0:05 doesn't she look so beautiful
0:08 everybody I love you I love you this is
0:11 special I was not I was not anticipating
0:12 this I thought we would just kind of
0:15 walk out they did the whole entrance
0:17 thing so you guys that have waited this
0:19 long you're in for a real treat so I
0:21 asked him last night I said honey what
0:22 are we talking about tomorrow and he
0:25 goes I don't know like family life maybe
0:28 about the election and I was like you're
0:30 lucky I don't need not cards he I know
0:32 that's why I married
0:35 you well what a year it's
0:39 been wild in in so many different
0:43 ways wild I first of all I have to say
0:45 this without getting emotional but I'm
0:47 very proud of my husband and I know many
0:57 too I cry but um you have worked so hard
0:58 and I know a lot of you have seen
1:01 obviously videos on Tik Tok and all the
1:04 stuff he does on campus but no one gets
1:07 to see him from my angle except for
1:09 myself and our
1:12 children and the sacrifices that he made this
1:13 this
1:17 year he's amazing I'm very blessed and I
1:18 I would not have been able to do any of
1:20 it without Erica and that's the real
1:23 truth I'll tell you what where I was
1:25 going into battle going into campuses
1:29 traveling the country people that want
1:31 us and they smear you and slander you
1:33 and Erica is holding down the fort at
1:36 home um and can you believe how good she
1:38 looks she had a baby 6 months ago can
1:40 you believe that I mean it's
1:43 unbelievable and it's just this this
1:47 year has been so trying and difficult in
1:49 more ways than one um you guys might
1:52 remember a year ago I gave the whole
1:54 speech of Here I Am Lord send me does
1:56 anyone remember that whole thing that we
1:58 did yeah and it was kind of this joke
2:00 that we had as soon as I gave that
2:03 message we got so sick we didn't even
2:05 have Christmas last Christmas we had
2:07 Domino's Pizza for Christmas oh yes we
2:08 did I remember him getting off stage and
2:11 I say honey do you realize what you just
2:13 did he's like yeah I just SP and I was
2:16 like no no no no you said here I am that
2:20 is a very powerful statement and God's
2:24 like I see you and he just I mean it's
2:27 been a wild year but Charlie is so
2:31 obedient to God to the the word of God
2:34 and it's been so humbling to witness the
2:36 way that God has used him this year
2:39 because he made that declaration a year
2:41 ago saying here I am I'm ready wherever
2:43 you need me to be Lord I'll be and I'm
2:46 your servant and just put me out there
2:48 in the thick of it and you did it and
2:50 it's but again now I say if you're going
2:51 to stand on stage and say Here I Am make
2:53 sure you tell me beforehand so I know
2:54 what we're going up against so that
2:58 we're we're prepared and and it it we
3:00 look back at this last year and we
3:02 really left it all in the field and you
3:04 guys saw that uh maybe on the video on
3:06 Election night where we did not even
3:09 have words uh when they announced Donald
3:11 Trump to become president of the United
3:13 States and for us it was very real it
3:15 was very personal uh because who knows
3:17 what our life would have looked like uh
3:18 if kamla Harris would have become
3:20 president who knows they would have come
3:21 after turning point they would have come
3:24 after us personally and so we just say
3:26 glory to God and the lessons that we
3:28 learned throughout this last year you
3:30 know we welcomed our son uh to the world
3:33 back in May um
3:36 this and balancing that with two kids
3:40 under two Erica deserves every prize
3:42 she's the Patriot of the Year award I'll
3:43 tell you that that's that that's the
3:46 award she deserves and just kind of
3:48 juggling it all and keeping the marriage
3:51 strong and keeping that Bedrock strong
3:53 and still doing our best and we did a
3:56 really good job I only I think I missed
3:58 three sabbaths this year only three
4:00 times when we did not do the full
4:02 Shabbat which I'm a big believer in that
4:05 all of you guys should honor a day for
4:07 the Lord turn off your phone it says it
4:09 very clearly in the scriptures for six
4:11 days you shall work on the seventh day
4:14 you shall rest and we do a really bad
4:17 job of that as American Christians we do
4:19 a horrible job of honoring the Sabbath
4:21 in fact the word in Hebrew literally
4:23 means Shabbat which means to stop to
4:27 cease all of activity and can we should
4:30 speak about how our family we I could be
4:32 traveling for six days but as long as we
4:35 get one Sabbath it makes up for all
4:38 those six days no phones no technology
4:40 just family and quality well and it's
4:43 quality over quantity and you know when
4:45 Gigi sees you walk into the room she
4:48 just beines for Daddy but it's one of
4:50 those things too I mean people have
4:52 asked like how do you do it when
4:53 Charlie's traveling and like all over
4:55 the place it's because we understand our
4:59 Biblical roles in our marriage he is the
5:02 head of the house household and I am not
5:05 a servant I am not a slave to the master
5:08 I am his helpmate I am the guardian of
5:11 the home that is my domain and the
5:14 enemy and the enemy would love nothing
5:16 more than that territory because those
5:19 four walls are not just a home those
5:21 four walls are for when he comes home
5:24 after battling and building and those
5:26 four walls are the walls I mean we're
5:29 creating our child's childhood which is
5:32 so special but it's one of those things
5:34 where we understand our roles and you
5:38 know we ask each other every single day
5:40 how can I be praying for you is there
5:42 anything I can do for you to help make
5:44 your day better and I always want to
5:46 know like what do you need in order to
5:48 when you get home take your shoes off
5:50 like an easy soft landing pad for each
5:53 other so it's just being a team and
5:56 loving one another and knowing that you
5:58 guys aren't against one another but
6:00 we're in the thick of it together yeah
6:02 and then being able to then go back into
6:05 the war after that and I know what every
6:07 guy is thinking in the audience how do I
6:08 get a wife like Erica I know that's what
6:11 you're all thinking and the answer is
6:12 you don't deserve it and I don't deserve
6:14 it it's by God's grace that's the answer
6:17 but in all seriousness you know we get a
6:20 lot of questions about dating and you
6:22 know I'm sure a lot of people are
6:23 wondering I mean I have a lot of
6:26 thoughts on this but there's this
6:28 question of how does the church how does
6:31 the conservative movement win back young
6:34 women and bring women back into this
6:39 idea of you know traditional um uh
6:40 practices and
6:43 roles how should people think about that
6:45 I mean I feel like it should be a duty
6:48 of the church to help teach Titus 2 to
6:51 women um to understand how to be a
6:54 Biblical woman in society I think it was
6:57 Elizabeth Elliott that said Being a
6:59 woman does not make me a better
7:01 Christian or a certain Christian but
7:04 being a Christian makes me a very
7:06 different woman and I think
7:09 understanding yes your biblical role but
7:12 also like you're be the woman that your
7:14 future husband deserves like be the
7:17 woman that you know God wants you to be
7:20 you don't have to be out partying don't
7:22 you know be crazy thinking like I'm
7:23 running out of time when you're God is
7:27 the author of time so just chill you
7:28 know like you're going to find your
7:31 human God God knows your timing and I
7:32 think that that's another thing right
7:34 now that you see too you know young men
7:36 and women you hear it all the time like
7:37 where am I going to find my future
7:39 spouse how do I find my future spouse
7:41 maybe at America festiv but maybe I know
7:44 so you never know but it's you know it's
7:45 one of those things where it's really
7:48 important that you you have to have an
7:50 environment where it's conducive towards
7:53 swimming in a a stream of significance
7:56 where you you know you're around people
7:58 that are pouring into you that are
8:00 loving on you that are a conducive
8:02 environment for you to be the person
8:03 that you need to be it's really
8:05 important yeah and I mean my advice to
8:08 young men in particular is uh you need
8:10 to stop acting like grown boys and
8:13 infants and actually become men uh and
8:16 that starts with it is not attractive I
8:18 mean Erica can support this it's not
8:20 attractive to women uh how much liquor
8:23 you can drink or how many drugs you
8:25 could do or how many women you've slept
8:26 with I think it's actually not
8:29 interesting at all um it's the opposite
8:31 it's are you able to support the family
8:33 and do difficult things and be able to
8:37 Bear an obligation to be able to do this
8:40 very challenging thing called life and
8:42 what we've done is we have created a
8:45 condition where it's okay for men to
8:47 kind of continue to um stay in that
8:50 infant stage and that goes for both men
8:53 and women women you need to Dem demand
8:55 more out of men as well and Men you need
8:58 to demand more out of yourself and I say
8:59 this all the time which is is I asked
9:01 the question like why are you drinking
9:02 alcohol it makes me feel good okay
9:04 that's a really stupid reason actually
9:05 I'm not saying if you want to drink it's
9:06 fine I'm not trying to be a legalist
9:08 about it but actually give me a good
9:09 reason is it going to help you succeed
9:10 is it going to help you flourish help
9:12 you thrive and the answer is this the
9:14 highest performing people that you guys
9:16 like at this conference are people that
9:18 actually don't drink alcohol tuer
9:20 Carlson Donald Trump they don't drink
9:22 alcohol actually and again if you want
9:24 to do it fine do it in moderation be
9:26 responsible and all that I don't drink
9:28 again I'm not trying to say it's because
9:29 you know it makes you right here's the
9:31 thing your mornings are easier way
9:34 easier to keep off weight by the way and
9:37 immediately you become more focused and
9:39 a much more clear thinker about the
9:41 problems in front of you and you never
9:44 have to worry as if your mind and your
9:47 being is going to be put in Jeopardy by
9:49 some substance you put into your body by
9:51 the way you'll save a ton of money as
9:53 well just so we're clear like a ton of
9:55 money people say I'm broke like really
9:57 how much you spend on liquor a week and
9:59 the answer is probably a lot and and
10:02 going even deeper and beyond that um I
10:04 think it's really important that we
10:06 understand that the battle is between
10:08 obviously your flesh and your
10:09 inclination to try to do what you want
10:11 to do whenever you want to do it but
10:13 that is why God gave us the law and the
10:15 law is a school teacher towards Christ
10:17 because look if it was easy then we
10:18 wouldn't actually need the law you just
10:19 kind of follow your flesh follow your
10:21 heart do whatever you want to do no you
10:23 actually must restrain your impulses and
10:26 restrain your desires and that is what
10:29 actually marks a successful or person in
10:30 pursuit of what is good true and
10:32 beautiful well and on top of that think
10:35 about it if you not just you but if
10:37 someone was drinking and totally
10:39 inebriated and you got an emergency
10:41 phone call at 3:00
10:43 a.m. like if someone really needs you
10:47 that loves you that's not good and
10:48 basically if you get super drunk you're
10:50 telling the world I actually don't have
10:52 that much important stuff going on
10:53 that's basically what you're saying that
10:54 actually I don't matter other people
10:56 that much but when you don't drink
10:58 you're like I am willing to serve my
11:00 neighbor my friend my spouse my sister
11:02 at any
11:05 time well and then I I get this question
11:07 all the time and I want you to share
11:09 with it you you're a father now
11:13 obviously but what advice can you give
11:16 to Young dads that are either about to
11:19 have their first child or just had their
11:22 first child what would you I mean we've
11:24 been through all of that but how I mean
11:26 what would you say to help encourage
11:28 them well I I would say you need to
11:30 understand the biblical role of the
11:31 father again I'm still learning this
11:33 I've only been at it you know for 2 and
11:35 a half years so young but when it comes
11:38 to your child you are tasked to protect
11:40 them both physically spiritually and
11:43 emotionally in really outside the house
11:45 and obviously in other ways as well
11:47 quality time is everything you're not
11:49 above any of the duties or the tasks of
11:52 the roles but you're also you as a
11:55 father and as the provider you need to
11:57 get your act together so much that your
12:00 wife never has a Financial pressure ever
12:02 on the family and if you have not done
12:04 that then you got to get your act
12:06 together and let me tell the men out
12:08 there you do not spend a dime on video
12:11 games or sports games or things for
12:13 yourself until your wife does not have
12:15 to worry about finances you come last in
12:17 the family when it comes to finances
12:20 period that is your job your wife gets
12:22 whatever she wants whatever she wants
12:23 the kids get whatever they want and I
12:24 hear all the time like well it's really
12:25 hard to meet ANS meet like let's go get
12:26 a beer I'm like give have no reason
12:28 actually to do that like you are tasked
12:30 with the provider oh you want all the
12:31 benefits of being called the head of the
12:33 household but now the responsibilities
12:36 are the obligations and it comes with a
12:38 lot of responsibilities and so again I
12:39 speak very directly to young men Erica
12:42 is the you know young woman Outreach um
12:43 part of this but young men need to be
12:45 talked this way actually because they
12:47 say oh I want to be a dad like really
12:48 are you earning enough money have you
12:49 done the right work have you asked for a
12:51 raise asked for promotion got up earlier
12:52 stayed up later to make sure your family
12:54 does not have any Financial pressures or
12:56 issues people say oh you know it's not
12:57 that easy I understand that but then you
13:00 need to come last in everything in the
13:01 sense where I'm I'm not going to spend
13:03 money on myself until my family is able
13:05 to not have that kind of financial
13:07 pressure and guess what you as men are a
13:09 lot tougher and a lot more productive
13:10 and can work a lot harder than you think
13:12 you can push yourself even harder you
13:13 could do a double double you could do an
13:15 all nighter you can do the rede flight
13:16 across the country you could push
13:17 yourself to be able to provide for the
13:18 family because here's the one thing I
13:20 have found once you have kids there is
13:22 this primal thing that comes into you
13:24 where if you think you have worked hard
13:26 before when you have to go feed a child
13:28 and provide for a family you are willing
13:30 to go to the ends of the Earth and push
13:31 yourself in ways that you never thought
13:33 possible and that is your initial and
13:35 most important task as a [Applause]
13:40 [Applause]
13:44 father so last year it was here I am
13:46 what is the word this I you haven't told
13:48 me yet so I'm like bracing myself what's
13:50 a good word for 2025 I mean right now my
13:52 word is just thank you honestly thank
13:55 you to God thank you to our creator for
13:57 sparing us from this
13:59 Terror I I I don't have anything more
14:01 profound than that honestly uh I'm just
14:03 still kind of in this constant state of
14:06 gratitude and our posture before the
14:08 election was the same as it is now in
14:11 one sense God what is your will if your
14:15 will is to see this country go into the
14:17 Judgment that we deserve then we will
14:19 praise you
14:21 exactly I don't know if you guys heard
14:22 that or not but as soon as I said
14:25 judgment some sort of oxygen tank
14:27 exploded or
14:30 something it's very Cosmic
14:33 um and so yeah I mean that's I just say
14:36 thank you and look I i' I'm I'm actually
14:39 excited for off election years because I
14:40 love reading I love studying I can
14:43 finally get back to myund books a year I
14:45 kind of got off that this last year
14:47 because I was just too busy reading the
14:49 news and looking at polling and turnout
14:51 data and Precinct by Precinct modeling
14:53 and you're still listening to Prager I
14:54 was still listening to prer by the way
14:56 can we all just say a prayer for Dennis
14:58 Prager right now an American hero that I
14:59 don't know if you you guys know this or
15:01 not but Dennis is hospitalized in a very
15:04 serious condition um I can't say more
15:07 than that but Dennis uh is in a very
15:10 serious um circumstance right now and
15:11 deserves our prayers uh that God might
15:14 heal him and God might bring him back to
15:16 this stage right here on America Fest at
15:18 some point because we need Dennis Prager
15:20 in this country Dennis Prager is an
15:23 American hero um but you're right I did
15:26 I I I continued listening to Dennis and
15:28 Larry AR that is for that is for sure so
15:31 also I want to brag on Erica and in
15:34 addition to being uh an incredible
15:37 mother and phenomenal wife she also runs
15:40 a Ministry in her spare time that helps
15:44 you read the entire Bible in one year
15:46 you know what I'm talking about it is
15:49 called Bible in 365.com write it down go
15:50 to the website right now honestly take
15:54 out your phone it is Bible in 365.com
15:57 what she does is she makes it so easy
15:59 for you to read the entire Bible in one
16:01 year she will text you the verses She
16:04 will email the verses and honestly if
16:06 you've never read the Bible you should
16:08 go read every single word of the word of
16:09 God it will change your life it will
16:11 heal you it will challenge you it'll
16:14 deepen you and she will do it in micro
16:15 bits of how do you do it Old Testament
16:17 New Testament psalms and Proverbs right
16:19 it's only about seven minutes it's Bible
16:22 in 365.com it's free of charge how many
16:24 people have gone through it we have over
16:26 180,000 that have gone through the
16:29 program since 180,000 people wasn't that
16:32 amazing that have gone through the Bible
16:34 in one year lives have changed people
16:35 have given their lives to Christ
16:36 marriages have been formed marriages
16:38 have been formed through it yes but also
16:41 too I tell Charlie all the time I'm like
16:43 look at this cuz we get uh prayer
16:45 reports and praise request like prayer
16:48 requests praise reports and we get some
16:50 that are like thank you so much for
16:51 having this and I look at him and I'm
16:53 like this is what it's all about like we
16:55 get to be a part of people's Faith
16:57 Journey that's so special I love it but
16:59 no it's thank you it's fun it's a fun
17:01 Ministry and and the the ministry is
17:03 growing and she also runs proclaimed
17:05 Street Wear which is the best Christian
17:07 clothing line in the country they have a
17:09 booth out there that you can support so
17:10 she's an entrepreneur as much as
17:12 anything else but I highly encourage you
17:14 guys Bible and 365.com tell them the
17:16 story of how that that kind of came to
17:19 be that's in a very brief Spark Notes
17:22 version um I started for the first time
17:24 2016 I was like you know what I need to
17:25 read the Bible Covenant cover I never
17:28 have before and I created a program and
17:29 I was like I don't know who's going to
17:31 do it with me so I asked one of my
17:34 friends Jess to join me and she was very
17:37 sweet she was my accountability partner
17:39 and um every day we would check in what
17:41 did you learn today what did you know
17:43 which commentary did you use for this
17:45 and we just kept diving deeper and
17:48 anyways at the end of that um almost
17:50 towards the end of that uh unfortunately
17:52 my grandfather had passed away and that
17:56 was a very it was a very rough moment
17:59 for me cuz I loved him so much and so so
18:02 once um we I read the full Bible in a
18:06 year um I just prayed on you know God
18:08 what what direction do you want to take
18:10 this and long story short I'm not going
18:12 to get into the deep details of it but
18:13 that's when Proclaim was born that's
18:16 when Jess and I decided we should invite
18:18 a few more people so we just invited you
18:19 know the handful people that are in our
18:21 community and our friends and then it
18:23 just grew from such a small little and
18:25 that's what's so beautiful is when you
18:27 have those small little home groups or
18:29 those little communities accountability
18:31 communities and then have it watch grow
18:33 from there is really really special I
18:35 mean it's not me or anything it's all
18:38 God's God's hand so I can take no credit
18:40 as we close here any final messages for
18:42 the attendees here the pastors here on faith
18:48 night that's tough because I feel like
18:50 and just like you we have been given
18:53 such a beautiful blessing on a platter
18:55 like on a silver platter and it's up to
18:59 us to really just continue to build and
19:02 be leaders and know that like we
19:03 obviously were made for such a time as
19:06 this but truly just own it and and be
19:09 out there be the hands and the feet
19:11 don't be afraid to talk about your faith
19:15 be bold don't be afraid to say yes okay
19:16 you voted for Donald Trump but more
19:18 importantly you're a Christian and and
19:20 you're here for a purpose and like I say
19:23 like your role is to make Heaven crowded
19:24 that's why you're here we're just here
