0:00 2 years ago I started a mobile detailing
0:01 business for less than $500 and last
0:04 year alone it made me over $200,000 So
0:06 today we're ditching the van going back
0:08 to square one I'm going to show you
0:09 everything that I bought when I started
0:11 for less than $500 so here is all the
0:14 stuff that I bought from Lowe's I bought
0:15 the vacuum from Home Depot and I ordered
0:17 all of the products online but let's
0:19 cover the tools first so I can give you
0:20 an idea of the basics that you need to
0:22 start your detailing business so this is
0:24 the greenwork 1700 PSI portable pressure
0:27 washer you can get it at Lowe's for $100
0:29 I like this one a lot I've been using it
0:30 for several years now I haven't had to
0:32 replace it it's really reliable it gets
0:34 the job done and it's small it's compact
0:36 perfect for mobile detailers so the
0:38 pressure washer this is the one you get
0:39 also for 100 bucks this is the rigid 4G
0:41 shop vac this one's at Home Depot the
0:43 reason why I like the rigid is because
0:45 it has the most suction and the most
0:46 power for the price that you pay so
0:48 we're at $200 so far for the two key
0:50 items you need for your detailing
0:51 business in order to plug anything in
0:52 you're of course going to need an
0:53 extension cord I recommend getting
0:55 anything that is 75 to 100 ft at 50t
0:58 you're kind of pushing it you're going
0:59 to have to plug into the the client's
1:00 power for both your vacuum and your
1:02 pressure washer this here at Lowe's
1:04 anywhere from $30 to $50 for a quality
1:07 extension cord and you're going to need
1:08 two buckets these are each $5 a piece so
1:10 $10 for the set this is for the two
1:12 bucket wash method in case you're not
1:13 familiar one bucket is soap the other
1:15 bucket is water this is how you ensure
1:17 that you don't scratch the customer's
1:18 vehicle when you're cleaning it because
1:20 you take your wash mint when it's dirty
1:21 and you dunk it in the rinse bucket the
1:23 just has water and you put it back in
1:25 the soap bucket to continue washing so
1:26 that's two buckets from Lowe's and then
1:28 inside of the bucket is a water hose
1:31 this one here is a 50t extendable water
1:34 hose so this is actually going to extend
1:36 and become longer once it has water in
1:38 it this here is about $30 also from
1:40 Lowe's quality pose here so here are the
1:43 final things that I bought from Lowe's
1:44 before I show you all of the chemicals
1:45 that you're going to need to start your
1:46 business so first we have a handful of
1:48 brushes this is for the interior $10
1:50 then we have a microfiber wash Mt the
1:52 best kind of wash mitt you can get to
1:53 start $5 and here is a large drying
1:56 towel this was about $7 or $8 at lows
1:58 once again and then I bought a few packs
2:00 of these six-pack microfiber towels you
2:02 need to make sure that you buy
2:04 microfibers for the interior and for the
2:06 exterior these are the kinds of towels
2:08 that are not going to scratch anything
2:09 in the vehicle safest to use on all
2:11 surfaces these here are specifically for
2:13 the interior so this means that
2:14 everything from Lowe's is exactly
2:17 $325 which means that if we're staying
2:19 under our $500 budget we still have
2:21 another
2:22 $175 to spend on chemicals so without
2:25 further Ado I'll show you what I bought
2:28 online all right so here we have the
2:31 chemicals that I ordered online now when
2:33 I started my detailing business I bought
2:35 stuff from Chemical Guys armorall store
2:37 bought stuff it's garbage make sure you
2:39 order online what I tell you to order
2:42 because everything that you buy in the
2:43 store is more consumer grade so it's not
2:45 going to get the results that a
2:47 professional should get so without
2:49 further Ado let's open up and see what
2:51 we got and as soon as I finish showing
2:53 you all of the chemicals that you can
2:55 use to start your detailing business
2:56 tomorrow I'm also going to show you how
2:58 I price all all of my services to start
3:01 and how I acquire my customers so that
3:04 you can start making a full-time income
3:07 from detailing in just a couple months
3:09 so here are all the products that I use
3:11 from DIY detail the reason I like these
3:14 products is they're super affordable
3:15 they're easy to use so even beginners
3:17 can pick them up and they produce great
3:19 results for the price if you want to get
3:20 any of these products or anything else
3:22 that they offer you can use the code in
3:24 my description for 10% off I'm not being
3:26 paid to promote these products but I do
3:28 have an affiliate link so if you want to
3:29 get those for cheaper you can so on the
3:31 exterior we're going to start by doing a
3:33 wash we're going to use incredible Suds
3:35 you do not need a foam Cannon when
3:36 starting your detailing business that is
3:38 an upgrade that you can choose to get
3:39 later instead use the two bucket wash
3:41 method it's simple one bucket for water
3:43 one bucket for soap two capfuls of
3:45 incredible Suds is more than enough to
3:47 wash the exterior now for the wheels and
3:49 tires we're going to want to use all
3:50 clean this is an allpurpose cleaner that
3:52 can be used on the wheels the rims and
3:55 the paint if you do choose to use it on
3:56 the paint make sure you're only using it
3:58 when the exterior is extra dirty and
4:00 don't let it sit on the paint for too
4:02 long this is something just to loosen up
4:04 that heavy dirt and grime and then spray
4:06 off with the pressure washer but you're
4:08 going to use this primarily on the
4:09 wheels and tires and when scrubbing the
4:11 wheels you can use this small brush and
4:13 when scrubbing the rims there's a soft
4:15 bristle brush that allows you to get in
4:17 all of the spokes cracks and crevices of
4:19 the rims now if you do choose to do a
4:20 decontamination wash on the paint and
4:22 this is something that I usually charge
4:23 $75 extra for the customer we use iron
4:26 remover and the synthetic clay towel now
4:28 the great thing about offering this
4:30 service is it does what a clay bar does
4:32 if you've heard of a clay bar it
4:33 decontaminates the paint removes that
4:35 rough feeling smoothens it out like
4:37 glass which allows you to protect it
4:39 better with a sealant or a wax this is
4:41 something that most people don't have
4:42 done to their cars often which means
4:45 most of the time when you arrive at the
4:46 customer's house you can offer this
4:47 service and they will say yes so here
4:49 we're going to use the synthetic clay
4:51 towel this is good for many many washes
4:54 assuming you take good care of it and
4:55 we're just going to spray iron remover
4:57 directly onto the surface of the vehicle
4:59 also onto the towel and do some passes
5:02 back and forth until you feel the paint
5:04 get smooth and then you're going to dunk
5:05 it back in the soap bucket to make sure
5:07 that you keep it clean before putting it
5:09 back on the vehicle now once you're done
5:11 with the wash we're then going to
5:12 protect it with a sealant this is quick
5:14 bees I love this product because it is a
5:17 spray on spray off so you spray it
5:20 directly onto the paint after you finish
5:21 the wash and you rinse it off once you
5:24 rinse it with water from your pressure
5:25 washer it's going to activate the
5:27 graphine properties which allows the
5:29 water to beat up very quickly it has
5:31 hydrophobic properties and it's going to
5:32 protect that paint just like a wax would
5:34 this is the most efficient way to
5:35 protect the paint and you don't need a
5:37 ton of it either about one to two sprays
5:39 per panel now after you finish cleaning
5:40 the tires we'll use Tire dressing this
5:42 is the best way to protect the tires
5:44 this tire dressing is designed to be
5:45 used with this soft bristle brush you
5:47 spray directly onto the brush and then
5:49 you coat it around the whole surface of
5:51 the wheel now moving on to the interior
5:53 there's only two products you need on
5:54 the inside which I know is shocking many
5:56 people have a whole array of interior
5:58 products but we have interior ior clean
5:59 and protect this is designed to be
6:01 sprayed directly onto interior surfaces
6:04 brushed with a small brush and then
6:06 wiped off it has some UV inhibiting
6:08 properties as well so you can tell the
6:10 customer that it's actually protecting
6:11 the interior surfaces from wear and tear
6:13 from the Sun and then if you're going to
6:15 do the glass or any other area of the
6:17 vehicle you can also use rinseless wash
6:20 so what I do is I take two capfuls of
6:21 rinseless wash and I put it into a
6:24 bucket full of water and then I take a
6:26 clean microfiber towel dunk it in rins
6:28 this wash ring it out out to where it's
6:30 just slightly damp and then I use it to
6:31 clean the glass that can be used on both
6:33 interior and exterior glass and the
6:35 reason why rinseless wash is better than
6:37 using a traditional glass cleaner is it
6:39 doesn't leave streaks most glass
6:41 cleaners are going to leave streaks if
6:43 you use them incorrectly this is almost
6:46 foolproof and rinseless wash can also be
6:48 used at the same dilution for other
6:50 interior surfaces of the vehicle
6:52 depending on how dirty they are so that
6:54 is all of the chemicals that you're
6:55 going to need and this order here keeps
6:58 us at about
7:01 $475 so this here with my 10% coupon is
7:04 just $150 so you're below $500 to start
7:06 your detailing business now I do want to
7:08 move into how to actually get the
7:10 customers for your business and how to
7:13 start building capital and succeeding
7:15 and if you have any questions please
7:17 connect with me directly on Instagram I
7:19 have helped dozens of detailers start
7:21 and grow their businesses to $10,000 a
7:23 month plus and I always answer questions
7:25 in the DMS so before I dive into how to
7:28 price your services to to start making
7:30 anywhere from $15 to
7:31 $2,500 a week I want to tell you why
7:34 mobile detailing is one of the most
7:37 powerful businesses that you can start
7:39 as a beginner two years ago when I
7:40 started I had zero millionaires in my
7:43 phone today I have dozens some of which
7:46 I speak to daily these are clients of
7:47 mine when you start washing cars and
7:50 charging good money for it you attract
7:52 high quality customers now eventually
7:55 you'll develop relationships with these
7:57 people which will unlock more and more
7:59 opportunity for you so now not only do I
8:02 have a detailing business which has
8:03 multiple trucks with employees I also
8:06 have the opportunity to pursue other
8:08 business ventures because of the skills
8:10 that I have learned and the connections
8:12 that I have made so a simple business
8:14 like detailing can create not only
8:16 life-changing wealth but exponential
8:18 opportunity and that's what I'm trying
8:19 to share and the message that I'm trying
8:21 to convey through all of my content now
8:23 if you're going to price your services
8:25 here's a quick guide one of the biggest
8:26 mistakes that I see most people make in
8:28 this space
8:29 is they create all these complicated
8:31 packages all of these complicated prices
8:33 for the customer to sort through the
8:35 convenience of mobile detailing is the
8:36 fact that it's mobile you should make it
8:37 even more convenient by making it easy
8:39 to select the right service so ideally
8:42 you want to be charging no less than $50
8:44 an hour hopefully you can charge 75 to
8:46 100 but it all depends on the area that
8:48 you're in so research your competitors
8:50 see what they're charging don't try to
8:52 undercut them charge in the same
8:54 neighborhood as what your competitors
8:56 are charging and offer simple packages
8:58 when I started I had these three
9:00 packages and these are the exact prices
9:02 that I used from 0 to 10K on now I have
9:04 more services to offer but when I
9:06 started I kept it simple focused on
9:09 growing the business and getting
9:10 customers and that is what made me
9:11 successful so you can have a premium
9:13 exterior wash that is here you charge
9:15 $65 for sedans 75 for SUVs and 95 for
9:19 large trucks and SUVs this should take
9:20 you about 1 to 2 hours depending on how
9:22 proficient you get with the skill and
9:24 you offer a full foam bath ceramic
9:26 sealant applied to the paint wheels and
9:27 tires are deep cleaned and the tire sh
9:29 is applied to the tires and as an
9:30 additional service you can offer that
9:32 decontamination and clay bar service
9:34 with that synthetic clay towel that I
9:35 showed you and this you can charge
9:37 anywhere from $50 to $75 extra and only
9:39 takes an extra 20 minutes now you also
9:41 can offer the interior detail 95 105 125
9:45 respectively from sedans to large SUVs
9:47 and trucks this is a complete vacuum and
9:49 wipe down of all the surfaces cracks and
9:50 crevices UV protection is applied to
9:52 Interior surfaces leather is cleaned and
9:55 streak free glass should take about an
9:56 hour and a half to 2 and 1/2 hours now
9:58 the full detail service is both the
10:00 interior and the exterior service
10:02 combined into one for a slight discount
10:04 I like to give about 10 to 15 sometimes
10:06 $2 off of the combined price for those
10:09 for the full detail price now today I'm
10:10 charging
10:11 $225 for a sedan but when I started $150
10:15 was a good price 160 for SUVs 185 for
10:18 large trucks and SUVs this is everything
10:20 included in both the bath on the outside
10:22 the ceramic sealant wheels and tires are
10:24 clean tire shine insides vacuum and wipe
10:26 down UV protection applied leather clean
10:28 streight for glass 2 and 1/2 to 4 hours
10:30 and you can also offer the
10:32 decontamination and clay bar service
10:33 here now when it comes to getting
10:35 customers your first thought might be a
10:36 couple things one let me offer a massive
10:39 discount to get customers that's a
10:40 really bad idea you're going to attract
10:42 the wrong kind of customers why do I
10:44 know this because when I started I was
10:46 cleaning cards for $100 inside and out
10:48 okay that might seem like a lot of money
10:50 to some people but for detailing that is
10:53 very very low and you're going to
10:54 attract the bottom of the barrel you're
10:56 going to attract customers that are used
10:58 to paying $20 a at the car wash which
10:59 means $100 is like mindblowing to them
11:02 so they're going to want everything
11:04 absolutely perfect for a very cheap
11:05 price it's going to take you hours and
11:07 you're going to end up making close to
11:08 minimum wage so that's not worth it but
11:10 two you're going to want to print out a
11:12 bunch of flyers and a bunch of business
11:14 cards when I started I printed out 2,000
11:16 flyers and passed them out at the Costco
11:18 parking lot on Black Friday cuz the
11:20 parking lot was packed I thought this
11:21 was a genius idea it was kind of smart I
11:24 got three calls and no bookings from it
11:26 hundreds of dollars down the drain an
11:27 entire day waste it the best way to get
11:30 customers for your detailing business is
11:33 going to be through learning digital
11:35 marketing digital marketing is the skill
11:37 of building an effective and converting
11:39 website that converts leads into
11:41 appointments and being able to run ads
11:43 on Google and effectively structure a
11:46 social media profile so I'm going to
11:47 show you on screen my website and you'll
11:49 be able to see why it converts hundreds
11:52 of leads per month we get anywhere from
11:55 6 to 10 leads every single day in our
11:57 business most of which we can't even and
11:59 fulfill because we're overbooked now
12:01 this means that I get to choose what
12:03 customers I take I choose the highest
12:04 paying and the easiest customers because
12:07 I have mastered this skill so you'll be
12:09 able to see I have a video at the top
12:10 which makes it super appealing visually
12:12 all of my prices and services are very
12:14 simple these are things that you can do
12:16 on your website to get more customers
12:18 and then you can funnel people from
12:19 Google ads by learning that skill onto
12:22 your website so now you're generating
12:23 leads sending them to your website and
12:25 converting them into appointments so if
12:27 you can learn digital marketing that is
12:29 going to be the best way to start
12:31 getting booked for me it took about 6 to
12:33 8 months before I started making real
12:35 money my first major stride in the
12:37 detailing business was November of 2022
12:41 so what's that a year and a half ago at
12:43 this point we're doing anywhere from $5
12:45 to $25,000 a month $25,000 is with a
12:49 bunch of employees I'm not even working
12:51 anymore it's passive so this is one of
12:53 the most powerful businesses that you
12:54 can start if you are a young person or
12:57 anyone that is looking to get into the
12:58 world of Entrepreneurship it's very
13:00 simple master the skill of detailing
13:02 practice on friends and Family's cars
13:04 and then learn digital marketing learn
13:06 how to market the service online because
13:08 that is where the traffic is you can
13:10 position yourself where the customers
13:12 are already searching for your service
13:14 which is online then you will get
13:15 customers without having to hustle I
13:18 promise you if you can take these
13:19 lessons that I have learned that took me
13:21 months to learn you can go from zero to
13:23 fulltime in 2 to 3 months if you know
13:27 what you're doing so I hope you got
13:29 something out of this video I have
13:30 linked a couple things in the
13:31 description that would be very useful to
13:33 you I have a free telegram Group which
13:34 you can join connect with me directly on
13:36 Instagram um and there's a couple other
13:37 links for you to check out including 10%
13:39 off all of the products I use so once
13:41 again you can start your delling
13:42 business with less than $500 and if you
13:44 really get after it you can go full-time
13:46 in just a couple months and it will
13:49 unlock exponential opportunity for you
13:51 like it did for me if you're willing to
13:53 hustle hard and put in the work good
13:56 luck
