Welcome back everyone. Today we're going
to be discussing five new features that
are being added to the Peterson Academy
in the near future, kind of towards the
end of 2025 and rolling into 2026. This
list was announced about about a week
ago. I think it came out the day that I
released my one year of Peterson Academy
video, which kind of sucks. I would have
liked to have covered this in that
video, but to be fair, that video was
long enough. So today we're going to be
talking about the five new features that
the Peterson Academy has announced. They
are rolling out in short order here. So
I'm very excited to talk about these
features today. A lot of them I've been
waiting a long time for. But um but
yeah, if you guys like this video, don't
forget to like, subscribe, share with
your friends to help boost this channel
and the algorithm. And with that all out
of the way, let's get into it. So, the
first feature that we're going to
discuss today that will be added looks
like in the third quarter of 2025, so
hopefully this is coming out soon, is
finally we are getting the mobile app.
I've been waiting for this for a long
time. It was announced that we were
going to get an app. When the academy
first launched and it's been about a
year now, so hopefully it's coming out
in the next couple months. I am really
looking forward to being able to
download my lectures onto my phone. I
have a job where I drive around a lot
and usually I'm listening to audiobooks.
Sometimes I'll go on Chrome, pull up the
Peterson Academy and try to listen to
lectures, but it's very difficult when
you're on the Chrome app. Um, with the
Peterson Academy app and the ability to
download lectures, it's going to be
much, much easier for me to listen to
lectures on the go. So, I'm probably
going to be cranking through courses a
lot quicker, which hopefully means more
reviews for you guys. So, I'm going to
read the little brief description that
the Peterson Academy has here on their
website. Um, the Peterson Academy mobile
app makes learning convenient and
flexible. we've submitted to the app
store and are weeks away from launch.
Whether you're watching lectures,
downloading for offline use, listening
as a podcast, testing your knowledge,
waiting to get notified of engagement,
or engaging with course discussions. The
experience is designed to be immersive
and on the- go. So, yeah, as I said
there, I'm incredibly excited to be able
to download lectures. I know I'm going
to breeze through courses a lot quicker
just having that ability and having an
app that makes it a little bit easier to
do it on my phone. Usually I'm watching
lectures when I'm at home with my
laptop, but when I'm on the go, I'm
usually I find myself sitting around a
lot a lot and uh just wanting to take a
lecture, but I don't have my laptop on
me. And like I said, sometimes going
through the Peterson Academy on your uh
Chrome app can be a little finicky. So,
I'm incredibly excited for this and I'm
looking forward to it. So, the next
feature that we have rolling out in the
fourth quarter and in 2026 is datadriven
personal insights. Now, so this I assume
is going to be much like Jordan
Peterson's personality test, the one
that he's devised and has on his
website. So, I know a lot of people
watching this video have probably
already taken that personality test and
they're wondering like, do I have to
take the whole thing again here on the
Peterson Academy? I'll let you guys know
as that feature comes out if you can
import your results from the uh
understand myself uh assessment that
Jordan Peterson has on his website. If
you have to redo it again, that would
kind of suck. But honestly, I like
answering those questions and I like
seeing how my personality comes out on
the scale. Where am I at in extraversion
and conscientiousness and all that is
always interesting to me. I know I've
posted my results before. I think I
posted them. I maybe I did in a video,
but I know for sure I posted my results
for my personality test on the quad.
This is going to be interesting though,
adding in this dimension of uh
personality assessment to try to better
equip people with the with the tools
that they need to find the jobs that
they want and hopefully to assign people
to jobs that are suited for them. So
that's kind of why they're rolling out
this datadriven person personal
insights. Leverage psychometric
assessments based on decades of research
by Dr. Peterson and his team to reveal
your personality, interests, strengths,
weaknesses, and more. Use scientifically
validated personality insights to drive
self-development, enhance your
understanding of yourself, your friends,
family, if you choose to share your
results, and help increase your chance
of employment. We'll be launching
personality testing first and building
further testing out more and more in
2026. So, I'm very curious of how this
feature is actually going to look as it
rolls out. I I will do videos covering
it as it comes out. I'll review um kind
of the process, but I think it's going
to come out as basically the understand
myself quiz. Like like I said, you might
be able to import your results from the
understand myself uh website, but
possibly you'll have to do it all over
again and get your base personality
assessment from there in 2026. The
further questioning that will help kind
of assess and place people where they're
kind of best suited to be employed. I
don't know exactly how that's going to
work out. I don't know if we're going to
be reaching out to employers or if
employers are going to be reaching out
out to us as students. It's a little bit
up in the air right now. I don't know
exactly how this is going to play out,
but like I said, I will be making videos
reviewing these features as they come
out to kind of help give you guys a
better understanding of what exactly
they're they're planning on doing here
with their personality assessments and
and stuff like that. So, the next
feature I think kind of branches off
from this. It should come out in the
fourth quarter and in 2026 and it is the
career paths f feature. So career paths
helps take your psychometric testing
scores and discover how your personality
strengths and interests align with real
career opportunities. You'll unlock
insights that can guide your career
decisions, add to your CV, and help you
get connected to employers through
Peterson Academy. Companies will
continually be added throughout 2026.
So, it's the last sentence there in the
description that really intrigues me.
I'm so curious to how this feature is
actually going to roll out and uh play
out. But, it seems like they're going to
be adding companies to the Peterson
Academy itself and you're going to be
able to apply to these companies through
the Peterson Academy. Now, now that's
quite cool. And I will say, um I know
there's been talk about are you going to
get a real degree from the Peterson
Academy? Will it be accredited? Uh what
employers going to take it seriously and
stuff like that. I know I covered some
of that in my one-year Peterson Academy
video, but to be completely honest with
you guys, even if I just get a little
certification, a little piece of paper
in the mail that says I completed the
Peterson Academy, that's good enough for
me. For me, an accredited bachelor's
degree isn't the most important thing.
If you offered me an accredited
bachelor's degree or a job opportunity,
I'm going to take the job opportunity.
And looks like with this personality
testing, I'm probably going to find a
job that I like, that I'm actually
interested, that aligns with my
personality and my interests and my
strengths. So, that's awesome. I'm
incredibly excited to see what jobs are
going to be offered. And as I learn that
information, I will, of course, share it
with you guys. And maybe in a year or
two years time, you'll see me applying
to one of these companies and getting a
job through the Peterson Academy. and
I'll cover my journey all along the way
to kind of help give you guys the uh the
stepping stones to follow along with me.
Um if you're interested in getting a
career out of the Peterson Academy, this
is exciting news. I'm I'm incredibly
excited about this and uh yeah, we'll
see how this actually rolls out. But I
also want to hear from you guys. Let me
know down below in the comments how do
you guys think this is going to play
out. Is this going to be better than
traditional universities and how they
typically assign students to jobs and
stuff like that? uh you guys let me know
down below in the comments because I
only have as much information as I'm
sharing with you guys today. I don't
work for the Peterson Academy. I don't
have any insider knowledge. So um this
is as much as I know and we'll see kind
of how these features work as they are
released and as they play out over the
next year. So we have two more features
to cover. The next one is coming out in
the fourth quarter of 2025. So it should
be out before the end of the year. And
I'm incredibly excited for this one.
It's the curriculum planner. So,
Curriculum Builder gives you the power
to visually plan your education across
interests, difficulty levels, and
disciplines. Map your progress from
beginner to expert with branching course
trees that grow as your knowledge does.
And you can kind of see a picture here
kind of at the bottom where you can see
kind of an example here of uh what
classes might be considered beginner,
which ones might be considered
intermediate, which ones might be
advanced, and how do they all play off
of each other? So, I know I talked a
little bit in my one year of Peterson
Academy about the uh course variety. I
think there is a great course variety
right now and uh especially for them
only having about 60 courses. I feel
like a lot of different sciences are
covered, but as I said in my video, the
academy does lean a little bit hard
towards psychology, philosophy, and
history. So, those are going to be kind
of the main subjects I think that people
are going to be mastering or getting
degrees in or getting their
certification in at least. So, it's
going to be very interesting to see how
this uh curriculum planner um plays out
and how you're able to use it. Uh do you
have to complete certain courses to get
your degree? Do you have to just
complete a certain amount of courses?
Maybe you just have to do a 100 courses
uh completed and then you can get your
certification or maybe you have to
complete certain specific courses. Maybe
you have to have a finance course. Maybe
you have to take an economics course.
Maybe there's no option. I don't know
how it's going to play out. Maybe you
have full control. Maybe you don't. Um,
like I said, I'll review that fe feature
as it comes out, but I'm excited that we
have a little bit of a little bit of a
way to plan in which direction we are
going here because uh it was a little
bit chaotic at first. You know, you kind
of take whichever course you want. You
don't know which course is going to
build off of another course, which
course is going to get a part two, which
course is more important than the other
course, like which course is is
necessary to get my degree, which ones
are a little bit more optional, stuff
like that. So, I think the curriculum
planner is going to help clear a lot of
that stuff out and it's going to help
people to better plan um their education
journey. So, curriculum planner um
coming soon. I'm incredibly excited for
that. And the last feature that we'll
talk about today is a pretty simple one,
but I've been waiting for it for a long
time because it makes it a little bit
easier again to plan your education
route and plan which lectures you want
to take in the future. And that's to um
that's just basically a feature where
you can see the upcoming courses. Now,
this should be coming out in the third
quarter of 2025, meaning that it should
be out in the next couple months here
and uh with it, you will be able to
discover just a handful of the upcoming
courses debuting this year with many
more in development. So, we have a
little bit of a sneak peek here. Uh we
can see the next two months worth of
courses. So, on September 3rd, the
corporation with uh Dr. Jarren Brookke
came out. Uh, I haven't taken any of
Brook's courses yet, but I am interested
because finance, economics, this is
stuff that my cousin's more interested
than me, and I need to push myself in
those departments. You know, I'm very
naturally interested in psychology,
philosophy, and history, but I need to
push myself to diversify my knowledge,
right? So, I want to take some of those
courses by uh Dr. Brooke. They look
very, very interesting. So, the
corporation has been added to my
courses. We'll see when I get around to
covering it, but you guys will
definitely know cuz I'll do a review for
it. September 10th, uh, that's tomorrow
by the time of recording this video. But
the psychology of wealth with Dr. Keith
Campbell, another Keith Campbell course.
Very excited about that one. I've
enjoyed every single course that I've
taken with him so far. So, very excited
to take another Keith Campbell course.
On the 17th of September, we will be
getting the philosophy of education with
Dr. Steven Hicks. Again, you guys know
that Hicks is one of my favorite
professors on the academy. He's so
smooth with his words. It's very easy to
listen to him and I find him to be one
of the best philosophy instructors or
teachers I've ever had in my life. So,
um, incredibly excited for that one as
well. Then on September 24th, we have
Nietze, Further Down the Rabbit Hole
with Dr. Jordan Peterson, and I'm very
excited for that one as well. Obviously,
I'm a big fan of Nichze. I really liked
Jordan Peterson's Nichze course. I know
not everyone agrees with uh N or Dr.
Jordan Peterson's analysis of Nichzche.
Some people think that he misreads him.
I find his analysis to be very useful. I
don't use it as the end all beall. I I
like to, you know, go across different
thinkers, what different people think of
of Nichze and what different people have
gotten from him. Um, I kind of pull
everything together and then develop my
own thoughts. So, um, but I do find
Jordan Peterson to be very, very useful
for understanding Nichze. He's helped me
a lot to understand his ideas. So, I'm
excited to go further down the rabbit
hole with that one. A nice little Alice
in Wonderland reference there, too. It's
my favorite favorite animated film of
all time and maybe my favorite fairy
tale ever. So nice to see that Jordan
Peterson shares the same taste. And then
on October 8th, we have an economy
class, the history uh the history and
economics of money with Dr. Year and
Brooke again. Seems like he's going to
be doing a lot of courses on the
academy. I believe he already has three
and then two more scheduled. So we're
going to see him on there quite a bit.
And from what I've seen from the
trailers, he looks to be incredibly
knowledgeable and very interesting. So
I'm excited for all of his courses. I
just haven't gotten around to the
economics courses yet. I've been a
little bit more um centered around the
like I said philosophy, psychology, and
history courses. And then the last
course that we have announced so far is
on October 15th. We will be um getting
logic from Dr. Steven Hicks. So another
Steven Hicks course. The logic course is
a 101 course. You can see that the uh
philosophy of education is a 250 course.
Um the NZEA course is a 304 course. So
So we're starting to see some course
numbers there. We're starting to see,
you know, the different difficulty
levels and it's starting to look a
little bit more like a university now.
So, that's cool to see as well. I I'm
glad that they're starting to kind of
number the courses and do the little
color coding. The philosophy courses are
in purple. The economy courses are looks
like in green. Uh psychology is in blue.
So, that's nice. It helps to keep things
organized, help to know where things
are, which courses are associated to
other courses and stuff like that. So,
very exciting that we have the upcoming
courses feature coming soon here. I I
like to be able to plan which lectures
I'm going to take, which ones I'm going
to do reviews for. Obviously, I make
videos for all the courses I take. So,
it's going to help me out a little bit,
too. So, that's awesome to see. We got
five new features rolling out towards
the end of 2025 and into 2026. I'm
incredibly excited for all of them, and
I will be doing videos reviewing every
single one of these features as they
roll out, giving you guys my thoughts,
reviewing them a little bit, and uh
seeing where the academy goes from
there. It's exciting to watch it grow.
It's exciting to see new features added,
new professors added. Um, all of this
stuff is very, very exciting. It's um,
my journey's been great so far. I shared
that in my one-year video. Uh, I've
absolutely enjoyed it. But yeah, I think
that's all that I wanted to cover today.
I just wanted to share with you guys
this uh, this announcement that they
made about a week ago and talk about
some of these features. And you guys can
let me know down below in the comments
what you guys think of them. Are you a
little bit disappointed? Were you
expecting more? Or are you extremely
happy and excited about these features?
Are you um itching to start using them?
I know I am. I really want to start
downloading lectures. That's something
that I've wanted for a year now. So, I'm
very excited about that. But, let me
know your guys' thoughts down below in
the comments. I love discussing with you
guys. Don't forget to like, subscribe,
share with your friends. It help boost
this channel in the algorithm. Thank you
guys so much for watching as always. It
means the world to me. I'll catch you
