Well, good morning sports fans. You may
be in your car, you may be in your bed,
you may be on your way to work, you may
be at work, you may be making some
breakfast, but either way, you're going
to be drinking in some English tears
this morning with your coffee. Now,
England have united the world this
morning in a way that colonialism could
only have ever dreamed of. Let us know
in the comments where in the world
you're drinking it in this morning.
India battered for five sessions to save
a test, 300s and a Kale Rahul 90. And
that's not even the best bit. The
absolute meltdown from these blossom
embarrassing, infuriating, moral
grandstanding. It was disrespectful. It
was hypocritical. It was magnificent.
The same, of course, could be true of
this show without the magnificent part.
Now, we know hypocrisy is the national
sport uh to our English brothers. Uh,
but I guess the no policy
starts next week. The toys were out the
pram. The baby was out with the bath
water. The sheer disbelief that two blo
wanted to score 100 was as bewildering
as it was hilarious if I'm honest. Uh,
England England have been good value, I
think, in my opinion for two one of the
series leads so far. But I just guess
they wanted to get into the sheds an
hour early to suck themselves off for
another wonderful performance. They are
the entertainers. Consider me entertained.
entertained.
Now, no sport you like cricket.
The comeuppance is going to be big and
it just will be because
the brutality of this sport is cyclical.
It's circadian. It's constant and you
can expect it like clockwork. Peza 24
wickets over the last 5 days and the
last 15 minutes was the best part of the
entire series.
they I mean, they to be fair to England,
they have said they're going to save
test cricket. >> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Cuz the that look, that was one
of the most dreadful pitches in a series
of dreadful pitches this series. And
they've done something to save to save
this game.
>> We're talking about it.
>> Hell of a lot better than Australia
Windies in the Caribbean T20 stuff.
>> Haven't caught a ball. I mean, yeah. I
mean, you you kind of you've set it up
there. Uh, this is the most overroed and
overwhelmed I've felt for a recording
for a while. I know you do, too. >> Yeah.
>> Yeah. >> Uh,
>> Uh,
>> it's always good when you feel nervous
before the red light goes on. Yeah.
>> Um, look, look, England's England's
drawn a test >> Mhm.
>> Mhm.
>> that they've controlled for 4 and a half days.
days.
>> Yeah. Um they've dropped three catches.
Their bowlers have not been good enough
to get it done on a turgid deck that
they requested.
>> Um but don't worry about that. India's
done the immoral thing by batting on and
sing it with me. It's not in the spirit
Sorry if that's how it is. Uh now
let's have it right. >> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Uh cuz this is this is these are grade
cricket areas. Uh people who played
grade cricket uh especially in Australia
your two-day games you pass the total.
Um the the the team the team who is
batting earns the right to decide what
they want to do. And this this always
happens at the denurement of a game when
everybody's tired. There there is the
opportunity just 60 70 meters away of of
a of a shower
>> of a beer
>> of um of getting getting off your feet
>> um of getting naked, you know, of
talking with your friends. It's
it's so close you can touch it and
there's no result available and you start
start
>> you if you're in the field
>> Mhm. um that starts playing tricks in
your head.
>> We can be off the field here
>> and that's when the batters get to make
a decision
>> about what to do. And and let's make no
mistake um batting on for both personal
milestones and to annoy the opposition
is one of the funniest and greatest
feelings ever. And everybody knows
what's going on. The bowling team knows
what's going on as well. And this is
what happened here. This is what has
happened here. Ah, it is lobster at a
fivestar restaurant. It it it's it's
perfect. Uh, so I
like I I don't we like anyone who was
saying this is um there's there's
immorality in playing on for personal
milestones. Didn't we just spend 48
hours sucking off Joe Root and Ben Stokes
Stokes
>> for personal milestones?
>> Yeah. Uh, and every human humans are
entitled to hypocrisy. It's who we are.
It's part it's part of who we are. But
>> yeah, it's just it's just great. It's a
it's a great thing cuz they not cuz what
Washington Sunda and Revenger Jadesia did
did
>> um weren't the right kind of milestones.
>> Yeah, that's right. That's right.
>> And I Everybody's a winner here, aren't
they? Everybody's winning. like you can't
can't
>> well not England but
>> when when Stokes uh offers the first
handshake and he makes sure everyone on
camera can see that it's a hand that's
going out so Jadea has to turn down a handshake
handshake
>> full length of the pitch walking he
doesn't he doesn't walk up to me and go
what do you think
>> um it it's camera's on me walking my
hand is out
>> 10 15 meters I'm going to make you turn
it down >> um
>> um
>> like make no mistake like if if he as he
attempted to at the time shames India
>> uh into accepting a handshake because no
result is available. That England team
would be in the dressing room going dumb
>> Yeah,
>> they should have kept us out there. This
is like holier than thou um like uh like
performative um hypocrisy duality. It's
it's brilliant.
>> Yeah. Whilst also the ch being Zack
Crawley saying embarrassing Ben Duckets
heard saying how long do you need an
hour? I mean they I think they should
have kept batting. 150 was on the cards
for Washi the way he was striking him
against Harry Brookke. Ben Stokes is
heard saying you what you seriously
going to score a test 100 against Harry
Brookke who he's decided to bowler [Music]
in his piece for quick info
um he referenced what Michael Vaughn
said when Australia drew the series in
the famous 2005 Ashes which we were
celebrating a couple days ago for 20
years. sits that they obviously flew in
ponting for that and Michael Vaughn said
you know look up in the dressing room
the Aussie celebrating a draw now and he
drew some comparisons here by saying
that India will be looking at how
England behaved >> exactly
>> exactly
>> h and they'll be like well this is a
this is a win I mean like
>> nobody nobody except for two guys wanted
that game to go on and there's nothing
better in cricket than not playing
cricket it's one of the best parts of
the game stopping playing
>> so you know the frustration's awful
there to see but it's fairly obvious
vious what was going on just just a
couple of halftrackers let's get out of
here you shake hands but the fact
they've carried on so much can only um
unite India if they need any sort of
unification in this moment they they
they've done magnificently to first of
all score 358 in the first innings I
thought in in probably the most bowler
friendly conditions of the test match
um also they've played the game with 10
men well 10 batters um you know for the
rest of the day it's a great result for
them and then they get to see the carry
on from England toys out the pram deluxe
completely unnecessary for what was
going to be an extra 10 to 12 to 15
minutes of cricket after five long days
what are you doing
>> just like just be angry inside but like
just get on with it you know say
that from the safety of South Melbourne
we've sold our tickets [Laughter]
[Laughter]
>> yeah whether like you know they were
they were just tired and emotional and
grumpy or whether It's a deep-seated
sense of entitlement that's rooted in history.
history. >> Um,
>> Um, >> yeah.
>> yeah.
>> Yeah. The toys at the pram in that
situation is like it's I mean at best
it's just like immature, you know, but
it's it's dumb and unwise because
>> um everyone's saying, well, this is this
was just this superficial playing for
personal milestones. It's a five test
series. Like
>> keep guys out in the field, drive a
stake into the heart, take any edge you
can get. Yeah.
>> Uh and you know typically at this point
in this juncture in a series
particularly in England like by the time
you get to the oval if you're the
touring team you want to go home
especially if you're down you know in in
the series as well. >> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> So to give them the uh just at like a
like a like a pragmatic level to to give
India the optic of you being annoyed uh
is only going to galvanize them you know
it's only going to inspire them more.
So, it it's uh yeah, I mean, it's a
complete reflection of the of the very
fragile, volatile mentality these guys
have where they're just all over the
place when they when it comes to who
they are and what they're about. Like,
um they're a team that speaks so much
about reputation,
>> England, like more than any cricket team
I can remember and about the like the
the macro thing they're doing for the
game. But like when they keep amassing
like garbage behavior like this, they're
going to they risk becoming more known
for the show than the business, you
know, like they're known around the
world for a lot of like for for a lot of
people around the world now. Obviously
capable of amazing feats. I mean, Stokes
>> Stokes has had one of the great
individual test matches. Yep.
>> Joe Root's gone to number two. >> Yep.
>> Yep.
>> On the ladder, you know, um Joffer is
back. These guys can do stuff, but like
>> they they just have so much carry on. Yeah,
Yeah,
>> there's so much garbage that comes with it.
it.
>> I think and you saw that with um with so
Jadeia hits Harry Brookke for six down
the ground to bring up his 100. Then
Harry Brookke is seen like justiculating
for another handshake. Are we calling it
off now? You know, like and and um it's
it's just petulant. It's it's um and
just unnecess it's it's disrespectful at
the same time. I mean, how we bowled as well
well
um somehow like gets the blood boiling
for its complete and utter disrespect of
the sport and the occasion. Now, India
fully deserved to get the draw. These
guys batted well enough. They like they
they overcame um moments in the in the
day's play on day five to actually be
rewarded. Get the fruits of their labor
for the day. Good honor for getting 100
for batting an extra three overs. Was it
um it was it was like infuriating
watching him just lollipop up
some balls and then has the um the the
um you know the the attitude to then
walk up and like shake shake hands
again. like in his head I think he's
just being the banter king, right? He
thinks it's just hilarious.
>> And it's um it's to your point like they
seem to be o all over the place a bit at
the moment in England even in like their
>> like their their attitude. We're nice
guys, no policies now.
>> Hum we got humility. We got humility
now, but now we're not nice.
>> And now we got the no guy in
to whatever this was. I mean like
>> well on that point as well like they
they have this um you know uh cartel of
fast bowlers but they they're running on
fumes at the moment. Sha Basher picked
for his height. Then they go back to
Liam Dawson. Tom Hartley was playing in
India. He's not in the squad. Ryan
Ahmed's now scoring runs batting at
three. Like they like the it's not quite
as lined up as what I thought. And like
when you see this
>> um maybe I'm reading into a bit too much
but it's it just seems to me that the
team is a bit all over the place. you
know, they don't know what's really good
cricket. They deserve to be 21,
>> but they've just given India an extra
incentive to be galvanized to then push
on for the over. Maybe they'll lose that
game. I'm not sure, but all over the place.
place.
>> Yeah. Like uh that I it' be interesting
to see. I mean, it's kind of heartening
to see
couple people in the England media just
saying like, you know, carry on too has
gone too far here. But it' be
interesting to see if other usual
suspects in the industrial complex like
attempt to spin this as just being funny
like like um like Harry Brooks
embarrassed himself with some of that
bowling there. Uh like lobbing it up at
50ks or 60ks, you know, like uh
>> he um
>> it's actually, you know, it's
disrespectful to the opposition. It's
disrespectful to test cricket. You don't
want to be a pearl clutcher about this
sort of stuff, but like there's ways and
ways of going about that kind of stuff.
And then, you know, continuing on with
the clapping and all that sort of stuff,
but you know, he's only following the
the vibe of the team as well,
>> you know, and and and who he's led by,
>> you know, it was England saying, "We're
not going to we're not going to dignify
you with a respectable effort
>> and then we're going to say when we put
Harry Brooke on bowling 60ks an hour,
then we're going to say, oh, you're
going to score 100 against Harry
Brooks." Like, mate, you're bowling and
you can't.
>> We're going to we're going to mock you.
Like that's like that level of arrogance
is like like what happened there is
exactly what people say about the holier
than thou attitude of the England team
on occasion. Now like when you when you
look at like individually I look at all
the England players I'm like probably
great blo you know and then like in this
moment they I just feel like they've let
themselves down here unnecessarily. Now
like that's that's coming from an
Australian who um you know supported a
team of absolute you can't say
anything because sandpaper etc. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. But like um kind of bizarre
in the end, but yeah.
>> Well, I mean again like just to just to
step it back, England are totally
entitled to not wanted to have bowled in
that situation.
>> Like 140 hours in the dirt.
>> That's that's normal. It's not like
that. No, you you you've got to want to
bowl in this situation and like keep
competing to the to to like the absolute end.
end.
>> But you've also got to go like
>> you can go up to Judasia and go like
what do you think? M
>> uh you don't have to put the hand out
and like and stop the game for 3 minutes
while you got you got the teapot out
there and making sure everyone sees just
what a disgrace it is that they decided
to go on when it's ex and then sledge
him and then embarrassing. Yeah,
exactly. And and everyone around like
almost sort of surrounding the batters
>> like uh when it's exactly what you would
do in that situation to make it
difficult for the opposition,
>> you know, like so they're allowed to not
bowl but the carry on in that situation
is just it reveals their own weakness.
>> Yeah. you know, and uh and the way the
camera kept panning to Shman Gil just
with the most icy stare like I mean,
he's having the time of his life. Then
it goes to Rishab, he's smiling,
everyone's I mean, you're actually
handing your opposition an advantage in
that situation. You're telling them how
much it's pissed you off and how much
it's hurting you.
>> Uh so, and really, they'd be frustrated
themselves for not being able to get it
done. And then don't forget like this is
this these climbs this environment. They
they've ordered these in,
>> you know, and I know it's not the decks
haven't got as much life in them as
probably what they wanted because of,
you know, climate matters and
>> and whatnot, but you can't say that uh
there isn't a pattern with these kinds
of wickets. I've never seen more
manufactured wickets in English cricket
than these. So, so it's they've been
hoisted on their own petard with this.
Um it's completely of their own doing in
India did zero wrong. In fact, they did
everything right. And the way that
England's behaved has invited a bit more
spirit back into the Indian camp. Uh,
and it was very funny.
>> Very funny uh to watch. So
>> yeah, it's funny cuz typically
especially under the uh the Kohi
leadership access like the team was very
emotional off like off his vibes as well
like he was so competitive and like look
at the success that he had particularly
under Shastri as well.
>> And so I feel like that that can be a
strength and a weakness I think for
India. when they are galvanized and when
they are united, I mean, they're a
pretty powerful force and like if
they've if they feel like they're being
um spoken to and dictated to by England,
uh I think we've learned over a bit of
time like that ain't going to fly
no more.
>> So, no more test matches for anyone.
>> Anyway, I mean, it's just one of those
things where you just like it's a big
old series of hair. What do you
>> But they're just they're just good for
this England, you know? They're just
they're good for this kind of stuff.
>> You know what I think as well? I think there's,
there's,
>> you know, you're not going to get like
an Australian to tell English fans how
to feel.
>> No, no, no. No one can tell anybody anything.
anything.
>> But um like so many English fans, they
want to like the team. They want to love
the team and they want the team to do
well and ultimately win things and they
want to grow the sport at home and like
you know your home test matches, it's a
big series. It's the second biggest
series outside the Ashes. Sorry, it's
the biggest series outside of the ashes
and it's been a great series so far with
all its ups and downs and like so
there'd be so many English fans that
like this is this is great like you know
grow the squat and then you see that and
you're like
>> we're the bad guys now
>> we're do they go like India did the
wrong thing you know what I mean
>> wow can't speak for everyone of course
but so some I think some people will be
let down by that
>> oh to yeah totally anyway I mean
>> as as as Australians were for ages until
like you know the sandpaper broke the
camel's back was just like, "Fuck this.
No more." >> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> No more. >> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Then we had to bowl for 5 years.
>> We still are. We're still boys still
bowling. That's the trick. That's the
trick to keep people's bodies going to
juice up the decks and get it done in
three days.
>> Yeah. So, you know, um I don't know
where I want to take this, but like you
know, Stokes only bought 11 overs. He
had some shoulder tend.
>> You know what we should do? I mean like
and again England, they know they know
what they're doing. I mean this is one
of the great fightbacks from India and
we're going to spend the whole time
talking about England. I mean they like
they they take the attention away from
the opposition with this kind of
I mean it's one it's one of
the great days of India fighting and
grit you know they they really were
behind this whole game. The the uh the
sledge on India this series has been
that they've dominated so much without
being able to win and uh and now it's
happened in reverse and like I mean
looking at the game itself first hour um
K Rahul gets what looks like a shooter.
Was it? Don't know but um uh you know he
even looks classy when he walks off LBW
but Stokes gets him the ball he's
misbehaving like works with with the
second new balls got it um seeming miles
nearly goes I mean Liam uh Ollie Pope
drops Schuman Gil was Dorson the night
before and uh and then Schubman wafts at
one uncharacteristically um Jadesia
should have been caught first ball by
Joe Root um he's dropped and the deck
looked like it was doing enough that
they and Dawson was getting some turn
looked like it was doing enough that
India would probably struggle, you know,
to to stay in it and then uh it's like
the pitch just decided to um just be
flat again and like it was Jadasia and
Washington were chanceless.
>> So, uh you know, like you got to you got
to hand it to um those two guys for
digging in getting it done and uh and
ensuring that they can go into the oval
with like a decent chance. both teams
are going to have to ring the change as
deluxe um but a decent chance of uh of
squaring the series particularly with
what's happened now
>> um between them like in India will have
the um the bit between the teeth
>> so um
>> I wonder I wonder um
>> yeah I feel like with with a new ball
especially I mean Stokes got the wicket
after 70 overs so he got the ball to
talk off the deck at least but um maybe
it was more of a new ball wicket but
when you've played Carson Wes and Stokes
every test match so far they've done a
lot of lot bowling. Um Stoke only boss
11 overs in this in this innings. But um
if it is like just a a a refreshing
issue, sorry, fatigue issue, you know,
that that needs refreshing because guys
have like they've been plundered into
the dirt with how flat the decks have
been. And like if they were a little bit
fitter, a little bit fresher, perhaps
you get more out of it, more chances
created, or perhaps if they take their
catches, they're probably good value for
a win. So
yeah, whatever. Uh
>> so yeah it was like I Indie did well. I
mean, I've um I mean, I just Schuman
Gill has really stepped into captaincy,
you know.
>> Uh it's it's another 100. I think I saw
the stat like he every time he's got to
20, he's made 100 in the series.
Conversion Deluxe, he's about to go past
Sunny Gavaska for most runs in a series.
Um for an Indian, he's I think he's
about 20 off him
>> or something like that. uh incredible to
think he's going to do that away from
India where which you know before the
Judasia um Ashwin era was was pretty
decent for run scoring but maybe there
weren't that many five test series I
don't know
>> but uh I mean Schubman um
>> you know Schumman's held his own and the
grit he showed was fantastic and you
know probably a bigger piece of evidence
that people are behind him is how many
other guys have stepped up as well you
know they said they seem to have a
little bit more um just a little little
bit more resilience to with the Miss
Indian team. A little bit more fight uh
than than what we've been used to the
last few years.
>> Yeah, I mean K Rah has had a great
series as well, of course. And Jwell um
he's definitely scored 100 this series,
hasn't he? He's got a couple he's
dropped off.
>> Yeah. Um but uh I mean Risha Hunt's been
amazing as well. Obviously you'd suspect
he's not going to play the last test
match. So Jerel would come in, but um
>> Washi is now like you know you'd love
seeing Washington Sunda cement himself.
>> He's only played 12 tests, most of those
in Australia and now England. I think
this is his first time he's played three
tests in a row. Yeah, narrow just 45
with a bat and I think 27 with the ball,
something like that. So
>> there you go. He's he's Ashman's
replacement for the next 15 years. I've
locked that in. Um but he said they were
going to win last test match so he was
wrong and dumb.
>> Mhm. Um but uh yeah all of a sudden like
it's um you know even though India have
not won this game though it feels like
they have in some capacities. Um you
know they there haven't been many wins
for the test side recently but they are
going through this transition and like
in Australia they were fantastic and you
know essentially Bulmer couldn't quite
get them over the line that series but
in this series uh the the resilience
that they've shown has been magnificent
to be honest. I mean they would have
every right given how much they've had
to field um and watch Joe Root plunder
runs to be like too hard basket. I mean
you see this with lots of touring teams
especially five test series. I mean we
see this in like when Australia goes to
India for instance it's like by the end
it's like nah this is a bit hard >> and
>> and
>> to do what they did today shows um well
Gil's leadership under Gambir New India maybe
maybe
>> or maybe they just lose 3-1 and then it
was like ah
>> well it's it's the same score line that
they had at BJT heading into the fifth
test as well 2-1 going to the last one
they just got a massive
>> green seam as Scott Boland uh you know
did the business and uh Jasper Bulmer
got injured so interesting to see from a
selection perspective what they do Uh
again, um both teams, you know, I think
I'm I'm reading they can you can expect
three changes from both. I I don't know.
It' be interesting to see what England
does with Liam Dawson who went
wicketless. I mean, he he um he got
through a lot of work.
>> You you'd hope he gets another go like
and you don't just give him one crack on
that and say that's it. >> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Um like again, what's the point? But I
mean, I don't know. I mean um
>> so Tom Hartley waiting in the wings. Uh
Ryan Ahmed waiting in the wings. Uh
obviously Shaashi is injured. Um he's
had a great test. Sh Bashier as well. So
it was a a wonderful test.
>> Um yeah, they've got they've had three
bowlers in in Stokes, Carson Wolkes
who've played every single test match.
>> Surely they're not just going through
all five.
>> They're on fumes. Surely I mean Stokes
looks like looks
>> Stokes just had a big push in this test
to like try and get it done and probably
give himself a rest. Yeah.
>> I mean Ponting made the point that he he
must be fine.
>> Stokes I mean he may be. Yeah, I know
he's very demonstrative around the uh
the old limping and the the bicep and
the shoulder or whatever else it is, but
uh he probably he probably does play
Stokes, doesn't he? And and gets it done.
done.
>> Uh and uh and then and then has a break.
>> So, um but yeah, there's there's a
couple of questions over fast bowlers
there. I mean, I Josh Josh Tongue might
might come back in. Uh
>> so Gus Atinson, he didn't get picked for
Surrey. He he's been playing second 11
cricket and club cricket but um they
suspect that he might be a shout to come
back in. So
>> uh there's that. Um yeah, I'm not sure
what's happened to Tong who started
started the series then just
>> and then didn't and then didn't finish. >> Yeah,
>> Yeah,
>> but surely not going to play Jock for
three games in a row. I mean he's won a
lot of overs.
>> They I suspect they'd be wearing Mark
Wood was obviously rumored as well to
play the fifth test match. He he won't
be rushed back I don't think for this
game. So
>> um interesting times ahead.
>> Certainly certainly interesting times
ahead. Uh I don't know how fit the
Indian bowlers are. Akash Deep and um
Ash Deep Singh and Prashi Krishna. Yeah.
All the best. >> Well,
>> Well,
yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Canad.
>> Yeah. But they go to the Oval, which is
um which is actually quite good for
scoring runs. >> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> So, if the Oval started this series as
probably the best place to bat in
England, I've heard that before.
>> Yeah. Then um and it's been like draws
and high scores all year.
>> So Dom Sibly that's where he hit his 300
and and Surrey hit 800 against
>> Durham was 800 versus 600 or something
like that.
>> Yeah. Yeah. >> So
>> So
>> so if that's how it began.
>> Yeah. That was about a month ago, wasn't it?
it?
>> Bowl was sitting there just going like any
any
B was like
>> Yeah. Yeah. Just the old B back. guy.
>> See, if there's more if there's more
pace in the wicket, then that's
something. But I mean, how can there be?
>> How can there be? >> Uh,
>> Uh,
yeah. So, but you know, it it's there's
spice to the series. Um, there's, you
know, there's multiple results available.
available.
>> Um, and uh,
>> and there's online discussions to be had
and the baton of who is offending spirit
of cricket most is being passed back and
forth. It is, isn't it?
>> Um, Schubman was giving it to to
England. England implicitly gives it
back to to India. Um so we'll see. >> Uh
>> Uh
>> England at Lords were wasting time. Sh
said grow some balls.
>> India here batting for too long. >> Yep.
>> Yep.
>> As the as India did bat for too long
when they won that test match in um in Birmingham
Birmingham
>> where they batted for too long and
that's actually why they won that game
by so many runs cuz they cuz they batted
for quite a long time.
>> So it's difficult to know the right
amount of scared. India was scared when
they set such a highared. Yeah. And
today they were scared.
>> They were scared
>> with what they did. Both on both occasions.
occasions.
>> On both occasions when they like they
actually substantially impacted the
England team. Yeah.
>> It was immoral and wrong.
>> It's been wrong.
>> Okay. Uh hashtc and I'm concerned about
>> No, I'm not reading that. Um a lot of
crime stuff. Um, uh,

someone based solely on their net

base, high elbow, but emotionally
unavailable. I Who cares? Uh
22P says, "I hope they bring Dorson out
here." Um, >> yeah.
>> yeah.
>> Where's the feedback? Says, "Ben stokes
the fire ahead of fiery fifth test as
boilover looms large."
>> Nice. Um, here goes. Sam Belt says, "Why
the do these coats win so much?
Honestly, um, George Bailey's selection
policy." What is, says, "Is this how the
rest of the world felt watching
Australia be for 30 years? At
least we actually won shit."
>> I think that's I think that's a good
takeaway. I think that is the good
takeaway. Like Australia were I would
say um like this was sort of Australia
at sort of six out of 10.
>> Australia way bigger
>> Yeah. Um
>> the idea that you you deter like it's
like Nathan line headbutting the lines
like well who determines the line.
>> England's determining the line without
the winds to go with it, >> right?
>> right?
>> You know. >> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Like where where's where does the
authority come from now? We know where
it comes from. Uh
>> we we we know where they believe it come
you don't say it but but we do
>> we do know where the inherent feeling of
authority and superiority comes from
which is what makes this so funny. It's
it's it's a rich series particularly
against India and Australia of course
>> we can't get you out. Shame on you for
batting. That's Are you going to bat?
Are you going to bat? You're going to
keep batting.
>> You think that's right? >> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> You think that's >> Wow.
>> Wow. >> Wow.
>> Wow.
>> You're going to compete against us and
do damage to us in a five test? You
think that's correct?
>> Embarrassing. Shake my hand. Shake it.
Shake my hand. Here's my hand. Are you
going to refuse it? Oh, so you've
refused me now. Okay. You doing that? Oh
yeah. Are you going to do that? [Laughter]
[Laughter]
>> He goes Sam Bel also says India should
have batted until stumps. I agree.
>> I agree.
>> Yeah. 150 was on the cards. Why not?
>> They threw it away.
>> They should. Now that would have been
that would have been gold. >> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> I think that what they should have done
was they should have like if they lost a
wicket then keep sending batters out.
Send Rishab out. >> Yep.
>> Yep.
>> They should have done that.
You're going to keep batting, are you? >> Really?
>> Really?
>> Are you serious?
>> Serious? Are you serious? Are you
seriously going to do the thing that I
would do?
>> Seriously? You going to do that to me? >> Embarrassing.
>> Embarrassing.
>> Do you know who I am?
>> I'm not sure.

Brookke?"
you know, England will get, you know,

>> Yeah.
>> So, the Ashes obviously been two years
time. That's probably a little bit too
soon unless he does something even more
remarkable than what the last few years
have been. But at the beginning of 2028,
so 2 and a half years from now,
England are in India and that's about
the time if he goes on the current trend
that So, he could do it in India. So,
you know,
>> well, so a couple years.
>> Well, but he won't do it because stats
don't matter. Um,
>> hence why Moulder retired.
says, uh, were these the same coats
delivered that Moulder didn't make more
stat padding runs? And this is the
point. Like, this is the point. be very
very wary of anything you read online or
hear or see on the TV of guys um of of
things guys think or supposedly think.
It's it's all bad faith. Everybody would
do the same thing that the other person
did. Um it is all just an exercise in
holier than thou duplicity to get little
advantages. Weaponize morality when you
can't do it on the field. It's as simple
as that. Nobody does it better than
England. Um, this this goes further back
than cricket. >> Uh,
>> Uh,
>> that's that's that's how the that they
taught us. That's how the game is played.
played.
>> That's that's all it is.
>> That's all it is. >> Perfect.
>> Perfect.
>> That's all it is. So, if you're going to
be a that's fine.
>> But don't say that you're moral. >> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> That's it. Don't pretend you're moral if
you're a Well,

>> They will be keeping receipts which is
again how it goes. Chat get banged.
And that's exactly how I feel what
England did today. That chat and
Are they going to get banged or are they
going to win at the Oval in a couple
days time? I guess we'll find out.
>> But ultimately none of this matters and
that's the most important thing. Have a
wonderful day at work today. See you later.
