A warrior of the Treta Yuga, considered impossible to defeat.
Even the mighty Ravana himself surrendered before him;
his mere presence halved the strength of an enemy. He was
Indra's son, Bali, the ruler of Kishkindha.
But one day, intoxicated with power, Bali made an
unimaginable mistake. He insulted Lord Rama. "
I will crush him under my feet!" And then Hanuman's anger erupted.
And when Hanuman and Bali came face to face, Bali began to perceive the boon of his own strength as a curse,
and this is where the true story begins.
In the forests of Kishkindha, the valiant Hanuman
was engrossed in meditation on his Lord Rama. Ram, Ram,
when Bali, like a mad elephant, arrogantly began destroying the forest.
Is there anyone in this universe who can withstand Bali's arms?
O son of Indra, why are you destroying these peaceful trees in vain?
Chant the name of Rama. This ego will be calmed.
You, a simple monkey, will teach me. Rama,
that mortal man.
I will crush him under my feet.
Fight this servant of his before my Lord Shri Ram. The challenge
is accepted. Tomorrow, at sunrise, you will be destroyed.
Ram Ram Ram! Lord Brahma himself has appeared.
Son Hanuman, you are aware of Bali's boon.
There is no need to fight him. Grandfather, he has challenged my Lord Shri Ram.
Showing cowardice as a servant is against my duty. Okay, son. But
keep only a small portion of your power with you. Dedicate the rest to your Lord's feet.
By Brahma's command, Hanuman renounced his infinite power
[music]
and with the sunrise, carrying only a tiny fraction of that infinite strength, he reached the battlefield.
Death has come to embrace him. Get ready.
As soon as he saw Bali, Bali's boon became active.
Half of Hanuman's strength began to absorb into Bali.
This power, this immense power.
[music] My body will burst.
Bali began to feel the boon of his own strength as a curse.
Run, Bali, if you want to survive, run away from Hanuman.
Bali ran hundreds of miles away, saving his life. Where Brahma Ji reappeared.
Lord, what was that monkey? Why couldn't
I bear so much power ? Foolish Bali, Hanuman
had come with only a small part of his power. Your body couldn't bear even half of that, that is, only a fifth.
Imagine if Hanuman had come with full power.
Bali was stunned. His ego was shattered in a moment.
Bali returned and fell at Hanuman Ji's feet.
O Mahabali, forgive me. I was a fool to challenge your master, Shri Ram.
The real ornament of power is humility, Rajan.
Remember the name of Ram. You will be blessed.
And in this way, ego bowed before devotion.
Jai Shri Ram.
