0:48 Thank you. We're going to hope my voice
0:51 holds out. Got a little laryngitis. So,
0:53 um, if it starts
0:57 squeaking, just point. I can't do
1:00 anything about it. Um, okay. First up,
1:03 we have approval of the agenda. I would
1:06 ask for a motion and take a vote.
1:08 First motion. I make a motion to approve
1:12 the agenda as presented. Thanks, Jean. I
1:14 motion. Thanks, Heidi. All those in
1:18 favor say I. I. Great. Thank you. Um, we
1:21 have a relatively long consent agenda
1:23 and I would like to read the items um
1:28 through that. Um, on 4 A, minutes of the

2:36 approve the consent agenda. I move to
2:38 approve the consensus agenda as
2:42 presented. Thank you, Janine. Second
2:44 that. Thanks, Heidi. All those in favor
2:53 Next up is public
2:56 comment. No public comment
2:59 today. Next up from that we have our presentations
3:00 presentations
3:02 um for excellence at a Shannon
3:12 Students. Yay. Good afternoon board. We
3:15 are just what nine days until
3:17 commencement and I Woo! It's coming
3:18 fast, isn't I? I have the awesome
3:20 privilege of introducing you to one of
3:22 our rockstar graduates. In fact, Isaac
3:25 Morales will be walking across two
3:27 graduate stages this month. That's
3:28 because he's concurrently enrolled at
3:31 Ames and at Colorado Early College. In
3:32 addition, you can see on the screen,
3:34 he's a student athlete at Roosevelt High
3:36 School as well. And if that wasn't
3:39 enough, Isaac has also served as the
3:41 campus activity student director of
3:43 alcohol and other drug prevention here
3:45 at the college. Um, and as my
3:47 introduction to to Isaac today, I'm
3:49 going to tell you a short story because
3:51 it really wowed me. Uh, as I've gotten
3:53 to know him, I learned to this one. In
3:55 the fall, he enrolled in calculus one.
3:56 And in his associate of science degree
3:58 and later his architecture degree degree
4:02 at CU, he doesn't need to take calculus.
4:03 Rather, he enrolled in the class because
4:05 he wanted to get to the highest level of
4:08 math possible. Who does that, Isaac? Is
4:10 what I said. Um anyway, midway through
4:12 the semester in the fall, his test
4:14 grades were not at the level he would
4:16 expect of himself. To put it simply, he
4:18 was struggling and during a meeting with
4:19 the professor, he was told the only way
4:21 to earn an A in the course, which is
4:23 what he expects of himself in every
4:25 course, he would need to score perfectly
4:27 on the last three exams. So, I was
4:29 waiting with baited breath on this story
4:30 at the end of fall. And guess what? He
4:32 dug in deeper. He found more learning
4:34 resources to supplement the class
4:37 learning. He scored 100% on the next two
4:40 perfect scores. And then he got to the
4:42 final exam and he imagine he didn't pull
4:44 off perfection. He landed with his first
4:47 college B. And but here's what I love
4:48 about Isaac in the fall. He said to me,
4:50 "I'm taking calculus 2 in the spring."
4:53 And I was like again, really? And so I
4:55 just asked him just now, just now. And
4:57 uh he just got his uh final exam grade
5:01 back. He scored a perfect 100% in Cal 2
5:03 and he's ending with an A+ in the class.
5:07 Can we just be like, are you kidding me?
5:10 So, I thought y'all would enjoy that and
5:11 I I thought you'd enjoy hearing more
5:14 about um Isaac's experience here on campus.
5:20 Okay. Well, thank you so much, Shannon,
5:22 for that introduction. Um up on the
5:24 screen are just some of my hobbies and
5:26 interests. Uh I really like to do all
5:29 sorts of things from figure drawing to
5:31 playing pretty much any sport possible.
5:33 Um up there is also a picture of me and
5:36 my wonderful family. Um, but today I'll
5:38 be sharing my experience of what it is
5:39 like to be a concurrent enrollment
5:42 student here at Ames Community College.
5:43 So, a little bit about my background.
5:45 I've been at AS for two years now and am
5:48 a senior in high school. Before Ames, I
5:50 was homeschooled from kindergarten all
5:51 the way up until my junior year of high
5:54 school. Um, making the transition from
5:56 homeschooling to college was a big step,
5:58 especially since I had never even
6:00 attended a traditional school before.
6:02 Ames was one of my first times I
6:04 experienced a teacher classroom setting
6:06 and I was still very young at the time.
6:08 So in my first year I was more timid than
6:09 than
6:11 most. Fortunately I wasn't your
6:14 stereotypical awkward homeschooler. I
6:15 could hold a conversation and relate to
6:19 people fairly well. Um but still that
6:20 first year for me was just a time of
6:22 adjustment where I was just trying to
6:24 find where I could fit in and how I
6:27 could get involved. However, getting
6:28 involved was more challenging than I
6:30 expected. As a younger student
6:32 especially, I quickly realized how how
6:34 different my life was from most of my
6:36 peers. While they were navigating
6:38 careers and parenthood, I was still
6:40 balancing high school, still focused on
6:42 maintaining a high GPA and on how well I
6:44 performed at soccer games and track
6:46 meets. My days were split between
6:48 college coursework, high school sports,
6:50 and a job with constant commutes between
6:52 Ames Community College and Roosevelt
6:55 High School. This initiated a divide
6:57 between the two. I felt as though it
6:58 wasn't my place to get involved at AS
7:00 because I wasn't technically a college
7:02 student in some people's eyes, even at
7:04 the time when I was taking 19 credits a
7:07 semester. It felt like others might not
7:09 trust me or take me seriously because I
7:12 was barely 16. And so at the high
7:13 school, while I was succeeding in sports
7:15 by earning achievements and leadership
7:18 positions on the team, at going into my
7:20 second year, I was still only a passive
7:21 observer, going to classes and then
7:24 going home. At first, I believed I would
7:25 only be able to succeed in one or the
7:27 other. It was either focus on my last
7:29 year of high school sports to maximize
7:32 the results I wanted or to further my
7:34 engagement at AS with clubs and college
7:37 academics. Then at Ames, when an
7:38 opportunity for the competitive student
7:40 leader positions opened, I took a chance
7:42 and applied and was hired in the student
7:44 life department as a campus activities
7:46 programmer for substance use and recovery.
7:47 recovery.
7:49 For me at the time, substance use was a
7:51 very unfamiliar
7:53 subject. But because my supervisors in
7:55 student life entrusted me with this
7:56 position and believed that I could
7:58 succeed, I put in all that I could for
8:00 the position, researching, attending
8:02 conferences, and seeking out help so
8:10 expectations. Through this position, uh,
8:12 as a campus activities programmer, I
8:13 have gotten to be about as involved as
8:16 you can be on campus. Campus activities
8:18 programmers oversee and plan events
8:20 using student fees to give back to the
8:23 students. In this position, I've had the
8:24 chance to plan and host events like
8:26 mocktails and student resources, THC
8:28 education, colors of recovery, flourish
8:31 and thrive, as well as as well as others
8:33 programs designed to educate students
8:35 about substance use and increase overall
8:38 student engagement on campus.
8:41 I had finally found the outreach I
8:43 desired in this position by being able
8:45 to host an event with some upwards of a
8:47 100 students attending. However, even
8:49 without as big turnouts for some events,
8:51 my job is to outreach on a more personal
8:53 level with students, connecting with
8:55 them one-on-one for as little time as I
8:57 might see them for. Because our goal is
8:59 to help them get involved and create a
9:01 more welcoming, engaging campus culture.
9:03 I went from striving to get involved on
9:05 campus to now getting to help students
9:08 get involved at their campus.
9:09 Despite the chaos of having two
9:11 different roles and the difficulties of
9:13 balancing college and high school with
9:15 the perception that I might only be able
9:18 to succeed in one, I found a way to give
9:22 100% of whatever I had left to both. And
9:24 now, as I am preparing to graduate from
9:26 college and high school, I can't help
9:28 but be excited to walk across the stage
9:29 to conclude high school and the start of
9:32 my college journey. I'm excited for my
9:34 future at CU Boulder and proud to not
9:36 only be leaving Ames with a degree, but
9:38 with many lasting connections that will
9:40 help me in continuing my
9:42 education. Proud of it. I am proud of
9:44 achievements, whether that be
9:46 highlighted as student of the month or
9:47 winning intramural volleyball games at
9:49 the Ames Perk and proud to be leaving
9:52 with an overall amazing experience here.
9:54 I am proud of the work I've put in and
9:55 thankful for everyone who has helped me
10:12 Thank you. I get to give it to you. You
10:14 need to keep it. That's really
10:16 important. On behalf of the trustees and
10:18 Dr. Bournesting, we need to congratulate
10:21 you. Uh you're the epitome of the type
10:24 of student that we want at Ames
10:25 Community College. You're somebody who
10:28 comes here to strive not only to be
10:31 academically successful, but as
10:33 evidenced by both your high school and
10:36 college career, you want to be part of
10:39 everything that you are uh
10:42 being participating in. Excuse me. And
10:44 it's something you should be very proud
10:45 of. And you said that I know that
10:48 everybody in this room is really really
10:50 proud of you and you need to be truly
10:53 excited as you walk across both stages
10:56 and run at the state track meet here in
10:58 a few weeks. That that's really really
11:01 exciting. My only concern is that you're
11:03 going to school in Boulder. You still
11:05 have a chance to go to school in Fort
11:07 Collins. So I think I think we can
11:09 strive to do that. I bet we can find
11:11 somebody to help you here. But on behalf
11:13 of all of us here, we're all excited for
11:26 Congratulations, Isaac. Thank you. Thanks,
11:31 Shannon. Great story. 19 credits. You
11:33 made me cringe.
11:35 cringe.
11:38 Um, next up, we have our representatives
11:40 to the board. First up would be our AFA
11:44 for faculty. Um they are looking to um
11:47 fill those positions and so we won't
11:49 have a report on that today but we do
11:52 have David Mott from our AIM staff association.
11:56 All right. Good afternoon. Thank you
11:59 Chair Shock members of the board Dr. B
12:01 cabinet colleagues. I guess first before
12:04 I start, I'd like to as um a proud
12:06 father of five homeschool students, I
12:07 know none of my kids are that the
12:09 stereotype. So I definitely think the uh
12:12 stereotype is changing. So I think um
12:14 you know, intelligent, cogent,
12:17 articulate, sociable, high performing. I
12:18 think that's the new stereotype for
12:20 homeschool students. So guys, good job,
12:22 buddy. Keep it up. All right, we're
12:23 jumping in. It's hard to believe we're
12:25 already here. It's already the end of
12:27 end of the year. You know, it's been
12:28 gone so fast. I know I can speak for
12:29 everybody that the time has been flying.
12:32 So I want to jump in. Uh the theme for
12:34 my presentation today is
12:36 recognitions. But before I jump into
12:37 that, I want to start with just a quick
12:39 highlight of of last event from last
12:41 month. The I guess the recognition
12:43 event, the staff appreciation popcorn
12:45 event, though it's always very popular
12:47 at I don't remember the exact number.
12:49 Several hundred bags of popcorn were
12:50 distributed. I think 30 some odd
12:52 different flavors. There was like a
12:54 cheeseburger and nachos flavor and all
12:55 kinds of stuff. So if any of you didn't
12:58 get that, you missed out. So look for
12:59 that next year.
13:01 Uh, all right. And then I just want to
13:02 highlight an up one upcoming event. This
13:04 is totally new. We don't normally do a
13:06 lot of ASA stuff over the summer, but
13:08 we're floating the idea. And right now
13:10 we're proposing a uh we're going to call
13:14 it the ASA grill and chill June 26th
13:15 somewhere probably near student commons.
13:17 We don't working out all the details,
13:19 but it'll be a lunch that ASA will
13:21 provide for staff members Thursday the
13:23 26th. So staff members, look out for
13:26 more info on that coming soon. Okay. All
13:28 right. I wanted to uh jump into some
13:31 recognitions. I just got this yesterday.
13:34 Isabelle Wolf was selected to be a
13:36 recipient for the impact award from
13:39 Thompson School District. And so I
13:40 believe she was actually awarded that
13:42 this morning. There was a ceremony. So
13:44 wanted to highlight that from
13:47 Isabelle uh on behalf of the Thompson
13:49 School District. So good job Isabelle.
13:51 And then um ripples. There were a lot of
13:53 ripples in your in your packet and um I
13:54 just want to highlight a couple names
13:56 because they appeared multiple times.
13:58 Lena Sandaval and Amanda Edwards both
14:00 received multiple ripples this month.
14:03 So, congratulations to both of them. And
14:06 then I wanted to pause and spend a
14:08 little bit more time than normal this
14:10 month uh because I mentioned last month
14:12 that we had have elections right now for
14:15 ASA leadership and so obviously if we're
14:16 electing for open positions that means
14:18 we have outgoing members from the
14:20 leadership team. So I wanted to quickly
14:22 take a moment to highlight those members
14:24 who are departing and want to appreciate
14:27 them. So I'll list some names and and
14:29 what their role has been. So Natalyia
14:32 Delgado is our Fort Lupton rep. Chris
14:35 Gomez was our treasurer. Mc Murphy was
14:38 secretary. Aaron Moshi was our part-time
14:41 rep. And Laura Flood was our
14:44 president-elect. And so the first four
14:46 were all multi-year, multi-term members,
14:50 been serving for a long time. U you know
14:51 multiple term, multiple years. lots of
14:53 experience there, lots of uh
14:54 contributions that they've made to ASA
14:56 over the years. So, absolutely wanted to
14:58 recognize them and thank them for that
15:00 experience. So, Laura was new to the
15:03 team this year and um will not be
15:05 returning. So, wanted to thank Laura as
15:06 well for her contribution. Very
15:09 significant. And um with that, I want to
15:10 remind I mentioned last month, but
15:12 nominations are still open. Uh you do
15:14 not have to you have to be a staff
15:15 member to serve on a leadership team.
15:16 You don't have to be a staff member to
15:19 nominate a staff member for leadership
15:21 team. So, putting that out there. uh the
15:22 link for the nominations will be in the
15:24 daily tomorrow. So if you see that and
15:27 again think of uh someone who would be
15:28 interested or fit well in that team,
15:32 please uh please let us know on that.
15:34 And lastly for me, I just since it is
15:36 our last meeting for the year, I wanted
15:38 to take a moment to express my gratitude
15:40 to the board and um you know to
15:42 everybody that has contributed to ASA
15:43 over the last year. You know, this is my
15:44 first year being involved on the
15:46 leadership team and jumping right into
15:48 the president role. know it was maybe a
15:49 little bit of a learning curve, a little
15:50 bit of jumping out of the nest, you
15:52 know, or whatever. So, um, I learned a
15:54 lot and I'm excited for next year in the
15:56 direction that that ASA is heading and I
15:59 definitely want to thank the board and
16:00 this for the setting and the opportunity
16:02 for me to share. Appreciate it. So,
16:10 Thanks, David. Any questions or comments?
16:12 comments?
16:14 Thank you for your work and um
16:17 preparation and I will tell you I
16:21 remember your first meeting to today and
16:22 um you know we all grow in different
16:24 ways and I just want to congratulate you
16:26 as well um of the great work you're
16:35 Okay, next up we have our SGAA, our
16:37 student government association, Jeff thatch.
16:42 Good afternoon, members of the board,
16:46 chair shock, Dr. B, faculty, staff, and
16:48 my fellow students. Before I get
16:50 started, I'd like to invite SGA Vice
16:52 President for Administrative Services,
16:54 Mariah Crawford, to read a statement
17:03 I'm gonna stand on my tippy toes because
17:07 I don't want to mess with
17:09 that. I was not blessed in the height
17:11 department. Um, good afternoon, Chair
17:12 Shock, members of the board, and Dr.
17:14 Bournestein. I'm writing to bring a
17:16 concerning situation to your attention
17:18 regarding one of the approved vendors on
17:20 AS Community Colleg's approved vendor
17:22 list. Recently, a student leader from
17:24 Student Life organized an incredible
17:25 award ceremony recognizing the
17:28 contribution of Ames Clubs. As part of
17:30 the preparation, the student placed an
17:31 order for custom awards through Award
17:33 Alliance, a vendor listed on our
17:36 approved vendor list. One of the awards
17:38 was for best affinity group which was to
17:41 be given to the LGBTQ affinity group.
17:43 However, Award Alliance refused to
17:45 fulfill this particular award, citing
17:46 that their religious faith belief
17:48 doesn't allow them to promote the LGBTQ
17:51 movement. This refusal caused
17:52 unnecessary stress for the student
17:54 leader who had to pivot quickly to an
17:56 alternate vendor or imprint under tight
17:58 time constraints to ensure the awards
18:01 would be ready for the event. When this
18:02 issue was brought before the AIM Student
18:04 Government Association, we voted to no
18:06 longer use Award Alliance for any
18:08 purchases funded through student life or
18:10 student fees as their actions are in
18:12 direct conflict with our values and
18:15 those of the college. Ames Community
18:17 College proudly upholds the values of
18:18 authenticity and truthfulness,
18:20 community, equity and professional
18:23 respect, inclusiveness, performance
18:25 excellence, and effectiveness.
18:27 A vendor's refusal to serve a recognized
18:28 student group based on sexual
18:31 orientation, stands in stark contrast to
18:34 these values, particularly equity and
18:36 inclusiveness. Allowing this vendor to
18:37 remain on the approved vendor list sends
18:40 a message to LGBTQ students and allies
18:42 that they are not fully supported or
18:44 represented by institutions that serve
18:47 them. Therefore, we respectfully request
18:49 that Ames Community College remove award
18:51 alliance from its approved vendor list
18:53 and instead prioritize vendors like for
18:55 imprint that align with and uphold the
18:57 college's core values. Thank you for
19:03 Thank you, Mariah.
19:06 Got to get tall again.
19:08 All right. Happy May. We are officially
19:10 at the end of another year and another
19:12 graduation around the corner. The buzz
19:14 on campus is real and members of our
19:16 student body are pouring their energy
19:18 into final projects and exams pushing
19:20 through to the finish line with that
19:23 familiar mix of stress, determination,
19:25 and hope. Now, I know this is a busy
19:27 time for everyone, so I promise to keep
19:29 this short. Just a few words of
19:31 reflection and a whole lot of gratitude.
19:33 Before I go any further, I'd like to
19:35 invite any members of the student life
19:36 team who are present here today to please
19:38 please
19:41 stand. There they are. All right. These
19:50 up. These are just a few of the change
19:52 makers. The ones who show up early, stay
19:54 late, and make this college more than
19:57 just a place to learn. This year,
19:59 they've gone above and beyond to uplift
20:02 our students and expand what's possible.
20:03 from pushing the menstrual equity
20:05 project to the finish line and getting
20:08 eal pad dispensers installed across our
20:10 women's and all gender bathrooms,
20:12 offering students free discrete access
20:15 to period products to forming a brand
20:17 new student parent group that give
20:19 students who are also caregivers a space
20:22 to connect and build community. Your
20:25 impact has been both powerful and deeply
20:27 human. You guys can sit down. I'm not
20:28 going to make you sit stand up the whole time.
20:30 time.
20:32 You've added heart to our campus and it
20:34 shows in the details like the newly
20:36 installed shadow box in the student
20:38 commons where graduates can leave their
20:41 names on paper arts serving as a symbol
20:43 of pride and a message to future
20:46 students. You belong here and you can do this
20:46 this
20:50 too. To the SGA team, Mariah, Alicia,
20:54 Camila, Ajid, David, and Noelia. Thank
20:56 you. Thank you for letting me serve as
20:57 your president. It has been one of the
21:00 greatest privileges of my life. I'm so
21:01 proud of the work you've done and I will
21:03 miss you more than I can
21:05 say. I also want to thank our campus
21:08 activities programming board members,
21:13 Alex, Jen, Noelia, Isaac, Samuel, Corey,
21:15 Emily, and Maria, as well as our ARK
21:19 team, Anna, Chris, Charlene, and Antonio
21:21 for bringing students together in fun,
21:23 inclusive, and meaningful ways. Your
21:25 events remind us that connection matters
21:27 and that joy is a vital part of the student
21:28 student
21:30 experience. While it's hard to say
21:32 goodbye to a team like this, I'm also
21:34 incredibly excited for what's next. I
21:36 look forward to working with next year's
21:39 team to watching new leaders grow, new
21:41 ideas take shape, and new possibilities
21:44 unfold. The future of student life at
21:46 Ames is bright, and I can't wait to be a
21:48 part of it. And to all of you, board
21:50 members, Dr.
21:52 faculty and staff. I look forward to
21:53 continuing our work together next year
21:55 to make Ames not just a great
21:58 institution but a great community. Thank
21:59 you for your time, your support, and
22:02 your belief in students like
22:10 August. Are there any questions? Any
22:13 questions? No. Again, thanks for all
22:21 Okay, we'll move into our action
22:26 items. First up is action item 7A. Um,
22:27 fiscal year
22:30 202526 faculty consultation agreement
22:32 with Chuck Jensen, our vice president of
22:36 administrative services and John Mangen
22:39 Mangan. Sorry, I probably just butchered it.
22:40 it.
22:42 Um, building construction site
22:45 management faculty.
22:47 Thank you, Chair Shock. Uh members of
22:49 the board, Dr. Morenstein, cabinet,
22:51 colleagues, uh you have before you
22:54 action item 7A. This is our fiscal year
22:57 2526 consultation
22:59 agreement. Uh each year in accordance
23:02 with policy 210, consultations are held
23:04 between represent representatives from
23:06 the as faculty association AFA and
23:08 college administration to address
23:10 matters related to specific conditions
23:13 of employment. As you'll notice note in
23:17 the memo, uh included agreement are
23:19 items related to salary increases,
23:21 medical premiums paid by the college and
23:23 a and the fact that we're going to
23:25 conduct a formal market assessment of
23:27 faculty salaries during the 2526
23:31 academic year and also uh faculty
23:33 consultation will also discuss uh
23:35 procedures related to personal leave
23:37 hours for full-time faculty and a
23:39 faculty prepared plan to increase
23:42 attendance at collegewide events.
23:45 I'd like to express my gratitude to the
23:48 team of administration and the faculty
23:50 that have participated. It's a it's a
23:52 committee that meets every couple of
23:53 weeks. There's a a lot of commitment of
23:57 time from people and so uh definitely uh
23:59 my appreciation to uh to them. Uh Jeff
24:02 Klein is the co-chair and he's been a
24:04 wonderful chair co-chair for a number of
24:07 years and uh shout out to him also. Uh
24:09 at this point I'll turn it over to uh
24:12 John to uh share some thoughts from uh
24:20 good afternoon to uh chair shock and the
24:23 trustees. Um again as Chuck introduced
24:25 me John Mangan. I'm instructor in the
24:28 construction management program. Had the
24:30 privilege to give a tour of the ATC
24:32 building for you uh a few weeks back. As
24:35 Chuck mentioned, the uh consultation
24:38 process, unique process here at AS um
24:41 the uh the team is comprised of four
24:44 faculty members. Myself, um Jeff Klein
24:48 as co-chair, Allison Easley, um as uh
24:50 our third faculty member, and we have a
24:53 vacancy right now. And then uh four
24:55 administration members, deans Terry
24:59 Anderson and Scott Riel, Dr. Aaylor, and
25:01 of course Chuck. So, as as Chuck
25:03 mentioned, uh large part of what we did
25:06 this year, uh centered around the the
25:08 discussion of uh pay and different
25:09 things like that, and we're we're
25:11 looking forward to continuing that
25:13 conversation here in the upcoming year
25:17 with uh more information. Um that being
25:19 the the pay analysis that uh is in the
25:22 works. So, Chuck said that we meet uh
25:24 every few weeks. It's really uh at the
25:26 behest of Chuck. So, it's more weekly
25:28 than bi-weekly, but uh it just depends
25:30 on the workload and things like that,
25:33 but it's a it's a great team. Um and I
25:36 mean that as the faculty side and the
25:43 The fiscal impact of course is was
25:45 included in the salary and benefits
25:48 presentation and the administrative
25:50 recommendation is uh approval of the
25:54 fiscal year 2526 consultation agreement.
26:06 The college and board have received
26:10 legal advice to revise policy 210
26:12 um the faculty and administration
26:14 consultation procedure
26:18 210-01 faculty consultation.
26:20 Therefore, the board will amend the
26:22 consultation memo to add the revision of
26:26 the policy 210 and procedure 210-01 to
26:30 the 2025 2026 work product, working
26:33 directly with the colleg's legal council
26:35 and completing this work no later than April
26:37 April
26:40 2026 through the regular college policy
26:48 Any other questions?
26:51 If not, I would ask for a motion to
26:56 amend the 2025 2026 faculty consultation
26:58 agreement as stated above. And I'm happy
27:01 to read that again if you'd like me to
27:14 to approve the 2025 faculty consultation
27:19 uh uh policy as you just explained as
27:22 amended. So as amended sorry to to jump
27:24 in but we would need two separate
27:26 actions. Uh so trustee O'Hara, we would
27:28 need you to make a motion to amend it as
27:30 stated and then a separate motion later
27:33 to approve as amended. So your your
27:34 motion would need to be just to amend
27:39 it. Okay. I I would revise my motion
27:43 uh to approve the
27:47 amended or the faculty consultation uh
27:49 uh
27:53 a faculty consultation policy uh amendment.
28:00 Second. Would you like me to read it
28:03 again? We good. Okay. All those in favor
28:07 say I on amending the consultation memo
28:10 to add the revision.
28:13 I. Thank you. And as Jerry said, we have
28:19 a second um action or motion is to
28:24 accept read this approve the
28:27 202526 faculty consultation agreement as amended.
28:29 amended.
28:35 I move to approve the 25
28:38 202526 consultation agreement as
28:40 amended. Thank you. Is there a second?
28:42 And I second that. Thank you. All those
28:46 in favor say I. I. Thank you. Thank you
28:47 for your work and thank you for the consultation
28:57 team. Okay. Next up we have 7B. We have
29:01 fiscal year 202526 budget approval with
29:03 Chuck Jensen. I was going to go sit down.
29:05 down. [Music]
29:08 [Music]
29:10 Chair Shock, members of the board, Dr.
29:13 Morrison, colleagues, you have before
29:16 you action item 7B, the approval of the
29:19 fiscal year 2526 budget.
29:21 uh happy to report that there is no
29:24 changes since the presentation made at
29:28 the previous uh work session. And so you
29:30 have before you the proposed fiscal year
29:34 2526 budget and uh the total all funds
29:37 is 222
29:40 million85,000 and
29:43 $222. And so uh the administrative
29:45 recommendation is to approve the fiscal year
29:46 year
29:50 2526 budget. And with that I also want
29:54 to again uh express my gratitude and
29:57 hard work of the fiscal team Paul Lynn
29:59 the assistant vice president the rest of
30:01 the fiscal team and all the departments
30:04 across the college uh that worked hard
30:05 as we put this budget together
30:07 throughout the last number of months.
30:11 And so um I stand for any questions. Any
30:19 questions? If not, I will ask for a
30:21 motion to
30:24 approve as
30:27 presented. Um, with great gratitude for
30:30 all the work of the fiscal team and
30:33 everyone that worked on this, I make a
30:38 motion to approve the 202526 budget as presented.
30:40 presented.
30:42 Is there a second?
30:45 I second it. Thank
30:48 you. Got a third. All those in favor say
30:52 I. I. Thank you.
30:56 Thank you very much. Thanks, Chuck. And
30:59 next up, we have our fiscal year 2025
31:03 2026 appropriation with Chuck. Chair
31:04 Shock, members of the board, Dr.
31:06 Morrison, colleagues, you have before
31:10 you action item 7C. Uh this is required
31:13 for uh for
31:15 CRS22-44-103 that the board of trustees
31:18 shall approve an appropriation for each
31:21 fiscal year. Uh the for fiscal year 25
31:24 or 2526 there's a little typo there. I
31:28 apologize for that. For fiscal year 2526,
31:34 $222,885,022 is the appropriated to
31:36 support the operations of the college
31:37 and that the college is authorized to
31:40 make expenditures and incur obligations
31:42 for the purpose therefore thereof. Uh
31:44 the appropriation will be revised if
31:46 shortfalls occur in revenue projections
31:48 and or if changes occur in projected
31:51 expenses. Administrative recommendation
31:54 is recommend approval of the fiscal year
31:58 25 26 appropriation. Stand for questions.
32:00 questions.
32:03 Questions? If not, I'll entertain a
32:13 approve. Um I move that we approve um
32:17 action item 7C, the 202526
32:20 appropriation. Thank you. Second.
32:22 Second.
32:24 Second. Thank you. All those in favor
32:28 say I. I. Great. Thank you.
32:30 Very good. Thank you. Appreciate it.
32:40 Next up, we have action item 7D, our new
32:43 cloud systems administration certificate
32:45 with Dr. David Aaylor, our VP of
32:48 academic affairs.
32:50 Good afternoon, Chair Shock, trustees,
32:54 Dr. B, cabinet, and guests. Uh, we are
32:56 proposing a new cloud systems
32:59 administrative certificate. Cloud
33:01 computing is a field that has grown
33:04 considerably in the last five years. The
33:06 CIS department has had an introduction
33:08 to cloud computing course for five
33:11 years. And now we find that employers
33:13 are wanting our students to have
33:16 additional skills related to this topic.
33:19 Cloud computing, excuse me, basically is
33:22 defined as the delivery of computing
33:25 services including servers, storage,
33:28 databases, networking, software,
33:31 analytics, and intelligence over the
33:34 internet or the cloud to offer faster
33:37 innovation, flexible resources, and
33:40 economies of scale. The administrative
33:44 recommendation is to approve new cloud
33:46 systems administrative certificate.
33:59 If not, I'd entertain a motion to approve.
34:07 I move to approve the recommendation
34:09 um to initiate the cloud system
34:12 administration certificate. Thank you.
34:15 Is there a second? I second that. Thank
34:20 you. All those in favor say I. I.
34:33 have several information items um for
34:36 the events calendar and upcoming work
34:38 session with Jerry Harvey, our board
34:40 liaison. Thank you, Chair
34:44 Shock. You'll find in your packet the uh
34:47 list of upcoming events. Um, I wanted to
34:49 update one of them for you because we've
34:51 gotten another RSVP for it, but for the
34:54 groundbreaking ceremony on May the 20th
34:55 for the student health center, uh, just
35:00 to add a an RSVP there, uh, for it shows
35:02 their trusty O'Hara and Trusty Trustell
35:04 as well as trusty window. So, those are
35:07 the RSVPs received for that event. And I
35:08 have a new event that is not on here
35:10 because I just received it yesterday.
35:13 Uh, so it will be in your um in your
35:16 Friday weekly email. Uh but it is for
35:19 the United Way um pull up the
35:20 information here. United Way Community
35:23 Leaders Lunchon on May the 30th from
35:25 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the downtown uh
35:28 Double Tree here in Gley. Uh and there
35:30 are enough tickets for two trustees and
35:33 a plus one. So again, I'll send out this
35:35 information your Wednesday or your your
35:37 Friday email, but I wanted to give it to
35:40 you today as well. Next
35:41 Next
35:45 up, yes, trust you here.
35:45 I thought
35:49 you Yes, if you if you can, you're
35:51 being dead. Perfect. I will put you down for
35:53 for
35:56 that. And trusty trust, I'll put you
35:57 down for
36:00 those. All right. Next, uh we'll move on
36:04 to the annual agenda. Since we're on a
36:06 summer break after today's meeting, uh
36:10 we'll actually move into uh item B here
36:13 um and just talk about our June
36:15 retreat. So, we have the June retreat
36:18 scheduled uh for the board, June 3rd and
36:22 4th. So, a two-day retreat. Uh both days
36:25 will start at 8:30 and go until 4 pm. Uh
36:28 from 8:30 to 9ine each day. It'll be um
36:29 kind of the time to come in and get
36:31 settled, get some light snacks, and
36:33 everything will start um promptly at
36:36 9:00 a.m. each day. The first day is
36:37 going to be with Dr. Bournestein and
36:41 cabinet uh to go over higher ed trends
36:44 as well as the 2024 uh to 27 strategic
36:47 plan year one wrap-up. Um so that's
36:49 going to be the main focus of day
36:53 one. After uh the first day, uh there
36:56 will be a um kind of a social event
36:58 afterward uh here on the third floor
37:00 balcony. So you'll be staying afterward
37:04 uh for some heavy ordurves out on the
37:07 balcony. And then day two, so June 4th,
37:09 will be facilitated by Dr. Cindy Miles.
37:12 She facilitated last summer as well. Uh
37:14 so she'll be facilitating day two which
37:16 will be focused on the board's formal
37:18 self-evaluation as well as the president
37:20 CEO's formal evaluation
37:21 evaluation
37:24 and then from there going into planning
37:26 for the next year. So uh president's
37:28 goals as well as the board priorities
37:30 for the coming year. Um that brings me
37:32 into my reminder. Last Friday you
37:35 probably received an email from ACCCT uh
37:37 with the links to complete those
37:39 evaluations, your board self evaluations
37:42 and the CEO evaluation. So, if you have
37:43 not done so yet, please follow those
37:46 links and complete both of those before
37:48 the date right uh before May the 18th.
37:49 That is when the portal is going to
37:52 close. So, if you have not done so yet,
37:54 please complete those surveys before May
37:55 18th. And I'll send out reminders
37:58 periodically as well. Any [Music]
38:01 [Music]
38:08 Yeah, but both days are scheduled to go
38:16 Thank you, Jerry. Of course. Next up, we
38:19 have our CEO president's report with Dr.
38:22 Leah Borston. Thank you, Chair Shock.
38:25 First question, uh, in your packet, you
38:27 have lots of materials associated with,
38:29 uh, highlights from divisions. Are there
38:32 any questions on those materials that
38:35 our cabinet members could answer for you?
38:42 Hearing none. Moving on. Uh this is the
38:45 time of year we uh would like to hear
38:48 from the Ames administrative group uh
38:51 led by chair Terry Anderson, dean of
38:54 allied health wellness and co-chair of
38:56 the Ames administrators group. So Dean
39:01 Anderson. Yes. Uh good afternoon, Chair
39:04 Shock, uh trustees, Dr. Borenstein. I'm
39:06 glad that you were able to have me today
39:08 to give you kind of a year end update
39:11 and wrap up of what uh we were able to
39:13 do this year in the AS administrator
39:16 group. This is our second year. Um we
39:18 had our last meeting of the year
39:22 yesterday. Um and we all um had some
39:24 time to reflect it and feel like it was
39:26 another really successful year as this
39:29 is as a newer group. Um but a really
39:32 important group as we are kind of tasked
39:34 and charged with
39:38 um creating and and stewarding the the
39:40 the positive culture throughout the the
39:42 institution. Um and it is a great
39:44 opportunity for um us as administrators
39:46 and leaders to come together and and
39:48 really get an understanding of where we
39:51 are at as an institution. Uh this year's
39:57 focus was on um the impact um of
39:59 appreciation, gratitude um and
40:02 recognition at the college and what what
40:05 that really meant. Um what mechanisms do
40:06 we have to be able to do that for our
40:09 teams? As as we all know, there are lots
40:12 of amazing things um that are happening
40:14 at Ames, lots of amazing accomplishments
40:16 that are happening and lots of amazing
40:18 people that um are doing those things
40:19 throughout the entire institution. So,
40:22 how are we um as leaders, how are we as
40:25 an institution are doing to be able to
40:27 um recognize and appreciate all the
40:28 individuals that are doing a lot of
40:30 those things. And so, we we really took
40:32 a lot of time this year to analyze that.
40:34 took a lot of time to to figure out what
40:36 are some of those formal mechanisms or
40:38 or informal mechanism that we have to do
40:40 that. Um, and are there some
40:42 opportunities for us to to kind of grow?
40:45 Are there opportunities for us to try to
40:48 make some changes um so we can better um
40:51 continue to to recognize um all the
40:53 great things that are happening? Um and
40:56 so we made a couple small changes, made
40:59 a couple small recommendations
41:01 um throughout the college um to make
41:04 some of those those um formal mechanisms
41:07 a little bit more robust um and a little
41:09 bit more utilized um throughout the
41:11 college. And so we're really excited to
41:14 be able to see how um some of those
41:16 things will continue to grow um in years
41:19 to come. Um and so the last couple
41:21 months of the the year, our last couple
41:23 meetings, we took some time to really
41:27 explore what um we may want to um take
41:29 on as what we call a learning agenda
41:33 item for the group for next year. Um we
41:36 are really trying to look at as as in
41:38 regards to the idea of um kind of
41:39 stewarding positive culture throughout
41:41 the college. What are both some things
41:43 that could potentially just be great
41:45 leadership and learning opportunities,
41:49 but at the same time um understanding
41:50 kind of the current environment and
41:52 temperature of the college and what may
41:55 be some timely um items or initiatives
41:57 that we can we can learn together on. Um
41:59 and so some of the things that we've
42:01 been looking at or exploring um are
42:04 concepts around change management um
42:07 concepts around cultivating um
42:09 psychological safety um for ourselves
42:10 and our teams and individuals throughout
42:13 the college. Um, and then also we're
42:16 we're looking into the idea of we have
42:18 an amazing um opportunity with our
42:20 speaker series coming up and some
42:22 amazing speakers that are that are
42:25 coming in and how can we maybe um
42:28 piggyback off some of those themes um
42:30 and do some learning around that. And so
42:32 um we're really excited for the
42:33 opportunities we have to continue to
42:37 grow um and develop um as as a group.
42:39 That's one of the funnest things that I
42:42 enjoy the most with this um group is is
42:44 just the ability to get together with
42:47 other administrators and learn and grow
42:52 uh together. Um and and so we are we
42:54 take a couple months off during the
42:57 summer um for the chairs to get together
43:01 and plan out the next year. Um we have a
43:03 um transition in chairs kind of every
43:06 year. Um and so we we're in a tri chair
43:11 model. Um this year we had our um past
43:13 chair which was Zach McFarland. He'll be
43:16 rolling off. Um this year I will roll
43:20 into the role of um um past chair. Um
43:23 Dr. Andrea Deosmo will roll into the
43:26 role of um chair and then our incoming
43:29 chair will be uh Dr. Lar Picowski for
43:31 the upcoming year. Um and so we're
43:33 excited. We want to continue to grow and
43:34 continue to see some really great things
43:36 that this uh group will be able to do
43:38 for the college and and we truly thank
43:40 you and appreciate all the support that
43:43 you all um provide for us um as we
43:44 continue to to move forward with this
43:54 Does it look like it? All righty. Nice
44:02 Next, I'd like to invite Dr. David
44:03 Aaylor, vice president of academic
44:05 affairs, to come up and talk about
44:07 public safety, education, and
44:10 transportation division overview. And I
44:14 believe this is the final academic
44:17 overview for this year. So, you've
44:20 managed to o you've managed to overview
44:21 them all. Is that correct? Yes, we did.
44:23 Thank you.
44:28 Thank you uh chair shock board Dr. B
44:32 guests uh this is my pleasure to share
44:35 with you information about the pet
44:38 division public safety education
44:40 transportation this division is led by
44:44 Dr. Susan Morland and she has several of
44:48 our uh department leads with us here
44:50 today so that if there are hard
44:53 questions that I can't answer, they'll
45:03 out.
45:08 Okay. So in this division we have 14
45:12 programs. We have actually a bachelor's
45:16 degree, 18 associate degrees, and 52
45:20 certific certificates. We have 27
45:24 full-time faculty, 307 part-time
45:28 faculty, and 29 part-time staff. the
45:31 headcount. I I were really happy to show
45:33 this in all of the division reports, but
45:39 we're up over 21% from last spring in
45:44 headcount and we're up over 13% in uh
45:46 full-time student full-time equivalent
45:49 from 2024. So, doing some really good
45:52 work and having good expansion within
45:54 the division.
45:56 We're also in this division pioneering
46:01 excellence in several areas. We are the
46:05 first public safety bachelor's degree in Colorado.
46:07 Colorado.
46:10 We also lead Colorado in unmanned
46:12 aircraft systems
46:17 um AAS degree enhanced
46:20 uh let's see it is air traffic
46:22 collegiate training initiatives what
46:26 that stands for beyond visual line of
46:29 sight and we are considered the top
46:32 flight school in Colorado so we're very
46:34 proud of that when pe when students go
46:37 on the web to look at flight schools
46:40 We show up there nationally as one of
46:44 the very best and and we we think we're
46:48 the best in Colorado and the nation.
46:52 Exclusive in Colorado is our Ford Asset
46:55 Automotive program where we partner with
46:58 Ford dealerships and we're training
47:01 students to graduate with advanced
47:04 certifications in the Ford training
47:09 program and the uh International Fire
47:13 Services Accreditation Congress
47:16 accreditation is uh a a high point for
47:19 us being a leader. In
47:22 Colorado, there's a a national comp
47:24 actually actually international
47:27 competition called Skills USA and we
47:31 have won that in automotive collision
47:34 for many many years. Uh this year our
47:37 unmanned aircraft systems team is also
47:41 advancing to national competitions. So,
47:44 we're very proud of our students and our
47:49 faculty and programs um in success in
47:52 Skills USA competitions. The third
47:54 bullet on the slide here is innovations
47:57 and partnerships. And there's a a large
48:01 list here and um I have information if
48:04 you want me to go into detail on these
48:08 but uh you can see there's a variety of
48:10 organizations that we participate and
48:14 partner with. um they cross all of the
48:18 programmatic areas in the division and
48:22 illustrate our excellence and innovation
48:25 in our programming and the quality of
48:27 our instruction in our programs. And I'd
48:31 be happy to expound on any of those if
48:33 you would like or all of them if you
48:39 Any
48:42 questions? It's impressive. I the
48:45 numbers just are staggering to me.
48:48 We have we have fantastic faculty and
48:51 staff at AS.
48:54 Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Dr.
49:04 division. Making his way to the podium
49:06 is Zach McFarland, chief marketing and
49:09 communication officer. This is also a
49:11 time of the year where we uh offer a
49:14 marketing communication annual report
49:16 and auditing report and so I'll turn it
49:19 over to Zach. Thank you. Uh Chair Shock,
49:21 members of the board, Dr. B. Jerry, uh
49:22 good to see you and I appreciate the
49:25 time. It's it is my annual Mark I'm
49:28 updating. I'm always the last person
49:30 between my last presentation at the
49:32 board between us and essentially summer
49:34 break. So I like to throw as many slides
49:36 as you as possible and that would be I
49:39 think 22 or 23 today. So I'll try to uh
49:40 keep your meeting efficient chair shock
49:43 and get through this. Um marcom four
49:45 areas are in marcom marketing and web
49:48 communications events and brand. Uh
49:49 marketing and web. We think about
49:51 students like Isaac. That's kind of the
49:53 the the purpose of marketing and web
49:55 right is to make sure um that we're out
49:56 there reaching out to prospective
49:58 students and creating opportunity for
50:00 them to work through the funnel and end
50:02 up here at Ames. That's marketing,
50:04 communications. Um that goal is going to
50:06 be awareness and perception. Really
50:08 making sure that our community knows
50:10 about Ames, knows everything that we
50:13 have going on um through press releases,
50:14 publications, you know, things like
50:16 that. And so that's the the function of
50:18 communications. Um events, everything
50:20 from the welcome center, um bringing in
50:22 the external community here to the
50:23 welcome center and to the college at
50:25 large to running internal events,
50:27 managing our room reservation
50:29 reservation system and things like that.
50:32 And then the brand um really keeps
50:34 everybody you know aware of our brand
50:37 guidelines and then when Dr. B asks turn
50:38 our turns our logo into a pickle or
50:41 whatever uh happening for AIT right now.
50:43 So really just looking at our brand and
50:44 making sure that we're adhering to those
50:46 guidelines and keeping the brand
50:48 consistent so that when people interact
50:50 with it they know what to expect which
50:52 is a really fun job for them. um
50:55 marketing and web. We continue to
50:58 maintain a a a large website by Google
51:00 standards, right? We're looking at
51:03 1.67 million sessions um over the course
51:07 of the year. Um 5.5 million page views,
51:11 760,000 total users. Um this is each of
51:13 those are a little bit up from last year
51:15 which uh continues to just show that
51:17 we're continuing to hone in our strategy
51:18 especially with search engine
51:21 optimization um and running uh more
51:23 digital advertising that's very specific
51:25 to our web and getting people um to the
51:28 appropriate web pages. Uh degree pages
51:30 um outside of our homepage degree
51:33 specific pages continue to be um where
51:35 most of our traffic ends up to to kind
51:36 of take a look at everything that that
51:39 AS offers. um web actions. When we think
51:41 about the web, it only really matters if
51:43 somebody's doing something when they
51:44 when they get to a page. Otherwise, it's
51:46 just a vanity project, right? And what
51:48 we've seen here um are pretty good
51:49 results across the board. Exactly what
51:52 we're looking for. Um you know, 95,000
51:55 total actions. Um we've got 48,000
51:57 people clicking on the apply now button,
51:59 especially on degree um specific pages.
52:02 uh start a resume application clicks
52:06 30,000 2700 uh70 request information
52:07 form fills and I'm going to get to some
52:09 pretty exciting stuff on that which is a
52:10 phrase I never thought I would say it's
52:13 uh but it's it is good exciting stuff on
52:15 request for information um that we've
52:17 been working toward for a long time and
52:19 we see that plus 50% there which comes
52:21 with a lot of intentionality on the
52:22 marketing and web teams part and I'm
52:24 going to show you that and then catalog
52:26 clicks 13,000 you know down seven that's
52:28 not something that we're going to you
52:29 know worry about until it becomes an
52:31 issue. Um really we're trying to push
52:33 them to more specific areas of the site
52:35 so it's not super surprising um to the
52:37 web team to see maybe that that catalog
52:39 is down because we're we're we're really
52:41 pushing very specific search uh traffic
52:44 on degrees uh themselves with uh key
52:46 terms. Uh looking at Google ads, Google
52:48 we all know continues to be probably the
52:50 the main place that we go when we're
52:52 looking for anything. um the the
52:54 marketing and web team continues to um
52:56 invest more money into our Google
52:58 accounts and and this is all consistent
53:00 with what you see in just increasing
53:02 that investment, right? 7 million
53:04 impressions. We're up 20% on
53:07 impressions, 23% on clicks. That means
53:08 that they're not just getting
53:10 impressions, right? But people are
53:12 actually clicking through those ads,
53:13 which means that we're matched up pretty
53:15 well um from what the ad is to what
53:17 they're actually searching for and are
53:18 interested in. And then once they get
53:20 there, they're converting on the site.
53:22 we can track all the way down to that.
53:24 They're actually taking action on the
53:26 site as well. And these are really good.
53:28 This flows really nicely from impression
53:30 to clicks to conversions. Exactly what
53:32 we we would be expecting there when we
53:33 think about people metriculating through
53:35 a standard
53:36 marketing out of home and print
53:38 advertising. None of that's to say that
53:40 we don't focus on out of home and print
53:41 even though we we have increased our
53:43 investment in digital. Um we're we're
53:45 still we're still out there. You
53:46 probably see us on the billboards, you
53:47 know, when you're driving, you know,
53:50 down 257 and stuff and and we want to
53:52 maintain a very robust presence in all
53:54 channels because, you know, we really do
53:55 have a range of students that are, you
53:57 know, everywhere from Google all the way
53:58 to driving down and seeing a billboard
54:00 that says, you know, 91% of people
54:02 graduate as debtree. We've got a lot of
54:04 feedback on that one as attention
54:05 grabbing and and something that people
54:07 go and research. But we're looking at,
54:09 you know, 86 million out ofome
54:12 impressions a year. um 346, you know,
54:15 breaking that down, 346,000 coming from
54:18 Spotify, 2.6 in more traditional radio
54:21 channels, KUNC, things like that. 1.3
54:22 million in TV. We we hear a lot of
54:24 feedback. People have been seeing our TV
54:26 commercial more and more regularly. Um
54:28 and so, you know, we continue to we we
54:29 started that about two years ago. We
54:31 continue to just kind of insert
54:32 ourselves into TV and figure out the
54:34 right time slots for people to see and
54:36 and to get more traction on that. Uh
54:37 movie theaters, I hear about movie
54:39 theaters quite a bit. In fact, uh, in
54:40 the listening in the cabinet listening
54:42 tour, someone said that they saw an Ames
54:44 ad and stood up and clapped right before
54:45 their movie because they were so excited
54:47 to see it. So, uh, and then, you know,
54:48 print advertising, that's everything
54:51 from, you know, newspapers to very trade
54:53 specific magazines that we we kind of
54:55 push Ames content to. So, we still are
54:58 out there very heavily um, in print and
54:59 and out of home
55:01 advertising. What we got CRM? This is
55:04 the exciting part I mentioned earlier.
55:06 uh a couple years back, if you were on
55:08 the website and you you you found
55:10 welding and you said, "Hey, I I want to
55:11 I don't know. I'm going to let me
55:13 request a little bit more information on
55:15 any of those programs, your experience
55:16 would have been anything from
55:18 overcommunication to to maybe even
55:20 nothing, right? We didn't have a really
55:21 solid process. There was a lot of
55:23 opportunity for growth in how we
55:26 communicate to people who are literally
55:27 raising their hand and saying, "Hey, I'm
55:29 really interested in what you have to
55:30 offer and I'm specifically interested in
55:33 this thing." Um uh about a year ago we
55:35 selected a new CRM customer relationship
55:38 management system called element 451. Um
55:41 members of our team and worked together
55:43 um to implement that over the year. Part
55:45 of that implementation over the year
55:47 from a marketing perspective was the
55:49 creation of drip campaigns. And what a
55:52 drip campaign is is an automated email
55:54 campaign where when you click request
55:55 information and fill in your
55:57 information. You all know this. you're
55:59 going to get you get a series of emails
56:00 that then communicates, you know,
56:02 different information to you to just
56:04 keep you interested, right, in in what
56:06 in what we're selling, which in these
56:08 instances primarily our degree programs.
56:11 Um, and so this is actually data just
56:13 from January. We just launched this. And
56:17 so from January on on our website, we've
56:19 had 952 total requests for information
56:23 received. You know, 6 uh 6240 to total
56:26 RFI emails have been sent. Those all
56:29 required uh there's some AI here so it's
56:31 not as complicated as it was in the past
56:33 but that required people to sit down and
56:36 custom create email content for every
56:38 degree program and in a drip campaign
56:40 different levels of content with
56:42 different highlights to keep students
56:44 prospective students continuing to roll
56:45 through the funnel. So this is a
56:46 monumental task and we start to see the
56:49 results. um top three programs for
56:51 people, you know, uh to to express that
56:54 interest, healthcare, aviation, EMS, and
56:56 then our open rates are right around 28%
56:59 on those emails. Industry average, it
57:01 depends on where you look, 30 to 40. So,
57:03 that's a good indicator for us that
57:05 we're we're close and we need to maybe
57:07 look at that content a little bit to
57:08 make sure that we're we're matched up
57:10 with what people are actually looking
57:11 for, which would increase open rates.
57:13 you start tweaking headlines and things
57:14 like that to see if they'll, you know,
57:16 if we can tweak uh how many people open
57:18 and then clickthrough rate. So going
57:19 from the email to the site and doing
57:22 something about 14% and the industry
57:24 average for click-through rates in this
57:26 realm is about 6 to 15. So we're sitting
57:27 really um really good on clickthrough
57:29 rates. So this has been a monumental
57:32 initiative in partnership with uh say
57:34 soon to be student affairs and and it's
57:36 exciting to start to see that now
57:38 students end up on the site. They they
57:39 get to a degree page. They see really
57:41 relevant content that we've worked on
57:42 through the website redevelopment.
57:44 They're going to see a degree specific
57:46 video, a student testimonial, and I'll
57:47 show you an example of one of those in a
57:48 minute. And then they're going to be
57:50 able to continue metriculating through
57:53 that content to either apply or request
57:54 information. And it just continues
57:56 giving them more information. That is a
57:58 very mature process that a couple years
58:00 ago we had a lot of opportunity to um to
58:02 change and so it's exciting to see that
58:04 and it's now exciting to see students um
58:07 actually metriculating through that. Uh
58:09 this is an example of what they get. You
58:11 know here's some email it's going to go
58:13 to their mobile and and a part of
58:14 element 451 in that integration is we
58:16 actually are texting them. Now a lot of
58:18 prospective students I I hate it when
58:20 people text me but a lot of prospective
58:21 students actually really prefer to get
58:23 text messages and act on that
58:24 information quickly on their phone.
58:26 Right? So we we're spreading this out
58:29 across multiple mediums throughout that
58:31 implementation which again um is is
58:35 really cool to see. Um never thought I
58:36 would think this was exciting too. This
58:38 is an actual strategic plan line item
58:41 and that line item was utilize data to
58:43 establish targets for brand awareness
58:45 and perception marketing strategies.
58:47 Those two things can be a little hard to
58:49 measure sometimes. Brand awareness and
58:51 perception. Um we've partnered with ID5.
58:53 they've done a lot of research for us in
58:56 the past um to to really start to hone
58:59 in on how we want to measure that. Um
59:01 you know what we're looking at here is
59:03 the second part of that project which is
59:06 the creating custom dashboards where we
59:08 can really quickly go in and see how
59:10 we're doing on those measurements. And
59:12 so we have these custom dashboards. This
59:14 data is all fake. Um, we're still
59:16 waiting um for the results of some
59:18 surveys uh that we've conducted, student
59:21 surveys, uh surveys of of parents of
59:23 prospective students out in the in in
59:25 our marketplace in our service area.
59:27 Once those are done, and I believe we're
59:28 actually completed on those, we're just
59:30 waiting for analysis and then input.
59:32 We're the marketing team will be able to
59:34 pull up these dashboards and see these
59:36 in real time. And then there's other uh
59:39 metrics uh like web uh anything that's
59:41 related to digital advertising that's
59:43 all automated. So that's a real-time
59:45 image in any time frame we want, which
59:47 is going to make it far more efficient
59:49 for us to be able to go in and just see
59:51 how we're doing and what levers we might
59:52 need to pull if we want to increase
59:54 interest in certain areas. So, uh, this
59:56 is a pretty exciting database project
59:58 that, um, is coming to completion here
60:00 in about, you know, the next month or so. uh looking ahead for marketing and
60:03 so. uh looking ahead for marketing and web uh continuing brand surveys, the the
60:05 web uh continuing brand surveys, the the surveys I just mentioned, we're really
60:07 surveys I just mentioned, we're really looking at replicating those yearly um
60:09 looking at replicating those yearly um so that we're continuing to look at at
60:11 so that we're continuing to look at at items like awareness, perception, how
60:13 items like awareness, perception, how how we're doing in the marketplace,
60:14 how we're doing in the marketplace, competitor analysis, things like that.
60:17 competitor analysis, things like that. And then growth programs um we've had
60:19 And then growth programs um we've had some really good meetings with academic
60:20 some really good meetings with academic affairs. Andrea Dosmo uh has set up a
60:22 affairs. Andrea Dosmo uh has set up a few of those with us. Dr. Andrea Dosmo,
60:25 few of those with us. Dr. Andrea Dosmo, I apologize. And u and it's been fun to
60:27 I apologize. And u and it's been fun to work with them. What we're looking at
60:28 work with them. What we're looking at doing here is taking a lot of the
60:30 doing here is taking a lot of the information that I just showed, that
60:32 information that I just showed, that type of information, really matching it
60:34 type of information, really matching it with academic information as they go
60:37 with academic information as they go through program review every fall, and
60:39 through program review every fall, and then looking at what programs based off
60:41 then looking at what programs based off of established criteria are actually
60:44 of established criteria are actually ready to grow. Some programs don't need
60:45 ready to grow. Some programs don't need to grow. They might have waiting lists,
60:47 to grow. They might have waiting lists, other factors. Some programs are really
60:49 other factors. Some programs are really ready to grow. And we want to use a lot
60:51 ready to grow. And we want to use a lot of data to assess that so that the
60:53 of data to assess that so that the marketing team uh student affairs
60:55 marketing team uh student affairs academics are all kind of in lock step
60:57 academics are all kind of in lock step together pushing and rowing the boat in
60:58 together pushing and rowing the boat in the same direction saying hey here's our
61:00 the same direction saying hey here's our designated programs. Let's put a little
61:02 designated programs. Let's put a little bit more weight in our efforts behind
61:04 bit more weight in our efforts behind those and see if we can actually get
61:05 those and see if we can actually get those uh programs to grow. So that's an
61:07 those uh programs to grow. So that's an exciting project. We've made a lot of
61:09 exciting project. We've made a lot of progress on in the last year. As
61:11 progress on in the last year. As academic affairs goes through program
61:12 academic affairs goes through program review this fall. We'll start matching
61:14 review this fall. We'll start matching up with them and seeing if we can get
61:16 up with them and seeing if we can get some legs on that. um communications,
61:18 some legs on that. um communications, social media, um social media is a mess
61:20 social media, um social media is a mess right now. You'll see some really
61:22 right now. You'll see some really interesting uh numbers here. Facebook
61:25 interesting uh numbers here. Facebook especially when we get to X uh formerly
61:27 especially when we get to X uh formerly Twitter, that one it looks worse than it
61:29 Twitter, that one it looks worse than it is. Uh but what you're seeing in
61:31 is. Uh but what you're seeing in Facebook, less engagements, less
61:33 Facebook, less engagements, less impressions, audience growth
61:35 impressions, audience growth significantly down. People are just not
61:37 significantly down. People are just not going on Facebook anymore. Um that
61:39 going on Facebook anymore. Um that channel, especially with younger
61:41 channel, especially with younger populations, is not as robust as it was.
61:43 populations, is not as robust as it was. So, they're losing audiences. And we
61:45 So, they're losing audiences. And we follow suit with that. we're no
61:46 follow suit with that. we're no different than everybody else having to
61:48 different than everybody else having to manage Facebook channels. The other
61:50 manage Facebook channels. The other change that Facebook has made um is the
61:53 change that Facebook has made um is the monetization o of what you see, right?
61:56 monetization o of what you see, right? And so back in the day, it used to be
61:58 And so back in the day, it used to be pretty organic. You would see all your
61:59 pretty organic. You would see all your friends posts. If you go on there now,
62:01 friends posts. If you go on there now, it's a lot of paid content. And so what
62:03 it's a lot of paid content. And so what you see, especially in engagements, is
62:05 you see, especially in engagements, is our organic content's not showing up as
62:08 our organic content's not showing up as regularly in people's feed. Um we have
62:10 regularly in people's feed. Um we have to pay for that content now. And so what
62:12 to pay for that content now. And so what we hope to see in the next year when I'm
62:15 we hope to see in the next year when I'm presenting this information again is,
62:17 presenting this information again is, you know, we'll adapt and we start
62:18 you know, we'll adapt and we start paying for more content to show up and
62:20 paying for more content to show up and and we start balancing kind of those
62:22 and we start balancing kind of those engagements. Um Instagram continues to
62:24 engagements. Um Instagram continues to be popular. Um you see some of the same
62:27 be popular. Um you see some of the same uh problems with impressions, you know,
62:29 uh problems with impressions, you know, but we still get a lot of really good
62:31 but we still get a lot of really good engagement in Instagram and they're not,
62:34 engagement in Instagram and they're not, you know, shedding people as quickly as
62:35 you know, shedding people as quickly as Facebook and X and Twitter, right? X and
62:38 Facebook and X and Twitter, right? X and Twitter. uh you start to see exactly
62:40 Twitter. uh you start to see exactly what you see in the news a little bit of
62:42 what you see in the news a little bit of you know X is just kind of bleeding
62:43 you know X is just kind of bleeding people out. Um audience growth here uh
62:46 people out. Um audience growth here uh that's a really awful statistic right
62:48 that's a really awful statistic right negative 466% but it's why we don't pay
62:52 negative 466% but it's why we don't pay too much attention to statistics. We
62:53 too much attention to statistics. We only started with like 180 people and so
62:56 only started with like 180 people and so we have very low numbers um in X. It's
62:58 we have very low numbers um in X. It's not really a main channel for us. U so
63:01 not really a main channel for us. U so so our audience growth is down because
63:03 so our audience growth is down because our numbers are pretty low. So that
63:05 our numbers are pretty low. So that looks a little bit more egregious than
63:06 looks a little bit more egregious than it is. Um, Tik Tok, younger audiences
63:08 it is. Um, Tik Tok, younger audiences are sitting on Tik Tok. Obviously,
63:10 are sitting on Tik Tok. Obviously, that's uh an area we want to be in given
63:12 that's uh an area we want to be in given our demographics. Um, we've taken a lot
63:14 our demographics. Um, we've taken a lot of time and energy just to continue to
63:15 of time and energy just to continue to grow that audience and and hone in on
63:17 grow that audience and and hone in on our Tik Tok strategy and it's been
63:19 our Tik Tok strategy and it's been working. Um, and then LinkedIn, a lot of
63:21 working. Um, and then LinkedIn, a lot of really good professional content goes in
63:23 really good professional content goes in there. Um really what we're seeing uh
63:25 there. Um really what we're seeing uh the stuff that hits for us um job
63:28 the stuff that hits for us um job postings uh which employee services you
63:31 postings uh which employee services you know helps with us uh information about
63:33 know helps with us uh information about capital projects program and workforce
63:36 capital projects program and workforce updates really that type of content we
63:38 updates really that type of content we we've we've really got some traction in
63:40 we've we've really got some traction in within LinkedIn which makes sense um for
63:42 within LinkedIn which makes sense um for who those uh people on LinkedIn are. uh
63:45 who those uh people on LinkedIn are. uh media mentions. Again, uh we've really
63:47 media mentions. Again, uh we've really focused on continuing to get earned
63:49 focused on continuing to get earned media placements where they are just
63:52 media placements where they are just covering news for us. We're not paying
63:54 covering news for us. We're not paying for it. They're covering it because we
63:55 for it. They're covering it because we have a lot going on. Um uh Natalie
63:58 have a lot going on. Um uh Natalie Stevens has been really working with a
64:00 Stevens has been really working with a lot of the outlets to continue to push
64:01 lot of the outlets to continue to push our our strategies out. And you see the
64:03 our our strategies out. And you see the the benefits 1390 media mentions. That's
64:06 the benefits 1390 media mentions. That's up 42% from last year. um continues to
64:09 up 42% from last year. um continues to be the Tribune, Reporter Herald, Fort
64:10 be the Tribune, Reporter Herald, Fort Leon Press, and BIS West, which isn't a
64:12 Leon Press, and BIS West, which isn't a surprise given our service area. So, a
64:14 surprise given our service area. So, a lot of really good traction. You'll see
64:16 lot of really good traction. You'll see a couple of the stories here. The other
64:18 a couple of the stories here. The other thing I think is interesting about this
64:19 thing I think is interesting about this picture on the tablet is you'll see that
64:21 picture on the tablet is you'll see that story that we earned and then you also
64:23 story that we earned and then you also see paid media placement for the the
64:24 see paid media placement for the the speaker series right there. And that's a
64:26 speaker series right there. And that's a core strategy of ours is making sure
64:28 core strategy of ours is making sure that we're when we're in these places,
64:31 that we're when we're in these places, right, that we're we're showing up in
64:32 right, that we're we're showing up in multiple ways and giving people multiple
64:34 multiple ways and giving people multiple ways to kind of continue to interact
64:36 ways to kind of continue to interact with AIM. So, it's that's an exciting
64:38 with AIM. So, it's that's an exciting picture to see. Um, looking ahead for
64:41 picture to see. Um, looking ahead for the communications team, uh, we're
64:43 the communications team, uh, we're really looking as in the news, uh,
64:45 really looking as in the news, uh, really curating all of the mentions that
64:47 really curating all of the mentions that we get in media, making it easier for
64:49 we get in media, making it easier for people to find out. That matters for a
64:51 people to find out. That matters for a lot of our partners. I think about like
64:53 lot of our partners. I think about like an Alquist 3D, really having a place
64:55 an Alquist 3D, really having a place where we can point people to, including
64:57 where we can point people to, including yourselves, and say where it's right
64:58 yourselves, and say where it's right there. You can see everywhere that we're
64:59 there. You can see everywhere that we're mentioned, and it's not managed via
65:01 mentioned, and it's not managed via email, which is kind of how we manage it
65:02 email, which is kind of how we manage it right now. Um, and then internal
65:04 right now. Um, and then internal communications. um really an increased
65:06 communications. um really an increased emphasis on just making sure that we're
65:08 emphasis on just making sure that we're talking, you know, internally to to
65:10 talking, you know, internally to to employees in the right mediums, the
65:12 employees in the right mediums, the right message, the right message and
65:14 right message, the right message and tone. Um we really want to assess that
65:17 tone. Um we really want to assess that um and make sure that we're really
65:18 um and make sure that we're really optimizing how we're communicating
65:20 optimizing how we're communicating internally because there is so much
65:21 internally because there is so much happening at Ames. We want to make sure
65:23 happening at Ames. We want to make sure that we've at least done our job in
65:25 that we've at least done our job in making sure people can get that
65:26 making sure people can get that information and know um really what's
65:28 information and know um really what's going
65:29 going on. events. Exciting update. I'm I
65:34 on. events. Exciting update. I'm I messed that up. I'm gonna I don't know
65:36 messed that up. I'm gonna I don't know what I'm
65:37 what I'm doing. I'm there. U complete events
65:40 doing. I'm there. U complete events team. This is the first time that the
65:42 team. This is the first time that the events team has been complete. And that
65:44 events team has been complete. And that is a very exciting thing because of some
65:46 is a very exciting thing because of some of the numbers that I'm going to show
65:47 of the numbers that I'm going to show you on how many events are actually
65:49 you on how many events are actually being run. We at as recent as the fall,
65:53 being run. We at as recent as the fall, we have been down to one person at
65:54 we have been down to one person at various times running everything. And so
65:57 various times running everything. And so to have that picture on the screen, this
65:59 to have that picture on the screen, this fabulous events team run by Christina
66:02 fabulous events team run by Christina Edwards there in the front, it's really
66:03 Edwards there in the front, it's really exciting to see. It's exciting to
66:05 exciting to see. It's exciting to interact with them and the energy that
66:07 interact with them and the energy that events people typically bring to their
66:09 events people typically bring to their jobs is is awesome to have around the
66:11 jobs is is awesome to have around the marketing and communications team as
66:12 marketing and communications team as well. So a full events team. I think
66:14 well. So a full events team. I think Christina is here. Congratulations. That
66:16 Christina is here. Congratulations. That relieves a lot of stress for her, I'm
66:18 relieves a lot of stress for her, I'm sure. um welcome center only 147
66:22 sure. um welcome center only 147 internal events four fewer than last
66:24 internal events four fewer than last year 73 external events. This does not
66:27 year 73 external events. This does not include I had this note um this does not
66:31 include I had this note um this does not include meetings, conference rooms,
66:34 include meetings, conference rooms, classes, anything like that. This is a
66:36 classes, anything like that. This is a full event and it also is not that is
66:38 full event and it also is not that is not days. Many of these events are
66:41 not days. Many of these events are multi-day events. That's the number of
66:43 multi-day events. That's the number of actual events externally here in the
66:46 actual events externally here in the welcomes just the welcome center. Um, a
66:48 welcomes just the welcome center. Um, a couple quick notes on the welcome
66:49 couple quick notes on the welcome center. We did a phased opening. If you
66:51 center. We did a phased opening. If you remember, we limited the number of
66:53 remember, we limited the number of events, the type of events. We are
66:54 events, the type of events. We are actually at full capacity. We're out of
66:57 actually at full capacity. We're out of our phased opening. And so, we take
66:59 our phased opening. And so, we take everybody who who comes and and uh and
67:01 everybody who who comes and and uh and it's going pretty well from an external
67:02 it's going pretty well from an external community standpoint. Um, all other
67:05 community standpoint. Um, all other spaces, all campuses, this is a this is
67:08 spaces, all campuses, this is a this is a big number. It's crazy for and the
67:10 a big number. It's crazy for and the events team works with all of these,
67:11 events team works with all of these, right? 470 events. That's 185 more than
67:15 right? 470 events. That's 185 more than last year. Um, one thing to note, again,
67:18 last year. Um, one thing to note, again, data can be interesting. Uh, this is not
67:21 data can be interesting. Uh, this is not to this is not to say that there's 185
67:24 to this is not to say that there's 185 new events this year. We've worked
67:27 new events this year. We've worked really hard, the events team has worked
67:28 really hard, the events team has worked very hard in, uh, bulking up our EMS
67:31 very hard in, uh, bulking up our EMS system, our room tracking system, and
67:33 system, our room tracking system, and ensuring that the college knows that
67:34 ensuring that the college knows that they're here for support. And that is
67:37 they're here for support. And that is reflected in a lot of these numbers that
67:39 reflected in a lot of these numbers that people are actually using the room
67:40 people are actually using the room reservation system. They're actually
67:42 reservation system. They're actually asking events for help. and and so it's
67:44 asking events for help. and and so it's not 185 new events but they are managing
67:47 not 185 new events but they are managing uh 407 internal events across all
67:49 uh 407 internal events across all campuses a year for that team so it's a
67:51 campuses a year for that team so it's a pretty substantive number
67:53 pretty substantive number um this was this is a big deal right uh
67:56 um this was this is a big deal right uh AIM speakers we've been working pretty
67:57 AIM speakers we've been working pretty hard on this um that is uh starting this
68:01 hard on this um that is uh starting this fall one ticket four great speakers uh
68:03 fall one ticket four great speakers uh really for me and when I presented on
68:05 really for me and when I presented on this in December you know I did a bit on
68:07 this in December you know I did a bit on this but it's to me this is really
68:10 this but it's to me this is really showing our mission vision and purpose
68:12 showing our mission vision and purpose in action and right here in the welcome
68:14 in action and right here in the welcome center, especially in giving our
68:16 center, especially in giving our community opportunities that maybe they
68:18 community opportunities that maybe they didn't have before and really wanting to
68:20 didn't have before and really wanting to keep it, if you look at those price
68:22 keep it, if you look at those price levels for all four speakers at at a at
68:25 levels for all four speakers at at a at a price that many different people in
68:26 a price that many different people in our community could attend and make it
68:28 our community could attend and make it palatable for them. Um, we have four
68:30 palatable for them. Um, we have four speakers coming. Dr. Amy Cuddy,
68:32 speakers coming. Dr. Amy Cuddy, December, I'm sorry, uh, September 24th,
68:35 December, I'm sorry, uh, September 24th, uh, second most watched TED talk of all
68:37 uh, second most watched TED talk of all time on on the power of presence and and
68:39 time on on the power of presence and and how you present yourself. Um, Leif
68:42 how you present yourself. Um, Leif Babin, uh, he was in the battle of
68:44 Babin, uh, he was in the battle of Rammani, uh, co-authored Extreme
68:46 Rammani, uh, co-authored Extreme Ownership with Jaco Willink, who's a
68:48 Ownership with Jaco Willink, who's a huge name. Um, that's a number one
68:50 huge name. Um, that's a number one bestseller, former Navy Seal, a very
68:53 bestseller, former Navy Seal, a very prominent speaker. Dr. Myron R, um,
68:55 prominent speaker. Dr. Myron R, um, pretty excited about this. I was
68:56 pretty excited about this. I was thinking about Isaac. I'm like, he seems
68:58 thinking about Isaac. I'm like, he seems to be on Dr. from my rolls path because
69:00 to be on Dr. from my rolls path because he went from NFL all the way to
69:02 he went from NFL all the way to neurosurgery, you know, and he's going
69:04 neurosurgery, you know, and he's going to present he did that in what he would
69:06 to present he did that in what he would say would be 2% increments of growth at
69:08 say would be 2% increments of growth at a time and he's going to come and
69:09 a time and he's going to come and present that method to to all of our
69:11 present that method to to all of our audience. And then Ambassador Sully
69:13 audience. And then Ambassador Sully Solenberger, uh, Miracle and the Hudson,
69:16 Solenberger, uh, Miracle and the Hudson, he'll come talk about uh, team
69:17 he'll come talk about uh, team leadership and growth and how to
69:19 leadership and growth and how to actually achieve that. So, a very
69:21 actually achieve that. So, a very exciting lineup. The questions coming. I
69:23 exciting lineup. The questions coming. I know how many tickets have we sold. Uh
69:25 know how many tickets have we sold. Uh we have sold to this point I think we've
69:26 we have sold to this point I think we've been live about three weeks. Is that
69:29 been live about three weeks. Is that it's about three weeks and we're at two
69:30 it's about three weeks and we're at two just shy of 200 tickets sold and 400
69:34 just shy of 200 tickets sold and 400 committed um to other entities like
69:36 committed um to other entities like we're holding some for students and
69:37 we're holding some for students and stuff like that. We have 1583 total
69:40 stuff like that. We have 1583 total seats um that that we are looking to
69:42 seats um that that we are looking to sell. We hear two things about
69:45 sell. We hear two things about this. Awesome, right? Like so cool that
69:48 this. Awesome, right? Like so cool that this is happening and I'm really not
69:50 this is happening and I'm really not thinking about September yet. So, I'll
69:51 thinking about September yet. So, I'll get back to you, you know, and so we're
69:53 get back to you, you know, and so we're we're we feel pretty good about where
69:55 we're we feel pretty good about where we're at um at selling. We hear good
69:57 we're at um at selling. We hear good things about the experience and the and
69:58 things about the experience and the and the speakers that we have, and we're
70:00 the speakers that we have, and we're just kind of in wait and see mode and
70:02 just kind of in wait and see mode and have some strategies in place to, you
70:04 have some strategies in place to, you know, can if ticket sales lag, we'll
70:05 know, can if ticket sales lag, we'll we'll adopt our strategy and stuff. So,
70:07 we'll adopt our strategy and stuff. So, we feel pretty good. Um and we're
70:08 we feel pretty good. Um and we're excited to to obviously see that and uh
70:12 excited to to obviously see that and uh and and we're we we have two years that
70:14 and and we're we we have two years that we're going to give this a shot. We
70:15 we're going to give this a shot. We already have three of the the next one
70:16 already have three of the the next one booked and and we're we're finalizing
70:18 booked and and we're we're finalizing fourth. So, there's an exciting year too
70:20 fourth. So, there's an exciting year too coming as well. So, that's the speaker
70:22 coming as well. So, that's the speaker series and the events team is working
70:23 series and the events team is working incredibly hard on it. Um, it gives me a
70:25 incredibly hard on it. Um, it gives me a lot of anxiety. Uh, I I try not to ask
70:28 lot of anxiety. Uh, I I try not to ask them for sales numbers every day because
70:30 them for sales numbers every day because I I don't I don't like it. So, um, but
70:32 I I don't I don't like it. So, um, but it's good. I think it's going great. Uh,
70:34 it's good. I think it's going great. Uh, what is what are they doing? Internal
70:36 what is what are they doing? Internal catering. We're just continuing to round
70:37 catering. We're just continuing to round out the services that events offers and
70:39 out the services that events offers and putting it on the same team. Internal
70:41 putting it on the same team. Internal catering's been external to that team.
70:43 catering's been external to that team. that's coming onto the team and that's
70:44 that's coming onto the team and that's going to give them an opportunity to
70:46 going to give them an opportunity to just kind of serve holistically the
70:47 just kind of serve holistically the college for everything from internal
70:49 college for everything from internal catering to event space. Um looking at
70:51 catering to event space. Um looking at better attendance tracking speaker
70:53 better attendance tracking speaker series is a great example. We actually
70:54 series is a great example. We actually do want to know who's coming, why
70:56 do want to know who's coming, why they're coming, what would the
70:57 they're coming, what would the experience was so that we can continue
70:59 experience was so that we can continue um to to you know make those events
71:01 um to to you know make those events everything they can be. So we're looking
71:03 everything they can be. So we're looking at mechanisms to continue to make our
71:05 at mechanisms to continue to make our tracking a little bit better. Um and
71:06 tracking a little bit better. Um and then department relocation. Uh we have
71:09 then department relocation. Uh we have the events team and I I'm remissed not
71:10 the events team and I I'm remissed not to say the events team that's the events
71:12 to say the events team that's the events team but events here at as actually is
71:16 team but events here at as actually is comprised of the events team uh safety
71:18 comprised of the events team uh safety and security facilities and operations
71:20 and security facilities and operations and IT. Those four teams work together
71:23 and IT. Those four teams work together very well um to put on all of those
71:26 very well um to put on all of those events. It's not just a one team
71:27 events. It's not just a one team function. One thing we've noticed is
71:29 function. One thing we've noticed is they need a space here in the welcome
71:30 they need a space here in the welcome center to coordinate those day of
71:32 center to coordinate those day of events. And so the the the events team
71:34 events. And so the the the events team is actually moving to Cornerstone with
71:36 is actually moving to Cornerstone with Markcom and we're creating kind of an
71:37 Markcom and we're creating kind of an event hub here where they're currently
71:39 event hub here where they're currently located. So the day of we have everybody
71:41 located. So the day of we have everybody in one place communicating everything
71:43 in one place communicating everything and making sure that those events go off
71:45 and making sure that those events go off without a hitch. And so that's what uh
71:47 without a hitch. And so that's what uh that's what Oh, I had a video and I
71:50 that's what Oh, I had a video and I messed it up, didn't I? I'm going to
71:52 messed it up, didn't I? I'm going to show you a quick video. It's only a
71:53 show you a quick video. It's only a minute and 20, so we're still going to
71:55 minute and 20, so we're still going to get out of here at a reasonable time. Um
71:57 get out of here at a reasonable time. Um this is a what we're looking at here is
71:59 this is a what we're looking at here is one of our student testimonials. Uh the
72:01 one of our student testimonials. Uh the team has worked with proper films for a
72:02 team has worked with proper films for a couple years down in Denver. Um every
72:05 couple years down in Denver. Um every degree page has a degree overview video
72:08 degree page has a degree overview video um that is a faculty member talking
72:10 um that is a faculty member talking about the unique elements of the degree
72:12 about the unique elements of the degree and we have been working to make sure
72:14 and we have been working to make sure that every degree page has a student
72:16 that every degree page has a student testimonial so that prospective students
72:18 testimonial so that prospective students can go and get the perspective right
72:20 can go and get the perspective right from the students and showcase the
72:21 from the students and showcase the facilities. I I wanted to show you this
72:23 facilities. I I wanted to show you this example. Um he uh minute 46 I lied to
72:26 example. Um he uh minute 46 I lied to you. Sorry. uh the this student actually
72:28 you. Sorry. uh the this student actually presented he was one of the students at
72:29 presented he was one of the students at uh excellence in a and so we were able
72:31 uh excellence in a and so we were able to oftentimes if you see me taking notes
72:34 to oftentimes if you see me taking notes I'm not not paying attention like we got
72:35 I'm not not paying attention like we got to get that person on a video and this
72:37 to get that person on a video and this is the result of one of those it's an
72:39 is the result of one of those it's an awesome video this project has been very
72:41 awesome video this project has been very fun to work on um really just showcasing
72:43 fun to work on um really just showcasing our students to the community so I think
72:45 our students to the community so I think he's going to pop that in and then I'll
72:46 he's going to pop that in and then I'll I'll stand for questions my name is Toby
72:49 I'll stand for questions my name is Toby Howell I am pursuing a fire science
72:52 Howell I am pursuing a fire science associates degree here at Ames Community
73:01 college. When I first started at AS, I was just trying to get my AMT, but after
73:03 was just trying to get my AMT, but after going through the classes, I found out I
73:05 going through the classes, I found out I really enjoyed it a lot more than I
73:06 really enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I
73:08 thought I would. AS gives you real training on
73:11 would. AS gives you real training on what real firefighting looks out in the
73:13 what real firefighting looks out in the real world. With the sim city being in
73:15 real world. With the sim city being in place now, it gives students more
73:18 place now, it gives students more opportunities to train, not feel so
73:20 opportunities to train, not feel so congested, and have a lot of
73:22 congested, and have a lot of opportunities with different situations
73:25 opportunities with different situations such as hose
73:27 such as hose deployment, setting up ladders, anything
73:29 deployment, setting up ladders, anything like
73:30 like that. When you hop out of that truck
73:32 that. When you hop out of that truck with all your teammates, definitely is a
73:35 with all your teammates, definitely is a little bit of adrenaline rush with the
73:36 little bit of adrenaline rush with the lights flashing and the loud trucks
73:38 lights flashing and the loud trucks going and everybody's yelling about what
73:40 going and everybody's yelling about what to do. get to kind of calm down in the
73:43 to do. get to kind of calm down in the moment and work with your team members
73:45 moment and work with your team members to do your assigned task that you're
73:48 to do your assigned task that you're supposed to do for that certain
73:50 supposed to do for that certain scenario. The faculty that are here are
73:53 scenario. The faculty that are here are real firefighters. So, they come in and
73:56 real firefighters. So, they come in and they give you their real life experience
73:57 they give you their real life experience on what to expect. It's not child's
74:00 on what to expect. It's not child's play. It's for real. They teach you how
74:03 play. It's for real. They teach you how it's going to go and if you mess up,
74:05 it's going to go and if you mess up, they let you
74:06 they let you know. In a firefighting world, it can be
74:09 know. In a firefighting world, it can be very competitive to get a job. So having
74:11 very competitive to get a job. So having this community around me gives me the
74:14 this community around me gives me the motivation I need to continue to push to
74:16 motivation I need to continue to push to become a firefighter to get my goals and
74:19 become a firefighter to get my goals and see that my friends around me are
74:20 see that my friends around me are getting fire jobs and that the people
74:22 getting fire jobs and that the people here want me to succeed in life. So
74:23 here want me to succeed in life. So having that community of someone who
74:25 having that community of someone who wants you to succeed makes it a whole
74:27 wants you to succeed makes it a whole lot better.
74:35 Super cool. And we have a lot of those and we have a lot of uh degree specific
74:37 and we have a lot of uh degree specific ones too where we've been able to
74:38 ones too where we've been able to highlight our awesome faculty kind of in
74:41 highlight our awesome faculty kind of in a similar style just presenting the
74:43 a similar style just presenting the program to students and making sure that
74:44 program to students and making sure that when you land on degree pages you have
74:46 when you land on degree pages you have multiple ways that you can take in that
74:48 multiple ways that you can take in that information text video you know etc. So
74:51 information text video you know etc. So uh that is actually it now thank you and
74:54 uh that is actually it now thank you and and I'm here for any questions you have
75:01 any questions or comments. First of all thanks to you and your staff for doing
75:03 thanks to you and your staff for doing an outstanding job. You should be all
75:05 an outstanding job. You should be all very proud of yourselves and you do a
75:07 very proud of yourselves and you do a good job of representing yourselves as
75:09 good job of representing yourselves as well as the institution. I have several
75:11 well as the institution. I have several questions. If if I go to Nikki and I'm
75:15 questions. If if I go to Nikki and I'm in this Would never happen in an
75:18 in this Would never happen in an electrical area and I need help with a
75:20 electrical area and I need help with a program or an event and I go to her and
75:23 program or an event and I go to her and I ask to put something on, does it cost
75:27 I ask to put something on, does it cost the department to put a program on with
75:31 the department to put a program on with her or is that just that's we're we're a
75:34 her or is that just that's we're we're a team? Generally, we're a team especially
75:37 team? Generally, we're a team especially for space like we're a team. uh that's
75:39 for space like we're a team. uh that's not accounting maybe for anything you
75:41 not accounting maybe for anything you might have to rent for that event. That
75:42 might have to rent for that event. That would be an additional cost. But here
75:44 would be an additional cost. But here we're a team and we're not we're not
75:45 we're a team and we're not we're not charging internal departments for those
75:47 charging internal departments for those events or the help. Secondly,
75:51 events or the help. Secondly, then is there a way or a means for you
75:55 then is there a way or a means for you to compare us to other community
75:58 to compare us to other community colleges and junior colleges with the
76:01 colleges and junior colleges with the number of social
76:03 number of social media I don't know contacts that they
76:06 media I don't know contacts that they get compared to us? And then do you look
76:09 get compared to us? And then do you look and then study what they've done if
76:12 and then study what they've done if they're more successful or keep building
76:15 they're more successful or keep building on what we've done that is successful?
76:17 on what we've done that is successful? Absolutely. It it's when when I was
76:19 Absolutely. It it's when when I was showing those dashboards and I mentioned
76:20 showing those dashboards and I mentioned a few of the studies that are happening.
76:22 a few of the studies that are happening. One of those is what would be called a
76:24 One of those is what would be called a competitor analysis though they might
76:26 competitor analysis though they might not be competitors. That's just the
76:27 not be competitors. That's just the terminology for it. And what we do there
76:29 terminology for it. And what we do there to assess how and if you think about
76:31 to assess how and if you think about awareness and perception let's say how
76:34 awareness and perception let's say how we how do you actually assess if people
76:36 we how do you actually assess if people are aware how they perceive you uh other
76:40 are aware how they perceive you uh other colleges are one of the benchmarks for
76:41 colleges are one of the benchmarks for that. So we go look at them and say
76:43 that. So we go look at them and say exactly what you said how are they doing
76:46 exactly what you said how are they doing how many posts how many interactions and
76:48 how many posts how many interactions and engagements are they getting on social
76:50 engagements are they getting on social posts and we take that information as a
76:52 posts and we take that information as a part of that study and start to drive
76:54 part of that study and start to drive our own metrics based off of that. So,
76:55 our own metrics based off of that. So, we'll see the results of of all of that
76:58 we'll see the results of of all of that here within the month. Okay. Thank you.
77:09 Um, well done as always. It's amazing how everything has just increased and
77:12 how everything has just increased and improved and you've done a magnificent
77:14 improved and you've done a magnificent job.
77:16 job. Um, have you seen an increase in traffic
77:19 Um, have you seen an increase in traffic with the clicks or whatever you want to
77:21 with the clicks or whatever you want to call? Um, and I think I have the wrong
77:24 call? Um, and I think I have the wrong terminology of the the student success
77:27 terminology of the the student success grant that the foundation has put out.
77:30 grant that the foundation has put out. Um, where they students are, I think,
77:34 Um, where they students are, I think, allowed to get I think it's $1,000 the
77:37 allowed to get I think it's $1,000 the first year. Have you seen an increase? I
77:40 first year. Have you seen an increase? I haven't looked at that specifically, but
77:41 haven't looked at that specifically, but that's something that we could
77:43 that's something that we could absolutely go and track back on. So, let
77:45 absolutely go and track back on. So, let me let me do that and I'll get you
77:46 me let me do that and I'll get you numbers. Yeah, we can actually tell how
77:49 numbers. Yeah, we can actually tell how many people have landed there, what
77:50 many people have landed there, what they're doing. Yeah. Yeah. No, I love
77:52 they're doing. Yeah. Yeah. No, I love it. Um, and then the other thing is I'm
77:54 it. Um, and then the other thing is I'm really excited to see you on LinkedIn
77:56 really excited to see you on LinkedIn more. I see you more and more on
77:58 more. I see you more and more on LinkedIn and I think with the workforce
78:00 LinkedIn and I think with the workforce development um that will start um
78:04 development um that will start um bringing in even more. Yeah. So, you
78:07 bringing in even more. Yeah. So, you guys are right on track. So, appreciate
78:09 guys are right on track. So, appreciate that. A lot of a lot of that work
78:10 that. A lot of a lot of that work employee services has kind of uh worked
78:13 employee services has kind of uh worked with us and other people to to really,
78:16 with us and other people to to really, you know, flesh out our job postings and
78:18 you know, flesh out our job postings and make sure that we're continuing to be on
78:19 make sure that we're continuing to be on there. And then Taylor's our our social
78:21 there. And then Taylor's our our social media uh
78:23 media uh manager. You know, anyone she works with
78:25 manager. You know, anyone she works with wants to take her. So don't don't tell
78:26 wants to take her. So don't don't tell her that. Is this public? Uh so it's
78:30 her that. Is this public? Uh so it's phenomenal. Yeah. Wonderful job. Thank
78:31 phenomenal. Yeah. Wonderful job. Thank you. Yeah. Thank you.
78:34 you. Yeah. Thank you. I like that the brand is known now. You
78:38 I like that the brand is known now. You guys have done a phenomenal job building
78:40 guys have done a phenomenal job building off of the basic foundation to where we
78:42 off of the basic foundation to where we are today. And when you do see a
78:44 are today. And when you do see a billboard or you even just see Ames,
78:47 billboard or you even just see Ames, people are relating. And so you guys
78:49 people are relating. And so you guys have done a phenomenal job with that. I
78:51 have done a phenomenal job with that. I appreciate that. You know, the the first
78:53 appreciate that. You know, the the first P of the four Ps of marketing is
78:55 P of the four Ps of marketing is product. Um, and I've said this before,
78:57 product. Um, and I've said this before, our product is easy to sell. You know,
79:00 our product is easy to sell. You know, we have so many amazing things going on
79:04 we have so many amazing things going on here. Um, it would be a tragedy not to
79:06 here. Um, it would be a tragedy not to communicate about it, not to get people
79:08 communicate about it, not to get people to interact with it. And, um, I I'm also
79:10 to interact with it. And, um, I I'm also remiss I I think I have probably the
79:12 remiss I I think I have probably the easiest job on the team of coming up
79:13 easiest job on the team of coming up here and presenting what is ends up
79:15 here and presenting what is ends up being a lot of other people's work. You
79:17 being a lot of other people's work. You know, we have Hunter and Christina here
79:19 know, we have Hunter and Christina here today. Uh, the people I get to work with
79:21 today. Uh, the people I get to work with every day on the marketing and
79:22 every day on the marketing and communications team really care about
79:24 communications team really care about Ames first and foremost. They care about
79:26 Ames first and foremost. They care about marketing and communications. They're
79:28 marketing and communications. They're very passionate about their field. Um,
79:30 very passionate about their field. Um, and they're incredibly smart and
79:32 and they're incredibly smart and talented and and that's a that is a
79:34 talented and and that's a that is a combination that you get, you know, in
79:37 combination that you get, you know, in the way we have it right now, rarely in
79:39 the way we have it right now, rarely in your career to have everybody on the
79:41 your career to have everybody on the team um kind of ha check those boxes.
79:44 team um kind of ha check those boxes. So, it's actually really fun to come to
79:45 So, it's actually really fun to come to work. we have a great thing to
79:47 work. we have a great thing to communicate. Um, and then to get to work
79:49 communicate. Um, and then to get to work with that team and and present what
79:51 with that team and and present what they're really working hard on um is
79:53 they're really working hard on um is truly an honor and and I do think
79:55 truly an honor and and I do think they're doing phenomenal work. Um, and
79:57 they're doing phenomenal work. Um, and they're doing it um oftentimes without
80:00 they're doing it um oftentimes without having to even be told, you know, they
80:02 having to even be told, you know, they just they they come up with new ways to
80:04 just they they come up with new ways to to continue to communicate about things.
80:07 to continue to communicate about things. So, thank you,
80:09 So, thank you, Kane.

81:39 wrote this. We are in the process. We encouraged SGAA to um actually spend the
81:43 encouraged SGAA to um actually spend the 60 or $100 to get this
81:45 60 or $100 to get this copywritten. This is amazing and
81:49 copywritten. This is amazing and outstanding. And again, it is driven by
81:53 outstanding. And again, it is driven by our students slashalums.
81:55 our students slashalums. they um are taking this to conferences
81:59 they um are taking this to conferences and are utilizing this for our current

82:07 even say this, but I'm going to I would venture to say that this would be a
82:09 venture to say that this would be a great tool for any individual employees
82:12 great tool for any individual employees and community um as they're uh thinking
82:15 and community um as they're uh thinking about recovery and and moving forward.

82:31 are more of these if you want more of the again right now they're not
82:33 the again right now they're not copywritten. Uh so, we're trying
82:36 copywritten. Uh so, we're trying to limit our dispersion of that till
82:39 to limit our dispersion of that till they are copywritten, but uh it's quite

89:46 I get the privilege um a couple times a year of intro of of speaking to new
89:48 year of intro of of speaking to new employees and when I do that at new
89:50 employees and when I do that at new employee orientation I always ask how
89:52 employee orientation I always ask how many of y'all came to as sometimes it's
89:55 many of y'all came to as sometimes it's half the room. It's a 100% of the people
89:58 half the room. It's a 100% of the people you're going to meet next. Um and I
90:00 you're going to meet next. Um and I think that's pretty cool. So, Alyssa
90:02 think that's pretty cool. So, Alyssa Garcia was recently hired to be the
90:04 Garcia was recently hired to be the director of the Mosaic. She started here
90:07 director of the Mosaic. She started here uh started her education career here as
90:10 uh started her education career here as a student. We got to know her because,
90:11 a student. We got to know her because, you know, they just said, "I've been
90:12 you know, they just said, "I've been around 27 years." So, I do remember
90:14 around 27 years." So, I do remember Alyssa as a student uh during the
90:17 Alyssa as a student uh during the pandemic. She uh she completed she went
90:19 pandemic. She uh she completed she went on to UNCC, I think, and uh and and is
90:23 on to UNCC, I think, and uh and and is now enrolled at Adam State for her
90:25 now enrolled at Adam State for her master's degree in student affairs. So,
90:26 master's degree in student affairs. So, that's pretty exciting. The most the
90:28 that's pretty exciting. The most the most interesting thing about Alyssa is
90:30 most interesting thing about Alyssa is she loves all the unloved creatures, the
90:32 she loves all the unloved creatures, the things that freak us out. She has had 25
90:34 things that freak us out. She has had 25 species of tarantula in her
90:37 species of tarantula in her house. I just think whoa. But I'm going
90:39 house. I just think whoa. But I'm going to let Alyssa introduce her brand new
90:50 team. Hello. I am super excited to introduce the Mosaic program managers.
90:54 introduce the Mosaic program managers. They are fantastic. So we first have
90:56 They are fantastic. So we first have Gabriella Sanchez who is an AS graduate
90:59 Gabriella Sanchez who is an AS graduate and she most recently served as the
91:02 and she most recently served as the program coordinate coordinator for
91:04 program coordinate coordinator for finish what we started in the transition
91:06 finish what we started in the transition transition center. And we have Abby
91:09 transition center. And we have Abby Rodriguez who is also an Ames graduate
91:12 Rodriguez who is also an Ames graduate and she also served on the campus
91:15 and she also served on the campus activities program board as a student in
91:18 activities program board as a student in student life and has found her way back.
91:20 student life and has found her way back. So that is our team and we are rocking
91:22 So that is our team and we are rocking it.
91:32 Thank you everyone and welcome to Ames or thanks for staying with
91:35 or thanks for staying with us. Uh one small uh well no maybe not so
91:40 us. Uh one small uh well no maybe not so small. I'd like to share a little bit of
91:42 small. I'd like to share a little bit of something I'm going to be working on
91:44 something I'm going to be working on over the summer and I'm a little
91:45 over the summer and I'm a little hesitant because it's in the
91:47 hesitant because it's in the development. It may not happen. It may
91:49 development. It may not happen. It may happen. It's uh we're lobbing a ball,
91:52 happen. It's uh we're lobbing a ball, but this is what we do and who we are,
91:55 but this is what we do and who we are, right, as innovators. So,
91:57 right, as innovators. So, um a few years ago when we heard from
92:00 um a few years ago when we heard from Alquist 3D Printing, we heard uh Zach
92:03 Alquist 3D Printing, we heard uh Zach Mannheimr's vision not only for his
92:05 Mannheimr's vision not only for his company, but certainly bringing uh that
92:08 company, but certainly bringing uh that company to Northern Colorado, what he
92:11 company to Northern Colorado, what he would like to see in the whole 3D
92:14 would like to see in the whole 3D concrete printing industry.
92:17 concrete printing industry. One of the steps along the way was to
92:20 One of the steps along the way was to pull together a consortium of folks
92:24 pull together a consortium of folks nationally who are
92:26 nationally who are either business
92:29 either business practitioners, industry researchers,
92:33 practitioners, industry researchers, educators, general managers who are
92:35 educators, general managers who are actually doing the work.
92:38 actually doing the work. So
92:39 So yesterday I sent out a letter to uh 20
92:44 yesterday I sent out a letter to uh 20 different CEOs of organizations across
92:47 different CEOs of organizations across the country in those categories inviting
92:50 the country in those categories inviting them to Ames Community
92:52 them to Ames Community College to start a consortium.
92:56 College to start a consortium. uh and I threw out a couple of dates for
92:59 uh and I threw out a couple of dates for the first retreat to kind of think and
93:02 the first retreat to kind of think and brainstorm about what this consortia
93:04 brainstorm about what this consortia could be and establish it and basically
93:07 could be and establish it and basically invited them to be founding
93:09 invited them to be founding members. Uh within less than 24 hours,
93:13 members. Uh within less than 24 hours, I've already heard back from about a
93:14 I've already heard back from about a third of them all very excited to do
93:16 third of them all very excited to do this. And the reason I'm hesitant is
93:19 this. And the reason I'm hesitant is because we really need to see if there's
93:22 because we really need to see if there's interest. Also, is the timing right? you
93:25 interest. Also, is the timing right? you know, the industry is really new. Are
93:27 know, the industry is really new. Are folks going to see that this is
93:28 folks going to see that this is relevant? I don't know. You know, I'm
93:30 relevant? I don't know. You know, I'm throwing out a ball here, of course,
93:32 throwing out a ball here, of course, working with Zach Manhorn and Alquist,
93:34 working with Zach Manhorn and Alquist, but it's truly coming from Ames
93:35 but it's truly coming from Ames Community College. So if there is
93:39 Community College. So if there is interest, we'll be having our first
93:41 interest, we'll be having our first consortia meeting either in August or
93:43 consortia meeting either in August or September with these folks convening on
93:46 September with these folks convening on our campus in the hopes that this will
93:50 our campus in the hopes that this will become an annual convening that Ames
93:52 become an annual convening that Ames will be the place where it convenes and
93:54 will be the place where it convenes and that it grows over time and potentially
93:57 that it grows over time and potentially the vision could be um growing into a
94:00 the vision could be um growing into a conference and an annual convening. So
94:03 conference and an annual convening. So I've got big visions too about this. Uh,
94:06 I've got big visions too about this. Uh, and like I said, I'm a little hesitant
94:07 and like I said, I'm a little hesitant to say it out loud publicly, but I
94:09 to say it out loud publicly, but I thought, you know, might as well take
94:12 thought, you know, might as well take the chance and see. So, in August, I'll
94:14 the chance and see. So, in August, I'll let you know if it's either happening or
94:16 let you know if it's either happening or not. But that's what I'll be working on
94:19 not. But that's what I'll be working on over the summer. It could be pretty
94:20 over the summer. It could be pretty exciting for not only Ames, but
94:22 exciting for not only Ames, but certainly for Northern Colorado and
94:25 certainly for Northern Colorado and Colorado as a state.
94:28 Colorado as a state. So, if you have any questions, you can
94:30 So, if you have any questions, you can ask me, but I probably don't have an
94:32 ask me, but I probably don't have an answer, but that's what I'm working on.
94:35 answer, but that's what I'm working on. uh in addition to strategic planning and
94:38 uh in addition to strategic planning and everything else. So that concludes the
94:40 everything else. So that concludes the president's report for this
94:44 president's report for this one. Thank you. Lots of
94:48 one. Thank you. Lots of exciting I don't even know what to say.
94:50 exciting I don't even know what to say. I mean it just keeps rolling. So um
94:54 I mean it just keeps rolling. So um we've come to a time uh for reflections,
94:56 we've come to a time uh for reflections, comments, accolades. If anybody has a
94:59 comments, accolades. If anybody has a shout out, a place to recognize
95:02 shout out, a place to recognize accolades, um, now's the
95:33 um, considering where we are in this world right now,
95:35 world right now, um, I just want to commend everyone in
95:38 um, I just want to commend everyone in the Ames family for continuing to follow
95:41 the Ames family for continuing to follow your our mission, our vision, and, um,
95:45 your our mission, our vision, and, um, you're doing a spectacular job. Um, so
95:49 you're doing a spectacular job. Um, so you're kind of like this um, shining
95:51 you're kind of like this um, shining light, I always call it, um, around
95:54 light, I always call it, um, around northern Colorado. So I really
95:57 northern Colorado. So I really appreciate everything you're doing. So
95:59 appreciate everything you're doing. So that's what I've been meaning to say for
96:01 that's what I've been meaning to say for a
96:02 a while. Thank
96:12 comments? Okay. Um, we'll do a quick assessment of the board meeting. Since
96:14 assessment of the board meeting. Since we're reaching the end of the meeting,
96:16 we're reaching the end of the meeting, we always take a moment for self
96:17 we always take a moment for self assessment because we value
96:19 assessment because we value accountability. Do any of you have any
96:22 accountability. Do any of you have any feedback about things that worked well
96:23 feedback about things that worked well in the meeting, things that need to
96:32 improve? I'll make a comment. I'll thank the board. We have a lot of complex and
96:35 the board. We have a lot of complex and robust information. And I'll tell you, I
96:39 robust information. And I'll tell you, I think this is one of the first boards
96:40 think this is one of the first boards where each of you work independently, do
96:44 where each of you work independently, do your homework, get the information,
96:47 your homework, get the information, really work through again topics and
96:50 really work through again topics and items that we need to address. Um, and
96:54 items that we need to address. Um, and so sometimes I think it looks like the
96:55 so sometimes I think it looks like the board it's it's like it's just calm and
96:57 board it's it's like it's just calm and it moves, but I also know personally um
97:00 it moves, but I also know personally um and the work that each of you are
97:02 and the work that each of you are putting in. So, as a chair, I would like
97:04 putting in. So, as a chair, I would like to thank you for all the work because it
97:06 to thank you for all the work because it makes my life so much easier and being
97:08 makes my life so much easier and being able to um facilitate meetings and run
97:11 able to um facilitate meetings and run the meetings. So, thank
97:18 you. Anything else for the good of the order, Jerry? Anything else? Okay, then
97:22 order, Jerry? Anything else? Okay, then I would ask for a motion to adjurnn. I
97:25 I would ask for a motion to adjurnn. I so move. Thank you, Jean. Second.
97:28 so move. Thank you, Jean. Second. Thanks, Janine. All those in favor say
97:30 Thanks, Janine. All those in favor say I. I. I.
97:32 I. I. I. Meeting adjourned.
