2 years ago I started a mobile detailing
business for less than $500 and last
year alone it made me over $200,000 So
today we're ditching the van going back
to square one I'm going to show you
everything that I bought when I started
for less than $500 so here is all the
stuff that I bought from Lowe's I bought
the vacuum from Home Depot and I ordered
all of the products online but let's
cover the tools first so I can give you
an idea of the basics that you need to
start your detailing business so this is
the greenwork 1700 PSI portable pressure
washer you can get it at Lowe's for $100
I like this one a lot I've been using it
for several years now I haven't had to
replace it it's really reliable it gets
the job done and it's small it's compact
perfect for mobile detailers so the
pressure washer this is the one you get
also for 100 bucks this is the rigid 4G
shop vac this one's at Home Depot the
reason why I like the rigid is because
it has the most suction and the most
power for the price that you pay so
we're at $200 so far for the two key
items you need for your detailing
business in order to plug anything in
you're of course going to need an
extension cord I recommend getting
anything that is 75 to 100 ft at 50t
you're kind of pushing it you're going
to have to plug into the the client's
power for both your vacuum and your
pressure washer this here at Lowe's
anywhere from $30 to $50 for a quality
extension cord and you're going to need
two buckets these are each $5 a piece so
$10 for the set this is for the two
bucket wash method in case you're not
familiar one bucket is soap the other
bucket is water this is how you ensure
that you don't scratch the customer's
vehicle when you're cleaning it because
you take your wash mint when it's dirty
and you dunk it in the rinse bucket the
just has water and you put it back in
the soap bucket to continue washing so
that's two buckets from Lowe's and then
inside of the bucket is a water hose
this one here is a 50t extendable water
hose so this is actually going to extend
and become longer once it has water in
it this here is about $30 also from
Lowe's quality pose here so here are the
final things that I bought from Lowe's
before I show you all of the chemicals
that you're going to need to start your
business so first we have a handful of
brushes this is for the interior $10
then we have a microfiber wash Mt the
best kind of wash mitt you can get to
start $5 and here is a large drying
towel this was about $7 or $8 at lows
once again and then I bought a few packs
of these six-pack microfiber towels you
need to make sure that you buy
microfibers for the interior and for the
exterior these are the kinds of towels
that are not going to scratch anything
in the vehicle safest to use on all
surfaces these here are specifically for
the interior so this means that
everything from Lowe's is exactly
$325 which means that if we're staying
under our $500 budget we still have
another
$175 to spend on chemicals so without
further Ado I'll show you what I bought
online all right so here we have the
chemicals that I ordered online now when
I started my detailing business I bought
stuff from Chemical Guys armorall store
bought stuff it's garbage make sure you
order online what I tell you to order
because everything that you buy in the
store is more consumer grade so it's not
going to get the results that a
professional should get so without
further Ado let's open up and see what
we got and as soon as I finish showing
you all of the chemicals that you can
use to start your detailing business
tomorrow I'm also going to show you how
I price all all of my services to start
and how I acquire my customers so that
you can start making a full-time income
from detailing in just a couple months
so here are all the products that I use
from DIY detail the reason I like these
products is they're super affordable
they're easy to use so even beginners
can pick them up and they produce great
results for the price if you want to get
any of these products or anything else
that they offer you can use the code in
my description for 10% off I'm not being
paid to promote these products but I do
have an affiliate link so if you want to
get those for cheaper you can so on the
exterior we're going to start by doing a
wash we're going to use incredible Suds
you do not need a foam Cannon when
starting your detailing business that is
an upgrade that you can choose to get
later instead use the two bucket wash
method it's simple one bucket for water
one bucket for soap two capfuls of
incredible Suds is more than enough to
wash the exterior now for the wheels and
tires we're going to want to use all
clean this is an allpurpose cleaner that
can be used on the wheels the rims and
the paint if you do choose to use it on
the paint make sure you're only using it
when the exterior is extra dirty and
don't let it sit on the paint for too
long this is something just to loosen up
that heavy dirt and grime and then spray
off with the pressure washer but you're
going to use this primarily on the
wheels and tires and when scrubbing the
wheels you can use this small brush and
when scrubbing the rims there's a soft
bristle brush that allows you to get in
all of the spokes cracks and crevices of
the rims now if you do choose to do a
decontamination wash on the paint and
this is something that I usually charge
$75 extra for the customer we use iron
remover and the synthetic clay towel now
the great thing about offering this
service is it does what a clay bar does
if you've heard of a clay bar it
decontaminates the paint removes that
rough feeling smoothens it out like
glass which allows you to protect it
better with a sealant or a wax this is
something that most people don't have
done to their cars often which means
most of the time when you arrive at the
customer's house you can offer this
service and they will say yes so here
we're going to use the synthetic clay
towel this is good for many many washes
assuming you take good care of it and
we're just going to spray iron remover
directly onto the surface of the vehicle
also onto the towel and do some passes
back and forth until you feel the paint
get smooth and then you're going to dunk
it back in the soap bucket to make sure
that you keep it clean before putting it
back on the vehicle now once you're done
with the wash we're then going to
protect it with a sealant this is quick
bees I love this product because it is a
spray on spray off so you spray it
directly onto the paint after you finish
the wash and you rinse it off once you
rinse it with water from your pressure
washer it's going to activate the
graphine properties which allows the
water to beat up very quickly it has
hydrophobic properties and it's going to
protect that paint just like a wax would
this is the most efficient way to
protect the paint and you don't need a
ton of it either about one to two sprays
per panel now after you finish cleaning
the tires we'll use Tire dressing this
is the best way to protect the tires
this tire dressing is designed to be
used with this soft bristle brush you
spray directly onto the brush and then
you coat it around the whole surface of
the wheel now moving on to the interior
there's only two products you need on
the inside which I know is shocking many
people have a whole array of interior
products but we have interior ior clean
and protect this is designed to be
sprayed directly onto interior surfaces
brushed with a small brush and then
wiped off it has some UV inhibiting
properties as well so you can tell the
customer that it's actually protecting
the interior surfaces from wear and tear
from the Sun and then if you're going to
do the glass or any other area of the
vehicle you can also use rinseless wash
so what I do is I take two capfuls of
rinseless wash and I put it into a
bucket full of water and then I take a
clean microfiber towel dunk it in rins
this wash ring it out out to where it's
just slightly damp and then I use it to
clean the glass that can be used on both
interior and exterior glass and the
reason why rinseless wash is better than
using a traditional glass cleaner is it
doesn't leave streaks most glass
cleaners are going to leave streaks if
you use them incorrectly this is almost
foolproof and rinseless wash can also be
used at the same dilution for other
interior surfaces of the vehicle
depending on how dirty they are so that
is all of the chemicals that you're
going to need and this order here keeps
us at about
$475 so this here with my 10% coupon is
just $150 so you're below $500 to start
your detailing business now I do want to
move into how to actually get the
customers for your business and how to
start building capital and succeeding

anywhere from $15 to
$2,500 a week I want to tell you why
mobile detailing is one of the most
powerful businesses that you can start
as a beginner two years ago when I
started I had zero millionaires in my
phone today I have dozens some of which
I speak to daily these are clients of
mine when you start washing cars and
charging good money for it you attract
high quality customers now eventually
you'll develop relationships with these
people which will unlock more and more
opportunity for you so now not only do I
have a detailing business which has
multiple trucks with employees I also
have the opportunity to pursue other
business ventures because of the skills
that I have learned and the connections
that I have made so a simple business
like detailing can create not only
life-changing wealth but exponential
opportunity and that's what I'm trying
to share and the message that I'm trying
to convey through all of my content now
if you're going to price your services
here's a quick guide one of the biggest
mistakes that I see most people make in
this space
is they create all these complicated
packages all of these complicated prices
for the customer to sort through the
convenience of mobile detailing is the
fact that it's mobile you should make it
even more convenient by making it easy
to select the right service so ideally
you want to be charging no less than $50
an hour hopefully you can charge 75 to
100 but it all depends on the area that
you're in so research your competitors
see what they're charging don't try to
undercut them charge in the same
neighborhood as what your competitors
are charging and offer simple packages
when I started I had these three
packages and these are the exact prices
that I used from 0 to 10K on now I have
more services to offer but when I
started I kept it simple focused on
growing the business and getting
customers and that is what made me
successful so you can have a premium
exterior wash that is here you charge
$65 for sedans 75 for SUVs and 95 for
large trucks and SUVs this should take
you about 1 to 2 hours depending on how
proficient you get with the skill and
you offer a full foam bath ceramic
sealant applied to the paint wheels and
tires are deep cleaned and the tire sh
is applied to the tires and as an
additional service you can offer that
decontamination and clay bar service
with that synthetic clay towel that I
showed you and this you can charge
anywhere from $50 to $75 extra and only
takes an extra 20 minutes now you also
can offer the interior detail 95 105 125
respectively from sedans to large SUVs
and trucks this is a complete vacuum and
wipe down of all the surfaces cracks and
crevices UV protection is applied to
Interior surfaces leather is cleaned and
streak free glass should take about an
hour and a half to 2 and 1/2 hours now
the full detail service is both the
interior and the exterior service
combined into one for a slight discount
I like to give about 10 to 15 sometimes
$2 off of the combined price for those
for the full detail price now today I'm
charging
$225 for a sedan but when I started $150
was a good price 160 for SUVs 185 for
large trucks and SUVs this is everything
included in both the bath on the outside
the ceramic sealant wheels and tires are
clean tire shine insides vacuum and wipe
down UV protection applied leather clean
streight for glass 2 and 1/2 to 4 hours
and you can also offer the
decontamination and clay bar service
here now when it comes to getting
customers your first thought might be a
couple things one let me offer a massive
discount to get customers that's a
really bad idea you're going to attract
the wrong kind of customers why do I
know this because when I started I was
cleaning cards for $100 inside and out
okay that might seem like a lot of money
to some people but for detailing that is
very very low and you're going to
attract the bottom of the barrel you're
going to attract customers that are used
to paying $20 a at the car wash which
means $100 is like mindblowing to them
so they're going to want everything
absolutely perfect for a very cheap
price it's going to take you hours and
you're going to end up making close to
minimum wage so that's not worth it but
two you're going to want to print out a
bunch of flyers and a bunch of business
cards when I started I printed out 2,000
flyers and passed them out at the Costco
parking lot on Black Friday cuz the
parking lot was packed I thought this
was a genius idea it was kind of smart I
got three calls and no bookings from it
hundreds of dollars down the drain an
entire day waste it the best way to get
customers for your detailing business is
going to be through learning digital
marketing digital marketing is the skill
of building an effective and converting
website that converts leads into
appointments and being able to run ads
on Google and effectively structure a
social media profile so I'm going to
show you on screen my website and you'll
be able to see why it converts hundreds
of leads per month we get anywhere from
6 to 10 leads every single day in our
business most of which we can't even and
fulfill because we're overbooked now
this means that I get to choose what
customers I take I choose the highest
paying and the easiest customers because
I have mastered this skill so you'll be
able to see I have a video at the top
which makes it super appealing visually
all of my prices and services are very
simple these are things that you can do
on your website to get more customers
and then you can funnel people from
Google ads by learning that skill onto
your website so now you're generating
leads sending them to your website and
converting them into appointments so if
you can learn digital marketing that is
going to be the best way to start
getting booked for me it took about 6 to
8 months before I started making real
money my first major stride in the
detailing business was November of 2022
so what's that a year and a half ago at
this point we're doing anywhere from $5
to $25,000 a month $25,000 is with a
bunch of employees I'm not even working
anymore it's passive so this is one of
the most powerful businesses that you
can start if you are a young person or
anyone that is looking to get into the
world of Entrepreneurship it's very
simple master the skill of detailing
practice on friends and Family's cars
and then learn digital marketing learn
how to market the service online because
that is where the traffic is you can
position yourself where the customers
are already searching for your service
which is online then you will get
customers without having to hustle I
promise you if you can take these
lessons that I have learned that took me
months to learn you can go from zero to
fulltime in 2 to 3 months if you know
what you're doing so I hope you got
