I think it's so strange that I'm
wearing it's the same color for K
Airways it's like I'm wearing the K
Airway skirt why do you want to be a
flight attendant why should we hire you
tell me about yourself we were feeling
like we are the ones that
hello everybody Welcome to my YouTube
channel welcome to genuine me today I
want to talk to you about something very
interesting it's something that has
always been so dear to me like so dear
to the point where I made all my
decisions around it you know I wanted to
be a flight attendant at Kar Airways so
I'm going to tell you guys about my
journey I only tried twice though I
tried I think it was the year 2022 and
okay I think it's twice in 2022 but I
want to tell you guys everything about
it in case you are looking into
information on how to make it into the
airline I can tell you what I know so
far from my experience I didn't make it
yet but I feel like my experience can
add into yours and if you are
compassionate about this career and you
are trying to get into it I feel like my
information can can add into yours like
my experience can add into your
experience and you can stand a better
chance I'm going to be reading from my
notes here and there just to to make
sure I don't forget anything important
so in this video I'm going to tell you
tips and tricks how to make it from like
the first stage to the second stage do
zomes things like that and most of it
will really be from my research which
also helped me to make it as far as I
did first thing is first there's a few
requirements that if you want to be a FL
attendant in katar Airways you must meet
one of those requirements is that you
must be 21 years of age and above but I
know there are circumstances and
instances where like maybe you are 20
but if you're tur 21 the same year they
can make an exception for you I've seen
that happen when I was at my first
interview they really like the girl and
they say you know what you can still um
go through with this because you're
turning 21 soon the second requirement
is that you must have the ability to reach
reach
212 CM on your toes or just they will
have a little marking on the wall and
you must be able to reach that that
height on your toes or without your
shoes the other requirement is that you
must have a high school certificate
remember you are able to get this job
straight off from your school because
they are taking people who are like 21
years of age upward so even if you just
finished your um grade 12 and you don't
have much work experience yet it's still
fine you must have fency in speaking
English as well as writing English you
must be willing to relocate to Doha this
is where catar Airways is based as you
go through the assessment you realize
they're actually testing this things as
well like you know the the unreach the
Excellence in in speaking English which
is why there is English tests and things
like that but let's go straight into
step number one what do you do you apply
and how do you apply you apply online
from there everything is pretty much
clear you will see the post the post
that you're trying to apply for for your
country because they go to many nations
so you will see the post you're trying
to apply for your country and you click
on it just provide all the information
that they requiring from you I think
it's pretty straight on forward if you
have made it from the application they
will send you an invitation through your
email the invitation will tell you quite
a few things like where the interview is
going to be what time slots are you
supposed to be in they will tell you
what to bring like bring your passport
for photo bring your CV and a copy of
your invitation letter which they
emailed you this invitation will also
tell you a few things to expect on that
day so from there on you have to prepare
for your interview and one thing that I
want to talk about is what must you wear
on the day how must you look first
things first you must look as
professional as possible I'm going to
put up a photo on the screen to show you
what I was wearing on my first
assessment day I I will also put the one
to show you what I was wearing on my
second assessment day remember when you
were invited to the interviews you asked
to bring a passport size photo I will
also like show you my passport size
photos try to dress more like you know
how the flight attendant dress try to
mimic that look wear a skirt your formal
skirt and a a short sleev shirt and a
blazer you need to wear a short sleev
shirt maybe even something like this it
can work when you put your Blazer on top
because there's a stage where they're
going to want to see your arms they're
going to check if you have scars and
they're going to even check on your legs
and if you do have a scar you have to
decare it you have to show it to them
this is why you should wear a short
skirt as compared to maybe long pants
because what are you going to do now
when they need to see your scars but
your skirt it shouldn't be shorts like
short shorts you know it should be
professional the same way you know like
maybe something like this like what I'm
wearing okay it doesn't show but yeah
something like
this I think it's so strange that I'm
wearing that I'm wearing this girl
because it's it's the same color for K
Airways it's like I'm wearing the K
Airways skir but yeah try to wear
something like this a little bit below
your knees you know they are a very
decent country if I can put it like that
they like people who dress really decent
so like just make sure you're on their
safe side knee length or a little lower
than your knees just a little also I
want to talk about your hair make sure
your hair is neat if if you can tie it
into a bun tie it into a neat bun like
just neat and clean like look at how the
flight attendants tie their bun try to
do that but I know it's not always the
case for everybody some of you you have
your braids try those braids neatly like
try to look as much as you can like a
flight attendant you know even this hair
length is allowed they can just leave it
loose like this just make sure
everything is neat that's what I can say
don't don't try to be curly or like
stand out too much at the hair just be
professional and neat also on the side
of men since men are watching this I
don't know much but if you're a man just
try to wear your formal I'll just I'll
put a few pictures on the screen for you
to see for women and for for men like
the best look you can have and I know
for men also while you're on the job the
flight attendants I think they don't
keep a beard I don't know if um do they
they don't keep a beard so if you're a
man and you can you know shave your
beard make your face as clean and as
neat as possible as well as a man just
try to look like a flight attendant the
flight attendant men in Kai a guys I
really feel like if you try to mimic the
look as much as you can it will work out
for you because they they want to see if
you can be a flight attendant if you can
look like what they want you to look
like so help them to Envision it help
them see a f attendant in you when they
look at you one other thing I want to
talk about your conduct is very
important just always act like someone
is watching you like when I was doing my
research I really heard a lot about that
like you never know who the recruiters
came with maybe someone is an eye out
there acting like one of the flight
attendant we don't know but try to
conduct yourself professionally um
socialize with others don't isolate
yourself you are trying to look like you
will work well with others even when you
when they've hired you so on the day
even when you're waiting for your time
slot and even after if you're waiting
for the second stage just talk to others
get to know them smile be in a good mood
you know after all when you get hired
you're going to work with a lot of
people you'll be a team and you should
be able to relate well so try to relate
with everybody around you don't isolate
yourself even when you're sitting down
sit sit professionally you know how
flight attendance they should sit in a
decent manner be aware of yourself and
be aware take the moment you get into
that interview just take everything as
an interview that's pretty much what I
can say take everything as an interview
so this is how my assessment day went I
got my invite and because they said
there was going to be so many people
they said that the assessments are going
to take 3 days the first day CV dropped
the second day the assessment and the
third day the final interview but yeah
day one let's start the CV ending uh
which is the first stage okay now it's
your turn you get in you're going to
hand your CV you're going to hand your
passport photo the things that they
required you to bring on the invitation
letter right um just be calm listen and
speak on your turn like don't interrupt
the recruiter if maybe she's saying
something and wait for her to tell you
to hand her the the CV cuz I realize
sometimes when you get into the
interview room she's still like writing
something down about the the person that
just left the room so just wait for her
to finish don't just you know slam your
your CV on the
table but I want to say I want to share
with you a few questions that you might
be asked on the interview when you're
handing your CV the most commonly asked
questions here in this stage why do you
want to be a flight attendant why should
we hire you tell me about yourself if
you can Master answering these three
questions I'm telling you there's
nothing that you should be afraid of I
remember the first time I went I was
asked why do you want to be a flight
attendant the second time I got the same
question okay from my research these are
the three most asked questions but let
me tell you what not to say when they
ask ask you why do you want to be a
flight attendant don't say that because
you love traveling don't say I want to
be a flight attendant because I love
traveling no no no no that was me the
first time I got into the interview room
and I had practic my answer I thought
girl you got this you got this and you
already taken but little did I know that
is not the way to go um don't say that
show them that you want to be a flight
attendant because of
the roles of a flight attendant because
you love customer service because you
are passionate about Aviation you love
the carea you are someone who loves um
helping people you are show them that
you love the bits and pieces about the
job like what actually goes on in the
job you know what I mean because that's
actually what you're going to be doing
and you're not going to be traveling
like you know usually when people say
they love traveling it's like you are
doing it for pleasure and things like
that so the traveling part yes we will
get it but it is not the most suitable
thing to talk about like when you're
saying you want this job because you
love traveling traveling is not the most
important thing about being a five or 10
people to them they need to see somebody
who wants to work you want to work work
you want to do this work you want to
just yeah so so if you can Master
answering these three questions I know
like even when I was doing my research
there was so many questions people said
that you can be prepared for what what
what what but um according to me these
are the questions that you need to know
also one thing that you must remember to
do when you are before the recruiter
smile and when you get into that
interview room like greet her smile be
be on a good end energy like they want
to see customer service when they look
at you like the recruiter sees herself
as a customer for a moment and you are
the flight attendant and give her that
service make her feel good you know
exude good energy like let her feel it
and one thing that you must be careful
about is um don't give an answer that is
like super formal like that's one thing
I learned uh in this experience they
want they want to hear the real you in
your answer they want you to be genuine
with your answer like like this is
coming straight from your heart like it
shouldn't be like you practice this and
like they can hear that like I witnessed
an instance where someone gave an answer
like that because you know when we were
being interviewed we were in a queue
like this but the other person like you
could almost hear the the interview
going on and he gave a really excellent
answer and the recruiter asked him tell
me the real reason you want this job
tell me the real reason because they
want to feel you they want to see you
they like it's really not about the
answer in the stage like from my
research that's what I found out not
really entirely about your answer it's
also about your energy your personality
or their testing also can you um can you
speak English fluently voice projection
things like that they're really testing
you in everything but you don't notice
that you just think it's about the
answer no it's about your smile your
face your energy um how you make them
feel when they're talking to you when
you're talking to them the way you're
responding like everything the way
you're standing your your posture your
gestures while you're talking are you
going to be standing still like this
when you're answering don't do that just
just be free try as much as you can to
to exud good energy and when you give
your answer make sure it's straight to
the point don't make it too long or Too
Short just like when they asking what's
your name just say your names that sort
of thing you know don't add too much to
your answers that's not necessary
because they have a long day and they
they want to help everybody they they
are tired they have a lot of work okay
so now if you made it they will give you
an invitation right on spot and if you
didn't make it they won't give you the
invitation or they will say I'll send
you an email um no they'll say you will
receive an
email um I feel like they say that just
to make you not feel hurt you know it's
not nice for them to reject you on spot
but usually when you make it to the
second stage they will hand you uh a
physical invite on the spot otherwise
you go home you try again next time I've
been there um the first time I went I
didn't get an invitation and they told
me we will send you an email and I
waited for that email only to find out
that there's no email that's coming it
was probably just a way to say you are
rejected because I saw that everybody
who was invited to the next day were get
were actually given invites second time
that that I tried I managed to pass the
first stage and I was given an invite on
spot so now I'll talk about the second
day the second stage this is day two the
energy is great we're socializing and
everything yeah it was so nice we were
given numbers and then we registered
ourselves with those ID numbers it was
just a way to say you know if they call
number 40 you know that they're
referring to you I was given number 40
and I for get that we went on to write
the English test it's a 30 minutes test
and it's more of an english
comprehension test there was um a short
story there and after that there was
multiple choice questions and then there
were other questions that were I think I
think everything was multiple choice
that is it so after we finished the
English test the recruiters like left
and they came back in an hour or so and
when they came back they called people
out and when they call your your ID
number like 401 mm- all these people
they were they were asked to stand up
the recruiter said everybody that I just
called out come with me there's two
recruiters so they went out with this
one recruiter we were feeling like we
are the ones that
failed but right when they left the
recruiter that was left with us told us
so you guys you the ones that made it so
if you're here in this room right now it
means that you passed your English
test so that is what happened so now
from there on we went to do the scar
check there we were on the Queue again
to show our scars let me tell you my
experience so I got into into the room
they told me to take off my shoes and do
the unreach to they wanted to see if I
can reach 212 CM I reached it and then
they asked me a question they said what
do you do on your free time what do you
usually do on your free time I think I
said that on my free time I enjoy
watching YouTube videos and doing my
makeup and yeah things like that I and
and I clean during that time as well I
think I said things like that I'm not
quite sure so now it was time to show
them my scar and they asked me if I have
any scars that I want to declare I was
aware of one scar on my body yes that
you know people don't usually notice the
scar even me myself I I never see it but
um I don't know if you will be able to
see it is this one right here on my on
okay so this is my
scar and I just quickly showed them the
scar and they said like the the
recruiter turned around and asked the
other recruiter it's 2 cm isn't it and
she said yes then she wrote down that my
scar is 2 cm can you believe it I didn't
even know that my scar is 2 cm and one
other thing I forgot to say before they
even do the the scar test before they
ask you to show you their scar they want
to see your nails so I they said put
your hands on the table I just put my
hands on the table and I show them my
nails and then that's when I showed them
the scarf after that we went back to the
hall and we were waiting for the results
they called out names of people again
this time they said if we call your name
you've made it to the next stage they
called and called and called up to the
end and they didn't call my ID number so
this was it for me I made it all the way
way to the scar check so I've always
told myself I didn't make it because of
the scar because I don't see any other
reason I don't see it I don't but I will
tell you what I know from my research
about the next stages what goes on in
the next stages so from here the
remaining people who made it to the next
stage they are gathered into groups
depending how many they are they will be
maybe groups of four groups of five and
then they'll be given
activities questions to say this is the
problem how would you solve it as a
group how would you solve this like then
they will discuss and discuss and they
will present their answer to the
recruiters it's not really about the
answer from what I've learned it's about
are you able to work in a team they're
watching who is overstepping others you
know who is pushy who is not listening
when others are saying their suggestions
they want you to they want someone who
can Embrace others thoughts others
opinions and you know they discuss it
from a point of yeah but that's a good
suggestion but how about we do this what
do you think of this they want someone
who's considerate of others if you feel
like someone's suggestion is not
something that will work you don't just
say no I think that's a bad idea I think
that will definitely never work they
don't want people who are har and can
hurt other people's feelings just be
like man that's a great idea what if we
do it this way you know so they're
watching everything it's not about the
answers about teamwork at this point and
if you make it from this stage to the
next one I think the next one is the
final stage the oneon-one interview
where they'll be talking to you more on
a close up oneon-one uh situation asking
you how do you feel about relocating to
a different country have you ever worked
in a different country before do you
think blah blah blah blah all those
final interview questions usually they
ask questions which are maybe even
similar to the ones they ask you when
you're handing in your TV but a lot more
questions remember at this point they
are really thinking about hiring you
they want to know if you're suitable on
every level if you're comfortable able
like one of the questions is are you
able to serve alcohol they want to know
will this person be able to serve
alcohol if we hire her you know if the
job requires you to to be able to S
alcohol to the customers you know
they're just going deep in there to see
if you can actually do the job I feel
like it's not even more of like a a deep
testing sort of interview at this point
they're just checking if the things they
will require you to do can you do them
them from there on they will make you
sign some papers I'm not sure what it's
about but that's pretty much what I
heard from there on though you still do
wait for for them to contact you again
and then they will formalize everything
if they have hired you if they've
decided to go with you they will ask you
for medical tests like you the medical
tests that you have to go do ask you for
copies of your passport they will ask
you for photos like full body photos
things like that but you don't need to
worry much about that what you if you're
watching this video what you need to
focus on is mainly to just make it
through the stages and get this job
because that's really what you want and
I think everything else that they'll
require you to do you'll be able to do
it this is my experience um trying to be
a flight attendant in Qatar Airways I
don't know if I will ever try again do
another try currently they have not been
coming to our country I don't know when
they're going to come next there's been
like just a huge silence that got us
wondering are they even ever going to
come back to our country but I feel like
this is something I'm passionate about
obviously in life if you really want
something you have to go for it and you
only fail the day that you quit on
something otherwise you can't really say
that you know I didn't make it because
what what I could because they're never
going to hire how do you know you have
to do your best as long as you can you
have to keep trying right now though I
want to focus on my current career and
teaching um but that's not to say that
I'll close the door on being a flight
attendant I really really am passionate
about this uh this job being a flight
attendant I really feel like if give him
the chance one day I will try it out but
right now I want to focus on what I'm
doing and I I'm embracing it and I
really see a good future with it please
do like this video please leave a
comment ask me anything let me know if
you want me to record anything regarding
this again maybe with a different
Airline this video was only be precisely
about Kar Airways people who want to try
with Kar Airways Maybe em Airlines I can
definitely put up a good video for you
