the
castle. [music] Why is that happening?
Well, this battle actually decides
whether this unrecorded world will be
erased or not. If Beth wins and kills
Knight and Future Princess, [music]
the Savior won't be able to send future
princess back to the past to save
Knight. And if you're wondering why the
Savior did that, check out my previous
video about him. Without that time loop,
none of the events from world one until
now would exist. And that's what causes
the black void to appear and erase
everything. Because if Beth kills Knight
and Future Princess, the trigger to
allow this world to exist disappears. At
least that's my theory. Fortunately, or
maybe unfortunately, [music]
Knight and Future Princess win, stopping
the world's eraser. After being stuck in
another time dimension for [music] 3
months, Knight finally returns and hug
Little Princess. And that is the story
of Guardian [music] Tales season 1. If
you've got any questions, theories, or
things you want to discuss, feel free to
drop them in the comments below. [music]
