not see the same in our days look around
you the division among Believers is
evident disputes for recognition
jealousy disguised as spiritual zeal
conflicts in which arguments over
Doctrine become weapons to wound and not
to heal Watchman nay warns us this is a
spiritual abnormality we were not called
to live like this trapped in cycles of
immaturity the cross offers us a
different path but the question we must
face is this are we willing to die to
ourselves the true battle begins when we
recognize that we are not just Sinners
who sin but carnal beings living as if
we had not yet died with Christ as
painful as it is to admit this is the
truth you see many of us even after
professing faith in Christ still operate
from our own strength thoughts and
emotions the Holy Spirit may be trying
to lead us to maturity but we resist
because the flesh Keeps Us captive the
first step my brothers is to look within
not with the eyes of someone trying to
justify their mistakes but with the
willingness of someone who kneels before
God and cries out show me Lord Who I

to justify our sins by saying it's just
the way I am or I can't change this in
fact is the flesh speaking trying to
convince us that transformation is
impossible however Christ calls us to

us making us believe that we are fine
while we are deeply rooted in the ego
this ego resists the cross because it
knows that the cross means death KNE
challenges us to see that there is no
other path to Victory the flesh cannot
be disciplined reformed or educated it
must die as Paul wrote
those who belong to Christ Jesus have
crucified the flesh along with its
passions and desires Galatians
5:24 but this crucifixion is not a
theoretical idea or merely a declaration
made at the moment of our conversion it
is a daily practice a continuous
commitment to die to self this death
however is painful it requires us to
renounce everything that gives us
security outside of Christ imagine the
the psychological impact of abandoning
the control we think we have over our
lives the flesh screams resisting
surrender it argues rationalizes
thrashes about because it knows it is
being led to its end have you ever felt
this that moment when you know God is
asking for something that seems
impossible to give up this is where many
give up preferring a life of comfortable
carnality to facing the process of sanctification

but my brothers and sisters there is no
real comfort in the flesh no matter how
much it promises pleasure recognition or
security all it offers is empty and
temporary true freedom is found in the
cross it is paradoxical I know but it is
in death that we find life it is in the
abandonment of self that we find the
fullness of Christ Watchman NE says the
flesh must die this is God's way and
there is no other

practice the path begins with submission
to the Holy Spirit it is not about human
effort to change but about total
surrender to God stop fighting the flesh

receive everything that Christ

our excuses our justifications and our

pulling us from the comfort of our
carnal habits to the freedom of life in
the spirit but the question remains are
you willing are you truly prepared to
let God destroy the old in you so that

us that the spirit is not just a help to
resist the flesh but the transformative
force that replaces its rule in US

brothers where is our faith do we not
trust that he who began a good work in
us will be faithful to complete it

this is the battle that occurs in the
Silence of our hearts imagine the fixed
gaze of Christ upon you as he extends
his hand calling you to leave the Flesh
and enter the spirit it's a gaze of love
yes but also of urgency he knows the
price you are paying by remaining
divided by struggling with your own
strength by trying to reform what can
only be crucified he calls you not for
your condemnation but for your liberation

he calls you because he knows you were
created for something much greater allow

cycles of failure superficial repentance
and the constant Sensation that
something is missing because in fact
something is missing the Abundant Life
that only the spirit can bring but now
look with me at the Glorious contrast
where the flesh brings weight the spirit
brings light
where the flesh sews conflicts the
spirit brings peace where the flesh
enslaves us the spirit frees us this is
the call that NE presents to us with
such urgency to enter the life of the
spirit a life not marked by human effort
but by total dependence on God this
dependence is not passive it is not
about waiting for God to do everything
while we remain inert it is an active
Cooper operation but a cooperation that
begins with
surrender have you ever tried to carry a
weight that was simply too great for you
maybe you struggled with all your
strength only to realize you were
exhausted and the weight was still there
now imagine that someone stronger offers
to carry that weight for you all you
need to do is let go sounds simple
doesn't it but in practice how we resist
letting go and yet this is exactly what
God is asking of us let go stop
struggling with the flesh stop trying to
reform or control it instead turn to
Christ victory over the flesh does not
come from greater efforts but from
deeper surrender that is why Paul could
say when I am weak then I am strong 2 Corinthians

1210 the strength of the spirit is only
fully manifested in us when we stop
relying on our own strength let's be
practical for a moment how then to live
by the spirit in daily life Watchman KN
emphasizes that it is a matter of
indwelling and Direction the Holy Spirit
already dwells in us he is not far away
waiting for us to be worthy enough to
draw near he is in US ready to guide us

of trust we need to trust that God is

the Cross because he knows that on the
other side there is
resurrection and if the spirit of him
who raised Jesus from the dead is living
in you he who raised Christ from the
dead will also give life to your mortal
bodies because of his Spirit who lives
in you Romans
811 there is an urgency in all of this
we can no longer be content with a
superficial Christian Life marked by
highs and lows by periods of carnality
interspersed with moments of
spirituality we were not called for this
we were called for a life of Victory a
life in which the spirit governs every
thought word and action if you feel that
you are stuck in the flesh that you
cannot move forward know this there is
hope God does not give up on you he
calls you today at this exact moment to
surrender to him more deeply than ever
before he calls you to the Cross yes but
also to the resurrection he calls you to
abandon everything that is old and
embrace everything that is new Watchman
NE wrote The Flesh cannot inherit the
kingdom of God but the spirit can
completely transform the one who
surrenders to the
Cross there is no other way but this is
the best way it is a way of life of
Peace of Freedom so what will you choose
remain in the flesh with its empty
promises and constant slavery or
surrender to the spirit allowing him to
transform every area of your life the
decision is before you may you say today

I who live but Christ lives in me and
may the spirit guide you step by step

without challenges but a journey in
which each challenge is overcome because
it is no longer us who live but Christ

are not talking here about an existence
marked only by morality or good manners
but a life that transcends human nature
a life that is not just lived in the
flesh but by the spirit now the Lord is
the spirit and where the spirit of the

3:17 this freedom is what was promised
to us but it cannot be lived as long as
we are clinging to the old life while we
remain captive to the works of the flesh
what would it be like if we finally let
go of these chains what would it be like
to live completely free without the
shadow of selfishness guilt or fear fear
this is what Christ has called us to I
want to extend an invitation now not
with soft words but with the intensity
that this message demands God is calling
you to a deeper level of communion with
him not just a life of superficial
obedience but a life of total Union
where every thought every desire every
action is governed by the spirit if you
feel that something is missing that
there is a distance between you this
Abundant Life stop now and consider what
is still governing your heart what areas
have you not yet surrendered to the
control of the spirit perhaps it's a sin
you can't let go of or a hurt you've
been holding on to for years maybe it's
the fear of fully trusting in God
whatever it is remember that the cross

just to forgive your sins but to
completely set you free so if the sun

neutral the spirit is speaking now
asking you to surrender completely what

can handle the Flesh on your own do you
still think you can balance your carnal
life with a facade of
spirituality this balance is an illusion
as Watchman KNE warns us the flesh is
insatiable it does not except being
partially crucified it's all or nothing
either you surrender it completely to
death or it will continue to rule let's
get down to the everyday life because it

unfolds many of you face concrete
problems the struggle against anger the
difficulty in forgiving disordered
desires overwhelming anxiety fear of the
future it's easy to think that these
things are just part of life but they
don't have to be these are the fruits of
the Flesh and they can be uprooted when
we surrender to the spirit imagine for
example the struggle against Pride how
many times have you found yourself
trying to defend your reputation
insisting you were right even when you
knew you should ask for forgiveness that
is the flesh acting fighting to preserve
its dominance but the spirit offers
something different
he calls us to Humble ourselves to let
Pride die when we obey we feel a freedom
that the flesh could never provide it is
not easy but it is glorious or think
about anxiety how many nights have you
spent awake trying to find solutions to
problems that are beyond your control
the flesh Keeps Us in this cycle of
worry but the spirit invites us to rest
do not be anxious about anything instead
in everything by prayer and supplication
with Thanksgiving let your requests be
made known to God Philippians
4:6 when we obey this call the peace of
God which transcends all understanding
guards us the flesh locks Us in cycles
of stress the spirit leads us to True
rest these examples show that life in
the spirit is not just a theological
concept it is a practical experience
that transforms our way of living but
this transformation only happens when we
are willing to yield to let God guide us
even when it challenges our logic our
comfort our preferences and here is

transformation is not just for you God
wants to use your life as a testimony to
the world we live in an era where people
are desperate for authenticity they do
not just want to hear words they want to
see transformed lives the world is
watching they know when we are merely
pretending but when they see a life
truly governed by the spirit it impacts
them in a way that words never could

peace and power of the spirit this is
not something you can fake it is only
possible when you completely surrender
to God and allow him to do his work in
you this is the final Destiny of
everyone who chooses to follow the way
of the cross it is not just about
overcoming the flesh it is about living
in such intimate communion with Christ
that his life becomes ours it is not
just about avoiding sin it is about
partaking in the Holiness of God I in
them and you in me that they may be made
perfect in one and that the world may
know that you have sent me and have
loved them as you have loved me John

achieve it is a gift we receive when we
finally let go of everything that holds
us back it is the result of a
surrendered life a life in which the
spirit has total freedom to operate it
is what allows us to experience the
fullness of joy the depth of love and
the beauty of Holiness but this fullness
requires a response from us we cannot
remain as we are we can no longer accept
a life of spiritual mediocrity the call

willing to let the flesh die so that the
spirit can live fully in you are you
willing to step out of the cycle of
defeat and into the victory that Christ
has already won if your answer is yes
