0:17 faith hope and love
0:20 girls have considered we'll call them
0:22 the three sacred impulses
0:25 and
0:27 you could see direct parallels into the
0:29 father of the son and the holy spirit
0:32 you can see
0:33 i believe very direct parallels into the
0:35 three brains
0:37 faith is of the first brain faith must
0:41 have faith
0:42 strength strength comes from that faith
0:45 as a sacred impulse is
0:47 this is what i am
0:50 take me for what i am don't make me into
0:53 something other than what i am
0:56 i have confidence in that i see into my
1:00 physical nature and this is what i am
1:03 it's really important i have faith in
1:05 that faith in the capacities that are
1:08 given to me as a physical body uh
1:12 they're not blown up they're not
1:13 imaginary they are they are limited to
1:16 what capacities i have as a physical
1:19 body
1:20 uh when i said it's an assessment of
1:22 capacity of my physical capacities i
1:25 know that that when i was younger i
1:28 could climb mountains i could chop down
1:30 trees
1:31 i could work hard physically hard
1:34 i had certain capacities with regard to
1:37 cooking i could cook a meal i could do
1:41 the wide variety of things that that we
1:43 do
1:44 physically in ordinary life
1:47 and when i have confidence in those when
1:50 i know those capacities
1:53 then i have a measure of faith
1:56 what i would consider to be faith i have
1:58 faith in my capacities they're there
2:01 no question they're there okay
2:04 we move to hope
2:07 hope is
2:08 from in this perspective hope is the
2:10 commitment
2:12 of all of that faith
2:15 to an enterprise
2:16 that is indeterminate
2:19 okay
2:20 but i must commit my faith i don't
2:23 if it's willy-nilly hope then i i hope
2:27 that the mega bucks will pay me uh uh a
2:30 million bucks tomorrow even though i
2:31 haven't bought a ticket i mean there's
2:34 we got silly what for gertrude called
2:36 silly open uh it's endless
2:39 we hope for all kinds of impossible
2:41 circumstances
2:42 but real hope's sacred hope in
2:45 encouraging times
2:46 is for me is the commitment of my
2:48 capacities
2:50 to an enterprise
2:52 i committed to something i hope this
2:54 will turn come out
2:57 but i do that
3:02 knowing that it might not turn out that
3:04 way
3:04 and i have to accept
3:07 going into it
3:08 that while i am committing my capacities
3:11 to this
3:13 i know that lawfully it may not work out
3:17 that's the essence for me that's the
3:19 essence of hope as a sacred impulse the
3:22 kurds have put that in in the proper
3:25 place in the emotional world he said we
3:28 we must uh
3:29 emotional emotionally or or in terms of
3:32 i commit the
3:34 my physical capacities to help you
3:37 you know
3:38 and
3:39 and i do that
3:40 the only condition being that i i know
3:43 that it it can't possibly work out
3:46 maybe
3:48 i can do the best i can i can commit
3:51 myself to that
3:52 and i hope it will be of use okay that
3:55 that's the kind of qualification of of
3:58 the first brain okay and the second
4:01 brain
4:03 for gergeif
4:05 the third brain
4:07 is as he considered it is the true holy
4:11 affirming
4:12 and it is the carrier of love
4:15 of divine love not emotional love
4:19 what what i called in the one essay that
4:21 i tried to write on the three sacred
4:22 impulses
4:24 uh the best i could come up with and i
4:26 realized that it may have lots of
4:28 shortcomings was
4:30 um
4:31 the impulse of good will
4:34 toward all and everything okay
4:37 that
4:38 regardless of what it is at its own
4:40 measure throughout the the array of
4:42 creation
4:44 i wish it well
4:47 and that that is
4:49 i could i could understand that as an
4:51 expression of divine love it's not a
4:53 mamby pamby thing it's very hard
4:57 but it's very constant very constant
5:00 that the good will never
5:03 ever ends okay
5:04 three sacred impulses are also it's
5:07 possible to collapse those if you will
5:10 into the will
5:11 of endlessness
5:13 that that
5:15 endlessness must have the three sacred
5:17 impulses
5:18 fused into one
5:21 so then we can say that faith hope and
5:22 love have one higher expression within
5:26 the triune will of endlessness
5:42 in the chapter
5:43 the cosmic origin of the sacred impulses
5:47 we maintained that the sacred impulses
5:50 of faith hope and love
5:54 enter into each level
5:56 of the ray of creation
5:59 their actions
6:00 as impulses
6:03 resulting in properties
6:05 and functions
6:07 that can be described
6:09 as manifestations
6:11 of the impulses
6:15 at the level of the lateral octave
6:19 an octave which has its dough
6:22 in six of the twelve laws of world
6:25 twelve
6:27 great nature
6:28 or the creative powers of the sun
6:32 as reflected into the dose c of the
6:34 lateral octave
6:37 enters as a secondary
6:39 creative influence
6:42 on the sacred impulses
6:46 via the creative actions of great nature
6:50 the sacred impulses become embodied
6:54 in the life of the earth
6:58 one could say that one celled
7:01 multi-celled
7:03 and brained beings
7:07 are the result of the creative
7:08 manipulations of great nature
7:12 that blend together
7:15 what we call the physical world
7:18 of atoms and molecules
7:20 with the powers inherent
7:22 in the sacred impulses
7:28 we are surrounded by
7:31 indeed
7:32 we are embedded within
7:35 manifestations
7:37 functional expressions
7:39 of faith hope
7:41 and
7:42 love when we look at the trees that
7:45 surround our houses
7:47 we can see the faith
7:51 the hope
7:52 and the love of treeness
7:55 expressed
7:56 their faith is seen in their continuing
7:58 presence as tree
8:01 they remain day after day
8:03 year after year
8:05 true to their nature as tree
8:10 the trunk and limb growth
8:12 the sprouting of new leaves each spring
8:15 the spreading of pollen and seed
8:18 each of these are manifestations
8:22 of their hope
8:24 their commitment
8:25 of all their capacities to be
8:29 their faith
8:30 into an indeterminate future
8:34 their leafy canopy welcomes and protects
8:37 birds squirrels
8:39 a grand mix of caterpillars butterflies
8:42 moths and other insects
8:46 this welcoming can be understood as one
8:49 expression of love
8:51 their manifestation of good will
8:54 toward other life forms
8:58 it is known from studies
9:00 that their leaves take in carbon dioxide
9:03 and empowered by the light of the sun
9:06 give off oxygen
9:09 that substance vital for other forms of
9:12 life
9:14 their roots draw from the earth
9:17 a variety of minerals and water
9:19 providing entry for these substances
9:23 into successive octaves of life
9:27 opening new possibilities for each
9:31 each of these processes
9:34 occurring in worlds that are invisible
9:37 to us
9:39 is a further expression of the
9:41 embodiment of love
9:44 within treeness
9:47 each of these automatic manifestations
9:50 of the action of faith hope and love
9:53 enters my body
9:56 and finally my awareness
9:59 as an impression
10:01 as impulses
10:03 they may initiate a process which
10:07 if unobstructed by kunda buffer
10:09 etoclinos
10:11 and or my unbecomingness
10:14 can resonantly evoke the recognition in
10:17 me
10:18 of the presence
10:20 of these sacred impulses
10:23 in this manner
10:25 the results of the sacred impulses
10:28 embodied in the life forms of the
10:31 external world
10:33 enter into me
10:35 and evoke
10:37 by resonance
10:38 the awareness that i too
10:42 am an embodiment of the sacred impulses
10:46 it is similarly so when i become aware
10:48 of the influence of the sun in my life
10:53 it warms me
10:55 and via its invisible light radiation
10:58 makes it possible to see the world
11:00 around me
11:03 it provides warmth and light through
11:05 which we see
11:07 to all life
11:09 giving without interruption
11:12 for billions of years
11:15 this influence
11:17 this never
11:18 ceasing influence
11:21 can be understood as a manifestation of
11:24 love
11:25 at the level of the sun
11:28 when i look at the images of the sun
11:30 taken by infrared visible
11:34 ultraviolet and x-ray observatories
11:38 it creates an overwhelming impression of
11:41 power and energy
11:43 of the capacity to be
11:46 and year after year to remain
11:49 that
11:51 in this
11:53 i am seeing a reflection
11:55 of the faith of the sun
11:59 when i learned that life has been
12:00 sustained
12:02 for some four billion years by
12:05 influences originating in the sun
12:08 i am momentarily aware of the essence
12:12 of the impulse of hope
12:15 our son has committed its capacities
12:18 its faith
12:20 to this life-giving
12:22 life-sustaining and hazardous venture
12:27 can my commitment
12:29 of my capacities
12:31 begin to compare
12:34 to this level of hopefulness
12:39 the examples of trees and of the sun
12:42 were spoken of as if
12:44 they involved a specific intention and
12:48 awareness on their
12:50 part
12:52 unfortunately our language is limited in
12:55 this regard
12:57 and is a reflection of our strong
12:59 tendency
13:01 to anthropomorphize almost everything
13:06 the impression that we want to convey
13:09 is that each of the manifestations noted
13:12 above
13:13 are automatic expressions
13:16 of faith hope and love
13:18 on a cosmic level
13:21 flowing always from the emanation of
13:24 theo mertemologos
13:27 this represents a way of understanding
13:30 the origin and influence
13:32 of gurjev's sacred being impulses
13:36 considered independently
13:39 of our narrow human perspective
13:43 given this perspective
13:45 on the embodiments of the sacred
13:47 impulses
13:49 and keeping in mind that they enter us
13:52 as impulses
13:54 but not as completed states within us
13:59 the question that next arises is
14:03 what is there
14:05 inside each of us
14:07 as three-brained beings
14:10 that can resonate with these impulses
14:14 and begin a harmonic process
14:17 that could result in appropriate
14:19 manifestations by us
14:22 and through us
14:24 of faith hope
14:25 and love
14:28 this question
14:29 led to a further exploration
14:32 of the biological unfolding of our three
14:35 brains
14:36 as specifically related
14:39 to considerations of faith hope
14:42 and love
14:45 those three sacred impulses
14:48 are also it's possible to collapse those
14:50 if you will
14:51 into the will
14:53 of endlessness
14:55 that that
14:56 endlessness must have the three sacred
14:59 impulses
15:00 fused into one
15:02 so then we can say that faith open love
15:04 have one higher expression
15:07 within the triune will of endlessness
15:30 you
