0:15 uh working with them has made me realize
0:18 that i don't have to change
0:22 absolutely everything straight away um
0:24 you know like i've cut out the smoking
0:26 and in the drinking
0:30 um yeah the dietitian is starting to put
0:30 me on a plan
0:34 and things to where i don't have to make
0:38 massive changes um initially
0:41 uh psychologists are working with them to
0:42 to
0:45 to you know slowly implement uh changes and
0:45 and
0:49 in behavior and and things over time uh
0:52 and the ot and the um the physio are
0:54 saying i'm making great progress in
0:57 as far as strength and balance and uh
0:58 and movement goes
1:00 and they keep me motivated by
1:02 continually referring it back to the
1:03 kids so
1:12 i mean there's been a lot of challenges
1:14 we're working
1:16 um with the team you know one of the
1:18 biggest ones is
1:22 you just like i've got to take control of
1:23 of
1:27 the appointment um they don't
1:29 all work at the same place they don't
1:30 all talk to each other
1:34 um there's no no one person that's in
1:34 charge of them
1:37 so you know i've got to take control of
1:39 all of that
1:41 and you know double check the
1:42 appointments and make sure everything's
1:45 in my diary so that i don't forget
1:47 when when they're all when they're all coming
1:48 coming
1:53 uh the other the other one like
1:56 i'm a pretty private person i don't i
1:57 don't like to share a lot of
1:59 you know what's happening at my home
2:01 life and
2:04 uh different things but i've had to
2:06 share a lot of really
2:09 intimate private details with with a lot
2:11 of different people so now there's a
2:12 whole bunch of people
2:15 out there that know a lot of information
2:17 about me and that kind of makes me feel
2:19 a little bit uncomfortable
2:20 so they they're probably the biggest
2:30 one of the biggest ones is um like that
2:32 they all know my kids names
2:35 you know and and that shows me
2:39 they're not just looking out for me
2:40 they're looking out for my family as well
2:41 well
2:44 uh it makes that makes it easier you
2:45 know when
2:49 physio is asking me to do some exercises
2:51 uh you know they can get the kids
2:52 involved and
2:55 uh you know that that just makes the
2:56 whole thing
2:59 easier and a little bit more more fun
3:00 you know you've got
3:02 um you know the dietitians talking about
3:04 you know the best foods to eat and
3:06 getting the kids
3:08 uh involved and then you know it turns
3:09 into a family event
3:12 which is which is you know that's kind
3:13 of what you want
3:17 i mean they're not just interested in
3:20 uh what my blood pressure is uh what my
3:23 sugar levels are or what's my current
3:24 level of pain or
3:27 or how the wounds healing they're
3:28 interested in
3:32 uh how my family as a whole unit
3:35 is is working together uh
3:38 you know like how are we going as
3:41 a family how are we going um
3:43 not just physically but mentally as well
3:45 how are we coping
3:48 with the whole thing uh and i mean that
3:50 kind of makes you feel
3:52 more than just a number you you know
3:53 they know your family
3:56 they they know the ins and outs so that's
3:56 that's
3:59 um yeah that from that from that side of
