like is is there a free will we have or
not? And
>> all right this is a big question
question of free will from ancient times
till today it's being debated even in
this modern age with neuroscience and
all a new dimension has come into this
debate if you have read this book latest
publication which is making the rounds
determined Richard Sapolski
so he has come to the conclusion there's
no free will based on neuroscience
uh what does vanta say about it that um
there is no free will ultimately vanta
makes a very useful distinction between
transactional reality and ultimate
truth. So ultimately there's no free
will because it's only one consciousness
shining forth. But for practical
purposes when that consciousness is
associated not separated associated with
the mind and the body there is I will
say a transactional free will vaharika
which you call it. We assume free will
and operate in this world until we
realize there's no free will.
Enlightened person can work on the um
basis of no no free will but for us we
cannot. We are because we are so close
we are identified with the mind and one
characteristic of the mind is what is
called kartabhok the agentship.
Agentship assumes free will. Our society
assumes free will. Election is going on.
You will vote for this or that. Free
will is assumed. You go to a shopping
mall you buy will you will buy this or
that. Free will is assumed. religion
uh religion dos and don'ts uh free will
is assumed otherwise why teach religion
at all so free practically free will is
assumed ultimately they will say no free
will this is of course a huge topic
which we cannot go into much further but
um yeah I mean there's so much reading
