0:02 Hello everyone. Welcome back to Glitz
0:04 and Glitter. I've got happy mail to go
0:07 through today. You guys blow me away.
0:09 Like I always say, I've got a lot. So,
0:11 if you don't like happy mail, like I
0:12 always say, just fast forward to the
0:15 project. Today, I got some hats from
0:18 Fanny and she didn't realize that I had
0:20 gotten them. And I bought them. So, I
0:22 have plenty of these gorgeous little
0:25 hats. I just used two the other day. So,
0:26 I will go through these. Fanny, don't
0:29 you worry about it. I love them. and
0:30 they are not getting put in anybody's
0:33 order. And then I got the rest of the
0:36 package from Carol from Australia who
0:38 sent me all those pigments. These two
0:40 were on back order from Artist Till
0:42 Death. So these just came in. So Carol,
0:44 thank you. I did not realize you had
0:47 ordered more until she sent me more. So
0:50 this is Mystic Gold and it's a metallic
0:51 paste. This is a paste and this is a
0:55 paste. And this one is called
0:58 uh gold ebony metallic. That sounds
1:00 really pretty. We can't It's like a
1:03 really, really rich, deep brown. So, I'm
1:04 excited to try those. So, thank you,
1:07 Carol, so much. I appreciate you guys.
1:10 You guys are amazing. I also got a box
1:12 from Sandy. Sandy didn't want any
1:14 recognition, but I have to show you what
1:16 she sent me because these are super cool
1:18 and we're going to want to make them.
1:21 So, she sent examples. These are
1:24 examples. This is a obviously butterfly.
1:27 And the mold comes like this. And then
1:29 when you put them together, they are
1:31 three-dimensional butterflies. So, she
1:34 sent me a couple to show me. And then
1:36 she sent me the molds. Let me move some
1:42 And here's the little molds for them.
1:45 So, those are really super cool. So, for
1:48 extras, this is great, Sandy. Thank you.
1:52 She also included some mediumsiz gloves.
1:55 Are they pink for real? Oh my god, pink
1:56 gloves. I've never had pink gloves
1:58 before. That's exciting. I might have to
2:00 wear them just because they're pink. And
2:04 then these are in here. And she saw me
2:07 struggling with one of those boxes that
2:09 the lid was upside down and I said I
2:11 didn't have magnets to fit. These are
2:14 the smallest magnets I've ever seen in
2:16 my entire life. And she says they're
2:18 should be strong enough to hold the lids
2:20 down on the ones that are upside down.
2:22 According to us, according to
2:24 Interresin, they're not upside down. But
2:26 if you want the jewels on the upside,
2:29 then I like to magnet down each side.
2:32 And these are so small. I'm going to
2:33 have to figure out how to I mean, I
2:36 guess I can use tweezers. Um because my
2:38 little fingers are not going to be able
2:40 to do that. So, I will definitely keep
2:42 these for that. And they're going in my
2:44 magnet drawer as I speak so I don't lose
2:47 those tiny little things. Thank you so
2:49 so much, Sandy. I appreciate you
2:50 thinking of me. And I know you didn't
2:53 want me to be mentioned, but I had to
2:57 mention you. And then I got
3:01 some mail in from
3:04 Renee Anderson. She sent me I didn't
3:06 even know Matteo made glitter. She sent
3:09 me this huge container of like a black
3:12 holographic glitter. And then she sent
3:17 me this huge box. 72
3:19 Mica powders. I've never heard of this
3:20 brand before. So, we're going to have to
3:22 try them.
3:24 Now, I have to reorganize my mica powder
3:26 drawer because I literally had not one
3:29 more inch left and now I have 72 more to
3:32 fit in. And I do my mica powders by
3:35 color. So, in my drawers, I have all
3:37 colors together. And they're all upside
3:39 down like this. So, when I'm looking for
3:41 like say I'm looking for pink, I have
3:44 all my pinks and reds together. And then
3:45 all I have to do is look at the bottom
3:47 of the bottle and go for the shade that
3:50 I'm looking for. Oh, look at these cute
3:52 little scoops.
3:55 I like those.
3:56 I got to put them somewhere where I'm
3:59 not going to lose them. I like those for
4:01 little mica powder scoops. So, 72
4:06 colors. Oh my goodness, Renee. Thank
4:08 you. You did not have to do this. Trust
4:11 me. Oh my goodness. Thank you so much,
4:13 Renee. I really appreciate you. Then I
4:17 got a box which was like a surprise and
4:20 Don was like, "Hey, look at this." And
4:21 I'm like, "What is it?" He goes,
4:24 "Reptiles and Resin sent you happy
4:27 mail." I'm like, "Really? What did she
4:30 send me?" So, we love Reptiles and
4:32 Resin. And Don loves her because she'll
4:34 mention the glitz effect every once in a
4:37 while. So, I saw the name Sheila. I'm
4:39 like, "Sheila? Sheila? That looks
4:41 familiar. the way she spells it is
4:42 different than normal. And I'm like,
4:45 that's reptiles and resin. So, she sent
4:47 me a card. Look at this cool card. Maybe
4:50 she makes cards, too. Says, "Dear
4:54 Michelle and Don, so I had a viewer um
4:56 contact me that watches the both of us.
4:58 They said, "You know who would love this
5:02 mold hatching sea turtle box? Miss
5:04 Michelle from Glitz and Glitter. Maybe
5:06 some happy mail." So, I thought, "Yeah,
5:08 that's a great idea." So, I'm sending
5:11 you two of my handmade molds. Hatching
5:13 sea turtles for you and bearded dragon
5:14 mold for Don. We could not leave him
5:16 out. Also, my new the children of the
5:18 corn glitter. Perfect for fall and
5:21 inspired by my 10 grandchildren. 10
5:25 grandchildren. Wow. That we all call our
5:28 children of the corn. I pray you enjoy
5:29 these. God bless you and your family.
5:32 Love, Sheila. Reptiles and resin. PS.
5:35 Never stop being you. We love you both.
5:38 Sheila, you are so awesome. Thank you so
5:41 much. You did not not not have to send
5:45 me this. So, these are this is her. Look
5:47 at this. She even gave me a sticker for
5:48 my bottle cuz she knows I put them in
5:52 jars. So, this is her version of um
5:55 fall. Like I have my cinnamon sticks.
5:56 This is similar except she's got some
5:59 blues and greens in there. So, I guess
6:00 she sells glitter too. I did not know
6:03 that. And then this is the bearded
6:05 dragon mold. She even put holds 4 and 12
6:10 to 5 oz. So that one is for Don. And
6:13 then she sent me this one which is
6:16 hatching turtle mold and it's a jar. So
6:20 lid and base. And she wrote on here 5
6:22 1/2 to 6 ounces. Thank you for writing
6:24 that. I I don't even do that and I
6:26 should but I don't. And then she sent
6:28 some sand. I'm like why is this package
6:31 so heavy? Tybee island sand. So, we have
6:34 some sand in here to add to my
6:36 collection of sands. Sheila, you are too
6:38 much. Thank you guys. If you haven't
6:39 checked out her channel, check it out.
6:42 Reptiles and Resin. She's a hoot. She's
6:44 so funny. I love watching her when I do
6:46 have a chance to watch YouTube. She is
6:48 definitely one of the ones I do watch.
6:49 She's always thinking of new things out
6:52 of the box. Uh that's kind of what I try
6:53 to do. So, that's probably why I like
6:56 her so much. All right, you guys. Thank
6:58 you. One last thank you. Let me clear
7:01 this out. get it in some homes and then
7:04 I'll come back with today's project.
7:08 Today I am doing something new. So, a
7:10 lot of days every day, almost every day
7:13 of the week, I'm getting emails from you
7:15 guys, which are cool because you guys
7:17 get to watch so much more YouTube than I
7:20 do. And you're sending me um inspiration
7:23 and videos to watch to maybe try. And
7:26 several people have reached out to me
7:28 and said, "Can you please try this?"
7:32 because people are now doing blooms with
7:36 tabletop epoxy and I'm like really is is
7:39 it working and it looks like it might
7:43 work. So today I am going to try that
7:46 and see if it works cuz generally I use
7:48 4-hour fast cure. I have the best
7:52 results with that. I heat it to 33 34°
7:56 C, pour it out and do my thing. So, I'm
7:58 really worried about tabletop resin
8:00 because you don't have a lot of time to
8:02 work with it. It doesn't really do great
8:05 in a bubble remover vacuum chamber. Um,
8:07 so we're going to try it and then I'm
8:09 testing out my new mold. So, I'm now
8:12 making these molds. This is just your
8:15 regular coaster mold. It is 5 in though.
8:16 It's a big one. So, you can even turn
8:18 them into trinket trays if you didn't
8:21 want such a large coaster. So, I'm like,
8:23 you know what? I got the perfect mold to
8:26 try it and let's see what happens. So,
8:29 I'm gonna do fall inspired balloon
8:31 coasters today. I'm gonna take the
8:33 chance that it's going to work for me
8:36 and do all four and uh have a nice
8:38 little set going here. Gosh, I hope it
8:41 works. I'm not even sure how much this
8:44 um holds. I'm going to assume
8:46 I'm going to mix up 8 oz of the table
8:50 top. I'm going to split it because I'm
8:51 worried about the bubbles not coming out
8:55 in time. And from what I see, they're
8:57 not waiting for a certain temperature.
8:59 So, they're mixing. I don't know if
9:01 they're taking the bubbles out or not.
9:04 And then they're pouring immediately and
9:06 starting their work because the tabletop
9:08 resin is going to cure way faster than
9:11 the 4-hour fast cure. So, let's get
9:13 started. Let me grab some resin and
9:16 let's see how this works.
9:21 Gliding up the night.
9:24 Painting dreams with a shimmer so bright.
9:26 bright.
9:29 Riding songs dancing, catching every eye.
9:31 eye.
9:34 This is my moment. Going to touch the sky.
9:37 sky.
9:40 Dipped in gold with a stroke of flare.
9:43 Diamond shine in the midnight air. glue
9:52 >> The vacuum chamber did a pretty decent
9:54 job of getting the bubbles out. Now, if
9:55 you have a bubble remover, what one of
9:58 the brand names, I do not know if it's
10:00 going to do it or not. Those are kind of
10:03 iffy. I'm just setting some aside for
10:06 the white. Um, they're not quite as
10:09 strong as a bubble remove or as a vacuum
10:10 chamber, so I'm not sure if it'll work.
10:12 Just out of curiosity, I want to know
10:15 what the temperature is.
10:17 Oops, that's in Fahrenheit cuz we're
10:19 Well, it's pretty close. It's 32. But
10:21 nobody waited.
10:29 a thin coat, like half cuz we're going
10:31 to put a back coat on these. So, I'm not
10:33 sure how much these hold. I have no idea
10:36 who the first person was. I'm guessing
10:39 it was Julie cuz Julie's good at blooms.
10:41 Um, but I don't know. So, I really don't
10:43 know who to give the credit to. I know
10:45 several channels out there have tried
10:47 this. I'm always last because I never
10:48 know what's going on in the world of
10:51 resin. I'm always in my own little like
10:54 bubble here. I try to watch you guys. I
10:57 do, but sometimes I'm editing. Most of
10:59 the time I'm editing to at least 11:00 p.m.
11:01 p.m.
11:04 And and you know, my whole day is full.
11:08 So that's why when I finally sit down
11:10 and turn some of you people on,
11:15 um, I'm tired and I fall asleep and I
11:17 can't watch everybody that I want to
11:18 watch. I'm subscribed to so many
11:22 channels, but that's why I'm saying I
11:24 didn't know this was a thing. If I had
11:25 been watching, I would have seen this
11:28 was a thing. I'm going to hope that
11:31 they're pretty similar.
11:33 I don't know.
11:35 So, that was about
11:38 uh 7 oz split between the four cuz I
11:40 kept an ounce for the white. Now, if I
11:45 had to guess as far as the white goes
11:49 because this is really thick resin,
11:53 I'm guessing we can do a more opaque
11:55 white than we normally do. You know how
11:57 we're so worried about how much white is
11:58 going in our white and it really does.
12:02 It honestly makes a difference. Um, I
12:03 don't know if that's the case with table
12:06 top. Let me just pop the bubbles.
12:07 Actually, I don't need to pop the
12:09 bubbles. Let's get the inks in. Let them
12:11 start working cuz I know we don't have a
12:18 red.
12:20 I have red, orange, and yellow, but I
12:22 know red and yellow are going to make
12:25 orange by itself. So,
12:27 and I'm going to try to make a matching
12:36 Whoops. I'm just going to let them spread
12:38 spread
12:40 however they want and we'll manipulate
12:44 them after the fact.
12:46 Let me just do yellow and see if it's
12:49 going to give me an orange.
13:02 And if I have to add
13:04 orange, I will
13:08 cuz I don't see them
13:10 getting orange. So, let's just add some
13:13 orange. And I think I'm going to back
13:17 them with a brown for fall.
13:19 I might lose a lot of my yellow. I
13:21 always do. It seems to work that way.
13:24 Anytime I use yellow, I'm losing it. So,
13:28 I think I will add more
13:32 more yellow in the centers.
13:35 Push that back out. And
13:36 And
13:40 I'm going to swirl them. Let me just let
13:41 those work while I mess around with the
13:44 white. So, here's the white. I'm going
13:46 to do Let's do it the way I always do
13:49 it. Oops, that's way too much cuz I had
13:51 it on its side. So, I usually do one
13:53 drop at a time and I always end up with
13:56 two. So, let's just get about
14:00 what's equivalent to about two drops.
14:14 But that is not deep enough for me. This
14:15 is the part of the stick you need to
14:17 look at, not this part. So, let me wipe
14:24 So, we know. And I think I'm just going
14:28 to drip a drop in here this time so it's
14:30 not on my stick making it look different.
14:32 different.
14:35 One drop.
14:41 And the reason I like more opaque white
14:43 is because the petals are much more defined.
14:50 It's getting there. I think I'm going to
14:53 do one more drop. I have more or more
14:55 clear than I normally do because I'm doing
14:57 doing
14:59 four coasters and I don't usually do
15:01 four coasters. I'm just going to jump
15:02 all in. I don't even know if this is
15:04 going to work for me. And I'm just going
15:06 to do four. Why not? Why not mess up
15:09 four at a time? Who cares? That looks
15:11 pretty good.
15:15 See how this I'm going to swirl my See,
15:17 they're already pulling towards the
15:20 center. I need to get moving, I think.
15:23 Well, is that deep enough? I think I
15:27 need one more drop quickly.
15:30 One more. Come on. Now's not the time to wait.
15:32 wait.
15:35 Last drop.
15:36 And I'm going to put it in a piping bag
15:40 just because I have better control.
15:42 I'm not going to mess around with cool
15:45 different flowering techniques today because
15:47 because
15:50 I'm in a hurry and I don't want to be
15:51 thinking about that. So, I'm just going
15:54 to go ahead and pipe that. Let me get
15:58 this in the bag over here.
16:00 Going to pipe it normally today. We
16:02 could play around with it later with
16:05 different petal techniques. I have a ton
16:07 on my channel of different petal
16:08 techniques and they all seem to look
16:12 cool. really really beautiful. Let me just
16:14 just
16:38 Yeah, this is uh definitely different than
16:40 than normal.
16:41 normal.
16:44 It's very thick.
16:46 Hopefully these look similar.
16:49 This one's got a lot more red. I'm
16:50 losing a lot of the yellow like I told
16:52 you I would. I'm going to try to keep
16:54 that in. I shouldn't have dropped so
16:56 much red in.
17:01 I really wanted them fallike colors,
17:04 which red I guess is, but
17:05 I'm going to drip a little bit more
17:09 yellow throughout. That's not yellow.
17:11 I'm just going to drip yellow throughout
17:28 Like that.
17:30 Can't really
17:32 put a flame to it to pop those bubbles
17:35 yet because I have a bunch of
17:39 of alcohol sitting on top now. All
17:48 Move some things out of my way. All right.
17:50 All right.
17:53 So, they're saying to Oh, I didn't Hang
17:56 on. I need to get a clip. Totally forgot
17:58 to tie it, so I had to put a clip on it. Um,
18:01 Um,
18:06 they say to go ahead and
18:08 just pipe right away. So, that's what
18:10 I'm going to do. And I'm just going to
18:12 do my normal everyday. Oh, that's kind
18:15 of kind of thick, but it is what it is
18:18 now. And I don't I like thick lines. I
18:20 think they come together
18:25 better, but that's just my opinion.
18:29 And this one is totally off center,
18:42 Just kind of go like that. Then we'll
18:52 Pull any blobs in that we need to.
18:55 Could this be
18:59 a failp proof way
19:02 to do blooms? That is the question. So
19:05 many of you have problems with them.
19:08 This could be your answer. You won't
19:11 have to check temperatures,
19:14 timing, anything like that. I think I'm
19:17 going to stop while I'm ahead.
19:27 um I just kind of I do wipe mine. Some
19:42 I'm just kind of 10 or 12, 6, 3, and
19:45 nine. And then splitting it. And then
19:48 swirling your center. And then I will go
19:51 back through when I'm done. And pop the
19:54 bubbles with a little lighter because I
19:56 don't want to start a fire right now.
19:58 And all that alcohol should be gone by
20:01 the time I'm finished with them all.
20:03 Make sure you're not either one. If
20:05 you're using something sharp, don't
20:07 touch your mold.
20:09 But this is not sharp. So, I am going
20:12 all the way to the bottom.
20:14 And hopefully these come out. That would
20:16 be so cool. I should have just done one,
20:19 but no, I'm just going to do four.
20:22 Why not? It's already starting to bloom.
20:24 I'm just hoping it has enough time to
20:26 bloom fully.
20:28 all the way to the center is what I mean
20:31 by fully.
20:33 I don't put anything in my centers. A
20:35 lot of people put glitters. You could
20:37 put glitters or rocks or stones or
20:40 whatever inclusions you would like.
20:42 Now is the time, but I don't do that. I
20:45 don't It's just my personal opinion.
20:47 Don't like like it that much because
20:50 when I did do it, they were never in the
20:52 center and then I would be upset that
20:54 they ruined the whole piece. So, I just
20:56 stopped doing it all together.
20:58 I'm just going to take this little torch
21:02 flame lighter thingy.
21:04 Hopefully, it's not going through to my
21:09 mold that I literally just finished
21:11 cuz it's pretty thin.
21:14 But I do not want these bubbles here.
21:15 They can hinder your bloom. They can
21:17 make them look lacy. I don't want a lacy bloom.
21:24 It's blooming though. Look at that.
21:27 This could be the answer for all of you
21:33 You I don't think you're going to have
21:35 to guess on the white either. I think
21:38 whatever white you put in there is going
21:40 to be fine
21:42 cuz look at that. It's already That's
21:45 amazing. And we don't have to wait like
21:48 four or 5 hours to back them cuz table
21:50 top resin
21:53 cures very quickly. it sets up good
21:55 enough to pour in just a couple hours.
21:56 You don't want to put your heat mat on
21:58 something like this because you need
22:00 your resin to
22:02 to move as long as possible. You don't
22:05 want it to be curing on you. I keep
22:08 seeing like micro bubbles. So, I'm just
22:09 going to keep heating it up. You can use
22:13 a um heat gun if you want to to do that.
22:16 I'm praying I'm not like going through.
22:18 All right. So,
22:21 I'm going to just squirt the rest of
22:23 this white out. You know what? I'm not
22:24 going to bother with it. It's only
22:26 enough for one. I'm going to go ahead
22:28 and throw it in this mold. I've been
22:30 filling up for all of you for the next
22:32 giveaway. So, I'm trying to fill it
22:34 faster than four or five months this
22:36 time. So, I'll go ahead and put that in
22:38 there. Keep popping bubbles and we'll
22:40 come back for the back coat. [Music]
23:01 [Music]
23:04 You guys, I think whoever came out with
23:06 this the first time has discovered a
23:09 foolproof bloom technique anybody can
23:12 do. That's what I'm going with. These
23:15 bloomed beautiful. I'm shocked that they
23:18 did. I never would have ever tried it.
23:20 See, that goes to show you, you need to
23:22 try things that you don't think are
23:24 going to work because they will work.
23:26 Just like I never wanted to try the
23:28 marbling with glue cuz in my head it
23:30 never worked. And it worked. So, I'm
23:34 saying if you guys have ideas, try them
23:36 because they're probably going to work.
23:38 So, they're cured enough that we can
23:40 back them. And I pulled out this just
23:43 resin chocolate brown. I'm going to do a
23:47 brown pigment paste in the background.
23:50 And then I probably am going to top coat
23:52 them too just to get a little bit of
23:55 sparkle. But we'll get there when we get
23:59 there. I mixed up 6 oz of the uh 4hour
24:01 fast cure just to get these done a
24:07 This is a really shimmery brown. And I
24:09 had another one picked out, but it
24:10 wasn't the perfect shade. And then I
24:12 remembered I had these while I was
24:15 waiting for these to cure. I completely
24:17 redid my mica powder and pigment paste
24:21 drawers to fit in all of those. Now I
24:22 can No, I had to take over another
24:25 drawer, of course. So now I can't fit
24:26 anymore. You guys don't need to send me
24:29 anything at all. Nothing. I have no more
24:31 room. Every time I get a box, I have to
24:33 reconfigure my room. It's crazy. But I
24:36 love them. I do. Thank you for them. Let
24:40 me wipe this off and then restir it. I
24:41 don't think I'm going to run it through
24:43 the vacuum chamber. I'm not too
24:44 concerned about bubbles because you're
24:46 really not going to see anything but
24:49 those edges. And it's going to be poured
24:54 pretty thin. I just want to restir it.
24:57 And then pouring it thin like that. We
25:01 can use um either the lighter uh alcohol
25:04 or a heat gun and pop the bubbles that
25:06 do get in there. I think that looks
25:08 good. Nope, that's still a little
25:15 I think it's going to be beautiful. I
25:16 can't believe how beautiful they bloomed.
25:19 bloomed.
25:22 I just want to fill them all up.
25:24 I don't know how much these hold. I
25:27 should have I don't want to go too high.
25:32 There's not a whole lot of space
25:34 on the back. So, I went more than half
25:38 with the first batch,
25:40 which worked worked good for the depth
25:43 for the bloom. I'm wondering if we can
25:46 go deeper for the bloom cuz generally
25:51 blooms work the best in shallow resin.
25:54 But maybe I don't know. Who knows? I'm
25:56 done questioning if things are going to
25:58 work or not. like I'm done saying
26:04 they're not when they're not been tried.
26:06 So, let's just back these and pull them
26:09 out and see what we have left. I'm I
26:12 think they're going to be gorgeous.
26:16 So, that would have been 8 oz, which it
26:18 took basically all eight, and this is
26:21 another six.
26:23 So, we could do the math at the end and
26:26 see how much each one holds. They're
26:40 So, maybe
26:45 13 oz for the entire mold. All four. I
26:47 haven't made four coasters in like the
26:50 longest time. I don't even remember the
26:54 last time I did four at a time.
26:55 I'm just going to put a little bit more
27:02 This has a pretty nice cut on it. The
27:07 So, I'm not afraid to do. I'm going to
27:10 put a little bit more in this one.
27:12 And now I have some left. What do I got left?
27:20 I have two left. So, it took four.
27:23 So, it took 12 oz.
27:27 Uh, 3 oz each. So, that's a good number
27:29 for a coaster.
27:33 Let me get my lighter here. Um, get that
27:35 off. The heat mat is I turned it off,
27:38 but after they stopped moving after a
27:40 couple of hours, like it's done moving.
27:42 That's when I turned my heat mat on just
27:44 to firm them up pretty quickly so I
27:54 All right, let me find something. I
27:55 can't really move that over. Let me find
27:58 something for the extra and we'll pour
28:00 two more ounces.
28:02 I pulled out the new butterfly molds cuz
28:04 she says they don't hold very much at
28:06 all. In fact, she said this one holds 1
28:08 oz, which is amazing. And it doesn't
28:10 look like it holds just 1 oz. Looks like
28:12 1 oz per side. But we're going to go
28:15 take her word for it. Um, anytime I have
28:19 black, brown, white, whatever, I like to
28:21 change it because I'm not in love with
28:22 those colors, especially for
28:24 butterflies. I pulled out this new
28:26 micica today and it's iridescent gold.
28:28 It's like an interference and this cute
28:31 little spoon. I'm going to add
28:35 interference gold to this m mix
28:37 and see if it will change up the color a
28:43 little bit. I was going to add some gold
28:45 uh glitter kind of like crushed crystal.
28:47 That didn't really do much except
28:50 lighten the brown.
28:52 I'm going to I think I'm still going to
28:55 add the gold
28:57 version. Let me see. What do I have here?
28:59 here?
29:01 The gold version of crush crystal.
29:04 That's this.
29:06 And you basically do the same thing as
29:08 much as crush crystal you would use.
29:09 It's the same thing, just a gold version.
29:12 version.
29:15 That was probably too much,
29:19 but can't take it back now. All right,
29:22 I'm just going to mix that up
29:25 cuz I can't really change brown to a
29:28 beautiful butterfly color. I can only
29:35 and see
29:38 how much it takes.
29:40 And how beautiful it could be in brown.
29:42 I don't know. Oh, this is going to be a
29:44 tough one. This is 4-hour fast cura
29:47 thick resin trying to get into all these
29:50 crevices. I didn't even think of that.
29:53 Oh goodness. This should be fun. Let's
29:58 It's got to get around all of those cutouts.
30:14 I'm going to go ahead and speed this up
30:16 for you cuz this is going to take me
30:19 quite a while. [Music]

31:29 >> It is that time to see how beautiful
31:32 these are going to be. This is the
31:35 extra. So, I just put it in there.
31:36 There's a ton of bubbles in these flowers.
31:38 flowers.
31:41 Yeah, not the prettiest. Super duper
31:43 thin. Great for a magnet, but a lot of
31:46 the petals are gone.
31:50 And let's see this one. I didn't see Oh,
31:51 this is a matte mold. I was going to say
31:53 I can't see my gold through there.
31:57 Hopefully, this took 1 oz per side,
31:59 which makes a little more sense. I was
32:02 like, 1 oz? That's a big mold for 1 oz.
32:06 Look at that brown and the gold. Now,
32:08 putting them together. Oh, good. You are
32:11 going to see that side.
32:14 That's so cute.
32:16 I mean, I would call it a moth because
32:18 it's brown,
32:23 but that is a super cool mold. Maybe you
32:25 can glue it together so it doesn't
32:27 always fall apart. And it will it stand
32:30 up is the question.
32:32 Yeah, kind of stands up. That's super
32:35 cool. Love it. I wish it was a prettier
32:38 color for a butterfly, but the color on
32:42 itself is nice. So, let's just let those
32:44 completely cure before I put them back together.
32:45 together.
32:47 Are you ready to see? These are still
32:51 warm. They should be okay. All right.
32:58 Oh, yes.
33:00 It worked.
33:04 You guys need to try this. If you ever
33:09 had problems with blooming, try it.
33:12 because there was absolutely like no
33:14 effort in this.
33:17 That is amazing. Let's They should all
33:20 be the same. Pretty close to the same.
33:21 What do you think about the brown underneath?
33:23 underneath?
33:26 I like it. It's like Thanksgivingish.
33:30 And the yellow came through.
33:33 That looks amazing. Who would have ever
33:36 ever ever guessed?
33:40 That one is so cool.
33:42 And it bloomed all the way to the
33:45 center. So each petal pulled in.
33:47 Sometimes you have problems in the
33:50 center because it stops working before
33:53 it's done blooming. And this one pulled
33:56 everything to the center. That is amazing.
34:02 One more.
34:05 couple little blobs, but I'm wondering
34:07 if it's because it was because it was
34:10 thin and I did such thick lines. But I
34:12 could care less about those. These look amazing.
34:15 amazing.
34:17 I don't even know if I want to top coat
34:21 them. Should we uh
34:24 put some sparkle in that or not?
34:28 Maybe some gold if I did anything.
34:30 Oh, barely have anything to trim. These
34:34 came out beautiful. Wow.
34:36 Wow.
34:38 Little bit of sanding here with the nail
34:42 file, but that's pretty much it. Let me
34:44 get these off and move this out of the way.
34:51 So, the question is,
35:01 And if you top coat, then you use the
35:05 tabletop resin. But
35:07 because I want it even thicker than the
35:09 table top resin, I think what I'm going
35:11 to do first of all
35:19 couple little places need to be sanded
35:22 down, but not much at all. Literally, that
35:24 that
35:27 was it for that one.
35:31 That came out amazing.
35:38 right here.
35:41 And if you do sand, make sure you clean
35:46 your coasters before you top coat.
35:48 Wash them. You can even wash them with
35:51 soapy water and then alcohol or just alcohol.
35:52 alcohol.
35:57 Just couple tiny tiny tiny little spots. [Music]
35:59 [Music]
36:10 [Music]
36:18 one spot there,
36:21 and that's it. All right.
36:23 I think I'm going to use my CCDIY
36:27 because I don't want to take the time to
36:29 back them in tape.
36:32 So, I'm going to use my thickest resin.
36:35 Not going to back them in tape. I'm not
36:37 even going to put them up on a jar.
36:40 Gosh, I hope this works otherwise
36:42 because they're not completely cured.
36:44 Although, they're not bendy either.
36:47 They have to be level. The reason I
36:49 would put them on a jar is if it dripped
36:51 over the edge, then it would drip onto
36:53 the table and not under the back of your coaster.
36:55 coaster.
36:58 These came out amazing. I'm shocked. I
37:01 am so shocked. All right, let me clean
37:05 these. Grab some resin. And I think I
37:08 will use that same golden. Excuse my
37:12 arm. The same golden. Since these are
37:14 brown and red and yellows, I'm not going
37:17 to use the silver crush crystal. I'll
37:19 use the golden crush crystal. So, let me
37:21 get that mixed up and then we'll go
37:26 ahead and top coat. I mixed up 80 ml of
37:30 my CCDI
37:32 that I use for tumblers. Put the crushed
37:34 gold in there, I guess you could call
37:37 it. Probably way too much. I'm not going
37:38 to pull the bubbles out because when you
37:41 top coat like this, you could torch them
37:44 all out no problem.
37:46 I don't know.
37:49 I'm really really hoping
37:50 there's a couple little tiny
37:53 microbubbles on the edge. And I'm hoping
37:55 this is a thick enough resin that it
37:58 won't find its way down there. If it
38:00 does, I'm going to have to think quick
38:02 on my feet.
38:03 Save it somehow so it doesn't go over
38:06 the edge.
38:08 But this stuff will start like setting
38:11 up in about 15 minutes where it won't
38:13 move anymore. It'll get really really
38:15 thick, which is what I want for this
38:17 particular thing because I'm not putting
38:21 any tape around the back of it to save
38:23 the piece. So, I just want to see how
38:25 much I'm going to need
38:28 before I go distribute
38:31 distributing it onto each one. And I'm hoping
38:33 hoping
38:35 it doesn't go in those teeny tiny little
38:38 bubbles. I thought about putting gold
38:41 marker around the edge, but I thought
38:43 about it too late
38:45 because I would have wanted it to dry
38:47 good enough and I was already stirring
38:49 the mixture and because I don't have a
38:51 ton of time to work with this one, I
38:53 didn't do it. So, you could take your
38:57 normal torch. Oh, shoot.
38:59 Okay, no problem. As long as it didn't
39:06 pop those bubbles. And it should come
39:08 out gorgeous.
39:10 Just like that. Look at that sparkle in
39:11 there. So, I'm going to go ahead and
39:14 puddle them all.
39:18 Hopefully not pour too much on.
39:20 Do a little bit at a time. I think I put
39:23 too much on this one, but
39:25 I didn't really check to see how much I
39:28 used. I'm at
39:31 50. So, this is 30. Probably have some extra.
39:33 extra.
39:36 Wasn't sure. These are 5 in coasters,
39:39 so I wasn't sure exactly how much to
39:43 make cuz usually I do 4in coasters.
39:46 But if you pulled these out like
39:49 before they completely cured, you can
39:51 actually mold them into a little like
39:54 bowl, a little tiny trinket bowl. That's
39:56 what I meant to say earlier. Not trinket
39:59 tray. doesn't have any sides for a tray,
40:01 but you can make it into a little bowl
40:04 cuz it's probably big enough to do that.
40:14 and pop all these bubbles so we could
40:16 see that beautiful flower shining through.
40:22 Usually, you have to torch about two or
40:25 three times and then you're done.
40:27 There'll be no more. So, I'm going to go
40:30 ahead and do these two and then let them
40:31 cure. And I'm going to figure out
40:33 something to make that butterfly a
40:35 little bit more pretty. [Music]

41:30 They are cured and they came out
41:34 gorgeous. See the sparkle in them. These
41:36 are beautiful. I hope you guys try them
41:39 and when you do, put them on the
41:41 Facebook group so everybody knows how
41:44 easy it is to use the table top resin
41:47 for your blooms.
41:50 Oh my gosh, I'm so excited about that.
41:53 No more waiting. No more nothing. No
41:54 more worrying about I don't think we
41:56 have to worry about the white how deep
41:59 it is. Here is the extras just in case.
42:02 I did end up finishing it. Put some gold
42:05 on there, some rhinestones, and a
42:08 magnet. I threw the rest of the table
42:09 top in this mold. This is one of the
42:13 into resin um flowers.
42:15 So, that is that one. This one like
42:17 flash cured cuz it was the table top and
42:20 you don't ever pour it this thick and it
42:23 was like instantaneous cured, but it
42:24 still looks pretty good, which is
42:26 amazing. And then for the butterfly,
42:28 there was a lot of holes, a lot of
42:31 bubbles. I didn't go crazy because it's
42:33 brown. I put a bunch of gold on it just
42:35 to highlight it, but I didn't want to. I
42:37 could have taken hours to bling this up,
42:39 but I wasn't going to do that. Not for a
42:41 brown butterfly, and then all these
42:43 holes would have had to been fixed. So,
42:44 I didn't do it. I did a little bit to
42:46 it, but I didn't want to spend a ton of
42:48 time on that one. But if it was
42:50 different colors, maybe I should have
42:52 picked a different mold, but I really
42:54 wanted to try the butterflies. So, thank
42:56 you so much for the happy mail. Hope you
42:58 guys learned something. Hope you try it.
43:01 These are really, really good. So, I
43:03 will get you guys some photos and I will
43:05 see you back here tomorrow and we will
43:07 finish that last into resin mold for the
43:09 month. Have a blessed day, everybody. Bye.
