you know as as we were erupting

as the place was erupting in praise

i just immediately

heard a cloud of witnesses

and when when you read hebrews 12 you

find out that

all of the great patriarchs and

matriarchs that have gone before us when

we read the bible we find abraham we

find david we find elijah we find elijah

we find all the prophets and then we

find the disciples and paul

that when we were all erupting in praise

you have to realize that

in heaven they're constantly praising

they're constantly

worshiping him and

you know our mandate is to bring heaven

to earth well how

how do you bring heaven to earth if you

don't do what heaven is doing

heaven is worshiping heaven is praising

and when you think of a cloud of

witnesses i just think sometimes we get

so caught up in the the day-to-day

sometimes and it's so awesome in a

corporate setting that somebody next to

you might have had a crazy day where

they allowed

the thoughts of what they have to do in

the maybe the financial burden maybe

it's a medical thing whatever is that

just allow some things to go and you you

kind of get clouded from

the reality of god because you become

more aware of things going on in the

world and it it takes place but when the

bible says we're surrounded by such a

great cloud of witnesses did you know in

heaven abraham david

they're cheering for you that like while

you're going through the day there's an eruption

eruption

there's an eruption steve like tony like

they're they're cheering because they

want to see

they want to see the seeds that they

planted in their error that their seeds

of faith they want to see that harvest

grow and that we're a part of the

heritage of the body of christ and the

apostles they're all cheering for us up

there and when i heard us erupting in

praise it just reminded me that when

your praise can can bring out a

breakthrough in the person next to you

because you begin to just break out

of the day-to-day and you begin to pray

so can we just lift up a shout to the lord

jesus foreign jesus

in second timothy [Music]

second timothy is paul's

the apostle paul it's his last letter

that he writes before he gets

his head chopped off

for believing in jesus

for standing for the gospel second

timothy is his last letter

and one of my favorite verses in the bible

but in second timothy 1 12

paul's writing to his son in the faith timothy

timothy

and it gets me teary-eyed every time

because he

he was in

he was in jail

knowing that

death he's about to have his head

chopped off for believing in the gospel he knows

for believing in the gospel he knows he's about to face it and he's he's

he's about to face it and he's he's encouraging his son in the faith timothy

encouraging his son in the faith timothy and in verse 12 of chapter one he says

and in verse 12 of chapter one he says this he says i suffer these things

this he says i suffer these things but i'm not ashamed

in whom i have believed

you know what's so important about that statement is he doesn't say i know and

statement is he doesn't say i know and what i've believed

if you're more confident in what you believe than who you believe

believe than who you believe all you'll do is have theological

arguments but when you know who you believe you

but when you know who you believe you always got to ask him

and offerings are so crucial in our lives last night i was sharing a little

every offering is a moment to experience him in a way that you haven't

experience him in a way that you haven't before it's a trust journey of going on

and in philippians 2 once again paul wrote so many of his epistles from

paul wrote so many of his epistles from prison

[Music] it's so amazing that sometimes people

it's so amazing that sometimes people can just read these and just quote all

these amazing statements of faith about being free and the man that was

about being free and the man that was saying all this was in a jail cell

it goes to show you the reality of freedom is not based off the external

freedom is not based off the external but the internal

but the internal but it manifests out of you the more

but it manifests out of you the more that it's real within you and paul

that it's real within you and paul writing philippians

writing philippians was in prison and he's saying rejoice

was in prison and he's saying rejoice again i sent a rejoice in the lord he's

again i sent a rejoice in the lord he's saying all these things you would think

saying all these things you would think he was just like you know at a ball game

he was just like you know at a ball game or something like the way that he's

or something like the way that he's talking like this is amazing you know

talking like this is amazing you know like you're like jail cell and he's

like you're like jail cell and he's but in verse 12 of chapter two and the

and trembling did you know your salvation is not other

with fear and troubling the body of christ is encouragement rebuke and

correction but your decision to follow jesus is

your own it is a heart decision for it is god who works in you both to

will and to do for his good pleasure you know when we sing even when i can't

even throughout your day that god is working on the inside of your heart

that god is working in you and that's why we got to be conscious to the

you should just be getting convicted by reading that verse

that you may become blameless and harmless children of god without fault

it's so important that you understand he's not just talking frivolously he's

he's he's talking about in the old testament particularly in numbers and

testament particularly in numbers and you find in leviticus there was a drink

offering there was grain offerings or sin

there was grain offerings or sin offerings but there was a drink offering

offerings but there was a drink offering and the drink offering was when an

and the drink offering was when an animal sacrifice came into how many

animal sacrifice came into how many people are thankful you don't have to

people are thankful you don't have to bring a little lamb to church

bring a little lamb to church and when we say hey who's thankful to

and when we say hey who's thankful to bring a tangible offering to the lord

bring a tangible offering to the lord i like how many people are thankful

this is the reality of how it was set in place that when a

a lamb that the priest would actually have to

and it was called the drink offering and the priest was allowed to eat the

and this is so significant because what did jesus say when he
