Hi you guys. My name is Marian Chanel
and welcome to my channel. You guys
might hear slight music in the
background. Don't mind it if you do. My
brother and his friends, they have
[music] a band and they're like
practicing right now. Today's video I'm
really excited about because this is
something that [music]
I have struggled with personally in my
walk with God and sometimes I even still
do. The enemy has been trying really,
really hard to attack me. These past
couple weeks, a lot has been happening.
And that's just what happens when you
want to have a [music] relationship with
God and you're working hard to obey him
and to follow his will for your life.
You're just going to go through a lot of
spiritual warfare, [music]
especially mentally. If you have
struggled with depression and like
anxiety and intrusive thoughts in the
past, but instead of going to God in the
past, you went to like drugs or alcohol
or fornication. In this video today, we
are going to be discussing how to
overcome intrusive thoughts. Just know
that we can do all things through Christ
who strengthens us. And don't listen to
the enemy's lies. [music]
The enemy wants you to be in a low
mental state so that you can become
depressed and anxious and worry and have
fear and steer you away from being
joyful and praying to God. My experience
in the past when I would have these
intrusive thoughts, I would not go to
God when I first got saved. I would try
and fight them on my own and it just
made things [music] worse for me. And I
ended up going to other things like I
was talking about a couple minutes ago
[music] instead of going to God himself.
And he's literally the only one who can
genuinely clear your thoughts and keep
you on the right track. When you believe
it with your whole heart and you really
commit to him and you read his word and
he sees that that you're trying to rely
on him in this desperate [music] time of
need, he's going to hold on to you and
he's not going to let go. We have free
will. So if you wanted to do other
stuff, you could. But when you have a
specific will for your life that the
Lord is trying to make you walk in, it's
going to be really hard when you do it
by yourself. [music] It's not going to
be easy. First things first, you need to
make your thoughts obedient to Christ.
In 2 Corinthians 10:5,
it says, "We demolish arguments and
every pretension that sets itself up
against the knowledge of God, and we
take captive every thought and make it
obedient to Christ." So when you hear
these thoughts, the first thing you need
to say is, I take every thought captive
and make it obedient to Christ by the
blood of Yeshua in Jesus mighty name.
Amen. [music] We don't need to just read
the word, but we also need to apply in
our life, especially in times of
persecution from the enemy. We need to
remember these verses and then we need
to speak them over ourselves. We know in
Proverbs, if you don't know, I'll put
the verse down here below. The tongue
has the power of life and death, and
those who love it will eat its fruit. We
can speak [music]
life over ourselves and over others,
too, who might be going through this as
well. So, each time I get intrusive
thoughts, anytime the enemy is trying to
make me think negatively, I rebuke it in
the mighty name of Yeshua. And I say, I
make you obedient to Christ. I take
every thought captive and make it
obedient to Christ. And I rebuke you. I
rebuke that thought by the blood of
Jesus. And I command you to stay away
from me, Satan. Take the authority that
Jesus gave you and speak life over
yourself and cast and rebuke these
demons away from your mind. The more
that you let them have access to you
that way and you just try to fight it
off yourself, they're just going to
increase. You have to speak the word of
God over yourself. and you need to take
it straight up to God. Like I'm getting
to the point where like I'm noticing
that they're not my thoughts and it's
just the enemy. Like it's just demons
and other people's demons who are
speaking to me. I'm starting to get to
the point where I'm like, "Oh my gosh,
like I can't accept these thoughts. I
have to really pay attention like like
genuinely like be alert and of sober
mind." Sometimes these thoughts can give
us anxiety. They can stress us out. I
understand that very well. And that's
what Satan wants to do. Like I said, he
wants to put fear in you. He wants you
to be anxious. He wants you to worry. In
1 Peter 5:7, it says, "Cast all your
anxiety on him because he cares for
you." Again, in prayer, say, "Lord, I
cast my anxiety onto you. I pray that
you replace it with peace. I pray that
you replace it with strength and courage
in your truth, Lord, in the mighty name
of Yeshua." Amen. In John 10:10, it
says, "The thief comes only to steal and
kill and destroy. I have come that
[music] they may have life and have it
to the full. Jesus is telling us that
when you get these thoughts, just know
that that's what Satan's trying to do.
He's trying to steal your joy. He's
trying to steal your purpose. He's
trying to steal your life. He wants to
destroy everything about you. Satan's
such a hater, you guys. The closer I get
to God and the more that I go through
this stuff, I just realize like how much
the Lord saved me from all the lies that
are becoming illuminated because of him.
Satan is such a manipulator. [music]
He's such a liar. He literally he makes
you believe that everything is good and
he'll give you whatever you want and
that he cares about you and your will be
done this, this, and that. It comes with
a price. There's a price to pay for
that. and it's your life for all
eternity. Us who are born again, we know
what Satan's trying to do. It's just the
fact that we're actually trying to do
something about it. And he is threatened
by that. Just think about it. Satan is
threatened by you. He's threatened by me
because we have authority in Jesus
Christ because we're born again and we
have a chance to go to heaven no matter
what we [music] do. Satan hates that. He
hates that we have that chance, but it's
because we're made in the image of God,
and he is not. We're made from an
amazing God. Our purposes is so much
greater than Satan's. [music] Like I
said, Satan's a hater. He's prideful.
He's evil. He's [music] arrogant. He's
just everything bad. Everything bad.
Everything evil. He doesn't care about
you. If you're watching this and you
haven't given your life to Christ yet,
I'm just telling you right now, Satan
hates you very much. You think that
Satan is all good? That couldn't be
furthest from the [music] truth. He is
the father of lies. God literally tells
us that in the Bible in Isaiah 54:17, it
says, "No weapon forged against you will
prevail, and you will refute every
tongue that accuses you. This is the
heritage of the servants of the Lord,
and this is their vindication from me,
declares the Lord." So, the enemy is
going to shoot his shots. He might get
you, but you will not be taken out. You
might get hit, but like it says here, no
weapon forged against you will prevail.
He will take his shots at you. He will
shoot his arrows. He will swing his
sword. He will do whatever he can. But
when you take authority in Jesus and you
speak the blood of Jesus over yourself
and the word of God over yourself and
you continue to live the way that the
Lord is calling you to live and to walk
in the purpose and plan that he has for
your life and to use your spiritual
gifts in this world against the enemy
and for the people of God and the
unbelievers. He will take his shots and
you might stumble a couple times, but
you will never ever be put out
completely. And the Lord is telling us
that like straight up that the enemy
might come at you a couple times,
[music] but when you rely on me, when
you make me your refuge, the enemy can't
do anything against the one and only
true God, the Alpha and Omega. He can't
do nothing nothing against him. He knows
who's boss around here and that is the
one and only God. When we make the one
and only God our strong tower and the
God that will crush all of our enemies
and put them under our feet through the
name of Yeshua, through the blood of
Yeshua, nothing is going to prevail when
it is about destroying our life and our
purpose in life that we do for the Lord.
It won't [music] prevail in Jesus mighty
name. And you need to speak that over
yourself. And you need to hold that in
your heart and be strong and courageous
like the Lord tells us to. Yes, we need
to be pure and we need to have childlike
faith. And we need to keep our hearts
pure, but we also need to be strong and
we also need to have courage to take our
stand against the enemy and against the
evil that works through people who
aren't saved. And the way we do that is
with love and strength and truth.
everything good. But the greatest of
these is love. The greatest of them
through everything that you do is love
for the Lord, love for people, [music]
and love for their eternal salvation.
Another way we can overcome intrusive
thoughts is to pour your heart out to
the Lord. In Psalm 34:18, [music] it
says, "The Lord is close to the
brokenhearted and saves those who are
crushed in spirit." In my experience,
before I fully committed to God, I was
very brokenhearted and I was going
through a lot, especially mental
inflictions. And I prayed to the Lord a
lot, but it was for the wrong things
[music] at first. I mean, they weren't
necessarily all wrong, but the things I
wasn't praying for that I should have
been praying for was pouring my heart
out to the Lord and wanting to have the
Lord dwell in my heart. It can't be for
a selfish reason. He wants a
relationship with you. He wants us to go
to him with an open heart for him to
dwell there because we actually want his
love and we actually want his peace and
we actually want him to to be there. And
it's not that he doesn't want to give
you your desires. He does if it's
according to his will and purpose for
your life. But the most important thing
that he is seeking is a relationship
with you and to know you and for you to
know him and his character and how much
he cares about you because he doesn't
want you to go to hell. You guys, the
Lord just doesn't want you to go to
hell. He's trying to save your life.
He's trying to help you be a better
person and he's trying to help you make
good decisions. He's trying to help you,
trying to guide you, be your God and
your savior and your father and your
mother. But you have to meet it with
your whole heart. You have to want him
with your whole heart. And when you are
brokenhearted, when you're going through
pain, the best time to go to God is
during those moments because he's going
to make sure that you are so much
stronger when you come out of that, when
you were healed from that. But if you go
to other things, if you go to other
people, you go to other gods, you're not
going to be fulfilled in the moment.
Things might seem like they're okay, but
eventually in the future, you're going
to reap the seed that you sowed. Just
like a parent disciplines his child, the
Lord disciplines us. But it's out of
love. And it's because he wants us to be
safe, make good decisions, and he wants
to love us and wants us to love other
people the way that he created us to do.
In Psalm 19:12, it says, "But who can
discern their own errors? Forgive my
hidden faults." As we all know, we're
still sinners. We are new creations in
Christ, but we can still mess up. Okay?
We're not perfect. Now, there are
certain things that we mess up on, and
there are certain things that we don't
even know we mess up on. There are
certain things that we don't know about
ourselves that we could be doing against
the Lord that's sinful. Ask the Lord to
forgive our hidden faults, of things
that we are unaware of. In 2 Chronicles
7:14, it says, "If [music] my people who
are called by my name will humble
themselves and pray and seek my face and
turn from their wicked ways, then I will
hear from heaven and I will forgive
their [music] sin and will heal their
land." Philippians 4 6-7 it says do not
be anxious about anything but in every
situation by prayer and petition with
thanksgiving [music] present your
requests to God and the peace of God
which transcends all understanding will
guard your hearts and your minds in
Christ Jesus. Don't be anxious about
anything. Don't feel any negative
[music] feelings that Satan is trying to
send you, trying to put you in a dark
place, trying to make you fall back more
into [music] sin in every situation,
good or bad. Pray, fast, and give thanks
to the Lord every single time. It
doesn't matter what the situation is.
And the [music] peace of God which
fulfills every understanding, especially
things in our life that we feel like no
one will understand. The Lord
understands you. Okay? He knows. He sees
everything. He knows everything. And he
knows your heart. [music] He knows how
to heal you. He created you. He will
give you peace through all of it.
Through Christ Jesus, who is the prince
of peace. In Jeremiah 29 11-14, it says,
"For I know the plans I have for you,
declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you,
not to harm you. Plans to give you hope
and a future. Then you will call on me
and come and pray to me, and I will
listen to you. You will seek me and find
me when you seek me with all your heart.
I will be found by you, declares the
Lord, and will bring you back from
captivity. The Lord is in control when
you rest in him. He has a plan laid out
for you, ready for you to grab hold of.
All because you sought the Lord and you
did it with your whole heart. You relied
on him in this hard time. You prayed to
him. You fasted to him. You relied on
him. And you made every thought, you
made every negative thing [music] that
the enemy tried to throw at you obedient
to Jesus. And you rest assured to know
that God is in control of your life and
not Satan. He knows the plans he has for
you. And you need to trust that. [music]
No matter how hard things might seem in
your life, keep fighting. It's going to
be worth it. Just know that the closer
you try to get to God, the more you rely
on him, the [music] more spiritual
warfare that you're going to go through.
But you're going to be so much stronger.
Your faith is going to be so much more
stronger. Your love for him and your
[music] intelligence for the word of God
is going to grow and you're going to
prevail. You're still going to go
through a lot of persecution, but you
will have such an amazing relationship
with the [music] Lord and you will know
how to be the man or woman that God
called you to be in this life to [music]
make a true difference to fulfill the
will that he has for your life. Just
like Jesus fulfilled the Lord's will, we
have that same responsibility. One of
the most important ways that we can
overcome our intrusive thoughts from the
enemy is to know that you are a new
creation in Christ. Romans 6 7 it says
because anyone who has died has been set
free from sin. And then if you go down
to verse 12 to13, it says, "Therefore,
do not let sin reign in your mortal body
so that you will obey its evil desires.
Do not offer any part of yourself to sin
as an instrument of wickedness, but
rather offer yourselves to God as those
who have been brought from death to
life, and offer every part of yourself
to him as an instrument of
righteousness." When we repent with our
whole hearts, Jesus forgives us through
God in heaven. And then we are free from
our sin and from eternal death. We are
forgiven. We are a new creation. There
is no condemnation for those who are
born again in Christ. Your sins are
forgiven. And that's why we don't have
to sacrifice animals. It's why we don't
have to do a lot of certain things
because Jesus was the sacrifice. Your
sins are forgiven. Even if you haven't
even repented yet, they are already
forgiven. The Lord is just waiting for
you to give your heart to him. You are
set free from sin. Who the son sets free
is free indeed. You need to know that
and not let the lies of the enemy pull
you back in and make you obey the
evilness of what the enemy is telling
you, making you obey his words and to
listen to what he's saying and accept
them. No, you don't accept the evilness
of who you used to be before because you
were born again. You are a new creation.
You are set free. Don't let the enemy
lie to you. He is a liar. He comes to
steal, kill, and destroy. And he's going
to try everything he can to pull you
back on his side because he wants you to
be dead spiritually and physically. He
doesn't care about you. We are not God.
There's only one God. There is a bunch
of deities who have power but only so
much that the Lord allows them to have.
But they will fall like every other
mortal and every other ruler of the
earth. But true power comes from
obedience to the one and only God. The
one who gave us life, the one who
provides for us, Jehovah Gyra, beginning
and end, alpha and omega. When we rely
on him as our God and we are born again,
we literally hold the spirit of God
within us. We have so much more
authority and power through him against
these false gods, against Satan. We
literally have the spirit of God living
within us when you are saved, when you
are born again. That is so cool and that
is such a honor to be able to have that.
And it's all for the greater good of
humanity. It's all for the greater good
of eternity. It's all for a purpose, a
divine purpose, an eternal purpose that
we get to be part of. But Satan cannot.
He is so threatened by that. And so are
people who have demons who try to attack
your mind, who try to persecute you.
They're all lies from the enemy. But we
just have to continue to fight back with
love. And the more that we fight back
with love and the word of God and we
rely on his power and his strength to
dwell within us and to work with out the
entire world to whoever we encounter
online or in person. As long as we
continue to do that, we will prevail.
Speak these words over yourself during
prayer. Believe it with your whole
entire heart. Ask him to help you love
him more and to fear him more. In James
1:22, it says, "Do not merely listen to
the word and so deceive yourselves. Do
what it says." Clear as day, the Lord is
saying, "Don't just read my words. Don't
just listen to them, but try your best
to obey them. Try your best to use them
in your life. Take these instructions.
Take this word of life, this word of
God. Take it to whole heart. Practice
it. Remember the verses. really meditate
and study on the word and get to know
God in a more deeper way. And he will
reveal things to you. He will bless you
with more knowledge. He will bless you
with more fear of the Lord. He will
bless you with more love for yourself
and for others. And you will always be
strong. You will go through hard times
in your life. But when you just continue
to still seek the Lord and rely on him
and obey him, it's like all that yiness,
all that yuckiness that Satan tried to
tell you, tried to throw into your life
to make you fall back into sin, it's
gone. You won't hear anymore. You're
going to look back and like you're going
to be like, "Damn, like I don't even
know why I was stressed out about all
that. It seems so hard in the moment,
but I feel really good. I feel at
peace." And it's because you relied on
God. You relied on his word. You
believed what it said. He told you that
you are set free when you are forgiven
and to speak these words over yourself.
You believed it and you continued to
seek the Lord despite the persecution
from the enemy because his words are
true. God is not a liar and he loves you
and he wants you to be at peace. He just
wants you to grow. He wants you to grow
strong. He wants you to be smart and
spiritually discerned. It's a long fight
that we have in this human flesh, but
it's worth it. Just like all the
prophets in the past, they gave up their
lives for God. They gave up their lives
for Jesus because they knew that what
was offered to them, what the Lord
promised them was so much more valuable
than what was offered here on earth. God
has already shown you. He has already
shown you how beautiful it is through
the encounters that you had with him.
And if you haven't had encounters with
him yet, I'm telling you, when you seek
the Lord with your entire heart, when
you repent with your entire heart,
asking for forgiveness and changing from
it, when you encounter him, when you
encounter his love and his grace and his
peace, he promises that for all
eternity, it's an experience that I
really want others to feel too because
it changes your heart. And when you feel
that, it literally like convicts you to
want to do better for yourself and do
better for others and to be set apart
from this world, to be separate from
this world, which is what Jesus is
calling us to be anyways. And it's crazy
that our experiences with him makes us
feel that way. And it's because when
we're set free, we are set apart. When
we're set free and we're born again,
we're new creation. We're literally part
of God's kingdom spiritually. We're not
from this world. We're different. And
that's why we go through persecution.
That's why the enemy keeps attacking us
because we have found out our true
potential and our true authority and our
true identity in Jesus. Last but not
least, the most important way to
overcome your intrusive thoughts is to
focus on righteousness. In Proverbs
15:9, it says, "The Lord detests the way
of the wicked, but he loves those who
pursue righteousness." In Colossians 3
2:10 it says, "Set your minds on things
above, not on earthly things. For you
died and your life is now hidden with
Christ in God. With Christ who is your
life appears, then you will also appear [music]
[music]
with him in glory. Put to death.
Therefore, whatever belongs to your
earthly nature, sexual immorality,
impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed,
which is idolatry. Because of these, the
wrath of God is coming. You used to walk
in these ways [music] in the life you
once lived. But now you must also rid
yourself of all such things as these
anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy
language from your lips. Do not lie to
each other since you have taken off your
old self with its practices [music]
and have put on the new self which is
being renewed in knowledge in the image
of its creator. In Philippians 4:8-9 it
says, "Finally, brothers and sisters,
whatever is true, whatever is noble,
whatever is right, whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely, whatever is
admirable, if [music] anything is
excellent or praiseworthy, think about
such things. Whatever you have learned
or received or heard from me or seen in
me, put it into practice and the [music]
God of peace will be with you. No matter
how many times you mess up, as long as
you continue to seek righteousness and
you continue to seek what the Holy
Spirit [music] wants us to seek, things
of the spirit, not things of the flesh,
and we take the lies from the enemy, and
we make them obedient to Christ, and we
move towards purity and righteousness
and peace and everything that the Lord
is trying to teach us, trying [music] to
give to us. The more that we do this,
the more stronger that we're going to
be. Satan will try and throw some in the
future, but we will know exactly what
the enemy is trying to do. And we'll
know exactly what to do first when it
happens. It could happen now early in
your walk with God and you get anxious
and you worry and you have fear and you
feel guilty and remorse. Instead of
having those feelings, you will just
come to terms to know that you know it's
the enemy trying to attack you. You know
it's the enemy trying to throw you back
down to your old patterns. You're going
to take it what the enemy [music] said
and you are just going to automatically
know exactly what to do. You're going to
be so strong and so powerful in the
Lord. That is how you overcome intrusive
thoughts. Consistency is key when it
comes to relationship with God. You have
to seek him every day and seek [music]
righteousness every single day. And
those who seek righteousness, those who
genuinely want to have relationship with
God and genuinely want to change, we're
going to go through a lot of
persecution. We're going to go through a
lot of stuff. But the more that we seek
it, the more that we'll be blessed with
it because we truly want it. What you
guys need to do is pray and ask the Lord
to help you overcome the attacks of the
enemy. And pray and ask him to help you
become more righteous and pure. You will
go through testing and trials, but as
long as you keep seeking the Lord and
his words and applying it to your life,
you will always prevail in the end. You
can overcome anything with the Lord. And
