0:03 So folks, I I want to talk a little bit
0:08 about hope because I I understand it's
0:14 in quite short supply and I wanted to
0:18 just chat a little bit about what I'm
0:21 finding hopeful in the current moment.
0:25 And number one is the fact that people
0:28 from all across this country in their
0:31 own neighborhoods are standing up and
0:33 are doing their best to fight for their
0:34 neighbors and their friends and their
0:37 family. You know, they are doing the
0:40 work. They are uh putting their their
0:42 lives and their bodies on the lines in
0:46 order to fight these masked faceless
0:48 ghouls that are patrolling our streets
0:51 and trying to snatch up anyone that
0:55 looks uh you know racially convenient to
0:57 them, demographically convenient to
1:01 them, we'll say. Um and I wanted to
1:03 share this uh video with you. This came
1:08 out uh a few days ago uh from Chicago
1:11 and uh it let's just watch what happens here.
1:14 here.
1:16 >> You know, you've got an ICE agent trying
1:17 to detain
1:29 [Music]
1:31 >> Starts trying to choke him out. [Music]
1:42 [Music]
1:44 Like I want to point out they've already
1:46 roughed up this guy so much that one of
1:48 his shoes is gone. Like has just been
1:51 just been kicked off in the scuffle.
1:53 They're they're choking him. They're
1:54 trying like he's he's throwing his phone
1:57 to like bystanders. Like this is some
2:01 like this is some authoritarian fascist
2:04 [ __ ] These people who are being who who
2:06 are doing the snatching, they deserve
2:09 each and every one to be prosecuted. And
2:12 in my ideal world, each one would hold a
2:14 jail cell till the end of time for their
2:18 role in what they are doing.
3:15 >> He He's shouting, "Help me. Help me.
3:19 Help me." He's grabbing on to to folks
3:22 who are stopping by and and trying to
3:24 help him. [Applause]
3:24 [Applause] [Music]
3:36 Let him go.
3:38 >> Get off him.
4:09 Like the community members step in,
4:11 start pulling their cuffs away, throwing
4:13 them throwing them down the street, and
4:16 like the these absolute fascist
4:19 jackasses are like running into traffic,
4:21 almost getting hit by cars because
4:24 they're so desperate to try and like
4:27 scoop up this man for the crime of like
4:30 no crime. No crime at all. Just he looks
4:34 like a guy. He looks like the kind of
4:36 profile of guy. And we all know what
4:40 that means. The Supreme Court had to
4:42 step in and say, "Actually, it's totally
4:45 fine for these fascist [ __ ] to just
4:48 grab people off the street because they
4:50 look Hispanic." Yeah. Running into a
4:52 funeral procession of cars. Yeah. No,
4:54 that that is what's happening here, by
4:57 the way.
4:58 >> Hey, get the [ __ ] out of here. Let me
5:28 >> The community just converges on that
5:31 spot. Those two guys go, "Oh [ __ ] wait
5:33 a minute. These people, like if you
5:35 watch earlier in the video, these people
5:38 have already risked like assault charges
5:41 by laying hands on these officers. You
5:45 can see uh here the this this woman is
5:49 is putting hands on this uh ICE officer.
5:51 This man, I think, is the one who like
5:53 slips off and like throws the uh the
6:02 Oh, no. He He gets them off. Okay. And
6:05 then he throws them there. But like
6:07 these people are putting their
6:09 themselves on the line. Like Ice has
6:12 already been shooting people, right? But
6:14 at at the same time, like these people
6:17 are are heroes. I don't know if this is
6:18 the case, but do you think they're
6:20 helping because this is a tight-knitknit
6:22 community? I mean that might be part of
6:24 it, but I think by and large the other
6:27 part of it is that people in general now
6:31 are recognizing ICE as a threat that
6:34 they must expel from their streets.
6:38 People have now collectively in mass as
6:40 a society
6:43 agreed, hey, actually these people from
6:45 outside our community, these masked
6:48 goons who are abducting people are in
6:52 fact bad. And when we see them doing
6:54 these bad things, these attempts to
6:57 kidnap people, the good thing to do is
7:01 to intervene, right? This is an
7:04 excellent excellent turn of events,
7:08 right? And I I mean like we'll we'll get
7:10 like we we'll get to this again later. I
7:13 I'll I'll be using this clip, but ICE is
7:16 also and ICE in this context needs to be
7:17 understood as like the foot soldiers of
7:20 the fascist regime. like they are
7:22 effectively they've effectively been
7:24 rendered this lawless force that answers
7:27 to no one but Trump. And um we're kind
7:29 of seeing this manifest in an
7:31 interesting way that is not helpful to
7:35 the regime at all in the form of cops
7:37 that are turning up to separate
7:40 protesters from ICE officers who are
7:42 attempting to do, you know, uh
7:46 kidnappings are finding themselves the
7:48 victims of ICE violence as well. Here's
8:00 [Music]
8:02 They don't give a [ __ ] about you either.
8:05 Why you protecting me?
8:08 >> Like these two cops getting tear gas by
8:11 ICE. Like ICE is shooting tear gas at
8:15 the cops. These are the people these are
8:18 the people who need to be on the side of
8:21 the fasc fascist regime because the cops
8:24 actually generally live in the local
8:28 community. And when you start alienating
8:30 them like this, it's a big deal. The
8:33 more that cops identify with protesters
8:36 rather than ICE, the better it is, the
8:39 harder it is for ICE to, you know, gain
8:41 cooperation, the harder it is for them
8:44 to gain actual support from the local uh
8:47 cops and local jurisdiction. And like
8:50 this is good. These are good things.
8:54 every single time that these people alienate,
8:55 alienate,
8:58 you know, the general population, which
9:02 is almost non-stop. Like, it it's it is
9:05 truly incredible how often these people alienate
9:06 alienate
9:10 uh just your average people, right? And
9:13 I wanted to share this with you because
9:16 when we're talking about resistance and
9:19 we're talking about um fighting this
9:20 regime, a lot of people think of like,
9:22 you know, you got to get in the streets,
9:24 you got to get ready to scrap, right?
9:28 And well, I got to I got to be honest. I
9:30 think that there are some more effective
9:33 ways to actually diffuse
9:35 what we're seeing here, you know,
9:38 because I want to remind you all that
9:40 like Donald Trump has gone around and
9:42 his rhetoric on what is happening in say
9:45 Portland is absolutely insane and
9:52 >> Portland is
9:53 >> we're going to look at that. It was
9:55 amazing. Portland is burning to the
9:58 ground. It's uh insurrectionists all
10:01 over the place. It's Antifa. And yet the
10:04 politicians who are petrified. Look, the
10:06 politicians are afraid for their lives.
10:07 That's the only reason that they say
10:09 like there's nothing happening. And
10:12 you've seen it. The place is burning
10:13 down and they pretend like there's
10:16 nothing happening. The place is burning down.
10:17 down.
10:19 >> If they need any tips on alienating the
10:21 general population, I'm sure Pete Hexith
10:23 could give them pointers.
10:25 >> Oh god. I'm I'm sure. you know, if you
10:27 need uh if you need tips on how to
10:29 alienate the general population, just
10:32 look at uh you know, just look at Steven
10:35 Miller. That that that dude can't be
10:38 like you you've got literally the worst
10:40 pe like the worst peopleing
10:43 oriented people in charge of the country
10:45 right now. You got like Steven Miller,
10:47 someone who would make even the most
10:49 conservative person's skin crawl. You've
10:52 got JD Vance, a man who can't even order
10:56 donuts or look at a couch and be normal
10:58 about it. And then you've got like Pete
11:00 Hegith, a guy who's literally made out
11:03 of snake oil. you know, there like these
11:07 people are completely
11:10 not the folks who can sell this uh
11:13 fascist project, you know, and on top of
11:16 that, you know, when we talk about
11:17 getting out on the street, one of the
11:21 ways you can do that is by undermining
11:24 the perception of the protests in the
11:26 conservative mind. Uh, I posted this
11:29 over on Blue Sky because I think it is
11:32 an excellent example of what I mean here
11:35 of both destroying the narrative that is
11:37 being put forward by the Trump
11:41 administration and by ICE and by by
11:44 getting involved on the ground but in a
11:52 >> This is from the account the
12:03 [Applause] [Music]
12:12 [Laughter]
12:14 Oh god, the [ __ ] the [ __ ] hip
12:30 The frog is casting dangerous
12:33 anti-fascist magic. Indeed. Indeed. God.
12:36 I like this is what I mean. Or or or
12:38 this, you know, like this is posted by
12:41 Senator Ron Widen and like this is
12:42 what's happening outside that facility
12:45 in the daytime. You got like a goddamn
12:54 like there's
12:56 it's the quietest most peaceful thing
12:58 and people are just you know turning it
13:00 into absurdity and I think that's
13:04 another effective and wonderful way to
13:05 do protest.
13:07 >> Pete Hith was literally in front of an
13:09 audience of generals while alienating them.
13:10 them.
13:12 >> It's true. Like, if you need to get
13:15 people on your side, sending them out
13:17 there to call them all fat is not the
13:20 way to do it. Like, I'm I'm sorry. If
13:22 you want people to like you and be on
13:26 your side, you can't do it that way. So,
13:28 I just I I'm I'm putting all this
13:30 together here for you because I think
13:34 that generally what we are seeing is,
13:36 you know, kind of what's outlined here
13:39 in the American Prospect. Uh this piece
13:41 uh was written, you know, last month uh
13:44 about a month ago, you know, minus 10
13:47 days. Um can resistance succeed, which
13:49 is a pretty that was a pretty scary
13:51 headline, you know, and I would
13:53 recommend folks read this article. I'll
13:56 link it in chat here for you guys. Um
13:59 because I I I think it's good. I think
14:03 it's nice stuff. Um but basically it is
14:06 going through what is happening right
14:08 now within the country, the battles in
14:11 the courts, the different like things
14:13 that people are attempting to slow down
14:16 this administration and you know make
14:19 things happen and the way that like
14:21 Zoran Mamani has kind of shifted the
14:24 political paradigm and the way that like
14:27 the National Guard is being uh stymied
14:30 in its deployments by Donald Trump, you
14:33 know, Um, not he's not the one doing the
14:34 stying, but you guys understand what I
14:37 mean. And towards the end of this, I I
14:40 just want to get down here towards the
14:42 end, which I I thought was it it's a
14:43 long piece, but I think this ending is
14:46 is great. All of the foregoing suggests
14:48 that the great American democratic
14:50 experiment is far from over. If the
14:53 slide of autoc slide to autocracy can be
14:55 slowed and reasonably fair elections
14:56 preserved, the millions of citizens
14:58 engaged in resistance could stay
15:00 mobilized to elect a drastically
15:02 different governing coalition and set of
15:05 policies. If the antibodies to tyranny
15:07 continued to revive, Trump's paradoxical
15:10 legacy may be a reawakened citizenry
15:12 over the long term. That is the only
15:14 antidote to Trumpism. And I I think
15:16 that's right. I I think that is correct.
15:20 I think that like what is necessary is
15:23 getting as many people as possible aware
15:26 of what is happening and getting them
15:28 not just aware that it's happening but
15:31 to actually take action in some form or
15:33 fashion within their communities because
15:35 those two things need to happen. It is
15:37 not enough to simply know what is
15:39 happening. You need to do something
15:42 about it. It's a two two-part thing. You
15:45 need you need like the knowledge and
15:47 then you need to act upon that knowledge
15:51 to make a difference, right? And so what
15:54 I'm suggesting here is that folks, you
15:58 guys do make a difference. And like I I
16:00 want to point out that you know the
16:02 entire history of the United States is
16:04 building up this kind of resistance. And
16:07 the point is not just so that we can get
16:10 one measly change and disintegrate as a
16:14 movement but that we need to hold true
16:16 to a set of principles. Those principles
16:18 need to be rooted in democracy, in
16:22 equality and equity, in uh commitment to
16:24 one another's humanity and the
16:26 betterment of our world. Because just as
16:28 we should always seek to better
16:30 ourselves, so too should we seek to
16:32 better our world. you know, kind of that
16:34 age-old adage of like, you know, leave
16:36 leave a space better than what how you
16:40 found it, right? And I want to point out
16:42 that if you're feeling a bit down right
16:45 now, if you are still feeling, oh man,
16:47 maybe maybe this whole democratic
16:50 experiment has failed, I would encourage
16:52 you to read, you know, maybe for the
16:55 first time ever, I would encourage you
17:00 to read this se uh section of uh
17:03 Menchious Moldbugs
17:04 thinking. For those of you who don't
17:08 know who Menches uh Y Goldbug is, that
17:12 is the pen name of one Curtis Yarvin.
17:16 And Curtis Yarvin is, you know, kind of
17:20 the fascist thinker of the moment. He is
17:22 the guy who as Trump was coming into
17:24 office had the ear of many of these
17:27 technocratic billionaires, had the ear
17:30 of many conservative politicians and was
17:32 writing essentially that what Trump
17:34 needed to do was to come in and start
17:38 the Holocaust. And I'm not I'm not I'm
17:39 not being facitious here. I'm not being
17:42 hyperbolic here. um he he was literally
17:45 calling for execution chambers to
17:49 expedite the uh killing of political
17:51 dissident and journalists. Right? This
17:56 was kind of his thinking, right? He is
18:00 um a disgusting fascist who has somehow
18:04 been allowed to uh exist within the
18:07 current academic
18:09 thinkers that uh have hold influence.
18:12 Hex Seth pulled a sorry Sarge. You told
18:14 me to call our generals fat cool cats,
18:16 but I thought you wanted me to call them
18:20 fat cold. P word for cats. Oh, sorry Sarge.
18:20 Sarge.
18:23 >> It's true. Kly, thank you for the $10
18:25 super chat. And Saki Tanuki, thanks for
18:26 the five tier one subs. I'll lick I'll
18:27 look at that link when we're done with
18:31 this segment. But I wanted to read out
18:33 what Curtis Yarvin is saying about this
18:36 particular moment in time because I
18:38 think you guys will uh take some hope
18:42 from it. All right. The second Trump
18:44 revolution, like the first, is failing.
18:46 It is failing because it deserves to
18:48 fail. It is failing because it spends
18:50 all its time patting itself on the back.
18:53 It is failing because its true mission
18:56 which neither it nor less its supporters
18:59 understand is still far beyond its reach
19:02 as algebra is beyond a cat because the
19:04 vengeance meditated out after its
19:06 failure will dwarf the vengeance after
19:08 2020 because the successes of the second
19:10 revolution are so much greater than the
19:13 first. I feel that I personally have to
19:15 start thinking realistically about how
19:18 to flee the country. Everyone else in in
19:20 a similar position should have a 2029
19:23 plan as well. It's not even clear that
19:26 it will wait until 2029. Losing the
19:27 Congress will instantly put the
19:29 administration on the defensive. Here is
19:31 a Twitter exchange that captures the
19:33 situation perfectly. First, Steven
19:36 Miller of Homeland Security. And there's
19:38 a screenshot of Steven Miller saying the
19:42 issue before is now God. Steven Miller
19:45 can't even [ __ ] tweet, right? The
19:49 issue before is now is very simple and
19:51 clear. There is a large and growing
19:53 movement of left-wing terrorism in this
19:55 country. It is well organized and funded
19:56 and it is shielded by far-left
19:59 democratic democrat jud judges,
20:01 prosecutors, and attorneys general. the
20:03 only remedy is to use legitimate state
20:05 power to dismantle terrorism and terror
20:07 networks. In which he's talking about
20:10 using, you know, the federal government
20:14 to dismantle the the judiciary and and
20:18 and like the state judiciaries, I guess,
20:20 because, you know, he's a deeply
20:22 unserious person. Uh, quote, "When you
20:24 see clips of uh we're back to Yarvin
20:27 now. When you see clips of masked DHS
20:30 goons hauling off some equally masked
20:32 anarchist, you may be tempted to cheer.
20:36 Don't. Yes, charges will be filed. No,
20:37 it will not harm the anarchist. It will
20:39 make his day, his year, and maybe his
20:41 life. All the money and power in the
20:43 world will be at his defense. He will
20:45 not even need to lift a finger to
20:47 organize his own lawyers, much less pay
20:49 them. In the end, as with many of the
20:51 BLM riers, he will probably be well
20:53 compensated with taxpayer funds for his
20:55 trouble. Not to mention all the [ __ ]
20:59 and/or dick uh she or he will as a
21:02 martyr be entitled to. For the Islamist,
21:04 this reward is only in heaven, but for
21:07 the leftist, it comes on earth. Just I'm
21:09 sorry, the [ __ ] the [ __ ] rampant
21:13 inceldum that is uh like just like, oh
21:15 yeah, our enemies are all getting laid.
21:17 All the leftists who are going to the
21:19 protests are getting laid. That that's
21:21 what he's saying. He's saying like when
21:23 he's saying the Islamist the reward is
21:26 in heaven, he's saying basically Muslims
21:31 get like uh [ __ ] in heaven but leftists
21:33 get [ __ ] on earth. That's essentially
21:37 what he's saying. And it's, you know, it
21:40 this this man is bereft of maidens, you
21:43 know, as as the as the the classicists
21:46 like to say. Um
21:48 the reward for Steven Miller and his ilk
21:51 is also on earth. They look tough.
21:53 They're doing something that they are
21:56 not even doing 0.01%
21:57 of what it would take to solve the
22:00 problem that at much more risk to
22:02 themselves, the most they could probably
22:04 do is 0.05%
22:07 matters not. They can milk it as far as
22:09 it goes. They too will sell books.
22:11 Basically what Curtis Yarvin is saying
22:15 here is that um essentially leftists are
22:17 all getting laid and uh that this
22:20 administration if it wanted to actually
22:22 succeed in the project of having a
22:25 fascist state would need to actually
22:28 kill millions of its left-leaning
22:31 uh opponents and it's not doing that and
22:34 therefore it will fail um because it's
22:36 already lost in the court of public
22:38 opinion and really the only way you
22:42 could have not done that is kill the
22:46 public that doesn't support you. And so
22:47 he that that's what he's saying when
22:49 he's saying like this administration
22:53 isn't doing, you know, uh is doing 0.01%
22:55 of what it takes to actually succeed.
22:57 He's he's talking about the fact that
22:59 they're not doing massacres on the
23:02 regular, right?
23:04 That's that is the entire point. Also,
23:05 if you're a leftist, you can
23:08 hypothetically get 72 virgins with one
23:10 giant polycule.
23:11 >> Take that religion.
23:13 >> I mean, I don't I don't think if
23:14 somebody's in a polycool, they're
23:17 they're uh they're a virgin, jazz dog.
23:19 But thank you for the $5 donut. You
23:21 know, maybe maybe it's possible. I don't
23:23 you know, I
23:25 polycules are beyond me. I'm I'm sorry.
23:29 I monogamy is is is where I'm at because
23:30 like, you know, I'm at the love of my
23:35 life. But that being said, it is hard.
23:36 It should be heartening to you that the
23:40 people who have spent the most time
23:44 trying to plan and coordinate and think
23:46 piece their way into a fascist
23:49 government are looking at what is
23:50 happening right now and they're going,
23:53 "Oh no, we're losing. We're losing so
23:55 badly that we need to start trying to
23:58 flee the country. Oh, oh no, we we need
24:02 we are losing badly." And if actual
24:04 consequences happen, we're [ __ ]
24:06 >> Curtis Yarvin is someone who should have
24:08 been trolled off the internet years ago.
24:11 He's pathetic. He thinks he's deep, but
24:13 he's just an edgy [ __ ]
24:15 >> I mean, that yes, that that is true.
24:18 That that is very true. The issue is he
24:20 comes from like that 4chan background
24:22 where like you can't bully him off the
24:26 internet. Like he's he that's what he
24:28 gets off on. He likes the bullying. So
24:32 it it's just I I took some great degree
24:35 and comfort in that. You know, we are we
24:39 are looking at a system that has in my
24:43 estimation stalled a lot of the fascist
24:45 attempts of this government to seize
24:47 power. Not all of them, of course, but a
24:50 lot of them. And I think that we will in
24:54 fact make it another year, especially if
24:56 Democrats hold firm today. Cuz let me
24:59 tell you, Republicans [ __ ] hate a
25:02 government shutdown like this. As for
25:03 all the posturing of the Trump
25:06 administration, they hate it. And they
25:08 are losing in the battle of public
25:10 opinion, which means that they are not
25:11 going to come out of this looking
25:12 better. They're going to come out of
25:14 this looking worse. And they were
25:17 already looking about as bad as any
25:19 administration, as any Congress has ever
25:22 looked in history. We are in a actually
25:26 a very good situation here. when we in
25:28 at least in regards to the project of
25:30 like making it to the midterms and
25:33 actually having elections and actually
25:35 defeating our adversaries because these
25:38 people the people who were the true
25:40 believers of a fascist revolution,
25:44 they're terrified right now. Please keep
25:46 going out and protesting. Keep being
25:48 silly little little guys, gals, and
25:51 non-binary pals, okay? keep uh putting
25:53 on those costumes and making your
25:55 protest silly, ridiculous, and welcoming
25:58 because we're coming up now to No Kings
26:01 on October 18th here. All right, make
26:03 sure you get it on your calendars. No
26:05 Kings, folks, because what we're looking
26:10 at with No Kings 2 on October 18th is a
26:13 larger demonstration than the last No
26:16 Kings, which I want to remind everyone,
26:18 the last No Kings demonstration was one
26:20 of the largest civil rights
26:23 demonstrations in in modern American
26:26 history. And folks, we need to make it
26:28 even bigger. And right now there are
26:32 more protest locations planned than
26:35 there were for the first no kings. And
26:38 we still got 2 weeks left, folks. All
26:41 right. Get to work. Organize. Get your
26:44 friends, your family, your neighbors.
26:47 Get them together. Get them out there.
26:48 You know, I I talked with my mom
26:50 recently, and she's kind of like my
26:52 bellweather for where relatively
26:55 non-political libs are at this very
26:58 moment. Every single one of my mom's
27:00 friends, and I want to remind you all,
27:03 they're all like 75 plus. Every single
27:05 one of them is going out on October
27:09 18th. My dad, who's a trans phobic,
27:12 conservative creationist, is going out
27:15 to that protest. Like, I I let me let me
27:18 tell you guys, people are pissed. And
27:22 it's not the traditional like far-left
27:24 folks. It's not the people who are
27:26 calling themselves socialists standing
27:28 alone. We are talking about one of the
27:30 biggest mobilizations in American
27:33 history. And folks, you got to turn up
27:37 to this. If a 75year-old lib in the
27:40 Midwest can turn up to one of these, so
27:42 can you. And you know, if you can't
27:44 because of disability or something,
27:46 figure out a way you can contribute,
27:48 whether it's putting out uh amplifying
27:51 messages or coming up with printable
27:53 propaganda. figure out something you can
27:55 do. All right, we all got to do our
27:58 part, whatever that part may be. And
28:00 yeah, it's true, Travanoid, the problem
28:01 with no kings, it's only a few hours
28:03 long. We need a general strike. And you
28:05 know what? People are working on that
28:06 general strike. That's right. Go to may2028.org
28:09 may2028.org
28:13 if you want to organize a uh about as
28:14 close as we're going to get to a general
28:18 strike uh in in any any type of
28:22 reasonable time frame. Um, folks, it's
28:23 real. It's happening.
28:24 >> Remember when Pete Hexath almost
28:26 murdered a drummer? Pepperage Farm remembers?
28:27 remembers?
28:29 >> I I don't I don't remember that
28:32 actually. Folks, go uh go coordinate go
28:35 coordinate your contracts with May 1st,
28:38 2028. Okay, let's go. We'll have a real
28:41 Mayday. We have good reason to hope
28:43 because by standing in solidarity
28:45 together, by turning out onto the
28:47 streets, by turning up for our
28:49 neighbors, by turning up for our
28:52 marginalized community members, we can
28:55 and will win. Do you have the courage to
28:57 like go to a protest and put on a silly
28:59 frog costume?
29:02 Like I think I think you guys do. I know
29:05 some of you guys got Halloween costumes.
