0:05 hello everyone in this video I will show
0:08 you how you can get your Wi-Fi password
0:10 using command prompt in Windows first we
0:13 need to open animated command prompt by
0:16 simply clicking on start or Windows key
0:18 on your keyboard and then type CMD and
0:22 then right click on command prompt run
0:25 as administrator click yes
0:29 and then we need to type the following
0:33 command
0:34 Nach WLAN show profile
0:37 this will show all your Wi-Fi profiles
0:41 that currently is stored on your system
0:43 press Enter so these are all the Wi-Fi
0:46 names currently saved on this computer
0:50 let's say we want to get the password
0:52 for the frontier 2 5 to 8 so we need to
0:56 type the following command netsh WLAN
0:58 show profile name equals the name of
1:02 your Wi-Fi and then key equal clear
1:05 press enter so here we can see the name
1:08 of the Wi-Fi your service set identifier
1:12 name and here you can see your password
1:16 now let's say I want to get the password
1:18 for another Wi-Fi so I type this to see
1:21 the profile names again let's say this
1:25 time I want to get the password for the
1:27 Wi-Fi name called iPhone so just simply
1:30 type the following with the name iPhone
1:33 and then enter I enabled my personal
1:37 hotspot on my phone and I called it
1:40 iPhone I did connect and let's see the
1:42 password so this is the name of their
1:47 society name the name of the Wi-Fi and
1:50 this was the password now let's say if
1:54 we tried any of these commands and we
1:56 get any error message we want to make
1:58 sure the WLAN autoconfig services is
2:01 running if it's not running we can just
2:03 simply go to the services console so
2:06 from command prompt we can just type
2:07 services dot MSC and then enter you
2:11 should open services console
2:13 want to scroll down and look for WLAN
2:17 autoconfig we want to make sure the
2:19 status it's in running mode if it is not
2:22 running we can just simply double click
2:24 or right click properties and then
2:27 making sure the startup type it's
2:30 automatic and then click start also we
2:34 can go to the dependencies tab and we
2:37 want to make sure all the dependencies
2:39 service is also running for example
2:42 remote procedure call or Windows
2:44 connection manager let's click OK and
2:48 the remote procedure call we can go to
2:50 the hard section its alphabetic order by
2:53 name here so remote procedure call and
2:57 it's running as well so again we want to
2:59 make sure the WLAN autoconfig is running
3:02 then we should be able to run these
3:04 commands now if you are using Mac we can
3:08 use the terminal window to get them our
3:10 Wi-Fi password so first we want to open
3:13 the spotlight by pressing command space
3:17 and then we can type terminal to open
3:19 the terminal window and at the command
3:22 prompt we can simply type the following
3:25 command security find generic password
3:29 waa and here should be your Wi-Fi name
3:33 then we need to type the username and
3:39 your password and then we can press
3:45 ENTER and if you are using Linux you
3:49 need to open the shell prompt you can
3:52 simply press ctrl alt T keyboard
3:55 shortcut and then it should open the
3:57 shell prompt then you need to type the
3:59 following command to see all your
4:01 network names and then you can press
4:07 ENTER and then you need to type the
4:10 following command here you are typing
4:14 the network name and then enter you
4:17 should be able to see your Wi-Fi
4:21 password on Linux also we can use the
4:24 following steps if you are using Ubuntu
4:32 so first we want to open the terminal
4:35 and we want to type the following
4:36 command and then press Enter
4:41 this command will change your current
4:43 directory location to this new location
4:46 which contains all your Wi-Fi profiles
4:49 then we need to type LS space minus a
4:53 and here you can see all the names of
4:58 your Wi-Fi that currently is stored on
5:00 your system then you need to type the
5:02 following command and of course this
5:04 Wi-Fi SSID name is the name of the Wi-Fi
5:08 you saw on the previous steps so when
5:11 you type LS space minus a you can see
5:14 all the Wi-Fi names then you can type
5:17 sudo space c-h space and one of the
5:21 Wi-Fi name you want to get the password
5:23 for then on your terminal window you
5:26 will see the following output you need
5:29 to look for this PSK equals and this
5:34 should be your password for that Wi-Fi
5:37 you entered on step 3 this is also
5:40 another way to find Wi-Fi password on
5:43 your Ubuntu system thank you so much for
