0:14 how do I become a content creator where
0:16 should I start what are the most
0:18 important keys to focus on is there a
0:20 secret to going viral on a brand new
0:22 channel and how do I monetize so I can
0:24 actually make an incredible living doing
0:25 this thing that I love these are all
0:27 questions you need to ask yourself when
0:28 getting started as a content creator in
0:30 good news today we're going to go
0:32 through all of them and condense
0:33 everything that I've learned building a
0:35 decent sized audience in a multi-million
0:37 dollar Pere content creation business in
0:39 this one [Music]
0:41 [Music]
0:43 video to get started quickly you need to
0:46 do one thing extremely fast you need to
0:48 get good enough at actually creating
0:50 content now this sounds intimidating I
0:53 know there are so many cameras lenses
0:55 settings lights microphones editing
0:56 programs and so much more but here's the
0:58 good news you do not need to master
1:00 content creation you just need to get
1:02 good enough in order to start and I can
1:04 teach you that right now in the next 30
1:07 seconds you need a phone a tripod a
1:08 cheap light and a microphone I have
1:10 links to all of these things down below
1:11 in the description choose a nice
1:13 background not too cluttered avoid
1:16 Windows put a chair down set your light
1:17 up slightly to the side and in front of
1:19 where you're sitting open your camera
1:21 app and hit record with the microphone
1:22 plugged in play around with this for a
1:24 couple days maybe test out some
1:26 different locations and Bam you are
1:28 going to be good enough to graduate to
1:29 the next level of this journey now there
1:31 there is a lot more that goes into
1:33 creating insanely good content and this
1:34 is exactly what we teach at content
1:36 creator.com but you'll learn these
1:38 things as you go no one in the history
1:40 of anything was great when they first
1:42 started Mastery only comes through doing
1:44 the thing okay now that you know how to
1:46 create content let's talk about content
1:49 strategy this comes down to three things
1:51 what's your Niche what platform should
1:53 you focus on and what will your formats
1:55 be let's start with defining your Niche
1:56 or the main topic that your content will
1:58 focus on now I don't mean to scare
2:00 anyone here but picking Niche might just
2:02 be the single biggest decision that you
2:04 make in this journey and this isn't
2:05 because some niches are doomed from the
2:07 start you can be successful with any
2:08 Niche it's an important decision because
2:10 your passion and interest in a niche
2:12 will determine your motivation and being
2:14 able to maintain that motivation over
2:16 time is the true key to success pick
2:17 something you're just casually
2:19 interested in and you'll likely run out
2:21 of video ideas or you'll just get tired
2:23 of creating content on the topic simply
2:24 because you were never that interested
2:26 in it to begin with so really think and
2:28 ask yourself what's the thing that I
2:30 could create content on for the next 5
2:32 years it could be cooking content advice
2:35 for filing taxes travel content as long
2:37 as others share your interest figuring
2:39 this out will be your unfair advantage
2:41 and it will help you Skyrocket your
2:43 growth over time a great way to do Niche
2:45 research is to just type in the content
2:47 topic on YouTube You'll see both long
2:49 and short form examples and if the
2:51 thought of creating similar content to
2:52 what you see here is exciting then you
2:54 know you're on the right track and don't
2:56 worry if you don't feel like an expert
2:58 in any of these potential niches you
2:59 will become an expert over time as as
3:01 you dive deeper and deeper into the
3:03 field and people actually enjoy
3:06 consuming content from others who are
3:08 themselves beginners in the field okay
3:09 now we've got to choose the platforms
3:11 that you're going to create content on
3:12 in a perfect world you would create
3:14 content on all the major platforms but
3:16 for someone getting started you really
3:18 only need to focus on one to be
3:20 successful now again ask yourself the
3:22 question do you want to create short
3:25 form content like reals Tik toks and
3:27 YouTube shorts or do you want to create
3:29 long form content which undoubtedly you
3:31 YouTube is the platform for that which
3:33 do you enjoy consuming more which do you
3:36 already have more ideas for each
3:37 approach has its own pros and cons but
3:40 again the key to long-term success is
3:42 starting by following your pre-existing
3:43 desires now if you are completely
3:45 undecided in my opinion short form
3:48 content is easier to start with each
3:50 video is smaller and less work you can
3:52 also quickly repost that same video
3:54 across all the short form platforms only
3:56 increasing the odds of getting
3:58 recommended in going viral however I do
4:00 think building a business only off of
4:03 short form content is much harder than
4:05 with long form content attention spans
4:07 are just super short on the short form
4:09 platforms and building that deeper
4:10 connection is harder when you only have
4:12 a few seconds with each video whereas
4:14 long form content on the other hand it's
4:17 a bit harder to get started because each
4:19 video is longer and a larger project but
4:20 it's better for building deeper
4:21 connections with your audience and also
4:24 has more business upside on the back end
4:26 with AdSense Revenue higher payments on
4:28 brand deals and sponsorships and it can
4:29 get extremely lucrative when it comes
4:31 comes to selling your own physical or
4:33 digital products and we'll touch more on
4:35 all this monetization stuff later on in
4:37 the video like I said earlier as you
4:39 progress in this journey you will do
4:40 both eventually but again if you're
4:42 completely undecided just start with
4:44 short form content it's like baking a
4:46 whole sheet of muffins versus one really
4:48 large cake for a similar amount of
4:51 ingredients and effort you just create a
4:53 lot more you'll also learn a lot faster
4:55 with each quick video you create and
4:56 that will eventually translate over to
4:58 YouTube when you start doing that as
5:00 well then last but not least in this
5:02 getting started section we have to talk
5:04 about your formats let's say your Niche
5:05 is Fitness and you want to start with
5:07 short form content popular formats in
5:10 this Niche are challenges workout or
5:12 dieting tips interesting facts about
5:14 Fitness that people don't know
5:16 motivational videos funny skits that
5:18 other people can relate to these formats
5:20 apply to almost all niches and there are
5:22 tons more but getting started your goal
5:24 is to pick a few different formats that
5:26 you feel comfortable recreating you'll
5:27 post these videos and see how your
5:30 audience however small reacts each and
5:32 then you'll use the data to inform the
5:33 direction that you take moving forward
5:35 for example if one of your videos let's
5:37 say it was an educational tip video it
5:39 got more views than all the other
5:41 formats you tested now moving forward
5:43 you want to focus on those educational
5:45 Styles way more for every three videos
5:47 you post two should be following that
5:49 main format that tends to do best with
5:51 the third being a new format that you
5:53 haven't tested yet I call this informed
5:56 experimentation doing something we know
5:58 Works while reserving a portion of our
5:59 effort for testing new things at the the
6:01 same time going through my own YouTube
6:03 channel here you'll see that we have a
6:05 handful of different formats that we
6:07 kind of recycle over and over again we
6:09 have the watch before series we do
6:11 review videos on New Gear we have pretty
6:13 in-depth editing tutorials and then we
6:15 have straight up like educational
6:17 strategy videos like this every time
6:19 that you find a new format that works
6:21 just add it as a consistent pillar in
6:23 your content cycle okay so now we know
6:24 how to create content that is good
6:26 enough to get started we have a clear
6:28 understanding of our Niche our platforms
6:30 and our formats let's talk about two
6:33 huge growth Keys focusing on these Keys
6:35 is crucial if you want results quickly
6:37 you'll accomplish in 10 videos What It
6:39 Takes most people who aren't focusing on
6:42 these keys to accomplish in 100 videos
6:43 key number one is the hardest for most
6:45 beginners to truly understand your
6:48 videos are not for you they are for your
6:49 viewer think about this video you're
6:51 watching right now I never even
6:53 mentioned my name other than a small
6:54 graphic in the bottom corner of the
6:56 screen at the beginning of the video the
6:58 only details I gave you about myself is
7:00 that I have a somewhat large audience
7:01 and I've made a decent amount of money
7:03 as a content creator these were the only
7:05 two crucial pieces of information needed
7:07 to establish the fact that I know what
7:09 I'm talking about in this field and
7:11 therefore it's worth your time and
7:13 attention to watch this video every
7:14 other second of this video has been
7:17 devoted to providing value to you the
7:19 viewer in the form of educational tips
7:20 and guidance which by the way if you do
7:22 appreciate this type of content make
7:23 sure to hit that subscribe button
7:24 because it does really help out our
7:26 Channel I see so many videos from
7:28 beginner channels on YouTube where they
7:30 spend you know a big chunk of the
7:32 beginning of the video talking about
7:34 themselves and why they wanted to create
7:37 this video and it's just not a quick
7:39 path to where most people want to go the
7:41 irony is if you want to build an
7:43 audience for you the last thing you want
7:45 to do is talk about yourself always ask
7:47 yourself how the video You're creating
7:49 is valuable to the viewer and make that
7:51 form of value the main focus educational
7:53 content has always been my strength as I
7:55 enjoy teaching but making someone laugh
7:56 through an entertaining skit or keeping
7:58 them glued to the screen to see the
8:00 results of a challenge are other forms
8:01 of value anything that makes the viewer
8:03 feel like it was time well spent
8:05 watching the content is value if your
8:07 goal is to go full-time you need to be
8:09 able to consistently generate views and
8:10 build an audience and making your
8:12 content about the viewer is the best way
8:14 to do this now speaking of getting views
8:16 this next key is essential it's the Holy
8:18 Trinity of creating content nowadays
8:20 never sleep on the importance of the
8:22 title the thumbnail and the hook of your
8:24 video now if you are only focused on
8:26 short form content for now it's really
8:28 just the hook that you need to care
8:30 about but understanding all these three
8:32 things is beyond important look at this
8:34 right here this is what you always need
8:35 in your brain while planning out your
8:37 content everyone is battling for
8:39 attention and you need to stand out in
8:41 order to capture that attention the
8:43 video behind this thumbnail could be so
8:45 wildly good but if the title and
8:47 thumbnail don't entice people to
8:49 actually click it will never get watched
8:51 Mr Beast has a great quote where he says
8:53 you can never fully understand how
8:55 important titles thumbnails and hooks
8:57 are because every single day in your
8:59 career you realize it more than the
9:00 previous previous day the faster you're
9:02 able to realize this importance the
9:04 faster you'll get views and an audience
9:05 which means you'll be able to go
9:07 fulltime much faster there is never been
9:09 a better time to start a YouTube channel
9:11 than right now simply because the
9:13 algorithm on YouTube really tries its
9:15 best to give new creators a shot every
9:17 day when scrolling on YouTube I see
9:19 videos from extremely small creators pop
9:22 up on my feed and this is YouTube trying
9:24 to test their content to see if people
9:26 will click and watch and the easiest way
9:28 to succeed and put yourself above 99% of
9:31 new creators is to focus on making
9:33 clickable titles and thumbnails but
9:35 anyways let's move on to the hook when
9:36 talking about the video itself this is
9:38 easily the most important part and if
9:40 you're creating short form content for
9:43 social media this is like the number one
9:45 thing that you need to study a hook in
9:47 theory is extremely simple on YouTube in
9:48 the first few seconds of the video you
9:50 need to deliver on the expectation
9:52 people have that was set by the title in
9:54 the thumbnail and make them know that
9:56 they're going to get what they want but
9:58 you also need to introduce something new
9:59 that makes them curious ious enough to
10:01 stick around going back to our fitness
10:03 examples from earlier we could have a
10:05 title in a thumbnail outlining a certain
10:07 diet the hook could start by saying in
10:08 this video we're going to cover exactly
10:11 how to lose 10 lbs in the next 60 days
10:13 using this diet and you'll learn the
10:15 three foods that most Americans eat on a
10:17 daily basis that completely destroys
10:19 their progress see how we delivered on
10:22 the expectation by touching on the diet
10:23 that they were expecting to hear about
10:25 but then we added another element of
10:27 curiosity by touching on the three foods
10:29 that they have to avoid now on short
10:31 form content since there isn't this wall
10:32 of videos that you're choosing between
10:34 and instead you're just scrolling the
10:36 primary goal you should have is to
10:39 introduce some form of curiosity but
10:41 before that you need to actually say or
10:43 show something that just stops the
10:46 scroll it could be a crazy visual a wild
10:48 claim something that a person just
10:49 wasn't expecting to see you have
10:51 fractions of a second to convince
10:53 somebody to stop scrolling so really
10:54 keep that in your mind when you're
10:56 designing your short form content unlike
10:57 YouTube where the competition is
10:59 battling for attention with the thumb
11:01 nail and the title on social media your
11:03 competition is the speed at which
11:05 everything is passing by and your tool
11:06 to succeed is how fast you can catch
11:08 their eye and stop that scroll create
11:10 valuable content while focusing on these
11:12 major keys and you will naturally get
11:13 your content recommended you will
11:15 quickly build an audience and all of a
11:16 sudden you will be thrown into the
11:18 exhilarating world of content
11:20 monetization now you might be thinking
11:22 monetization sounds exciting Anthony but
11:24 I'm just getting started it's probably a
11:26 long way off I'll wait to learn about it
11:28 then this is a big mistake my friend
11:29 starting a business with without
11:31 understanding the fundamental ways to
11:33 make money doing it just because it
11:35 sounds like it's a far off thing is a
11:37 terrible idea and if you focus on
11:39 everything we talk about in this video
11:40 you can make enough money to quit your
11:43 job extremely fast and we'll cover some
11:44 real life examples throughout this video
11:46 before we get to that though let's cover
11:49 the four primary ways to generate income
11:51 as a Creator first we have platform
11:53 Revenue sharing on YouTube This is
11:55 called AdSense Tik Tok has their creator
11:57 fund they all have their own names
11:58 unless you're Instagram and you don't
12:00 Reven Vue share with creators either way
12:02 these platforms Place ads on your
12:04 content or around your content which
12:07 advertisers have to pay money to do that
12:09 and then as a thank you for providing
12:10 your video as the place where the ads
12:12 are going to be shown the platform will
12:14 pay you a small portion of the
12:15 advertising Revenue in our experience
12:17 the main platform that this really
12:19 starts to add up on is YouTube so we'll
12:21 just kind of generalize this and call it
12:23 AdSense moving forward after that we
12:25 have affiliate Revenue which is a
12:27 commission you get paid anytime someone
12:29 buys another company's product using an
12:31 affiliate link that you created for
12:32 example if you buy any of the camera
12:34 gear that we have linked Below in the
12:36 description we get like a 3 to 8%
12:38 Commission on it at no extra cost to you
12:40 AdSense and Affiliates are your level
12:42 one income you could set up an Amazon
12:44 affiliate account today start
12:46 recommending some gear in your content
12:48 and start making money and for AdSense
12:49 you just need to consistently create
12:51 content that gets views and eventually
12:53 that money will start coming in for our
12:56 Channel we make about $10 to $12,000 per
12:57 month between the two of these income
12:59 streams which is great but for most
13:01 beginners I would tell you that you're
13:03 not going to quit your job based on
13:05 these two income streams anytime soon
13:06 keep watching though and I'll tell you
13:07 exactly what I would do if I was
13:10 starting over today from scratch and
13:11 wanted to make a full-time income as
13:13 soon as possible but anyways after that
13:16 level one income we have brand deals and
13:18 sponsorships this is when a brand pays
13:20 you directly to integrate their product
13:22 or service somehow in your video you
13:24 could just recommend it outright or you
13:26 could just be using it throughout your
13:28 video which of course will draw interest
13:30 to it as you start to gain traction with
13:31 your content take notice of the other
13:33 creators in your Niche and see what
13:35 brands that they're working with these
13:36 are the companies that you'll want to
13:38 start reaching out to simply because you
13:40 know they already have marketing budgets
13:41 and systems in place for working with
13:43 creators at the very beginning your
13:46 deals will be trade for service so
13:47 they'll just give you your product in
13:49 exchange for you making a video on the
13:51 topic and you really want to blow this
13:52 out of the water for them because the
13:54 views and results that you generate for
13:56 these early sponsors will be what
13:58 convinces future sponsors to pay you the
14:00 big bucks and sometimes you don't even
14:02 need to wait and ask for these Brands
14:04 permission for example on our Channel
14:06 last year we have a lighting brand
14:07 called newer that we really like and I
14:10 made a video recommending their products
14:11 it wasn't sponsored or anything like
14:13 that I just genuinely appreciate their
14:15 products we put an affiliate link for
14:16 some of their lights in the description
14:19 and it's gone on to generate like over
14:21 $100,000 in sales for them in less than
14:23 a year you can imagine after seeing the
14:26 results like that newer is now a big fan
14:27 of our Channel and they regularly
14:29 sponsor our content and they're willing
14:31 to pay a lot more because they know the
14:33 potential of what our content can do for
14:35 them anyways naturally this side of your
14:37 business will grow over time but I still
14:39 have one major issue with every
14:41 monetization strategy that we've covered
14:43 so far they all take a relatively long
14:45 time to build up into serious income
14:47 streams brand deals by themselves can
14:49 pay a lot but you need to have a
14:51 substantial following and a proven track
14:53 record of views and engagement to
14:55 justify those larger paychecks and when
14:57 the goal is to go full-time as quickly
14:59 as possible this all doesn't really add
15:01 up so far which brings us to the final
15:04 strategy selling your own products
15:05 through your content now most people
15:07 probably think of the biggest creators
15:09 making hundreds of millions of dollars
15:11 selling physical products like Mr Beast
15:15 in febles Logan Paul in Prime Mark Rober
15:17 and his crunch Labs product but for
15:19 beginners looking to go full-time as
15:21 fast as possible I'd highly suggest
15:23 taking the opposite route and focusing
15:26 on digital products like courses PDF
15:29 guides preset packs software Solutions
15:30 online marketplaces and more the
15:32 beautiful aspect of this is you have
15:34 pure ownership over everything and there
15:36 are no physical costs of goods sold
15:38 because it's all a digital product
15:40 you're also not forced to say anything
15:42 to make another company happy you don't
15:43 need to constantly rush to hit other
15:45 companies deadlines and you're able to
15:48 come up with content ideas that you just
15:50 want to create not content ideas that
15:52 have to again integrate with another
15:54 brand and best of all you can start
15:57 making money now no matter how big your
15:59 audience is even if you only get views
16:02 all it takes is one person to really
16:04 like what you said click on a link and
16:06 purchase your product now I know it
16:07 might sound intimidating creating your
16:10 own product but guess what you can start
16:12 extremely small with your products and
16:14 grow over time take this couple here as
16:16 an example two Americans who followed
16:18 their dream and moved to Switzerland
16:19 with nothing but a phone they started
16:21 creating content documenting their
16:23 travels making travel recommendations
16:24 and more they didn't really get that
16:26 many views at the start but over time it
16:27 grew now they're still not a huge
16:29 Channel by any means but during their
16:31 Journey they decided to create a small
16:33 PDF guide outlining a 7-Day travel
16:35 itinerary for people interested in
16:37 vacationing in Switzerland by making
16:39 very subtle call to actions in just a
16:41 few of their YouTube videos they've gone
16:44 on to sell over 2,500 copies of this PDF
16:47 guide which at $49 it's over
16:50 $122,000 in sales and like any smart
16:51 business person they went on to create
16:55 some more guides 500 copies sold 1,000
16:57 copies sold another 500 copies sold this
16:59 is hundreds of thousands of dollars
17:01 generated by simply creating content
17:03 about their passion and then creating a
17:05 small digital product business to tag
17:07 along for the journey now I discovered
17:09 this couple by accident I was literally
17:11 going crazy trying to plan out my own
17:12 honeymoon with Courtney these past few
17:14 weeks I came across their Channel I
17:16 ended up buying their guide which is
17:18 incredible by the way I highly recommend
17:19 it for anyone planning a vacation and
17:21 then I did some simple math to realize
17:23 just how well they've done with their
17:24 relatively small YouTube channel I mean
17:26 we have students in our programs at
17:28 content creator.com who've hit over
17:30 10,000 subscribers in their first month
17:32 on YouTube and that right there is way
17:33 more than you need to get started
17:35 selling digital products we even have
17:36 students like Ashley here who took her
17:38 passion for music created a small
17:40 digital product and within months was
17:42 able to quit her full-time job as an
17:44 engineer which you can actually see on
17:46 this graph represented by the spike in
17:48 total revenue and she actually just
17:51 cracked $1 million in sales from a small
17:53 digital product business which is just
17:55 so freaking awesome I've still got some
17:57 more tips that we need to cover in this
17:59 video but for those who want a 30 day
18:01 road map to growing a digital product
18:02 business in the description below there
18:04 is a link where you can watch a full
18:06 40-minute training that covers the 30
18:08 step process for creating and launching
18:09 digital products we've had a ton of
18:10 people go through that process and
18:12 Achieve way more than they ever thought
18:14 possible simply by selling digital
18:16 products but anyways let's cover some
18:17 steps that you should take now that will
18:19 make your monetization journey that much
18:21 easier number one start collecting
18:25 emails today as soon as possible make
18:27 something small but valuable and give it
18:29 away for free in your content check out
18:31 this post right here on my Instagram
18:32 when you comment Apple log you're
18:34 automatically sent a DM with a link that
18:36 brings you to a page where you can put
18:38 your email address in in exchange for
18:40 getting that free color grading preset
18:42 that one really small post that took me
18:44 like an hour to put together went on to
18:46 generate over a thousand email leads one
18:48 of our students Tim Packer who is a
18:50 painter made an ebook for other painters
18:52 and he used this same strategy we teach
18:54 it's called social comment Automation
18:56 and he got thousands of leads from one
18:58 post even though his normal videos don't
19:00 get many use it all and by the way the
19:01 software we use to do social comment
19:03 automation is called content creator
19:05 machine and all of our students get a
19:07 discount on this software otherwise you
19:09 can use many chat it just gets a little
19:11 bit more expensive over time as your
19:13 contact list grows compared to content
19:15 creator machine which is one fixed price
19:17 all the time social comment automation
19:19 is a super easy way to generate leads
19:21 while also helping boost the reach of
19:23 your content since you're basically
19:25 incentivizing people to leave comments
19:27 you end up getting a lot more comments
19:29 which then only tells the algorithm to
19:30 boost your content out to more people
19:32 who will then leave more comments which
19:34 then only kind of goes on this cycle
19:36 again and again now on the YouTube side
19:38 same exact concept create something
19:41 small for free and mention it in every
19:43 single one of your videos even if only a
19:45 small percentage of viewers click give
19:47 their email and download the free thing
19:48 you are building that email list which
19:51 is so valuable in the future when you
19:53 decide to launch a paid digital product
19:55 having that list will make the launch go
19:57 so much better you'll get an immediate
19:59 wave of profit which then you can use to
20:01 pay yourself or you can reinvest it into
20:03 more strategies that will grow your
20:06 business even faster like team members
20:08 PID ad campaigns and so on also on the
20:11 brand deal and sponsorship side one way
20:12 that we've been able to drastically
20:14 increase the rates Brands pay us is by
20:17 including our email list as a source of
20:19 value so when we do a brand deal rather
20:21 than just integrate their product into a
20:23 YouTube video we usually also do one to
20:26 two social media posts and will include
20:27 a mention of their product in a
20:29 newsletter that gets sent out to our
20:31 email list of hundreds of thousands of
20:33 people by packaging all of these things
20:35 together we can justify charging a lot
20:37 more for our brand deals we also almost
20:40 always get a custom discount link for
20:41 the product or whatever we're
20:43 recommending that way our newsletter
20:46 audience gets an exclusive deal making
20:48 it an even bigger win-win for everyone
20:50 and finally if I to leave you with one
20:51 thing about this world of content
20:53 creation and trying to go fulltime as
20:55 fast as possible it's this yes you need
20:57 a strategy and a foundation in place to
20:59 get incredible results and this video
21:01 was all about that strategy side of
21:02 things but at the end of the day you
21:04 truly need to fall in love with the
21:07 process and do it primarily because you
21:09 just want to there's a part of you that
21:10 just wouldn't feel complete if you
21:12 weren't able to talk about your passion
21:14 create content all of those things it's
21:16 only the people who truly love it have
21:18 that passion and do it consistently that
21:20 get the incredible results I like saying
21:23 to obsess over the process not the
21:24 outcome doing that protects you from
21:26 burnout because you won't constantly be
21:28 let down if something doesn't get the
21:30 outcome you wanted and as a byproduct of
21:32 focusing on the process over everything
21:34 else you'll get really good and the
21:36 outcome will naturally happen now I'm
21:37 going to practice what I preached in
21:40 this video and let those of you know who
21:42 really value streamlined learning
21:44 experiences you should check out our
21:45 fortun day filmmaker online course
