Core Theme
The message emphasizes that Jesus' birth in Bethlehem, symbolized by the manger, was a preordained sign of his sacrificial death and subsequent resurrection, which offers righteousness to believers and signifies a new covenant that transcends the old sacrificial system.
let me first say this the the most of
the flock which was uh raised here was
actually for
Jerusalem it was meant to be sacrificial
animals isn't that interesting that they
did that
here and so there's many reasons we just
heard from Gus
that uh one of the reasons to tell it to
Shepherd is to spread the news because
they go everywhere and they will tell
everyone but it was also really good
news for them because it I can you
imagine that's frustrating pastors If
You Raise A Flock and you need to
sacrifice them every year you need to uh
get rid of them that's not like it's
great to be a Shepherd but if you always have
have
to give away your flock to be slaughtered
slaughtered
so that's what's going to stop that
system you understand it it would stop
the whole sacrificial system you could
say the whole old Covenant the whole old
way so you the temple was almost like a
Butchery and every Ministry on the law
actually functions as a
Butchery people get
sacrificed sheep get shaved why they
didn't even get a chance to grow wool
and that should not be
so in that sense it was also good news
for the for the Shepherds and um the
other thing I want to mention before we
look at the Bible uh now you see roads
but in the time of uh Jesus there were
also just
paths around hills and mountains and
actually when we speak of the path of
righteousness it's actually those paths
so that's where Shepherds would take
sheep and it would slowly go higher on
also around a hill or around a mountain
now isn't that funny because the Bible
says the path of the righteous shines
brighter and brighter from glory to
glory and that's what also happens in
our life that God makes us walks path
which go higher and higher and you might
come in the same season of your life but
what happens when you hire you have a
different perspective you have a
different View and that's what's
happening with us now now we go to the a
little bit of scripture which I want to
share last but it's so incredibly cool
it's so cool okay it's actually the Angels
Angels
speaking um when we read
Luke 2 it says while they were there the
time came for the baby to be born and
she gave birth to her
firstborn a son she wrapped him in
clothes and placed him in the manger
because there was no guest room
available for them now then it goes to
the Shepherds and then we we read then
the Angels start to speak to the to the
Shepherds listen to this do not be
afraid I bring you good news that will
cause great joy for all
people today in the town of David a
savior has been born to you he's the
Messiah the Lord this will be a sign to
you this will be a sign to you it's not
just a miracle this will be a sign to
you you will find a baby wrapped in
clothes and lying in the
manger and then suddenly a great company
of heavenly host appeared with the angel
praising God saying glory to God in the
highest heaven and on Earth peace to
those on whom his favor
rests this will be a sign to you you
will find a baby wrapped in clothes
lying in the manger what's the sign
because it's not just the Great thing
it's not just a miracle it's again a
sign the theme of the last day when we
go to Bethlehem is actually born to
die Jesus was born to die and the sign
was that they saw a baby wrapped in
clothes lying in a Manger now A Manger
in the Christian church often is like a
basket or a wooden thing or something
from from with hay and straw and but
actually it's a piece of stone it's a
piece of
rock which is worked there's a hole made
Rock and there's a body lying in it
wrapped in
clothes now think back where did we
where were we yesterday
morning Tomb at the Garden
tomb so what was the sign as Jesus was
born and he was lying in a piece of rock
where a hole was made in it was already
a picture from also how it would
is when he left the
grave which was also a piece of stone
with a hole in it he left the clothes
linen and that is so cool because linen
stands for
righteousness so Jesus was born to
die and after his resurrection his linen
us that's why the Bible says his
righteousness so but at his birth you
could already see all so how it would
end for him on Earth Jesus was born to
die and it happened and his resurrection
is proof of our
righteousness how amazing is
that is Jesus
resurrected yes that means if you
believe in him you're
righteous it there's nothing to do with
your behavior anymore his resurrection
is the proof of your
righteousness and he left even his linen
behind for you as a mantle you know that
Adam and Eve end up thinking we're naked
and God slaughtered an animal for them
to be dressed there was also already a
picture pointed to what Jesus would end
up doing leaving his mantle his cloth
his skin behind for us that we will be
clothed with his
righteousness and be okay again with God
that's why it is we come to prounce you
good news and it's good news for all men
men
wow how great is our
God from a little place in
Bethlehem good news starting with
fishermen God is so good and it reached
us because look at you here you are you
standing in Bethlehem
the sign was such a big sign that it end
up going over the whole world it went
for all people and here you
are our God is good amen and he loves us
he loves
us now one last thing for you to take
home who has seen things going wrong in
who has seen things going wrong in the
honest now it's also the city of
David and I once wanted to study David's
life so I went in my Bible I went to the
first book of Samuel and I go to David
God says no stop go to the start of the
book of Samuel go to 1 Samuel 1 so I go
to 1 Samuel 1 and it's Hannah crying in
the Tabernacle and Eli's thinking what
is that woman doing here he's drunk or I
think I said no I want to study
David the Lord says yeah but that starts
there the story of David being a king
after God's heart reigning in life it
starts with
Hannah now what does Hannah mean the name
name
Hannah it means
Grace So Hannah can actually be unfruitful
wow
Hannah couldn't get children so Hannah
started un fruitful then she's in the
temple and Eli says God is answering
your prayers and what happens Hannah
becomes fruitful she give birth to a son
Grace becomes fruitful what happens when
Grace becomes fruitful is David
born no Samuel gets born
and what is Samuel is Samuel King now he's
he's
priest but is Samuel born as a perfect
Priest No he grows up in the sight of
Eli and his corrupted
Sons that's what makes Samuel a good
priest are you hearing
me so for Ministry to grow up healthy it
doesn't start to reign as a king it
actually starts with priesthood and
actually the priesthood has it eyes on
not and then Samuel is a good priest and
David he anoints
Saul only after Saul he anoints David
and is David immediately King when he's
anointed no what happens with David
David grows up with the eyes on Saul how
not to
to so where we have stuff in our lives
and even in our churches that we think
man that is so wrong but we shouldn't
fear that by the grace of God actually
there's great
lessons as we can be grateful to the
Jewish people what they whatever they
messed up with God we're the
beneficiaries because the Bible writes
their mistakes are for your
lessons so when Grace becomes fruitful
in our lives and even in our church not
everything goes perfect straight away
but we never give up we learn also from
the how not to and yes those who receive
abundance of grace and the gift of
righteousness they will reign in life
yes that's what I thought 20 years ago
I'm the king of the world I finally have
the right message and I'm done now 20
years later I realized oh man I was nowhere
nowhere
it took me a couple of decades and I
didn't start as a king first start God
started to grow my priesthood and you
know what I found out that I have the
same Tendencies as Eli and his corrupt
sons and then I learned of David I
thought I want to be David I want to be
the man after God's heart I want to be
the the good guy and then I realized but
I also have a soul on my inside I also
have that fleshly King in me so we're
not pointing out to the ones who make
the mistakes we realize that could be us
and we all keep on receiving an
abundance of Grace and then healthy
Ministry grows and we'll end up reigning
as kings and then we'll do it right
because we also learned how not to amen
and those are precious lessons in our
lives and in our churches because of the
grace of God we shouldn't fear or look
away that what went wrong or that what's
not good just keep on receiving Grace
Grace
amen now the last thing is in confession
from what something which went wrong in
my life and God is correcting me here in
the nation last time already but but now
again it gets stronger uh when I heard
about the one new man Jew and Gentile
that that actually God's
dream uh I started Father's
house and uh father's house is is my
Ministry is called father's house and
God preserved even the name I have
father's house.com which is an absolute
Miracle but the dream of the Father in
Heaven is to have both Jew and both
Gentile in the house you know if you're
a dad you're sitting at the table you
can choose which child do I have at my
table what would you say all both but me
as a Dutch Gentile thought oh I'm that
half and you know what I didn't see what
I found out here but there's other
there's another group group of people
which are actually precious and which
deserve a key role and it's not given to
them and it's the Arab Believers in
Israel I came here as a duy thinking I'm
the other half of the one new man but
who is living close to the
Jews who's the first one to be able to
form that one new man practically
serving together praying together doing
it together and the Arab Believers in
the land are are are actually the
Messianic body is not really recognized
or really held by the Christian world
but immediately the next ones are the
Arab Believers which deserve and need our
our
prayers because then the father's house
works and then when Jewish believer and
Arab believer cooperate for Imagine for
the region here when Jewish believer and
Arab believer
cooperate when they embrace one another
and so what what our role from outside
is really to honor Israel no salvation
comes from the Jew but the first thing
is not take the place of the Arab
believer but also support them pray for
them and that was one of the reasons I
wanted to pay the lunch the lunch here
it's not only because I love you
actually you come second it's because I
want to bless
Arab company as well we want to bless
the Arab believer as well because they
absolutely have their role and they're
on the great pressure Bethlehem was a
was still now a very predominantly
Christian village and it decreased from
how much percent to 20 about 20% about
70% it's from from 70%
Christians 90 90% to 20% is only still
Christian Arabs in Bethlehem why why
does the devil put them under pressure
because I believe God has a major role
for them in forming that one new man
they're here all year we come once a
lucky so my last thing was but maybe uh
Lou wanted to do that to pray pray for
the nation but also pray for the Arab
Believers and uh honor honor them honor
them through through gas I don't think
basam came with us but no but we have G here
here yes
