Hi, my name is McKenna Oliver and this
is my self analysis video. Um, with the
first world view is God. Um I decided to
go with monotheism
thems um an infinite personal god exists
both beyond and in the world. Um, I
picked that for like a lot of different
reasons. Like it resonated with me the
most just because of um like how I grew
up and like
I know like God created the world, he's
in the world and a lot of the other
definition is like just contradicting
that and also like saying he's he made
the world but he's not in the world or
he's in the world but he didn't make the
world. So that just doesn't align with
me and my beliefs because
um I was raised by black Christian woman
Christian woman like religion wise. So I
feel like um like but as I've learned on
my own like that's just something I've
learned from having my own walk with
like God
and like I the only reason that I have
this like justification is that I felt
the Holy Ghost and my personal
experience like before showing me
everything in the Bible is relevant with
current day and age.
um also
showing that he's everywhere at once
like my justifications are really
because I never question anything like
why do we follow the certain rules but like
like
in my opinion
it's like we are shown this so we it's
like we follow it because we're like
shown it like it it becomes like factual
which all kind of like plays out with
like
like he's omniscent. So it's like or
omniresent. He's omniresent like he's
everywhere at once. So it's like that's
why he's a infinite personal God. He
exists both beyond in the world because
he can be everywhere at once,
right? Um and
and
like the certain things we do as Christians
Christians also
also
follow into like why this is my answer.
So like that's more my social like my
socialism people I'm around. I grew up
in a Christian household and like the
church that I'm still um a part of right now
now
like it's very influential because
they're an older group. So they have a
lot of impact on me and like in my
day-to-day life and like how I proceed
on with like my walk with Christ.
For the next world view claim um is knowledge
knowledge
and I define my knowledge. claim is I
know what I know from experience. I
believe I can trust my senses like my
life lessons is what I picked out of the
other words because
um like what you're being taught. I also
believe like our intuition and
perceptions go hand in hand. I don't
think they're like they don't have to be
two different things. your perception.
Like you wouldn't have intuition without
your perception and you wouldn't have
any perceptions without intuition
because they would just you just walk in
life without thinking about anything
like you would just not notice anything.
You notice things because of your
perceptions which cause intuitions and
cause the thinking that it cost like you
have intuitions from the things that you
see and the things that you experienced.
So, it's more of your lessons. It's more
of your what you go through dayto day.
And the
um justifications I have for that or no,
my biases that I have for that is
personal because I feel like my social group
group
cultural group would agree with that
claim because
I resonated with because I was
rebellious but I never got caught. So a
lot of stuff I did was like I know my
mom wouldn't have approved but I still
did it.
So I learned stuff that like I wouldn't
have learned if I just follow her every
rule if I stay like I know everything I
know from going out and getting my own
knowledge from the world. And being in
college also has shaped that for me because
because
I have free will and it's like I'm not a
nobody. I can do whatever I want when I
want. So it's I'm more capable of
getting my own knowledge and my own
perceptions and getting better intuition
because I don't think everybody has
intuition. Intuition is what you make it
what you get from your perceptions. If
you don't have any perception then your
intuition won't be as strong. You won't
have nothing to
back it up.
For the next world view, truth, the
definition that resonated with me the
most is pragmatism.
Truth is that which works. If something
works, then it must be true. Therefore,
it has to be factual. For something to
be true, it has to be factual. Because
words are just words with no action or no
no
proven fact. If you cannot
explain it and have a
truthful outcome, then like if there's
no fact behind it, it cannot be a true claim.
claim.
Like the argument claim cannot be true.
Therefore, like it cancelled out um
um
from my biases. I would say like
personal because reading the other truth
like definitions I felt like that maybe
my social values would have fit would
have fit
for the next world view claim um is knowledge
knowledge
and I define my knowledge claim is I
know what I know from experience. I
believe I can trans my senses like my
life lessons is what I picked out of the
other words because
um like what you're being taught. I also
believe like our intuition and
perceptions go hand in hand. I don't
think they're like they don't have to be
two different things. Your perception
like you wouldn't have intuition without
your perception. And you wouldn't have
any perceptions without intuitions
because they would just you just walk in
life without thinking about anything
like you would just not notice anything.
You notice things because of your
perceptions which cause intuitions and
cause the thinking that cost like you
have intuitions from the things that you
see and the things that you experienced.
So it's more of your lessons. It's more
of your what you go through dayto day
and the
um justifications I have for that or no
my biases that I have for that is
personal because I feel like my social
group or cultural group would agree with
that claim because
I resonated with because I was
rebellious. is, but I never got caught.
So, a lot of stuff I did was like I know
my mom wouldn't have approved, but I
still did it.
So, I learned stuff that like I wouldn't
have learned if I just follow her every
rule if I stay like I know everything I
know from going out and getting my own
knowledge from the world. And being in
college also has shaped that for me because
because
I have free will and it's like I'm not a
nobody. I can do whatever I want when I
want. So it's I'm more capable of
getting my own knowledge and my own
perceptions and getting better intuition
because I don't think everybody has
intuition. Intuition is what you make it
what you get from your perceptions. If
you don't have any perception, then your
intuition won't be as strong. You won't
have nothing to
back it up. Also, I had to do a lot of
um lateral thinking, like asking a lot
of questions, trying to figure out why
how people can think, how they think or
what makes them feel, how they feel
about certain things
and like what can help them change the
most of it. They don't want to change
because of their experiences and
perceptions. And
for the next world view, um my world
view is humanity. And the definition
that re resonated with me the most was material/spiritual.
material/spiritual.
Um, humanity includes both material and
immaterial elements, which goes back to
um the other worldviews, really all of
them about how I feel about um spiritual
immaterial, not being able to like not
one without the other so I can balance.
My next three world views
or my next two world views kind of like
fall into the same category, but I still
define them differently.
Um, my ethics, the two definitions that
I picked was reflective equilibrium
and natural law. Um, I know like
most people would think I would pick
divine command, but God doesn't control
like doesn't control people life and he
only does like if you allow him to be
there. So
any party like nothing bad is going to
happen because like
like
God like you're not
like you're not controlled by God
like he's not like you have option in
everything you do you have free will
everything you do he's not forceful upon
any decision make you have but if you
believe in God and have a better
Christian walk. Then you will more see
God because you're more open
to him. You have you have option
with everything. So natural law is the
best because everybody
everybody
is their own person.
Everybody has their own opinions of
everything, their own mindset of
everything, their own looks of
everything. So nothing can control that
but themselves because of our intuitions
and perceptions which goes into the
other world views.
And also following up the next world
view is evil. Um
Um
evil is simply making a good world
choice. um we are initially neutral
or good not evil. Um
I don't think good people do bad things
or vice versa like but it comes from
everyone has a reason for everything and
again everybody
is not perfect everybody makes mistakes.
Everybody has flaws. So, I feel like
good and evil isn't a thing that happens
to somebody or something that you make
yourself out of. Um,
like if you make a choice to make bad decisions,
decisions,
that's different. But like
like
we are initially neutral and good. We
start off like that. The decisions that
we make later on is what perceive us to
become the notion as wealth. Like
basically what happens essentially what
happens when we get older and how we
live our life upon that because
because
everyone has a different response. You
also shouldn't respond to evil but you
won't be able to avoid evil in your life
because evil is everywhere.
Like there's always going to be
something trying to stand out and pull
you a different way. But
depending on your morals and how you see
your world views depends on how you
respond to it or how you should quote
unquote be responding to it. Okay.
And for my last um review, it's beauty.
Um, I put beauty is in the eye of the
beholder because you cannot justify
something is ugly or
or beautiful or cute or whatever the
case because art is art. And so calling
something ugly or beautiful is just an
opinion based on the person.
It is not something that's factual,
doesn't have a fact because everybody
has a different perspective of things.
Everybody has different um
um
a different eye. So, it's in the eye of
the beholder because not everybody sees
things as the same. And that's personal,
