Before
we pray, let's first take a moment to
listen to God's word and then we'll pray together.
together.
In Mark 5, there is a man whose life
looked beyond repair.
He was not just struggling with bad
habits or painful memories.
He was tormented.
He lived among the tombs, cut off from
people, cut off from peace, and cut off
from dignity.
Scripture describes him crying out day
and night, hurting himself and
terrifying everyone around him.
He was alive, but he was not living. And
his soul was chained.
And then Jesus stepped onto the shore.
That detail matters.
Jesus did not wait for the man to get
better before coming near.
Jesus did not require the man to clean
himself up first.
Jesus moved toward the place everyone
else avoided.
And he moved toward the person everyone
else had given up on.
That is how Jesus still loves today.
When people step back, he steps in.
When others label someone as hopeless,
Jesus sees a life worth restoring.
Then something happens that shows the
power of an encounter with Christ.
The people of the town came out and saw
what they never thought they would see.
Mark 5:15 says, "Then they came to Jesus
and saw the one who had been
demon-possessed and had the legion
sitting and clothed and in his right mind."
mind."
And they were afraid.
It says he was in his right mind,
no longer tormented.
One meeting with Jesus changed what
years of chains could not change.
And this is not just a story about
demons, but about restoration.
Because many people may not live in
tombs, but they still feel like they are
surrounded by death inside.
Some feel trapped in cycles they cannot break.
break.
Some feel constantly attacked in their thoughts.
thoughts.
Some are smiling in public but bleeding
in private.
Some are exhausted from fighting battles
no one can see.
But our father is not limited by what
has limited you.
Jesus is not intimidated by what has
intimidated you.
What feels impossible to you is not
impossible to him.
And Mark chapter 5 does not stop there.
It shows another moment where life
seemed finished.
A little girl was dead. The room was
filled with grief, noise, and helplessness.
helplessness.
Yet Jesus walked in with authority that
did not match the atmosphere.
Mark 5:es 41-42 says, "Then he took the
child by the hand and said to her,
Talithumi, which is translated, little
girl, I say to you, arise."
Immediately the girl arose and walked,
for she was 12 years of age, and they
were overcome with great amazement.
The dead responded to the voice of the
giver of life.
This is the heart of what you need to
carry today.
Jesus restores.
He restores minds that have been
battered by fear.
He restores hearts that have been
shattered by betrayal.
He restores families that feel like they
are breaking.
He restores years that feel wasted.
He restores purpose that feels buried.
Maybe you have been asking, "Lord, let
favor find me again." Maybe you have
been quietly pleading, "Lord, prove that
you have not forgotten me." If that is
where you are, do not be ashamed of that
cry. A hungry heart is an honest heart.
But along with your prayer, take hold of
God's word as a foundation.
Because when feelings rise and fall,
truth stays steady.
God spoke through the prophet Joel to a
people who had suffered loss,
devastation, and deep discouragement.
They looked at what was gone and
wondered if they would ever recover.
And then the Lord gave them a promise
that still strengthens weary hearts today.
today.
Joel 2 verses 25- 26 says, "So I will
restore to you the years that the
swarming locust has eaten, the crawling
locust, the consuming locust, and the
chewing locust. my great army which I
sent among you.
You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied
and praise the name of the Lord your God
who has dealt wondrously with you. And
my people shall never be put to shame.
Notice our father does not only restore
small things. He speaks about years and seasons.
seasons.
He speaks about what felt stolen and unreoverable.
unreoverable.
He is able to rebuild what you thought
was permanently ruined.
And yes, sometimes restoration does not
happen in a single night.
Sometimes God heals layer by layer.
Sometimes he strengthens you before he
changes the situation.
But even in the waiting, he is still working.
working.
That is why first Peter 5 10 is so precious.
precious.
It does not deny the pain, but it does
not glorify the pain either.
It shows what God does after the storm
has done its shaking.
1 Peter 5 10 says, "But may the God of
all grace who called us to his eternal
glory by Christ Jesus,
after you have suffered a while,
perfect, establish, strengthen, and
settle you."
Our Father is called the God of all grace.
grace.
Grace for your mistakes,
grace for your healing,
grace for your growth and future.
So if you feel like your life has been
out of control, bring it to Jesus.
If your mind has been noisy, bring it to Jesus.
Jesus.
If your heart has been tired, bring it
to Jesus.
He is still the one who makes a
tormented man sit in peace.
He is still the one who tells what is
lifeless to rise again.
Keep believing and reading his word.
Keep praying even if your voice trembles.
trembles.
Jesus is not only able to restore.
Jesus is willing to restore.
Now let's take a moment to pray together.
King Jesus, you are sovereign and wise.
You are merciful and gracious. You are
loving and kind. You do not change with
my circumstances.
Even when my strength is low, your power
remains full. So today, I thank you for
who you are right now. I am grateful
Lord. I come before your throne with
humility. I come as I am. You already
know what is happening inside me. You
know the thoughts I have not spoken. You
know the fears I try to hide. You know
the places where I feel tired from
carrying too much. And still you welcome me.
me.
Thank you for receiving me with compassion.
compassion.
Have mercy on me, Lord, and teach me how
to trust you more deeply.
I confess that I often depend on logic
and reasoning. I try to figure out every
step before I move. I try to predict
what will happen and I try to protect
myself from disappointment by overthinking.
overthinking.
But all it does is drain my peace.
It steals my rest and makes my heart heavy.
heavy.
So today I lay that burden down.
I ask you to help me release the need to
understand everything before I obey you.
Help me choose faith even when I cannot
see how things will work out.
Your word in Isaiah 55:es 8-9.
8-9.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, declares
the Lord. For as the heavens are higher
than the earth, so are my ways higher
than your ways, and my thoughts than
your thoughts.
Our father, I receive this truth. Your
ways are higher than mine. Your thoughts
go beyond my limited vision.
I only see what is in front of me, but
you see the whole path.
I only see one moment, but you hold the
full story.
You see the past, the present, and what
is coming all at once.
You are never confused.
So, I honor your wisdom today.
Forgive me for the times I questioned
your plan and doubted your timing.
Forgive me for the moments when I looked
at delays and assumed you were ignoring me.
me.
Forgive me when I feared that things
would not work out, when you were
already working on it.
Lord, wash my heart from unbelief.
Heal the places where disappointment has
made me cautious.
Give me a softer heart that trusts you,
Lord Jesus. Teach me how to ignore what
fights against my faith.
Teach me how to recognize doubt before
it settles deep.
When anxious thoughts rise, help me
answer them with truth.
When reasoning tries to sit on the
throne of my heart, remind me that you
are king. Help me trust your word fully
so confusion does not control me. Help
me to take my thoughts captive and bring
them under your authority.
2 Corinthians 10:5 says, "We take every
thought captive to obey Christ."
Lord, I want that kind of discipline in
my mind. I want my inner life to belong
to you.
Holy Spirit, bring understanding into my heart.
heart.
Help me accept that your ways are not
like mine.
You do not operate within the limits of
human thinking.
You do not need perfect conditions to move.
move.
You do not need human approval to bless.
You are almighty.
You are the king of kings. You are
eternal and pure.
So help me stop trying to force you into
my expectations.
Teach me to trust your nature. Teach me
to rest in your character.
I also ask you to remind me that you
often work through what people consider
small or weak.
You lift what the world overlooks.
You strengthen what looks fragile.
You use unexpected paths to bring about
your purpose.
1 Corinthians 1 27 says, "But God chose
what is foolish in the world to shame
the wise.
God chose what is weak in the world to
shame the strong."
Our Father, let this comfort me when I
feel inadequate.
Let this lift me when I feel behind.
Let this steady me when I feel like my
progress is slow.
If you can use the weak, then you can
surely use me.
My limitations are not too much for you,
Lord. Even when things look like they
are falling apart, I believe you can
bring them into place.
Even when the enemy intends harm, I
believe you can turn it for good.
Even when I feel stuck, I believe you
can open a way.
"And we know that for those who love
God, all things work together for good
for those who are called according to
his purpose."
Jesus, I hold on to that promise. I may
not see the whole picture, but I trust
the one who does. I may not understand
the process, but I trust you.
So today I choose to place my trust
where it belongs.
My trust is not in my abilities or money
or people or good luck.
Those things can shift in a moment.
But you remain faithful and wise.
I refuse to lean on my own strength like
it is enough.
Lord, I want to trust you with all my
heart. I want to acknowledge you in all
my ways.
Teach me how to worship instead of worry.
worry.
Teach me how to wait without becoming bitter.
bitter.
When I feel pressure, remind me that I
am not alone.
Lord, I receive your peace. Let it guard
my heart and mind. Let it calm the storm
inside me. Let it settle me when I feel restless.
restless.
And when I do not know what to do, I ask
you for wisdom.
You are not a harsh father who shames me
for asking.
You are generous.
Show me what to do next.
Show me what to release and what to
hold. Give me discernment so I do not
rush into things that are not from you.
Lord, I surrender my life to you again.
I place your plan above my personal ambition.
ambition.
I place your will above my preferences.
I want what you want.
Even when it stretches me,
even when it humbles me or takes longer
than I hoped,
I give you my complete commitment.
Have your way in my thoughts, choices,
relationships, and in my future.
Teach me to say yes to you quickly and sincerely.
sincerely.
Thank you for hearing me, Lord.
In the precious and mighty name of Jesus
Christ, I pray. Amen.
If this prayer has touched your heart,
please type amen as a sign of faith. I
pray that every blessing in this prayer
is now upon you in the name of Jesus.
And if you need a special prayer, feel
free to let us know in the comments. We
would be honored to pray for you. May
the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus
