Hi, it's Angèle for Vogue.
Today we're going to look at what's in my bag.
First things first, a little pouch.
In fact, this is the pouch where I keep
my little jewels and especially my little crystals because
they are my little protection stones.
We have agate, rose quartz, moonstone,
labradorite and crystal quartz.
What I do know about the crystal quartz is that it's really
a generally protective stone.
Rose quartz is the stone of love, of tenderness.
The agate, at least this one, is more for self-confidence.
In fact, when I don't wear them, I still keep them on me
because it's a bit like a charm.
You can believe in them or not.
I believe in them completely.
My star sign is Sagittarius, ascendant Libra.
Then, we have a bucket hat.
This one is from a little store in New York.
I liked it because I like the idea of knits,
but this one is pretty stiff,
so it doesn't relax, it's fine.
It's kind of my favorite bucket hat.
It's unfortunate, but my phone is very important,
because without my phone,
I have no life, like everyone else.
What's on the back of my phone?
These are my 2 best friends in the picture.
There's a little four-leaf clover.
There are rhinestones because I like rhinestones.
Hearts and, of course, Pepette,
the queen of my world, my dog.
I also have pink pralines from Lyon.
I'm just addicted to sugar and I always have
something sweet in my bag.
These little pralines were a gift.
I have a toy. It's not mine, but Pepette's.
Here she is, hello.
I take Pepette everywhere.
Frankly, I was very lucky with this dog
because she is really cool.
She's still a living being, so obviously,
there are a few constraints, but I also think that
these constraints allow me to stay focused.
My dog doesn't care what I do in my life,
or what my schedule is like
or what my obligations are.
She just wants food, and to go out,
to sleep, to cuddle, to play.
I think it allows me, even in times of stress,
to take her out, to get some fresh air,
to be very present.
I think it's good, actually.
It makes me feel good, beyond the fact that she is
the love of my life, obviously.
Next, what do we have?
A pouch with the basics.
I love make-up, but in my daily life,
it's quite rare.
However, I found something really cool,
it's this cream.
In fact, it's a slightly glowy cream.
There's a little bit of a highlighter thing in the cream,
and it's really cool.
It really gives you a crazy complexion.
I mean, crazy is an overstatement.
It gives you a good complexion.
Kombucha glow moisturizer.
A moisturizer with Kombucha for the complexion.
Then, a blush that I really like,
this one, because it's, like, got a little glow.
So I really just put on cream,
some blush, and use an eyebrow pencil.
This one is Anastasia Beverly Hills.
I went with the blond.
An eyebrow gel,
but not tinted, because it's really clear.
Then, on special days, some kind of gloss
that's a little bit matte, or this,
which I've been wearing since I was a kid,
Smith's minted rose lip balm.
Sunglasses and a face mask.
Those 2 things go together.
For me, Covid has done one positive thing in my life,
which is that I can go incognito with the mask.
The glasses are a bit similar because living in Brussels,
you can't say that there is a lot of sun,
but I think that wearing glasses
always adds a little style.
Even when you're tired and your hair is greasy,
I think that a pair of glasses is still like a little bit of a gloss.
I think that I have learned to manage notoriety.
First of all, it goes with the recognition,
the fact of recognizing that what I live,
it is exceptional and that's cool.
I think that I have not always been in good company,
I have not always been surrounded
by benevolent people.
Unfortunately, when you do this job,
you meet a lot of people who are
not really there for the right reasons, who are there to try
to take some of that light.
I can't blame them too much, but on the other hand,
I've parted ways with them.
I still have my tablet. I have everything in here.
There's even a little app on it that I can use to make music.
It follows me everywhere
because it's not very cumbersome
and it allows me to be super independent,
so I don't necessarily need my computer.
Well, for example, I don't have all my music programs
but really, it's mostly easy for texts,
because I have a little keyboard with it.
So I can write lyrics
and work on them.
So, my wallpaper. What is my wallpaper?
My wallpaper is this. This is my favorite painting.
There's a little elbow situation
that normally shouldn't be here.
It always bugs me but I'm a fan of this painting.
I have one last thing for you, though.
I brought you some Dandoy's Speculoos.
I think that everyone should taste it,
it's a great life experience.
I was talking about sugar earlier, but this is a bit of a must for me.
Especially from Brussels, Speculoos.
I think that the bedside book
that has left an impression on me,
at least the first one, is "King Kong Theory"
by Virginie Despentes.
I think it was truly a revelation
in a book that is actually quite short,
to learn so many things and to get a reality check like that.
The book I'm reading at the moment
that I forgot to put in my bag,
is also by Virginie Despentes.
It's her latest: "Cher connard."
If I could exchange my bag with another celebrity,
I think I would swap my bag with Diana's,
because I would have liked to know what her life was like.
Exactly what you can learn
about someone from the objects they carry
or what she has on her all the time?
Thank you, Vogue, I'm Angèle.
I hope you enjoyed knowing what's in my bag.
