the most popular and these came up over
and over again so it'll be really
interesting to hear and I'll start with
the biggest one which was what is the
meaning of life
so I think this question everybody
personally has to answer for
himself what I think is not going to
happen is that you will sit at home
meditate or do whatever type of practice
and suddenly a sense of Life comes
flying or pops up and you are going to
grab it in any type of way this is not
going to
happen what I think this question
relates to is instead of waiting for
something to come that you think is
purposeful to live
for I rather prefer and would say that
you find your place in this world and at
the same time give your sense a
life yeah give your life a sense I mean
fill up your daily your daily hours that
you have available fill them up with
something that you think this is worth
living for this is worth waking up for
so in that sense what's the the sense of
life it can be from all of us 8 billion
people everybody can have a separate
one so I do not believe that there is
like one answer where you would say to
have a family is the sense of life for
some people definitely in the moment
where they have newborn child when they
start to grow in the family this is
sometimes their purpose and they feel
fulfillment for other people maybe it
could be to build up a successful
business this can be something that is
the main motivation the main driver to
keep somebody going and uh having this
feeling to I like to wake up and spend
these hours that I have in front of me
to do something so give your life a
sense I would say this would uh bring it
straight to the
point uh the next one which we you know
we spoke about a lot last time we spoke
about the word fear
um but how do you overcome fear
fear good
good
so before I answer this question how to
overcome fear I maybe have to just say
what type of
structure what type of guideline I
sometimes start to let's say share with
people how to approach something that
either gives you a positive emotion or
that gives you a negative emotion
regardless we are dealing right now with
that state so either it is something
which is maybe uplifting but at the same
time it can also be something which in
terms of fear is more or less closing
something inside of
you and I think in one of these tedex
talks I mentioned it already that there
is the method which is quite easy to
remember which is called rain yeah r a i
n so the r is standing for
recognize whatever emotional state comes
up happiness sadness fear depression
jealousy rain number R
recognize recognize first of all what
type of feeling is it that's coming up
that is the number
R the a is standing for acknowledge or accept
accept
what it means
is if you are afraid if there is fear if
there is jealousy if there is anger if
there is something and you realize it
about yourself number one is you accept
it you say yes okay at this moment I
feel really
angry yeah I feel really sad I feel the
fear which is coming up so that
acknowledgement meaning you you try to
stop yourself from from trying to
separate it because you can only adjust
something if it is a part of
you that is a very important idea also
in the martial arts only if I have a
connection with you I can change
something about you only if I have a
connection to my emotion to my state
only then I can change it this is why
that word a that acknowledgement or that
acceptance is something which is like really
really
important then the number or the the I
is standing for
investigation investigation means you
recognized it you accepted it and now
you investigate investigate can mean you
ask the questions a detective would ask
you why why is it coming up
because of what did it come up what did it
it
trigger could it be that there is
something in the past that now led to
the fact that it's coming up inside of
you so it's all this type of questions
investigation investigation about that
field of emotion that uh came up there
and the last one now the N is normally
standing in Buddhist terms for non-identification
so non-identification
means this is now probably a little bit
difficult to put in words but I try
still you
thinking you know if you think something
you are able to recognize
it that means the thinking takes
part in
something no no I make it different if
we go to the cinema let's talk like this
if we go to the
cinema and you watch a action movie then
you can see on the screen you have on
the screen the action
images sometimes you go to the cinema
but on the screen you have a horror
movie so on the screen are running different
different
images but all the images are only
possible to be
seen because the background of the
action movie and of the horror movie is the
the
screen if you take the screen away it
doesn't matter what image you are
projecting there is nothing that's able
to project
it so that
screen is the same like in the Chinese
or in the Asian ways we sometimes say
the clouds they are like the
thoughts but the thoughts they can only
appear or the clouds can only appear
because the underlying big is the
sky so there are the clouds within the
sky there are the images of the movie on the
the
screen and there are the emotions that
come up on behalf of your perception
that is ex
existing so that means what you have
what we all have is we are able to
perceive and some people based on
something that is triggering them
sometimes they
perceive the anger coming up they
perceive the sadness is coming up so
these emotional states they can be
perceived if they can be perceived then
it means means they are not
you because you are the one who sees
them and non-identification means that
you can witness for yourself that these
things are like clouds that sometimes
pop up in the sky and just like every
cloud ever on this
Earth neither of these clouds ever State
it's only some times a sequence an
episode within your
lifetime and this idea of
nonidentification is something that is
relating into this
direction yeah meaning that you
understand that you that you see why
this fear came up with what it is
related to and ultimately also see that
it the um that links on to the next
question perfectly this is more of a um
in the immediate but it's the same thing
people want to know how to stop
overthinking how do they stop
things the easy answer would right now
be learn how to
meditate okay but to really bring it
is
either something inside of the mind is
fluctuating all the time there is too
much input available and it's jumping
from one to another so in a way there is
that type of restlessness of the mind
it's continuously jumping which means
it's too much so you're thinking about
too many different things this is one
type of overthinking
overthinking can also mean you only have
one thing that you that is like keeping you
you
busy but you are turning it over and
over again and never come to any type of
conclusion it's also a type of
overthinking related to let's say one
subject so these are now simplified the
two uh problematic States problematic if
you don't have the ability to switch it
off if you want to switch it off yeah if
you have the ability to regulate this
about yourself so when you want to be
focused you can be focused when you want
to dream you can dream if you want to
make your brainstorming you can open up
for brainstorming if this is the range
of adjustment you have about yourself
then it's not a problem a problem is if
you need to stay focus
focused but then you're
shattered these are the moments when it
makes sense to learn methods how to
avoid that or how to really focus when
you need Focus
Focus
now I wouldn't say that the right
approach would be uh to state
that focus is the only right way no we
have focus in this life which means
there is something there's a limited
type of view you're putting yourself in
because this limited type of view
is it's like it's the collection of
awareness it's the collection the
summary of intention into a specific
spot that you want right now to make it
grow faster or to develop faster that's
why we need Focus that all the energy is
bundled into that one Focus
point so you want to push something
forward you need
Focus but how amongst all this variety
of options that we humans sometimes have
how do you know on what should I focus
should I focus on the social media
should I focus on my family should I
focus on that number business number one
or should I focus on business number two
should I focus on wife number one or
wife number
two yeah there's so many different
options and therefore what you need is
overview sometimes about your
life overview the white view the white
angle is different than Focus the focus
is I only watch
you I'm focused but the more I get into
that limited view the more I will forget
about she's sitting there there's your
brother there are uh your friends so
what needs to be learned and is able to
be developed is you have both sometimes
at the same time I know who is sitting
where but at the same time I'll also
know in which direction I'm pointing my
words to so that means on the one side
there is something open at this moment
in time but at the same time also you
have something
focused and to have and learn the
ability to access this let's say with
your mind to train your mind that he is
always like in this category because
it's like you're driving the
car of course it matters what what
you're doing in regards to the steering
so it's like the direct focused
interaction yeah but only in interplay
with all the other drivers on the street
so what is now more important to focus
on the others or to focus on your
driving both of it at the same
time only this focus and the openness at
the same time this is what means yin and
separated but in order to get
there sometimes it's necessary to individually
individually
separately practice okay this now is a focused
focused
State and this one right now is a open
State yeah to be very clear and be able
to distinguish for yourself okay this is
the focus it feels like this this is the
open it feels like that and now comes
the the the magic about it how to
combine both into a same into the same
time yes and this is something everybody
will need to figure out this is when the
magic happens and you are stopping from
the separation of either that or that
into it's both of it at the same
time yeah and now in regards to this
overthinking so what is it that people for
for
example are able to
practice there I can suggest for example
you are choosing one object which can be
in a lot of
cases an object that we call that is
your meditation object it can be the
breath for
example so instead of um following up
what comes into your mind which means if
you have too many thoughts we we turn it
around you are deciding what you are
going to put onto your mind mind for the
next 5
minutes whatever it is whatever you
choose this is your so-called meditation
object so it means I am telling myself
okay for the next 5 minutes I am going
to only place my attention my mind on
the breath so I feel how the breath
enters into my body and I also feel how
it is coming out of my body this is when
you use the breast for example
yeah other people if they find it too
hard still you can use this type of
movement so what is your uh meditation
object is now let's say the movement
it's the movement itself the up movement
there so this is a way of what we call
mindful you are mind mind full of what you
you
do your mind is full of something yeah
full of what full of what you have put into
into
it that's why then you call it mindful
practice I know exactly where I put my
slow yeah it doesn't really matter what
type of movement it is it is only as
long as I do it I know what I do so I
don't leave let's say these movements
right now to um to
coincidence no you learn for 2 minutes 3
minutes to take something in full
responsibility and awareness of what you
are able to concentrate
on and this is a so-called
uh we sometimes also call them mind
exercising or mind mind development
practices because it's not about the
movement itself to just do this movement
it's not going to bring you too much
benefit let's say
physically right now not yet but this is
yeah this slow movement and all of that
that is there for you to first of all
learn to focus the mind learn to focus
the mind this number
one and afterwards after you realize
okay actually right now I can feel that
in the moment where I start to have
conversations with people you know when
you are present or
not yeah you are starting to feel that
okay now my awareness is not is not with
you it's
gone know and and then you feel what is
the difference between between now I'm
mindful now I'm not
this ability to
distinguish is therefore so
essential because if there is something
that we humans can do about our
life then it can only be done while you are
are
mindful if you don't know you have a
it and that's it so the whole point of
why is there so much this emphasis on
mindfulness yeah why should I know what
I do because if you don't know what you
coincidence and that's not what it's
supposed to be it is supposed to be what
you put onto your mind what you want to
see yourself the way how you want to see
yourself what you want to achieve in
possible but only
only
if with
the with the allowance of what has been
given into your own hands if you also
use this
chance and like I said in our
first uh in the first time that we were
meeting I strongly think and believe
that we all have something that comes
from us that we have in our
hands and if that potential that we have
in our hands is merged with our
awareness and with our action and then
at the same time also is combined with
the will of God or the will of the
Destiny or destiny
itself then it's going to
happen but if you put something onto the
mind which is not in harmony with the
will of the nature with the will of God
with the destiny you can try as much as
you want it's not going to
happen so what is this discovery once again
again
about discover your place in this
hugeness and
submit but submit doesn't mean it's
um it's incredible that something like this
this
exists this is the submission submission
it's not in terms of
um you give up
no it's not you give up life no you
finally allow the fullness of life to
flow through
you this is called
submission so you can always understand
these wordings in different ways but the
one I'm talking about right now is allow
you you can express it in terms of what
happens happens for a
reason yeah if something happens and
this is why it's so important that
acknowledgment because acknowledgement
is the first step of
understanding all of what we go through
example everybody every human in this
world I think is going
to different stages of challenges let's
call them like
this these challenges can be for example
let's just take one loss losing
something there was a time when we all
were still small child and when somebody
took something away from
you maybe some of us were already crying
because already very young you felt what
losing means to to lose something that
actually you like no then teenager 10
years later somebody took again
something away from you same feeling
feeling
nowadays somebody takes something away
that you strongly feel like it belongs
to you the same feeling comes up so what
I'm saying
is throughout all the decades the
feeling of loss it's always the
same the situations the circumstances
they change why that feeling comes up
but the point is it's the
same the feeling of loss is the feeling of
of
loss if you're angry about your car gets
scratched or you're angry about you lost
something or you're angry about somebody
took something of you the angriness is
also the same if you're jealous you're
jealous there are not 50 different type of
of
jealousy there are 50 different reasons
why you become jealous but the jealousy
is the same the angriness is the same
the loss is the same the hate is the
same the joy is the same the happiness
it's the
same and so what I think is going what I
think is
happening is that each human being is
confronted with
loss and now the question is how are you
individually dealing with that now and
as long as you have not found a solution
to deal with
loss losing is going to be part of the
challenges you will face over and over
and over
again once you have managed and found
the solution in regards to
loss there will be things coming up that
make you angry because the next
challenge is overcome
angriness small things make you angry
big things make you angry it's always
the same angriness until you found a
solution no the anger cannot manage me
it must be the other way
around anger solved then comes the next
one question of life and death of
fear until you have solved the answer
for yourself how to deal with fear
fear
and why I'm now pretty convinced to
State the things like
this is because there is so much
similarity to the way and the reasons
why we have this type of
hardening methods coming from The
Shaolin Kung Fu training hardening
meaning like you saw also before from
shiuan when he was hitting himself we
have many tools inside that
use to get in touch with pain
pain
we necessarily take into consideration
that this is going to happen we know
when you start touching that when you
start doing these methods the pain is
going to
come we want it to
come why because now you can go in
now you can really go in and on the go
in the present moment that is the
special part about it in the present
moment you figure out the way how to release
it and there is that
saying when you have went over when you
have overcome a certain level of pain
overcome means it's never going to come again
again
it's finished you walk through that
level of pain one time the next pain you
will feel is a different one it's not
the same
anymore so there is a difference between
something shows up in your lifetime and
you are ignoring it you are uh avoiding
it you're trying to run away from it and
you face
it you face face the anger you face the
fear you face the jealousy you face the
pain you face what you don't like you
face the fact that you out of your
comfort zone why because you know that
once you have overcome it and find a
solution for it it's solved for this
yourself life there's that nice thing
yeah life is not going to get
easier it's just that your mind and your
body become more
resistant more strong same situation
more relaxed
why because you finally start to find a
solution that that is within your reach
within your hands
hands
and I think the great part for me
personally why I'm still after so many
years like this approach about the
physical practice combined with the
spiritual mental development like in the
Shaolin Temple is because there are many institutions
institutions
many philosophies that talk about
overcome the suffering ending the
suffering but end the suffering but
overcome the suffering that gives now
for me
perspective overcome the suffering means
it's going to be there you're going to
lose your mother you're going to lose
your father you're going to lose animals
and humans that you love it's going to
happen you got lose money and at the
same time people are also going to hurt
you even though you don't even know what
you did wrong things like this are going
lifetime to wait for better times to
come where the world will be completely
in peace and you can walk peacefully
over the street never having the fear
that somebody's going to come and do
happen because the world is just the way
is but knowing
this preparing
yourself learning the right ways or
useful ways that are developing yourself
physically and mentally to be able to
walk through this lifetime that's
possible that is something that is
available to us it's just you need to
get rid of those fantasies
fantasies
um that better times are going to
come if we don't create the better times
nothing's going to happen
happen
so one thing we get a lot of comments
about is ego um It's You Know spoken
about very negatively um and a lot of
people are asking how do they overcome
there ego I'm just wondering what your
opinion is on it and you yeah what you
have to say about
it the way how I understand ego and if I
words it's for me very close related to
identification if there's nothing you
are identifying yourself
with I think it's difficult that somehow
ego starts to arise from it so ego and
self identification or any type of
identification uh are closely
related so now I take me as an
example let's just imagine I take off this
this
rope I put on my nicest jogging suit or
not nice doesn't matter and in that
training suit I do the the average type
of talks okay I let my hair grow a
little bit
longer the point is nobody would even
listen people initially start to listen
more carefully if I come like this if I
wear a rope and if I'm fulfilling some
type of image that people have about
what they either call a master or a monk
or whatever it
is so wearing these ropes wearing this
accessories here having this type of
haircut having a certain vocabulary that
I'm talking in this is for me also the
pure expression of ego it's the pure
expression of something that is like
that I'm identifying myself
in now the thing
is what do you want to do the whole day
long if you have nothing that you are
identifying yourself with
then it's like you love and
air there's no identification you're
completely free and open you have no
form yeah identification
means something has started to shape a
form and for me once again we are living
in the world based off form and formlessness
we have form and formlessness we have
things you can grasp and see with the
eyes and we have things they are
invisible to the
eye both of these aspects exists in this
type of world in that existence that we
are in right
now so for me it's not
about getting rid of the
ego for me there are two points to watch
in that process of
identification in the choice that you
have done for yourself as what you would
like to express yourself identify
ego now I have decided I want to become
a Shaolin Master I dress as a Shaolin
Master my daily life is filled with
stuff that sh
is normally uh known for from morning
till evening everything for me is about
Shaolin so for what do I use this now
for I use it for because I think that
there listens more
easily in order for me to transmit
something that I
think everybody needs to
notice it may makes it easier for me to
transmit that message when I look like
this but besides that I don't care at
all um I don't know how else to say it's
been a long time that all the trophies
and all the certificates and all this
type of things I don't care anymore so
there is the other side of yes you can
create something like this and then
start collecting your trophies at home
that is a different way of using the
ego so I think it is about for what are
you using your identification your ego
inside this world that is the
question and from the past mainly I
think it is self-centeredness that goes
hand in hand with this type of egoism
that people sometimes are referring
to so if there is a type of person who
is identifying himself in such a way
that this type of
identification is separating him more
direction
because the separation happens almost by
itself the difficult part is bringing
what you see is drifting apart
invest your energy and hold it together
this is always more
difficult you know so that means if you
see two people are having an argument
and you don't
interfere it's easy the the easy ways
they just start
separating now the the fight maybe the
argument becomes bigger and bigger it's
easy they
separate but to find a way how to
combine apparently two different types
of opinion
two different types of of mindsets how
to still figure out a way how they can
let's say cooperate
coexist it takes brain power and it takes
takes
effort but it is the solution that holds
them together that is the
difference the ego path is the one with the
the
separation the difficult part is the one
where you always figure out
again and again how can I
connect how can I make people come
together not how can I make people
separate more it's happening by itself the

die I don't know what's happening with each

individual I can say what my observation
stop since the beginning that we were
born your heart goes up and down your
heart pumps the blood your lungs they
inhale they
exhale the stars

turning is the constant exchange between
up and down left and right in and out
night so something that I witness around
something that is that we are embedded
in is that existence and that interplay
of two
forces in China in Asia we call them yin and

yang now if I would ask you right now so

this meaning what what time
of the day do we

answering from our perspective being

be it's day and night at the same

life and death is something which happens

happens people die from one second to
reason it's unlikely things can fall
from the sky right onto you it's also
finished the point is how we come up
with the idea that death would be
after so one way how I took this
thinking process out for myself and what
it means for me
is automatically when some thought like
this gets really deep into you what
automatically happens is you appreciate
the Lifetime right right now more and
you are more careful about what you do
those two things automatically start to
arise in the moment this thought enters
into your flesh and
therefore I
prefer to not even think in this terms
later I focus on what I
can do right now with what has been
given to me this is what matters to me
because what what should I
say I think it's not going to happen if
you have a person who during the
lifetime is used to waste a lot of
energy waste a lot of Lifetime even if
you give him an
afterlife it's going to be the same
because why else from where should this
switch of mentality suddenly
come so waiting for better times to come
that you change something about you it's
not going to happen it's an illusion you
might think you're putting yourself
into you want to bring out something good
good
something the better version about
yourself is not going to happen in the next
life what you do right now this is what
you take to whatever going to come
afterwards and this is now really also
the reason why there are existing
so-called Chong methods energy cultivation
cultivation
methods aiming in exactly that
that
this if you you are living it's it's
easy explained if you are smoking a lot
if you're taking a lot of drugs if you
are taking uh a lot of intoxicants and
then right now you start to have a
child your child gets part of this
information that you have embedded first
of all into your
body at the same time if you
are educating training your body your
mind in such a way and fill your body up
with information let's let's say
positive information and then you pass
it on also this type of information goes
to your uh goes to your
child so the better you are developing
yourself the more easy it is going to
become for your child to go on because
he has already something that you let's
say worked for
already so everything that you are
attaining I think it is not getting
lost afterwards it's not getting lost
you can build up upon it for me this
means for example how can it be
sometimes child are born nowadays and
you realize they have a
super a super high let's say res an with
music how come that they just saw the
instrument the first few times and then
and then they already like it's strange
it's too good to to to that it's the
first time well because it probably is
not the first
time and now just for the question that
you that some people might be
thinkinking so what you're saying is
that from generation to generation there
is something being passed on of course
it's like
this it's just what we know is our DNA
our genes they definitely have some type
of information being passed on in
relation to our skin color in relation
to the shape of our face the shape of
our nose because you and me we have
never met our grand grand grand grand
grandfathers but if you would see a
picture of him you would recognize
there's something similar between you
and him so five six seven generations
and still something is passed on physically
physically
wise yeah and I think it's not just physically
physically
wise I also think something is passed on
when it comes to spiritually
wise so if you develop yourself in a
certain spiritual way in this lifetime
already I think it has some effect for future
future
Generations yeah and this is like the
whole idea why for me personally I do
this type of practices because I think
if you want to travel
far like a
spaceship you need a lot of fuel one day
you need a lot of energy one day and
what is this chiong about
learning to nourish yourself with CHI with
with
energy so to a certain extent in this
type of practices the reasons why you
still see people doing these breathing
exercises people are still
um crazy sometimes about this

because it's very essential and
fundamental practice for us in Asia to

your uh yeah your
energy and the more full you are the
more energized you
are the more far you can
travel so I don't know where and what's
going to come after after life I just
make sure right now that I do my
practices and that whatever comes

going to
come I really love the idea of the
generation or passing it on but also
even the if you're in somebody else's
thoughts and mind they're passing on to

DNA and it it's such a wonderful way of
thinking about it um this this one's
more of a question I think uh I would
like to have your perspective on from
from our point of view because with
Mullan our mission is to inspire change
and I I feel that that that's at the
core of everything that we're trying to
do um and some people ask us why and I
want it's the same question to yourself
as why why help others why why try and
be nice to others when you could live a
nice life without helping others
others
okay because I
realized uh I said in one of the
interviews before that we had really
difficult times Monastery wise to
finance it in the very first 5 to 6 years
years so
so
therefore there was a time when we were
also trying to really increase uh the
amount of like trainings where we are
going to have seminars for business
people some type of management trainings
and introduce them to different methods
that they can maybe use to reduce their
stress yeah so like Stress Management
courses and I have to
say in my whole
life I never had any type of workshops
or seminars that were paid so good like
these type of
seminars so if I would have went on just
have I really think uh money would never
ever be a problem
anymore but along this way I just realized
realized
something unsatisfaction
every time I started to travel and knew
now you're going to be there again in
wherever and you're going to invest 8
hours of your lifetime to talk to these
people knowing after this talk out of
the 12 15 people that are sitting there
12 people are saying saying they are
inspired and I already know and the
third or fourth day maybe two of them
are going to put something into practice
that you were sharing with them and
after 1
month maybe hopefully one person is
still remaining who is taking some
benefit from uh from that amount of time
that has been
invested so I was a little bit
disappointed I have to say that after
investing so much time that the feedback
I knew already uh was very very
little and that unsatisfaction was not
because of the payment it was because I
realized I don't like to invest energy
in something knowing already it's not
grow so what did I do I had to change my
Approach roach I said if something is
supposed to grow it's unfortunately not
enough to only give that initial spark
of inspiration in the beginning it's not
enough it needs just like a small
flower you plant the seed and you give
water and sunlight on a regular
basis this is more that is going to lead
to some type of growth and this is why
all the type
of um engagements that we meanwhile
have none of them is made for first
time because first time is never enough
only when people stay with something
only if you a little bit take care of
them and
um let's say you
um yeah let's say you take them on the
hand and take them with you so you are
along their footsteps walking next to
them this is something where then you
can witness their
growth and something like this to see
that people becoming more happy people
becoming more healthy issues people had
before start to disappear thankfulness
returns back in their life Harmony
returns back in their life Joy comes
back in the life of some person and this because
because
you were a part of that
process no money in this
world gives you the same
feeling and this is why I like this
work because it is paying you something
back that money cannot
do and it makes me feel good it makes me
feel like I have a
purpose I know that after witnessing
such days
is not the waste of day for
me things can things can still go wrong
whatever but if I know on that day you
really supported one person yeah and you
saw he really made some progress he had
a breakthrough
whatsoever yeah it's good I feel
good and yeah that's why I think there
is something similar
just like I also mentioned before
um
doing or experiencing these type of
things is the only way to get to answers
so at least I'm happy you didn't ask how
do we find happiness
happiness
because my
search in a way I stopped searching for
that term or the Fulfillment of happiness
happiness
because it might just not be there it
might just be a word for another illusion for another concept
another illusion for another concept that we have maybe put into
that we have maybe put into ourself that needs to be achieved
ourself that needs to be achieved somehow let's just assume this happiness
somehow let's just assume this happiness whatever it
whatever it is would mean that there is
is would mean that there is something
something fluctuating Uprising outwards upwards
fluctuating Uprising outwards upwards happiness joy like that euphoric
happiness joy like that euphoric feeling so something so there's movement
feeling so something so there's movement there is movement in whatever Direction
there is movement in whatever Direction doesn't
doesn't matter wherever you have movement you
matter wherever you have movement you always have counter
always have counter movement it is that picture if you have
movement it is that picture if you have a
a lake an ocean and that ocean is still or
lake an ocean and that ocean is still or that water is standing still if you
that water is standing still if you start to tap on it you will have up
start to tap on it you will have up Ripples and down
Ripples and down ripples if you don't want to have
ripples if you don't want to have ripples you cannot touch
ripples you cannot touch it so and very similar it is now with
it so and very similar it is now with that idea of if you think happiness is
that idea of if you think happiness is something which is Uprising then it just
something which is Uprising then it just means in the moment you feel that
means in the moment you feel that Uprising sooner or later you will feel
Uprising sooner or later you will feel its counter Force which is the decline
its counter Force which is the decline of something
of something so no happiness is not what we're
so no happiness is not what we're looking
looking for but peace is something
for but peace is something different peace for me is there is
different peace for me is there is something
something unmovable
unmovable unshakeable inside of you regardless of

circumstances so you found a place that you can let's say
you can let's say mentally go to
mentally go to where you feel there is nothing
where you feel there is nothing fluctuating regardless of what's
fluctuating regardless of what's happening out
happening out there because you found something about
there because you found something about you you found something that nothing can
you you found something that nothing can be added to it because it's complete
be added to it because it's complete already and nothing can be taken away
already and nothing can be taken away from it because there's nothing you can
from it because there's nothing you can lose if something like this starts to
lose if something like this starts to arise in the way of your
arise in the way of your perception I think
perception I think that is the that is a state which is
um which is yeah peaceful which is peaceful and gives you that peace of
peaceful and gives you that peace of mind because what should you worry about
mind because what should you worry about if there is nothing to
if there is nothing to worry of course now many people say yeah
worry of course now many people say yeah but I have a child that I need to take
but I have a child that I need to take care of this is not the this is at the
care of this is not the this is at the moment not
moment not the not the
the not the level um that I that I mean is something
level um that I that I mean is something different it's a very
different it's a very deep level of
deep level of feeling you know you you know it can't
feeling you know you you know it can't go
wrong does it make sense like
there is no fear there is no fear there
is now in this field of fluctuation when you have the up and downs it's the same
you have the up and downs it's the same like when you have the life and the
like when you have the life and the death still chronologically after
death still chronologically after another all of these expressions for me
another all of these expressions for me is very very
is very very similar as long as there is movement you
similar as long as there is movement you will always be confronted with this idea
will always be confronted with this idea of dualism with the existence of like
of dualism with the existence of like both sides so peace
means there is something stable about you no matter if around you things seem
you no matter if around you things seem to fluctuate there is still amongst the
to fluctuate there is still amongst the fluctuation something still
fluctuation something still there and if you have access to that
if you can Center yourself if you can calm yourself calm
yourself if you can calm yourself calm the
the mind it means stop the
mind it means stop the movement stop the movement and you will
movement stop the movement and you will enter at
peace now it's very difficult sometimes if people already have like
if people already have like preconditioned thoughts and they heal
preconditioned thoughts and they heal peace there's nothing
peace there's nothing moving it sounds
boring but that's not it no it's the same like you can either deny life or
same like you can either deny life or you let life flow through you both of
you let life flow through you both of them is called
them is called submission yeah
and I think a moment of Peace let's see if I can put it into into this

went to Thailand I traveled there together with

another Master brother and you know even me being here

sometimes in the monastery knowing the surroundings knowing this

had some time to get out of the monastery and then especially going to
monastery and then especially going to Thailand you know Thailand sometimes

is like a free and the reason is because it feels
free and the reason is because it feels like this over there just by the
like this over there just by the circumstances make it easy for you to
circumstances make it easy for you to somehow have that feeling that you're in
somehow have that feeling that you're in the land where you can actually quite do
the land where you can actually quite do a lot of things as long as you abide to
a lot of things as long as you abide to the rules without harming anyone but one
the rules without harming anyone but one of these moments was that I sometimes
of these moments was that I sometimes like to ride motorcycle so over in
like to ride motorcycle so over in Thailand I also had like a scooter that

I rented and now just imagine you are like
rented and now just imagine you are like driving with a scooter through a
driving with a scooter through a jungle like really nice roads really
jungle like really nice roads really epic scenery like 40 minutes you drive

up the roads until I ended up at the top of a
until I ended up at the top of a mountain where was a restaurant or a
mountain where was a restaurant or a small coffee located and so I stopped
small coffee located and so I stopped over there and was standing at that
over there and was standing at that balcony from that coffee which was
balcony from that coffee which was pointed
pointed towards the the complete jungle
towards the the complete jungle Valley and then I was standing there
Valley and then I was standing there having that coffee in my hands watching
having that coffee in my hands watching down seeing like the Monk
down seeing like the Monk jumping around in the jungle there the
jumping around in the jungle there the fog covered parts of the of the trees
fog covered parts of the of the trees already and I don't know how to express
already and I don't know how to express it but this is like such a moment where
it but this is like such a moment where something like Bo starts to open for me
something like Bo starts to open for me where I just say this like better than a
where I just say this like better than a movie you know you you ride with your
movie you know you you ride with your motorcycle through the jungle stand on
motorcycle through the jungle stand on top of a mountain drink your coffee and
top of a mountain drink your coffee and watch down while the monkey are jumping
watch down while the monkey are jumping around down
around down there and that is a moment where then
there and that is a moment where then suddenly something
suddenly something opens where like it feels like that life
opens where like it feels like that life is coming back into
is coming back into you yeah
you yeah and this is it where that peaceful
and this is it where that peaceful moment
moment comes where that peaceful moment starts
comes where that peaceful moment starts to open up because you are only in
to open up because you are only in observation
observation mode there is nothing that you are
mode there is nothing that you are adding to that scenery there is no
adding to that scenery there is no expectation that now you are comparing
expectation that now you are comparing to ah expectation met no it's the
realization that's it that's it that is this very special
it that's it that is this very special moment right now that's not going to
moment right now that's not going to happen
happen anymore but you just realized it that is
anymore but you just realized it that is this this feeling now which is which
this this feeling now which is which goes handin hand with that type of peace
goes handin hand with that type of peace be because only when the peace is
be because only when the peace is there you are going to look out at
